Daily writing prompt
What have you been working on?

As some of you are well aware, I have been working on the weeds in my back yard. They got out of hand when the China virus took hold of me, twice. Now, as I have the finish line in sight, I’m sick again, likely with the same stuff.

Why isn’t that so-called scientists, Fauci, in an orange jump suit and behind high walls? At the least, that cancel culture needs to cancel him.

Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely

John Dalberg-Acton is credited with the above statement. The other day, I was considering it and what the Bible says about the love of money being the root of all evil. (1st Timothy 6:10). As I thought it over, I realized that the love of power certainly has it’s part in it too.

However, there is a difference. Not everyone thirst after power as they do after money. Most of us wouldn’t want the power if it was given to us. I certainly don’t.

On the other hand, there are those who lust after power almost since birth. History is replete with them, mostly bad. Moreover, as the above saying suggest, the more power a person has, the more he wants. It becomes, as has been said by others, something of an opiate.

However, it is also true of groups and organizations. Indeed, some generals have gone insane from it. Those like Nero went absolutely mad with it. There has been more than one fight over throwns because of it. Europe was full of one war after the other during the dark and middle ages. Modern wars have been fought to either maintain or gain power, such as both world wars. The Soviet Union was formed to take power(control) of the world by lying that communism would fix everything.

The western world was not alone in the striving for power. I mean, just why was the Great Wall of China built? By the way, did you ever notice all the ancient cities were built with walls around them. For sure the walls were built frequently before the homes. Why? Because there were those who sought to rule over other cities and other nations.

Now, I ask you, what modern day organization seeks power? I’ll give you a hint. They break the law all the time and claim that others are breaking the law. They promise the moon but provide little or nothing. They break the election laws and claim their opponents do.

They take away our freedoms, (the Bill of Rights) while claiming others are trying to take away our democracy. They lie while claiming everyone else is lying. They promise life but kill by the millions.

Now let’s see, it is the dems that fraught for slavery. It was the dems that tried to keep the Black race from voting. It is the dems that tried to keep the Black people from learning to read. Now they have the nerve to try to claim the Republicans did it.

It is the dems that will not let people pray in school. It is the dems that try to make everyone pay for the killing of Black babies. (abortion) And it is the dems that are trying to keep people from having their say in colleges.

Sounds to me like those dems are maybe just a bit power hungry. Sounds to me that those dems have been corrupted by that power.

If I Were President

It is, of course. a ridiculous idea. After all, I have already admitted to being a bad leader. Still there is the little word, ‘if.’ That little word that separates reality from what might be. As I sit down her and contemplate, I wonder just how many men have considered the question before. I have heard that a person’s 40th birthday is the worst. It is when you awake to the reality that you will never be president.

Those who have read my posts already know many of the things I would do: clean out the leadership of many of the bureaucracies in DC; certainly, I would downsize many of the departments. (Education, combine intelligence agencies, etc.); I’d make other agencies more responsible as well. I would hire a ten man teem to search for waste in the systems.

I’d make sure we had a nice big wall on the border from the Pacific to the gulf. Those who are already here illegally would know to go into hiding, because I’d make sure those who are not here legally would have to leave. I’d make sure those who were not citizens or here legally would not be able to find employment. Those caught hiring people here illegally would be fined, thrown in jail or both. The deportation process would be far more effective at keeping people from crossing the border than the fence. When people know they can’t stay, they won’t go though such an effort to come here.

I simply have not one idea how I could incarcerate Fauci, but I’d have five lawyers researching it. Moreover, I’d do what I could to encourage congress to pass laws against some of the stuff he did. We have enough disease. We do not need to invent any. More importantly, we do not need to pay our enemies to develop such things.

I would encourage a few amendments. Right at the top would be term limits. While idealistically, the voters should determine term limits, history has shown us that does not work. Just look at the age of some of those senators. Therefore, I would encourage age limits as well.

