Neutral Law Enforcement

During my thirties, my job took me to New York, just outside Syracuse. There’s a nice park there where I used to walk. It beat looking at the hotel room walls.

It was the right time of year and the evenings were almost always wonderful. There was a baseball diamond there and, of course, little leaguers playing baseball.

When I stopped and watched the game, they found out I was from Mississippi. They suddenly realized they found the perfect unbiased umpire. They immediately put me to work calling balls and strikes.

Apparently, they were impressed with my fairness, if not my accuracy. They kept calling me back and they never complained, not once. Now that, in itself, is something of which for me to brag.

The point is this, people love an honest neutral arbiter, whether it be an umpire, a judge in a courtroom, a prosecutor or even law enforcement officers. I guess that nowadays it’s too much for we Americans to expect. No more fair umpires in our government. No more fair observations from TV and radio reporters. There are no hopes of getting unbiased reporting from newspapers. Finally, and worst of all, the historians are twisting history. They say things happened I know didn’t happen. At my age, I actually remember stuff firsthand.

It makes me sad. However, I have hope. There is a righteous judge. All accounts will be settled. The most devious government officials will pay. I don’t need to do a thing. God’s judgment is true. God’s judgment is sure. No one will get away with anything. Those who don’t believe it are only deceiving themselves.

What amazes me is some actually think they know and understand it. Yet, definitely, they continue their march. I can’t think of anything more foolish.

Those Who Took The Oath

The investigation is done, it concludes that Trump did nothing wrong. That means those who took an oath to enforce the law, namely, the leaders in the FBI and other federal agencies were the ones who knowingly did great wrong.

It also verified that many of the dem congregational leadership intentionaly used their office to promote lies, of course, with the aid of the media and social media.

Now, now that it is all over, the only people that are suffering are those who did nothing wrong. Indeed, some have even spent time in prison wrongly. Certainly Joe and his friends had their part in it all.

They know that they have gotten away with it. However, be sure God will avenge.

Frequently Asked Questions

On the subject of Frequently Asked Questions, I have this to say.  Are they truly frequently asked?  Out of all the times I have ever consulted frequently asked questions, I never found the one for which I needed an answer.  Worse yet, I could never find a category.  They always list 4, 5 or 6 categories, then “Other.”  Then when I look under other, I can’t find my question there either.  Not a thing comes close.

I guess that either makes me weird or their questions aren’t as inclusive as they would like to imply.  Moreover, it would seem that I am mostly on my own.  Frequently, I actually figure things out, though it takes some time.  On the other hand, I just tried to install a product that should have not taken over 3 hours to install.  I gave up after 16.  I don’t need any piece of software that I can’t install after 16 hours.  Moreover, it was also difficult to de-install.  Moreover, it was difficult to use.

Taught me a lesson or two.  Next time I am going to install something, I will make sure to mark the spot so I can return to whence I came.  Even that brings me angst.  I have not yet established much trust in the ability of the software that can restore that well.

Be that as I may, the whole thing prompted a thought.  Maybe the US government could establish a frequently asked question web site.  I’m not suggesting it would help much but it would be interesting just what questions they would post and what kind of answers they would concoct, for instance, “What is a woman?”

God’s law was clear, “Though shalt not murder.”  Simple.  Requires little in the way of explanation.  On the other hand, the government at every level has pages and pages on the subject.  Can you imagine querying murder on frequently asked questions?  Did you say you have a day or two to read the reply?

How about something on the subject of abortion.  No problem for the dems…any time, any place, by someone with an MD after his name.  No follow-up exam necessary.

Then, there is the matter of theft.  All you can get away with as long it has a value of less than a grand.  And, by the way, if someone stops you, you can sue their socks off, and get them too.

Contrary to the commandment, we are not to honor our parents.  The job of parenting has been turned over to the daycares, schools and colleges.  In short the government.  By the way, we’d better not forget it or the FBI will be after us.

Incidentally, if we ask who should be in control, it’s the dems.  We best not forget that either or we will be tossed in the hoosegow and we’ll not see the light of day for years, if ever.

I guess it would be a bad idea to look for that on the FAQ list.  They will look for you and prohibit you from publishing a book, being on TV or radio.  Your name will instantly be mud, perhaps literally.

