Global Support

It is a subject thay comes up frequently. Will Israel have global support? Will we have global support? If we do this thing or that thing what will the world think of us?

When I was young and even as I got older, that was a question that I was encouraged to ignore and I do try to.

I must admit. I don’t always succeed, but I do try to consider first what God thinks of it, regardless of the consequences. Global support only counts as God allows.

The Method of the Wolf

As the wolf pack approaches the herd of buffalo they know they stand no chance against the herd. Therefore, likely to some degree by instinct, they seek to separate out the one. Generally, they look for the week one or the one that doesn’t remain close to the heard. The stragglers are the natural target of the pack.

The herd has not the intelligence to know that if they were to always charge the wolves instead of running away, the pack would have to search for dinner elsewhere. The wolf diet would not include buffalo. There is no way the pack could survive the trampling of so many hooves.

We as humans know better than the buffalo, right.

Yet, when Hitler took over Germany, he used the same method as the wolves. When he took over most of Europe, he used the same methods as the wolves. When the Bolshivics took Russia, they used the method of the wolves.

We called it the domino affect, where one small nation falls after the other. However, the truth is they were following the example of the wolves, whether or not they were aware of it. Always seek out the weak and separate. Then in days, they take over Hungary or Romania. The method failed in Afghanistan, but because of the help of the US.

Today, even at this time, the communists play the part of the wolfpack. They have imprisoned hundreds of innocent people from January 6. We, the herd, did nothing. Now what stands in the way. The herd has been scattered and we are in fear.

We live in fear of the woke and we live in fear of a justice system that is controlled by the wolfpack.

Money, Money, Money

Off and on, I’ve been following hearings on antisemitic speach and activities on our colleges. I have found the college leadership horrid in this respect; or maybe I should say it is without respect.

Then, or should I say now we see, there is an altogether different nature of respect, although it is one of the oldest. It seems once people and governments begin the threat of withholding fortunes, attitudes change. Indeed, resignations are submitted. Apologies, begrudgingly come forth.

Why should I bring this to mind? For what purpose do I write these few words. To be sure, what prompts me to raise this to the world’s attention?

As usual, it seems as if, if you really want the colleges and universities to behave themselves, it’s a simple matter of talking money, or should I suggest you withhold your dollars. You and I both know even the threat of loss of dollars speaks volumes.

Well, they have no fear of me withholding my fortune. I have none. Still, I do what little I can. Hopefully others will too. Antisemitic activities should not be tolerated in any of our colleges, certainly not those receiving our tax dollars.

Finally, antisemitism ought not be tolerated in this country. If we can tolerate those whose nationality has done what they can do, to the point of building destruction and murder of lives, then we ought to tolerate a race that has been nothing but peaceful and beneficial to our nation and our economy.

Don’t you think?

They’ve Built Their Own House

Those who have eyes have likely noticed that the movie industry is hurting. Box office sales have been plummeting. That is a way of saying that they are losing money.

As I have said many times before, I am not the expert, but some things are casual to the most obvious observer. It is interesting to note that theaters continued to draw crowds during the worst of the depression, which seems to reduce the concept that it is economic.

Certainly TV has had a lot to do with it. At first, it could be totally ignored. The screens of televisions were small and strictly black and white. Also, only the theaters had the latest and best shows. Finally, the movie theater had a certain thing, a magic to them.

For this reason, people were willing to pay the 10 or 15 cents of the day. However, as time passed, the TVs grew larger, and then came color. Even so, the movie industry grew. However, they were looking for newer, different plots. They started pushing the envelope as to what they would show and say. Innuendos became less implied and more, outright plain.

Eventually, of course they reached the point where they said anything and showed everything. It was the advantage they still had over TV, which was still regulated by the FCC.

Then came cable and suddenly, anything that was on the big screen could be seen on the small screen. Now, if not before, for sure now, the movie industry had some real competition.

Still, in spite of it all, they were managing, though I suspect even then, it had begun its failure. While there was a day, a family could afford the occasional night at the theater, not so much anymore. The 50 cent tickets of my youth had risen to ten and fifteen dollars. When you’re taking a family of 6, many times the decision is made to wait a few months for the movie to go to cable or even broadcast TV.

This all brings me to the final two blows that just almost hit at the same time. First there is the loss of substance. I think I have counted 3 versions of the OK Corral; maybe 4 or 5 of the the Alamo. How many times has the Titanic been sunk. I know the Poseiden has gone down at least twice.

The other problem originated in a lab in China and litterally destroyed people, businesses and who knows knows what all. It very well might have sounded the death knell to the, so called, siver screen.

So it is that after nearly a century of shining the big spot lights on themselves, the industry, as it is, will likely go under.

Is it salvageable? I don’t know. I used to frequent the theater. I went to see Sound of Music 4 times at the Fox Wilshire. It was reported that there was one woman who saw the movie once a day for the 4 years of the exclusive run at the Fox Wilshire. She had the entire script commited to memory.