I am not so idealistic as to think I could get any such thing passed immediately. Too many old codgers in there that would vote against it. It would have to be grandfathered in. In other words, it would not apply to those already in the House or Senate. Not my preference, but it would be the only way to get it to pass.

I would insist that all bills passed by congress be shortened. Long bills have a tendency to have a lot of pork and they are difficult to understand. If they send me a 10,000 page book, I’d would simply veto it. When they pass a law, the people are expected to live by these laws. Only lawyers have the time to read 10,000 page books.

Certainly, I would do what I could to help the production of oil. When Joe slowed the oil production, he did almost as much damage as everything else he did. Low prices for fuel would help to solve a long list of problems. The cost of energy affects everything.

I would appoint someone to look into those arrested on Jan 6. Most, I would pardon. Those that caused damage would be commuted to a lesser sentence. I would make sure that that Epps character would be investigated. If appropriate, he’d be tried, convicted and tossed in prison for as long as possible. He’s a good example of someone who needs to be made an example.

There are many other things I would do, but what’s the point of covering them. I’m not 40 and I’ll never be president. However, as bad a leader as I am, there is not a doubt in my mind that I would do far better than Old Joe. And I’m but five years younger than he is.

Now. As for that presidential limo. I just wonder. Would it be possible to convert it to elect power. No need angering those going green folks unnecessarily.

A Word About Social Media

It is why I will never get on Ticktock or Facebook or anything similar. Perhaps I could be more well known if I did, but those folks have a serious problem. They publish lies without hesitation. The truth they disallow, while calling it a lie. That which aids and abets our enemy is welcome while that which encourages patriotism is verboten. They have permitted the rewriting of history, especially American history.

Well, let’s see what I mean. What about the virus. Much of what they would not permit from good ethical doctors could not be published. That damaging, which the dems wanted, was published and encouraged. Perhaps millions died because of that. It kept at least three effective meds from being used while allowing meds that had no effect. It caused two-year-olds to have to wear masks when they knew they had no effect. It obliterated the restaurant industry, especially in NY, NY and It just almost brought the American economy to an absolute halt. And then, as if that was not enough, they caused the US to go into a debt that we might never crawl out of, at least for another 100 years. Finally, they helped the dems outright steal an election right in front of our eyes. (Don’t tell me different. I saw what I saw. Others did too, but it is inconvenient for them to remember.)

People ask me why I won’t get on a social media. Now, you know why. I would appreciate it very much if you would let others know.

Incidentally, has anyone noticed the big increase in crime these last few years, especially shootings? Most of us don’t like it. The dems love it. It gives them a reason… well it just gives them reasons. That’s what they want.

The Odds

I’m not a big fan of math. It just is that when a person plans to go into a career as electronics, it is essential. I mean ohm’s law, the calculations of impedance and such all uses math. It even gets into calculus a little when dealing with vectors and such.

However, math is used in a wide range of other things. Certainly, it is used in physics and chemistry. When packing the aircraft during the Berlin air lift, they even came up with a new math, to make sure all aircraft were loaded to the max both weight and space.

One branch of math that is not talked about too much are the laws of probability. Some of this stuff can make an insane man normal. For instance, you toss a penny 100 times and the laws of probability tells us that it will likely land on tails and heads equally, or at least nearly equally. Of course, the more times you toss the penny, the more apt that the heads and tails will be equal.

Yet, those who specialize in studying odds tell us that, even should we end with tails 80 out of a hundred times, the chances of it coming up heads is still 50%. (either that or there’s something wrong with the penny)

Then there is a special branch of odds within math. These mathematicians try to know the odds are that you will live to a certain age. I’m not sure, but I think most of them work for the insurance company.

Just so you don’t get the wrong idea, I am not an expert in this field. However, I do have a broad idea about it all. For instance, the odds of me living past 72 are pretty small. Some die earlier. Some manage to beat the odds and live past a hundred.

