As some of you are well aware, I have been working on the weeds in my back yard. They got out of hand when the China virus took hold of me, twice. Now, as I have the finish line in sight, I’m sick again, likely with the same stuff.
Why isn’t that so-called scientists, Fauci, in an orange jump suit and behind high walls? At the least, that cancel culture needs to cancel him.
During the seventies and eighties I did do some flying, not a whole lot, just enough that it got old. One day when I was waiting in a lobby out front of the ticket counter, I glanced over and saw these symbols. The ceilings were very high and the symbols were quite a distance away.
There were 3 of them. On the left, there was depiction of a woman. Below it was a ladies room. On the right was a depiction of a man. Below it was a men’s room. Then, right in the middle there was a question mark. Below it, well it was an information desk.
I can’t help thinking back over it and the implications. I wonder from time to time if they ever changed it. However, in this day and age, it does have new meaning doesn’t it. I mean we are now in a world where we can’t determine a gender. So, maybe in the future, those who don’t know what they are, they can go to the desk below the question mark. Maybe, after a complete exam, they can provide the info they are after. Perhaps, THEY can point them in the right direction.
Then again, besides the woke, who needs an exam at all.
As a short aside, I wonder just why it is that the US is about the only country so dumb that men and women cannot be determined, even by a Supreme Court justice.
They are coming to America, as the song title says. However, the flag they wave is not the Stars and Stripes. Instead, they prefer the flag of the country from which they come.
Repeatedly, the dems point out that we are a nation of immigrants. True, but always before, the immigrants let go of their old flag, and country; and took up their new flag, and new country.
I don’t know when it changed, but there was a time when dual citizenship was not permitted. If anyone knows the benefits of split allegiance, please let me know.
As Jesus said, a man cannot serve two masters. I do believe that goes to nations as well. For when the time comes for decisions, do you decide for the Stars and Stipes or for your former colors. To be sure, the decisions just might confront you each time you enter a voting booth. Are you, for sure going to vote for the good of the US, or will you maintain your ties to your prior country? Just which country will benefit from your vote?
Which flag gets waved? Which flag gets saluted? In my book, a person ought not gain citizenship until they are ready and willing to put down their former colors.
This is greatly amplified in Congress. There is a Constitutional requirement for the president to be a native born American. It is a shame that there isn’t such a requirement for both houses of Congress. This very day we have people in our Congress who wave foreign flags and they are proud to do it.
There’s just some wrong about that. To whom do they owe their allegiance? For whom do they cast their votes?
I saw a pickup today that obviously belonged to a marine as it had a Simper Fi and a few other markings on it. However, the one that really caught my attention was the one “If you haven’t been there, shut your mouth.”
Well, I was a marine too. however, I repaired airplanes. I very likely was never where he was but I still have an idea of what he means. I have been close enough that my garments were partially singed so I do have something of an idea of what he was saying and why.
People all the time like to “play” expert, as if they are smarter than those who have been there. No one, not even me is smart enough to know until they have been there. It is a strange place. It makes cowards out of the brave and it makes heroes out of boys. I have seen both. A man does not know until he’s been there which one he is. When the bullets start flying and the rockets start falling, it is a different world.
First, it is loud. Have you ever shot a weapon? Do you have any idea how loud they are. After a year in Vietnam, I still flinch when I hear a loud noise and that was over fifty years ago. Second, it is a world of death. That men with which you go through training just might end up with a bullet through him. Those bullets are very impersonal. It could have gone through you just as easily and when you’re there you suddenly realize it to a point you never knew before.
It is a world where you, that’s right, you pull a trigger as you look at the man coming at you. Then he falls in front of you none too soon. It is a place you didn’t want to go and you never want to go again. Yet, some men do. It is a scary, bloody place, many times a place of confusion. One minute, your convinced that the enemy is in front of you. Then suddenly, you hear shooting at you from the right or from behind.
When the marines landed at Da Nang, the Viet Cong hid in holes and let the marines by. Then they popped up and fired on the marines from behind them. How would you like to face a surprise such as that. The problem is that every war is different. The methods used in the last war just might not work.
I can’t tell you what it was really like because I’ve never really been there. Maybe I should shut my mouth but for one more thing. I did know what it was like to wake 2, 3 times at night to the horrendous, loud sound of rockets exploding. The only reason I lived through it was because they missed me. Some were not so fortunate. I arrived a little after the Tet offensive. Fortunately, I got all my education from that second hand. That was more than enough for me.
Then I come home and I hear what the experts say about the military, experts who have never been there. They say we should allow women at the front. I am no expert, but I have seen enough of it to say that’s not right. Putting women at the front lines should be a last resort, not SOP. I know it Mr. Expert because I have seen women close to combat situations and I know the problems it creates. When you are in a fight for your life, problems are one thing you don’t need.
