Maybe Something New

They just voted for an official impeachment inquiry. if it works as it should, witnesses will be called. Documents will be subpoenaed. Depositions, theoretically will be made.

The hitch, if the dems refuse to cooperate, no one will enforce it. No one will go to prison for refusing to cooperate. Old Joe runs the Justice Department. The FBI answers to Justice. If the order goes out to ignore the investigation, it will go nowhere.

If by some miracle, they do start cooperating with the investigation, it will be something new. It will also be a big surprise to many.

Also, if it does go forward, Old Joe’s done. Not only will it all come out in the open, but also the rats will start abandoning the sinking ship, and very rapidly. No one wants to be associated with all that corruption.

Street Sweeper

I have been told by some that, when we get to heaven, we will be given jobs, tasks for us to do.

I don’t really know. It sounds logical. Before retiring, I was a computer operator. Before that, I repaired them. I don’t think my skills as a computer operator will be in much demand there. Certainly not as a repair man for anything. Can’t imagine anything breaking there.

Then my mind turned to lawyers. You know, a place without lawyers, in itself, would make something of a paradise. Regardless, for those lawyers that make it through the golden gates, I can’t imagine anyone there needing the services of a barrister.

There will be no death or illness. No need for doctors, dentist, psychologists. I am especially glad concerning the third. It means I’ll not have spell it.

Then, how’s this for a little irony? No need for evangelists. Everyone there will have been evangelised. Everyone there will have been saved. I have much respect for Billy Graham, and I am sure he is even now enjoying great rewards. But still, I am sure he was assigned a task other than preaching.

That does sort of takes it back to me. I figure I will sweep those streets of gold. My reward will not be great. It’s okay. I will be happy to do it. After a few million years, I wilI have but begun to show my appreciation for what he has done for me.

Still, I do enjoy playing around with computers. I wonder if I will be permitted one just with which to tinker, though it would serve no practical purpose.

The most important thing right now is getting there. Those who don’t accept Jesus Christ as their savior just might be surprised one day that all they did was not enough for God. Some will be surprised that there is a God. Some will be disappointed to find out that they will not be coming back as something else. Then there will be surprised that they will not be issued wings and commissioned into the army of angels.

It is not a good time to find out the truth.

It’s an Imperfect World

On the 6th day God looked at all He made and saw that it was good. Then, apparently not long after, Satan tempted Eve; Eve tempted Adam; Adam sinned, and it all changed. We, all of us have become astranged with God. God has begun working this out at the cross. However, the world is still far from perfect.

Satan is still the prince of the air. He is still going about the earth as a roaring lion, devouring those that he can. Pain, agony, death is still among us. Indeed, even within the best Christian person, evil thoughts linger. With prayer, we have to fight such things off daily, even by the hour.

If not for the grace of God, it would be far worse. If he simply took his hand away, this earth would become far worse, not only for mankind, but also for every living thing.

The liberals speak of man as destoying this planet, by polution, by destroying forests, by ruining the rivers, lakes and seas. In a way, it’s true. In a way, it is even Biblical. Everywhere man goes, he leaves his mark. It is undeniable. And so it will be until Jesus returns.

Ultimately, God will destroy it because of the evil of man. Then, He will build another, without sin, without evil. Best of all, there will be no death and the pain it envokes.

Until that time, sorry. The death and pain and the sorrow will linger. The tears will remain. It is the result of evil.

Ironically, some have suggested that the solution is more evil. Some even suggest we should kill, of all, the most innocent before they breath their first. Some suggest an evil form of government that denys the very presence of the vary one who can save it. Some individuals have claimed they have the answers, while all the time taking every dime you have. For sure, participating in the worst kind of evil.

Many survivorlists think the answer is isolation and preparation. I have news for them. Being human, the pain will follow. There is no running from it. Satan will follow, all the time, nipping at your hills.

I don’t pretend to have all the solutions. I don’t. I do know one thing. Adopting communism won’t work. It denys God. It will turn the bad to disaster. Not only is it historic, it’s prophetic. It is the path that leads to pain, suffering, and, eventually, death.

That Time Approacheth

Every year about this time, tragedy comes near. It is the great pain caused throughout the country known to one and all as football withdrawal. Husbands become irritated, causing wives and children to seek refuge. Some remote controls have been worn out as desperate men seek out the emptiness left after the Super Bowl.

I guess one day a solution will be found for the problem. However, in the mean time, it does cause all sorts of problems.

Well, it does cause problems for TV stations too. They, especially outfits such as ESPN, have all those hours of broadcast time to fill. Naturally, with no programming, there will be no ads. No ads, no revenue. Talk about withdrawal pains….

Incidentall, the gamblers will be dealing with withdrawal too. They will need to find other things to gamble on.

The Reality of the Electric Auto

I used to drive 40 miles each way to and from work. My car can, in truth, be expected to go about 170 miles between charges. Just to be on the safe side, I’d want to keep it down to 150. There was another car that could go a 100 more miles than the one I bought.

So. Either car can make it safely to and from work each day. All the better if you can get the boss to allow you to put the car on an extension cord while you are at work.

Three things figure in, however. First, the weather. The car does not go as far in hot or cold weather. Second, if you get stalled in traffic, you just might have problems, especially with my 200 mile car. You just might consider keeping a generator in the trunk, just in case.

Recharging overnight, even at 120 volts should be enough. At 220 volts, no problem. All I would need is 5 or six hours. Naturally, if you only need to drive 60 miles a day total, no problem at all. You should be able to make it through even the traffic problems.