Oddly, so far I have beat those odds. I spent one year in a war zone. I rode a motorcycle for over two years. Believe it or not, for a large part of my life, no one wore seat belts. The first couple of cars I owned didn’t even have them. Then, for quite a while after, we still didn’t wear them.

I don’t know how I made it through those years, but I did. On the other side of the coin, something could happen and I’d be gone tomorrow. When I was in the Marines, I saw a twenty year old marine die as he was walking along. The doc said he was dead before he hit the ground. Now, you talk about being against the odds. That shouldn’t have happened. I really wished it hadn’t

At any rate, things like that have a tendency to tip the mortality tables a little. On the other hand, something else that will tip the mortality tables is playing with guns. I saw that too. The guy was playing quick draw with a .38. For those unaware, it is a worse practice than going without seat belts.

I bought the new all electric car. All the mortality charts likely say I won’t live the seven years to pay the car off. If I do, I’ll be eighty and I might not be able to drive it. As a financially responsible, person, I need to make sure the car will be paid for should I die. I’m sort of in that boat now. On the other hand, maybe I ought to go back to work.

Actually, I would enjoy working three days a work. Unfortunately, I might not be able to. I don’t know if anyone will hire an old man to flip hamburgers or mop floors. It would be better if people would help me out by buying my books. (hint, hint)

This side of seventy, I’ve sort of been doing some thinking, as dangerous as that may sound. Those people who study the mortality really have their hands full. When a person is born, they calculate just what his chances are of reaching my age. Not only that, they try to determine the cause of death. Will it be disease, accident, murder, or maybe peanuts. No way of knowing but they still guess. Every year they release figures that tell you what what your chances are of dying of a shark attack. Then, of course we stop eating red meat or drinking things with artificial sweeteners. We stay of the ocean and we make sure to fasten the seat belts. Then of course, people start dying from obesity and lack of protein. We start going blind and losing limbs because of diabetes.

Fact is that we, none of us, can avoid death. We can avoid too much meat, we can avoid artificial sweeteners we can avoid smoking and smokers with extreme care. Moreover, some might wear helmets in their cars, or maybe not ride in cars at all. In order to avoid the cars we will use the safer plane, even if we just need to go ten miles.

Naturally, each form of death can be further broken down. For instance, illness takes in cancer, heart disease, neurological problems, and on and on. Then cancer can be broken down further into I have no idea how many. Two of my four brothers died of brain cancer. Every doctor I ever talked to has said that is very rare. I’ll just have to take their word for it as I don’t know. I did see them just before they died and I saw it was a horrible way to die.

Then, of course there are the overdoses of drugs. I just can’t figure that one out. Unlike cancer, it is totally preventable. I hear a few politicians say a few things here and there. The only one I saw that really did something was President Trump. Then of course, the dems did something about that. Now the problem is worse than before. I wonder what those people that study odds and mortality have to say about that. The government spent untold fortunes curing AIDS. Who is trying to solve the problem of drug abuse?

Then there are the murders. Most murders don’t have anything to do with guns. The dems are trying to get rid of the guns and they are letting the other murderers out on in the streets minutes after the murder. I don’t understand that. I wonder if those that study odds have something to say about it.

I’m still trying to figure out how the dems can cry out against the guns when they themselves are the authors of millions of deaths, in Ukraine, Afghanistan and Iraq. Then too, what about the disaster we call the pandemic. Could have been totally avoided if China was not financed by the dems and specifically Fauci. How many deaths were caused in this country by guns? Look it up. How many have died from the China virus. I suspect that far more were killed by Fauci and his dem friends than all the guns.

90 Lifetime Sentences

Good! The man deserved it. The Texas gunman killed 23 people. It’s a shame he will survive only until he dies. It would be good if he would serve out a sentence of 90 times 70 years. However, that is simply not possible.

Now, on the other hand, Fauci was responsible for the deaths of over a million. Yet, he won’t spend a day of encarceration. It’s just not right. The man should at least spend a hundred years in prison.