Nonetheless, the movie had tremendous success. People were willing to pay the price to see it, sometimes multiple times because it was a good movie, which was done very well. And, by the way, it had no profanity or nudity. Was it the best movie of all time. I don’t know. However, it certainly was one of the most successful.

It is solid proof that profanity and nudity is not nearly as successful as good quality and material.

It has been years now since I’ve gone to the theater. I have been waiting for a good movie. It would seem that Hollywood has been so busy taking bows after the horrid recently made stuff, that they seem to have forgotten that attractive leading acters is but one small part of a success.

The one thing I do find interesting is that for just about a century, they have made huge advances in equipment and special effects while the plots and dialog have been taking a nosedive.

Bottom line. People will not return to the theater until the theaters start providing something worth paying for. Recently, I have not seen anything worth the 5 dollars of yesteryear, let alone the current prices.

Arrival of a King

It is a common thing to have a celebratory greeting of a visiting head of state. If the leader from a friendly major country visits, we would, so to speak, roll out the red carpet. Generally, we would have a big band and, many from the press would be there. Certainly, there would be many dignitaries, maybe the president, himself.

As the visiting dignitary left the plane, people would greet him and shake his hand. There might be a military representation who would provide a ceremonial salute.

It happens frequently. On the other hand, when a president visits other countries, it is not without much pomp and circumstance. We have grown to expect it.

Yet, a little over 2000 years ago, a king arrived and hardly anyone noticed it. There were but an uncertain number of shepherds who left their sheep to greet the greatest king ever. They, and they alone spent a short time to visit Him and and His parents.

As a side note, the wisemen did not arrive with their gifts for likely a year or more later. The only dignitaries who met the king on arrival were a few unnamed shepherds.

However, we today, and will into the foreseeable future, celebrate His arrival worldwide, moreso than ever any head-of-state. Indeed, some even celebrate His arrival while denying Him. Nations celebrate His arrival who worship idols.

That…that is recognition that no one has or ever will receive. People sing of Him him and know Him not. They exchange gifts in His name while knowing not why.

One day, likely soon, Jesus will return. This time, it will not be just a small group of shepherds who will see Him. Indeed, He will be seen by all and recognized by all. I have no authority to say as much, but I suspect that that will include the blind.

I say this as an encouragement. If you don’t know the one we celebrate at Christmas, I suggest you take the time to genuinely find out who He is. It is a poor idea to ignore one who is so great.

The Hated Truth; The Fear of the Light

Jesus walked this world a little over 2 thousand years ago. That… is indisputable. He and what He did is Biblical and historical. That He performed miracles was well known. It was one of the reasons the leaders of Israel sought to take His life.

To be sure, Jesus gave his life. They didn’t take it. It was foretold in the scriptures, Isaiah, psalms and Daniel to mention a few. Yet the leaders still did their part to fulfill their part of those prophecies.

And why was it that they killed a man who’s only crime was to do good, heal people and teach the truth. It does seem to be the nature of folks, especially those in power. You see, the leadership looked on Jesus as competition. They were desperately afraid, first that He would replace them in their powerful places of leadership. Second that He would put light on motives and the people would see them for what they were. For most of them, it would have been very embarrassing.

It is not the first time nor will it be the last. People, bad people seek power and they will do whatever it takes to get it. And, such people hate people who tell the truth that others might see their motives and their purpose. Such people fear the light, which will possibly expose their sin, their theft greed and their deeds.

Certainly, President Trump was far from being an angel. He used horrible language. He did things I am sure I would never want to admit to my parents, or anyone for that matter.

However, his primary sin he committed was that he confronted the very worst in government. He spoke the truth and exposed the the wrongdoers on both sides of the isle. He shined the light on the sins of the rich and powerful.

Trump was not nearly anything like Jesus, but when it comes to truth and light, he was accomplishing about the same thing, though in a more crude means.

For his efforts, no one received more torture in perhaps 2000 years. Okay. I admit. I am exaggerating. However you get the idea.

The fact is that he has had falsehood after falsehood leveled against him. Once he disproves one thing, they charge him with two more. And like Jesus, they are going after Trump’s followers.

I guess they figure they don’t want any of his friends spreading the truth either. It would stand to reason they don’t like the idea of any light exposure from any one or anything. It would mean the loss of prestige, money and…of course, power. For sure, how can they maintain control without the power.

and, to the dems, control is everything.

Remembering Jimmy

I remember the days when Jimmy Carter ran for president. Talk about a wolf in sheep’s clothing. It was the very example of the dangers of the enemy hiding amongst the citizenry.

There were those in my church that were saying how wonderful it was that we were finally going to have a born again Christian in The White House. Some of them got to my my wife and she voted for him, a mistake she hates to admit to to this day. I strongly suspect she’s not alone.

“He teaches Sunday school,” she told me. “He must be a good man.”

The man never did one thing to benefit Christianity. Actually, he did little to nothing. He was, and is one horrible example of a Christian.