The real hitch, as it has always been is the long distance trips. With the 300 mile car, I would be able to make across Arkansas before I would need to find somewhere to charge the car. Then, even a level 3 charger would take about 2 hours. Then, after crossing the OK state, it would be time to charge again.

If I had plans of a long trip, I think I would chose to rent a car. Considering that I don’t make such trips very often these days, or take a plane, that problem rarely comes up. Then-again, if you never go over 300 miles to your aunt or grandpa, that should still be alright, if they will let you charge the car at their house before going back home.

I do believe that these problems will get smaller. The emphasis is on E Vs these days and research will make the batteries better and the charging stations more plentiful. I can easily foresee cars able to approach 500 miles between charges and then recharging in an hour or less.

Of course, the real trick is getting the price down. Nowadays, the batteries run the price of a car up about ten thousand dollars. On the positive side, the non battery maintenance is practically nothing. My guess is the electric motor will outlast the car. It is nice not to have to go in for an oil change every 3 or 4 thousand miles, even if were free. Also, the trip to the gas station is replaced by plugging in the car after getting home each evening.

The Patriot Act

It was passed to protect the US from the likes of those that destroyed the Trade Towers. The Unjustice Department has used it to go after every but enemies of the country. This certainly includes Trump, his friends & relatives as well as anyone they consider a threat to their power.

The Patriot Act has made it a time for patriots to fear the system we call the government. I think it was better when the government feared patriots, like Trump.

Widespread Fraud in 2020 election.

It is true. According to a Heartland/Rasmussen poll, there was an admission of over 10 percent of voters committing fraud in voting. Mostly, guess what, by mail-in ballots.

Feel free to look it up. I hope you do. It will be a good thing for you to see it for yourself. Even more, it will be good to have a record of many showing interest in it. Finally, when you tell your relatives and friends, you will be sure that your info is right.

My own woeds, maybe President Trump was totally right about fraud in the election. Regardless, we can clearly see evidence of violation of real laws; the type where people should go to prison. It is the type thar constitute real fraud.

May I also say, it was encouraged by the dems. Whit it might not be illegal, it is wrong.

Overdose?

Many times, I have suggested that Hunter Biden will never see a day in prison. I am sure that he has told Old Joe that if push comes to shove, he knows stuff.

This doesn’t leave Old Joe many ways out. It is starting to look like Hunter is soon on his way to prison. So, near as I can tell, that leaves old Joe two choices, a pardon or a quiet departure of Hunter. Given Hunter’s history with drugs, given the number of overdoses these days, an overdosd would be very believable.

Understand, it’s not what I want. I wish I could stop it. However, I knew Epps was going to die in that federal building. Actually most of us knew the man would never live for trial. We didn’t want it. Most of us would have stopped it. But let’s face it, the man just knew to much about the wrong folks. Men like that, generally find a way of dying.

As with the killing of Kennedy, most everyone knows the government is lying. We also know this side of eternity, very few will know what really happened. Perhaps more importantly why it happened.

Difficult as it is to Believe

Harvard and Yale have their early roots in Christianity. Just goes to show what can happen when you permit Satan to take control little bits at a time.

I suspect many of the universities have Christian origins. You will find little trace of it today. Government influences have seen to it that residuals have been removed, oddly using the 1st amendment. Christian colleges cannot accept federal funds, including for research.

It’s a Puzzlement

The title comes from “The King and I”, though it is not quite a song. Still, Yul Brenner does an outstanding job of it. Sort of makes one think. Well, at least I did consider it over the years.

Maybe they won’t mind me borrowing the title, maybe for just a while. I doubt my post will be nearly as long lasting as the King and I.

The point is this. I drive by restaurants. In Southaven, we have a bunch of them. Moreover they are very much varied. The wife and I generally go out 6 days out of the week and rarely go to the same place twice in one week. Tonight, it was Burger King. Love their fish sandwiches almost as much as the Whopper. Tonight, the wife and I had fish sandwiches. McDonald’s used to be my favorite fish sandwich, but Burger King has them beat by a mile, maybe a mile and a quarter.

Besides, Burger Kings has onion rings so hot you have to cool them a while or burn your tongue on them. The wait was just about 3 minutes. I would have expected 5 so that was a plus.

Nonetheless as I drove home, the traffic was such that I had to go slowly. As I drove past each restaurant, I realized I could tell which ones were good by the number of cars parked in the parking lot. Wendy’s had none. Just before I passed, one car entered the drive through. When we passed I Hop, there were but a few cars. Last time I visited there, I gave up after waiting 30 minutes… and I was the only one there. It was easy for me to leave as they had not yet taken my order. It’s no wonder parking lot had the look of abandonment. That is a real shame. I really liked that place.

On the other hand, even on a Monday, the Chick Fillet was packed. When we go there, we usually park across the little street and walk over. Easier to get in and out.

Well, rather than go through them all, I’ll get to my point, you know, the puzzlement. Why can’t the owners of these places drive by as I did. Perhaps they would be able to see what I saw. What has stopped them from doing the visual evaluation and realize that they are doing something wrong.

As swamped as McDonald’s used to be, it is no longer difficult to find a place to park there anymore. It’s usually a quick walk to the door. My puzzlement is simple and I puzzle just why it is that they don’t understand why they are making less money.

Then again, maybe they don’t care, as long as they can keep the customers going through the drive throughs. However, there are restaurants closing. One was recently replaced by a bank. I found that interesting. They usually had a full parking lot. I guess my method is not totally perfect. Then again, maybe the owner of the restaurant gave up and decided to close down and visit Tahiti. That sort of thing does happen.

Still, it is one more thing to add to the puzzlement.