If Only There Were Fines

I don’t need to quote the first amendment to you. You might even know it better than I do. Basically, hopefully, it protects our freedom of speech and religion, among other things. It seems that the FBI and other officials of the federal government were doing all they could to decrease, even eliminate, those rights by telling the social media to stop people from being able to use the social media to say certain things.

It’s all out in the open now. Even Old Joe’s press secretary has implicitly admitted it in a press conference. Moreover, she said they would do it again if they felt they needed to. Now isn’t that nice. They don’t stop us from saying what we want. They just make sure others do. Same thing. No difference. That gag that was put on conservatives was by the government, by remote control. Moreover, they seem to be proud of themselves for doing it.

My question now is, how are things going to be set right. People have lost their jobs because of what they did. Doctors have lost their practices. Lawyers have been shunned. Some have even gone to jail. Let us not forget the two and three-olds that were tossed out of planes because they refused to wear masks. Certainly, we don’t want to overlook the schools that were shut down by a few power-hungry animals.

Now, let’s see. What do I think should happen now. The people who met with those social outfits should be tried. If found guilty, they should be required to pay fines.

I only wish it were possible. However, I don’t think it is. Odd as it is, even if found guilty, I don’t think that any fines can be levied. I don’t think they can be forced to spend one day in prison. I don’t know. I’m not a lawyer.

Perhaps I can get a lawyer and prove the Director of the FBI caused me harm by impeding my speech. However, no matter how successful I am with my suit, I don’t think I could collect a dime. Though the Constitution does say that the government cannot pass any laws against my freedom of speech, as far as I know, there are no statutes prescribing any penalties or fines for government officials limiting my speech, directly or indirectly.

So, unless I am wrong, and I really hope I am, those that have been wronged have but one recourse…shrug their shoulders and strive on. Perhaps one thing we need to do, if we can ever wrestle the government away from those power hungry dems, we need to put some teeth to the first amendment, and maybe a few of the others too. When a government official crosses the line, let’s make sure he pays, if not with his freedom, then at least with his wallet.

Is It Is, or Is It Was?

Odd question, isn’t it? Is it something that still is, or is it something that was, that is to say, no longer exists. The question came to mind as I was watching one of those Law-and-Order things. don’t remember which. I think it was filmed a year or two before the China virus.

In the background was a large restaurant. I ignored the foreground for a while and looked at the restaurant. There it was. I suspect it was a real restaurant with real owners and real employees. I suspect they had a regular clientele right there in NY, NY someplace. I wonder if it still is. I wonder if it is one of those places that was and is no more.

Perhaps the owner went bankrupt. Perhaps he was one of those horrible statistics. NY, NY was one of the hardest hit cities. Moreover, the mayor and governor had no idea what they were doing. Even if the restaurant is still there, they might have lost many of their regulars. There were many restaurant goers who no longer go to restaurants.

It is another reminder that one day, in a country halfway around the world, a lab was doing unthinkable research and one of the greatest disasters ever, began when some of those super microscopic semi-living organisms escaped and the world will never be the same.

President Trump said it started in China so he called it the China virus. I watched as it spread, first from the west and then from the east to my little corner of the world. I think I had it twice. I guess God decided to keep me around for a while. I suffered, yes, but I’m still here. Don’t think I’ll ever be the same again. I don’t have nearly the energy.

I watched it on TV. First, they talked about tens, then hundreds the hundreds of thousands. It spread so fast, sort of like it was designed to do that. My thought was it was those horrid Chinese. Then my eyes were opened. We financed that research. It was money from this country that killed the millions. No one really pays any attention once we start talking thousands.

As for me, I like to think in terms of individuals. So, here I am wondering if that restaurant is or if it was.

How quickly the dems accuse Republicans of being Nazis. Yet, can one dem point out one Republican that caused more death than Fauci. Has there ever been a conservative that has caused such disruption to international trade and travel. Has so much as one person on the right side of the isle caused 2- and 3-year-olds to wear masks on airlines, when they knew they do no good. And by the way, does anyone remember that the airlines, all of them almost went bankrupt.