The experts say that women are at the front now and just fine. Well, I would argue that point twice over. First, no women have ever been in a real battlefield condition. We have always had to superior forces by far. Secondly, every time they have been close, they have caused problems. The experts don’t want to believe it because they are all wrapped up in their cause of equality for women. “If they aren’t treated equally, they will not have the opportunity to advance in rank.” By the way, my best guess, if there were problems, they were covered over. The experts don’t like to admit failure.
Let me put this on you. When you are at war, the object is to win the war quickly with as few casualties as possible. The concept of equality for women’s rights is the furthest thing from my mind, or at least it should be. The job of an officer is military tactics, not social engineering.
The word I am thinking of when we turn officers and generals into social engineers is DISASTER. And all will know it if we send women into a real shooting war.
I know the experts disagree with me. However, most of the experts have never been there. Until they have been, they need to keep their mouths shut.
John Dalberg-Acton is credited with the above statement. The other day, I was considering it and what the Bible says about the love of money being the root of all evil. (1st Timothy 6:10). As I thought it over, I realized that the love of power certainly has it’s part in it too.
However, there is a difference. Not everyone thirst after power as they do after money. Most of us wouldn’t want the power if it was given to us. I certainly don’t.
On the other hand, there are those who lust after power almost since birth. History is replete with them, mostly bad. Moreover, as the above saying suggest, the more power a person has, the more he wants. It becomes, as has been said by others, something of an opiate.
However, it is also true of groups and organizations. Indeed, some generals have gone insane from it. Those like Nero went absolutely mad with it. There has been more than one fight over throwns because of it. Europe was full of one war after the other during the dark and middle ages. Modern wars have been fought to either maintain or gain power, such as both world wars. The Soviet Union was formed to take power(control) of the world by lying that communism would fix everything.
The western world was not alone in the striving for power. I mean, just why was the Great Wall of China built? By the way, did you ever notice all the ancient cities were built with walls around them. For sure the walls were built frequently before the homes. Why? Because there were those who sought to rule over other cities and other nations.
Now, I ask you, what modern day organization seeks power? I’ll give you a hint. They break the law all the time and claim that others are breaking the law. They promise the moon but provide little or nothing. They break the election laws and claim their opponents do.
They take away our freedoms, (the Bill of Rights) while claiming others are trying to take away our democracy. They lie while claiming everyone else is lying. They promise life but kill by the millions.
Now let’s see, it is the dems that fraught for slavery. It was the dems that tried to keep the Black race from voting. It is the dems that tried to keep the Black people from learning to read. Now they have the nerve to try to claim the Republicans did it.
It is the dems that will not let people pray in school. It is the dems that try to make everyone pay for the killing of Black babies. (abortion) And it is the dems that are trying to keep people from having their say in colleges.
Sounds to me like those dems are maybe just a bit power hungry. Sounds to me that those dems have been corrupted by that power.
Put me in a crowd and I will head for a corner.
Actually, when I saw the prompt, I had a little laugh. People rarely are interested in anything I want to say. Moreover, much of what I hear in a crowd, I wish I had a way to unhear. (Or un see) Many crowds have folks who are drinking, and I don’t mean tea. I don’t like being around others who are drinking, even one on one.
Very few have any interest in discussing electronics, computers, Christianity or politics. Might I remind that we are cautioned about taking about religion and politics. It somewhat limits my conversation.
As usual, I could talk about the weather. As Mark Twain, said, “Everyone talks about the weather, but no one does anything about it.”
I guess old Samuel Clemens never felt out of place. He seemed to always have something to say. I sure wish I had his gift of gab. It sure would be nice to have folks listen to me when explaining the plan of salvation. It would be nice if I could command the attention of thousands when I warn against the fallacies of communism.
Well, little as it is, I do what I can, even though I can’t draw a crowd.
For what reason would we even want to go back to the typewriter age. Computers have become very important tools for almost all of us. Of course there are some, such as the Memphis Light, Gas and Water Company that still haven’t gotten the knack of it yet.
Still, I hate the idea of pounding out a post on an old typewriter. Moreover, even when done, without the computer, there is no way to publish it.
I don’t like the typewriter age much more than the bronze age. Running water is so much nicer than having to go out to the well and haul the stuff in by bucket. I don’t know but maybe the going green folks would like it. I mean, computers do use a lot more electricity than the old manual typewriters. AND, with the phones we have nowadays, we all use a lot of electricity just to talk to each other, or to play games.
The dems know better than to promote Old Joe as a candidate. All they want to say is that if Trump wins, it will be the end of the world. You better vote fro Old Joe, or look just who will “rule.”
Okay. Maybe I am exaggerating, a little. Certainly, I am not stretching it much. They claim that he will end democracy. Actually, when you come right down to it, it is exactly what the dems are trying to do. They walk all over the Constitution and the Bill of Rights in an attempt to destroy the very document that provides them the freedom to do it.
My guess is, that if the dems win one more presidential election, then the Constitution will be history within a year, though not outwardly. The dems will claim that it is still active, just in a different form. The Bill of Rights will still be present, just with modifications. After all, as they claim, the Constitutions is a living document, which must be altered from time to time for modern times.