Incidentally, lest I forget, bribes too are wrong, even the ones that are completely legal. The Bible does make that perfectly clear. You wouldn’t doubt what this had you read the entire Bible. It really is in there, plain and simple to see for all. It says something about the way bribes cloud judgement. I am sure that is indisputable, even if you do not believe what is written.

How Much is Enough?

I once had a hope of having a million dollars… at which time I would retire and never again work. To be sure, 10 millions wouldn’t last some more than a week. I suppose there are a few people who spend more than a million dollars in a day and think little or nothing of it.

It prompts the question, just how much is enough?

At one time, I actually had hopes of approaching the million dollars but then came Obama care. That soaked the funds out of my savings about 10 times faster than I could replenish it. I thought I had enough. Suddenly I was begnning to think I would have to work 10 years beyond my death.

There was a comedian who said it well. “I’m not selfish. All I need is enough to pay for all I need and all I want.” I guess the definition of all we want varies vary much. Moreover, some people don’t even make enough for their needs, let alone what they want.

There are many who ask if this is right. They think if we just take money from those who have more than enough for their needs and many of thier wants and give it to those who don’t have enough for their needs, it would make the world into a utopia.

Those who think that way simply don’t live in the real world. Their reasoning has been blinded by their idealism. Moreover, they started handing out cell phones to people who don’t need them. Believe it or not, cell phones are not necessities. A person can easily survive without them. Yet, socialists called them a basic need and took money away from those like me. In order to get my cell phone, I had to give up other things.

Then again, Obama and his friends had no interest in me. I was paying my way, plus a huge 1000 dollar a month health insurance premium. I never was rich and it seems the dems are determined to keep me from it.

Which actually brings me to my point. The wealthy are wealthy and are likely to remain so, due to the laws written by the friends of criminals and of course the wealthy bribing, aka lobbying, aka payoffs. Also, those not wealthy are likely to remain, as me, not wealthy. They don’t want the likes of me joining those with big bank accounts.

It seems, in reality, the government has a really hard time determining what is enough, that is to say, the difference between needs, wants and outright freebies. In addition, they don’t seem to know the difference between those down on their luck and the folks with their hands out.

If the truth be told, the FOC are not out to help the poor but rather themselves. They know that out of every dollar going through government control, some of it indirectly remains in the hands of the legislators and those who provide the payoffs aka lobbyist. It is why poor legislators become rich without any other apparent income other than the checks they draw in exchange for supposedly representing us.

QUESTION: Just what does the word lobby, as in large room, have to with bribes, as in payoffs.

News @ Ten

The program went off and the 10 o’clock news came on. The first report was about two people being shot. I slapped the arm of my chair and explained, “Every day!”

I guess the city of Memphis does have days where people aren’t shot but it seems they are rare. I might be wrong but it doesn’t seem it was that way a few decades ago. Then again, maybe I just wasn’t aware of it.

I really don’t know. That just might be normal for a city the size of Memphis. Regardless, I believe it to be far too frequent.

So, what do I suggest?

  1. Pray. Some will argue it won’t help but it certainly is more effective than praying for the victims after the fact.
  2. Make sure those committing the crimes are imprisoned. I’m not saying just killers. Thieves, drug distributors etc too. I would suspect murder is not the first crime of those criminals.
  3. Build the families. I suspect most criminals do not come from good homes.
  4. Parents, teach your children about God, about right and wrong and about the special importance of human rights, and to have a proper respect for others.
  5. Teach your children proper respect for guns.
  6. School teachers, teach that killing and stealing is wrong. They too should stress the importance of common respect.
  7. All of us need to be reminded from time to time to respect the law and those who inforce it. Without the law, without those who inforce it, we would lose far more than 2 a day.

1 year practicing the above, and there would be a noticeable positive difference. Then again, that’s not what the dems want. They like blaming guns for what people do and the love pointing out the differences between the haves and have nots as a reason to steal. I’m still trying to figure out their logic on the advantages of drug abuse.

The fact is, only the dems benefit from crime. Those two that were shot today didn’t benefit from crime, regardless of party affiliation.

Competition is a Wonderful Thing

Let’s go back to the days of yore. Let’s imagine 3 cobblers set up shop. Which one will have the most success. To some degree, the one that is the fastest. However, the cobbler who makes a thousand shoes will never succeed unless he can sell his shoes. Therefore, his shoes need to be of good quality and the proper sizes. No one will buy shoes that are too small or will fall apart in a week.