I was in the Marines when he took office. What an absolute joke he was to all the military services, especially the Marines. By the time he left office, our readiness had been cut to less than half of what it was. And I won’t even bring up one of the most embarrassing episodes, the hostage situation.

Perhaps the very worst part of it all, he was an example, more accurately, a horrible example of Christianity. People all over the country, indeed, all over the world got an up close look at one of the worst inept leaders that ever walked this planet.

And, of course, under him, Planned Parenthood, established their tentacles into our government at every level. It became highly respected and real Christians have had to deal with them ever since.

The Bible says that by their fruits, you shall know them. It is not in the Bible, but many have said, we as Christians should be fruit inspectors. Well, I have inspected Jimmy’s fruit and found them smelly and rotten.

There is a reason the man served but one term. Yet, it has been said that Jimmy should thank Old Joe for replacing him as worst president. I suspect that is true but for one thing. Old Joe can truthfully say, “I didn’t know what I was doing.”

And the moral of the story is, not everyone claiming to be a born again Christian is.

Turn Around, There’s a Cliff Ahead!

I didn’t get all the details as I was distracted at the time. However, near as I can tell, the Disney company is starting to have problems. I would guess their movies are not doing well. I would guess they have had a drop off in park attendance. Maybe they are having trouble selling those little toys associated with the movies.

It is, as I said, a guess. I am not a business genius, but I would suspect they have what we in computers the dumb flip-flop stuck in the on condition.

They need not panic yet, though it would appear they just might be near the precipice.

My advice is simple. When you discover that you are going the wrong way, turn around and go back where you came from. They might improve things when they can tell the difference between boys and girls. They just might start improving things by going back to a true family centered corporation, sorta the way Walt Disney originally intended.

Christians, have a word for this. Repent. That is to say realize that what you are doing is wrong, stop, turn around and go back in the other direction.

Oh yes. One more thing! Bring prces back down, and I mean a bunch. I know Disney deals in fantasy land, but the rest of us must keep our feet solid on dirt, or at least most of us. Disney has done raised the price well beyond what most of us can afford.

Remember, Disneyland is an option. Food, shelter and gas are necessary.

Who Are the Victims

The Muslims would like us to believe that they are the number one victims in the world. It is simply not true. The Muslim victims account for roughly 15% of religion based hate crimes while 57 % were committed by anti-Jews. Not even close.

No such crimes should be committed at all. However, I think it is time for the Muslims to find someone else’s shoulder to cry on, not mine. Far more crimes are committed against a far smaller population of Jews. And, I might add, with far less reason.

Careful, Eqates Don’t Always Work

One eqate that is largely wrong is when you eqate Catholicism with all Christianity. Indeed, the reformation was because of very firm disagreements. I must add at quite danger. Those who separated themselves from trom Catholicism were threatened by the leaders in the Catholic Church.

Moreover, it is a mistake to equate the Catholic church exclusively as “The Church.”

Finally, it is a mistake to attribute all the errors of the Catholics to all Christians.

I understand the anger the Jews feel toward the Catholics. And, indeed, there are those who called themselves Christians who behaved as badly or worse than Catholics.

I believe it was Satan, himself behind it, which would mean that people who call themselves Christians have been used as tools by the devil, himself.

I’m not going to go into the details. The Israelis now them far better than me. However, real Christians wouldn’t, or at least should not treat Jews badly, if only for selfish reasons. Who in their right mind would want a curse from treating a Jew wrongly? Why would we as Christians pass on a chance to receive the reward for treating God’s chosen people well.

Besides, treating anyone right is only right. And I will be the first to admit, Jews, in the name of Christianity were frequently treated Jews badly.

But, it is not limited to those who go to mass weekly. The dems have promised the Jews a fair deal. These are the same ones who harbor within their party the folk that have promised the destruction of all decendants of Jacob.

I should not have to tell anyone the line that Old Joe is trying to walk. He says one thing to the Israelis. Then, in almost the same breath, he issues his promisis to those who would destroy every Jew. He paints himself as a peacemaker while requiring nothing from Hamas and everything from the Jews. He suggest compromise of those who refuse to give an inch, unless they are forced.

It is the awkward position he put himself in. He wants the loyalty of Israel while fawning over terrorists. He knows the dems cannot afford to lose either political faction. Then again, he very well might lose both, demonstrating a no loyalty to to either.

Meanwhile, it is the Republicans truly providing support for the nation, Israel.

One more quick reminder. It was FDR, a dem that turned away the Jews seeking asylum from Germany during WWII. Check into it. He was a racist. It is a historic fact.

He could have permitted millions into the US. He chose to let them remain in the hands of the Germans.

This was a double mistake. It permitted Adolf to put many Jews to death, frequently after long periods of suffering. Also, if he had allowed them in, it would have been a huge help to our war effort. Many of those turned away by FDR were very intelligent. Moreover, I imagine the War Department was looking for people fluent in German.