Under the new constitution, you will have freedom of religion as long as preachers don’t speak against homosexuality or abortion from the pulpit. You will have the right to speak your mind, as long as you don’t anger the woke folks. You will be able to own and carry a weapon, as long as you never shoot it, even in self-defense. Well, some will be permitted to shoot weapons, as long as they have a D after their name.
You will have the right to remain silent, but if you do, you will be assumed guilty. You will have your right against unlawful seizures, unless you are a Republican trying to win an election against the likes of a Clinton or Joe. In that case, it will be quite easy to get a warrant to tap phones, offices and, yes, even bedrooms. All your papers, computers and cell phones will be subject to being searched and seized.
The FBI will be instructed to release anyone unless he is a member of the opposition. No law enforcement officer will be permitted to pursue any driver, unless he has a second amendment bumper sticker.
Eventually, maybe soon after the election, all radio stations and TV broadcasters that are considered subversive to the “cause” will be forced to cease their broadcasting. People like me, who, in our own little way, try to spread the truth, will be threatened once. Then we will be tossed in prison, for whatever reason they want to invent. If we anger them enough, we will be taken out and shot, by folks who are dead set against the death penalty.
Then, of course, there will soon be no republic, no democracy, no freedom. The history of this country will fade away and the communist will see to it that everyone forgets it.
THEN WHERE WILL FOLKS GO TO BE FREE?
It won’t be the end of the world. However, for many of us who fought for freedom, it may as well be.
Might be wrong but I don’t think so. I figure in just a matter of days, Old Joe is going to develop a problem, one that will keep him from running. It clearly appears to me that even the dems are starting to realize he’s not going to make it through election. He might not even make it to the election.
It does bring to mind a number of things that the dems would not like to see. One of many things could occur that just might spell disaster to the power structure.
First, President Trump just might beat all the accusations. As I mentioned before, the dems would have some explaining to do.
Second, Hunter just might get locked up. That would mean he will start singing like a canary. Not only would Joe go to prison but the entire family.
Third, a financial problem. This would be either a recession or another shot of inflation. This could be triggered by bank problems or maybe a big industry like the auto manufacturing. If the cars cost too much, people won’t buy them, not from Detroit anyway.
Forth, a tragic event caused by some terrorist(s) being allowed over the border. It could be multi-city.
Fifth, too many illegal immigrants in too many dem run cities. Already, NY, NY is on the brink of failure according to the mayor himself and people have already begun leaving. Those U-Hauls going in are empty. It’s the one leaving that are packed.
Finally, the folks just might get tired of an open border and lack of law enforcement.
It is not my desire that any of this should happen but I can read t-leaves. The worst part is that it will likely happen fast. It might also trigger other things. Putting that puppet known as Old Joe in front of the cameras to try to settle things won’t work. It will just make matters worse.
It is easy to see, there is already some panic showing in the dem leadership. If something breaks, no one will want to have nothing to do with anything.
Even if there are no problems, it is easy to see there are already problems and the dems are already seeking plans and methods.
Old Joe fights to maintain his leadership in his party and loses the election to Trump. First day Trump is in office, the price of oil is cut by 25%. In the next week it goes down to $40 a barrel. Russia and Putin go into a tailspin and inside a month they are broke and can’t fight any kind of war. They won’t be able to give their oil or natural gas to anyone.
All those folks in Afghanistan that Trump knows who they are and where they are, decide it is time to head for the hills and Afghanistan become a free country again.
China is afraid that the cost of trade with the US will go up so they start getting more reasonable about Taiwan. Who knows? They might even let go of their hold on Hong Kong.
The folks in Iran are afraid of being picked apart by drone strikes so they agree to give up their effort to build atomic weapons. After a few more months, the money going from Iran into terrorists groups starts drying up so they stop sending rockets into Israel.
All those folks heading the no-justice department are afraid so they start for parts unknown. Possibly, they might join that commie friend of theirs north of the border and find their refuge there. Some might go to Russia or China and find out what it really means to live in country where freedom is no more than a word.
I would hope that Trump would hold some serious housekeeping and fire anyone he can in the leadership of the FBI, CIA, IRS and Justice department. On day two, he can start arranging the return transportation for all illegal aliens. He can tell them that they would be far better off if they go back willingly.
Okay. I know. It is wishful thinking. First he has to get elected. In a country that holds elections like that last one he was in, that is going to be difficult. I mean, when the laws and rules of elections are ignored, it will be a uphill battle all the way. This is especially true when the media is on going to be all out for Joe.
I don’t hold out much hope. However, I think this just might be the last chance for the republic. If Old Joe wins; if the dems win, I’m afraid there will be little left of the constitutional government that so many gave their lives for over the years and over the decades.
Unfortunately, it might also be an end to peace in the Middle East as well. Israel just might have to start fighting for her survival. I don’t have any idea what that will lead to. I sort of hope I won’t be here to see it.