If there were just 1 cobbler, we’d be stuck with whatever he wanted to make. The footware would be ugly, ill fitting and they wouldn’t last. The instant a second cobbler opens up shop, and then a 3rd and fourth, the quality would go up and the cost would go down.

It’s the way competition works and it’s wonderful. For well over 200 years, it has turned the USA to the greatest nation ever. There is no other country where people are willing to risk everything to get in. Moreover, as badly as the illegal aliens are treated, they hide in fear of being sent home.

Yet we prevent fair competition in one of the most important parts of our society. Of course private schools have a hard time competing with public schools. The government is picking up the tab for public schools.

Yet, there are thousands of parents willing to make great sacrifices to put their children in private schools. The why is quite simple. Public schools lack quality. They simply lack good teachers, good curriculum or good results.

The libs brag about public schools but, take away public funding and they would instantly go away. I know this is true because the libs themselves have said as much. They have said if monies are diverted to private schools, the public schools would go away. They actually live in fear of it.

Well, maybe they should go away. It is the way of competition. Only the better schools would survive. Only the best teachers would continue to teach. It is the American way. It is what made America great. Why in the world should we settle for a less than a mediocre education system when we are paying for the best?

Settling for mediocre schools is worse than Settling for mediocre shoes. And yet we stand by and watch our public school funds being poured down the proverbial drain…without results.

Who Do You Trust?

It’s an interesting question, one you should ask of yourself as well as others. I must admit the question was prompted by an old TV show where the question was the title. During the show the contestants were asked if if they trusted themselves or their spouse to answer a question.

However, we must admit that we make decisions of of trust, not only daily, but by the minute. We trust the others to follow the rules of the road. We trust those who work in stores restaurants, mechanics and many other merchants. Most of us take it for granted that when we turn that key in the ignition, the car will start. (Or we become angry) We flip the light switch in a room and, usually the room is lit.

I have noted that, according to trust, people can be divided into at least 3 categories. As in the national motto, some of us trust God. We are called Christians. Some trust themselves and not God. I call them libertarians… conservatives without morals. Then, there are the liberals. Their motto is, in government we trust. In general, they lie, cheat, and steal all for themselves and the advancements of government control. In many cases they don’t even know it. But if they have no trust in God or themselves, who do they trust.

They rely on government for medicine, welfare and their next meal. If they don’t get substance from God or their own hands, from whom will they get it? The almighty government will provide but only if the almighty government is almighty. On the other hand, Christians and libertarians don’t want want to rely so much on government. So they really prefer keeping government size down.

I have an idea. Let’s put all the liberals in 25 states…their choice. Then we stand back and watch to see how long it takes for them to destroy those states. When everyone has their trust in their government, it will take very little time for their government to fail. I suppose some states will last longer than others. Some may actually figure things out and stop putting ultimate control in the hands of fallible humans.

Loyalty?

It makes a person wonder about the loyalty of the leadership of AARP. Are they more loyal to their members from whom they get millions or to corporate bribers, from whom they get hundreds of millions.

Do you suppose that was why they came out in favor of Obama care even though most of their members were agin-it.

Proof

The recent train derailing in Ohio has resulted in the following solid proof.

  1. dems are only interested in ecology when it is politically adventurous for them. You notice how Joe and Pete and their dem friends are trying to ignore the obvious disaster.
  2. dems can’t fix the disasters when they try. Politics, they are good at. Impeachment of guiltless presidents, they are well experienced at. Accomplishments of real work, not so much.
  3. Anything, especially oil can be shipped by pipes far more safely than train or truck. And by the way, while also producing less pollution.

Among other things, maybe the dems need to take another real look at pipelines. Then again, maybe ecology isn’t their real goal. Perhaps it isn’t the real issue. Just maybe Joe is more interested in delivering on bribes than in American interests.

Maybe It’d Not Be So Bad

The dems are complaining about the House investing the FBI’s investigations. Might be a good thing. Some of them should never have started. The first thing the next Republican president should do is to fire all the top leaders in many of departments, especially the FBI & IRS. No need for investigations, just pink slips.