Let’s put Fauci in prison and throw the key away, the sooner the better.

Must be a Shortage of Orange Jump Suits

It’s all out now. The investigation is done. Even the dems are beginning to admit to The Virus starting in a lab in China. That is where the deaths of millions of people started. That is where all the suffering started. Incidentally, it is also where President Trump’s loss of election started. Old Joe would have not been able to hide in his basement had there been no virus. He would have actually had to make appearances, which would have uncovered his lack of reality.

One who has a little reasoning ability just might get the idea that it was all intentional. Naw. Never happen. That would mean a man named Fauci arranged the death of millions worldwide just so as President Trump would lose an election. Absolutely no human on the face of the earth would be so cold, so monstrous.

However, regardless, Fauci did arrange the financing of the research. Fauci fought every effort to gain control over it. Fauci did all he could to ruin the lives of every man woman and child in this country. He knew the masks were useless and yet he fought for them. He knew children were relatively resistant to it. And yet he closed all schools, well except for a few Republican states.

I’ve got to believe that if they could convict him of a crime, they would. I mean if anyone should stand trial for murder, he ought to. Yet, he isn’t. He created his havoc, and he made his millions. Then he retired and is not suffering one bit for his intentional sufferings.

Could it be that we have a problem convicting him?

Oh! I GOT IT! I FIGURED IT OUT! I KNOW WHY HE WILL NEVER SEE THE INSIDE OF A PRISON. I am convinced I know the reason. We have run out of orange jump suits.

Maybe, perhaps someone will be willing to offer one of their own; maybe one that is used. Then we can put that monster in the place he deserves to go for the next thousand years.

(How can this be. Make sure, after he dies, he does not get buried until his body has finished his term. It would serve there as an example for future would be monsters.)

Which is Worst?

Which one is worst? Is it the one who offers the bribe in hopes of getting his way, regardless of what is right?

Is it the one who receives the bribe, knowing that he is going to treat a person or person wrong as a result?

Maybe the worst of all is the one who stands by and observes the bribe and says nothing. Maybe he says nothing out of fear. Perhaps he keeps quiet and benefits from the bribe. I don’t know. There might be dozens of reasons for blinding himself to that which he knows to be wrong.

When I was a young man, still in high school, I was taught about the third world countries where bribery was a way of life. The officer, expected and received the little payment to turn his head. The government official knew he would receive the bribe to allow the immigrant into the country. The teacher explained that, of course those things did not go in this country.

Now, 50 or 60 years later…

As I surveyed the recent history, I came to the conclusion that it is what happens in countries that turn their backs on God. You might ask if I consider it a judgement. To be sure, it would be a righteous judgement. But it is entirely unnecessary. It is simply a natural result. When people turn their backs on God, they do things that result in calamity.

They might call it lobbying, or donations for campaigning. It all has the same result. In but a short while, unless we allow God back in our lives, back in our schools and back in our government, the US will be a used to be. We will join the ranks of third world countries. People will be going south over the Mexican border, not north. No one will want to live in a land that is ruled by the few, the rich, the powerful.

And, invariably, the few, the rich and the powerful will not let go of their hold on this nation.

So. What is your thought? Are you one who bribes? Are you one who accepts the bribes. Or are you one who simply looks away when you see a bribe. Hopefully, you are none of those. Yet, millions of people stood by and watched Biden offer a billion-dollar bribe and still voted for him. Millions stood by and watched what the dems did to our voting system. And still they voted for them.

It looks like they approved of the bribes to me. So don’t be surprised when they count the US as a third world country. Don’t be surprised when money by the wheelbarrow will not buy a loaf of bread.

Don’t be surprised when God turns his back on us as this nation has turned its back on Him.

In the past, the US was an example of a Godly nation. Nowadays. Not so much.
