A Much Better Compromise

I understand the Minority Leader’s concern for buckling here. There was an awful lot of pressure on those two senators. However, he should not have completely given in here. He should have made it contingent on restoring the border to the way it was under Trump. He should have required the walls to be completed. That would have accomplished something, maybe. It actually would have saved lives. Moreover, it would have exposed Biden’s open borders.

Wait a minute. I don’t think that McConnell would have liked that. If my memory serves me, he was not so much in favor of the wall. There were a few republicans who didn’t like the idea of cutting off the cheap labor.

I guess he could have used the alternative. He could have insisted on continuing the pipelines, drilling and fracking, including New York. This would have helped a lot. It would have helped to bring down the price of oil. It would have put people back to work and it would have made the US energy independent again.

Then again, the FOCs might not like that. They like us dependent on others, especially Russia and China. They might have preferred to let us default. Either that, or the dems would have done the increase in debt by themselves.

At least that would have exposed the FOCs for what they are, a bunch of power hungry characters that would prefer to allow death than to permit energy independence.

Golf Carts and Interstates?

When Biden spoke about the poor progress on the statement today declaring 149 thousand jobs created, he said it was progress.

Well, for that matter we could make progress with golf carts on the interstates too. However, it was supposed to be half a million jobs. That would be more like real cars on real freeways.

I guess it doesn’t take much to impress Biden as far as progress. I guess he’d likely also be impressed with the speed of a go-cart with a 5 hp engine. Well, they are faster than a pedal car and they don’t require manual labor to operate. We can say that for the likes of such transport.

(It’s not a lie. I think they call it spin, which is deception, more than a top.)

About Lt. Col. Scheller

Some might wonder why I have held off in having a say about Scheller. To tell you the truth, I have had some difficulty with it. What he said, of course is the truth. However, when you take an oath in the military, you give up some of your rights. One of these is the right to criticize your superior officers. When you join the service, you live under another set of laws, called the Uniform Code of Military Justice (U.C.M.J.)

When he spoke the truth, he was guilty of disobeying this code, which I am sure he knew. As such, it does speak to Scheller’s courage. He very likely knew he was going to get in trouble, though he was probably unaware as to the extent. To be sure, he not only disobeyed the law but he stuck his finger in a hornets nest. Dems do not like their faults exposed, especially those who wear starts on their collars.

Though I was in the Marines, I would hardly call myself an expert on the U. C. M. J. Still, the first word in the title is “Uniform.” That is to say, it should apply just as much to the Lt. Col. as to the four star general. It would seem that what the general did was far worse, but he will never suffer for what he did. You see, you get to break the law when you have a D after your name. Moreover, you get to break the law when you do things that aid and abet the FOCs.

That means the U. C. M. J. is not uniform. It is biased. If the general got off without so much as a slap of the hand, then nothing should have happened to the Lt. Col. If the Lt. Col. faces a general court martial then so should the general.

Then again, as we all know, with Biden in the White House, why should we be surprised?

Blatant Lies

As a person, I actually like Jen Psaki. The problem is that she has a problem with the truth. She was asked why the people coming across the border do not need a vaccine shot was because they were only going to be here a while.

This falls into the category of a blatant lie. Indeed it is what I call a two way lie. First, it makes no difference how long they are here. If they are north of the border for five minutes, they can spread the virus… among the other illegal aliens if nothing else. Secondly, they will, in all probability stay north of the border and she knows it. The man she represents has made sure of it. She is insulting our intelligence by saying anything else.

It is not a lie as the result of knowledge. She knows it. We know it. And she knows that we know it. That is why it is blatant by definition. She is not even trying to deceive us. Deceit requires an element of truth.

I guess you can’t blame the poor woman. Look who she is representing. Still, it might be a good idea for her to start looking for a new job. I don’t think the one she has will last all that much longer. Moreover, not many will want to hire a woman who is known for telling blatant lies.

Big Brother & Waste

I was listening to an interview of Robbie Starbuck who is running for 5th district in Tenn and he brought out some points that bear repeating. I won’t repeat his words but I will rather barrow his thoughts

First he came up with a suggestion. The FOCs want to be able to look into our bank transactions. No problem… if they let us look into theirs. In return for passing the law, the law should require them to post all their bank transactions over $600 on a web site the following day.

Incidentally, most do not realize, that $600 dollars as a percentage of income will decrease with inflation for both the FOCs and for us. Today, what we pay $500 dollars for, will soon be $600. Hence, as the years go by, the snooping factor will increase. I am sure they were well aware of that when they came up with the idea.

The other thought he had reminded me of was a store that provided unsold produce to charities at no charge. It went on for a while until one day someone got sick. He sued the store and won the suit. Therefore, the produce that had been going to the charities is now going into landfills. ( I call that wasteful)

It is the nature of the FOCs. Whatever they touch produces waste. The bigger the national budget, the greater the waste. Whereas it is true that the FOCs did not directly cause the waste as above, they are really good friends with the trial lawyers. I am sure some trial lawyer made a bundle on the above.

There is no telling how much food is wasted every year because the Friends of the Criminals. The stores don’t dare donate food being as the lawyers wait as ravenous wolves waiting to pounce. The example that Mr. Starbuck pointed involved a bakery where they tossed the unsold doughnuts daily. None of them went to homeless shelters.

Speaking of which, I wonder just how much the federal government wastes. $600 would not even be noticed. Actually, the FOCs likely skim $600,000 in one month. Some of it goes here. Some of it goes there. Nobody seems to notice. No one seems to care.

By the way, has anyone noticed that Biden’s son is still working for China. It’s true. Seems to me to be a good reason for impeachment. It’s not going to happen though. Biden has a D after his name.

On the other hand, you will not find many capitalists wasting things, for obvious reasons. It is another good reason to promote capitalism.

As a side note, I vote that all people who hold public office should have to work in a restaurant for 6 months. There they will get an education far more effective than any college. They will learn such things as work ethics, profit margins and plain hard work.

For those who would like something to read, check my “about” page. I have a list there of 35 books I’ve written… all fiction.

The Cost

Biden and his FOCs would have us believe that his 3.5 trillion dollar bill will be free. He says it will be paid for by the increase in taxes for the rich.

Let’s take just a little closer look at it.

First, we will pay with higher prices at the store: the rich will want their profit. Second, we will pay for it in higher utilities. Third, we will pay for it any time we buy a car: automobiles are made by rich people who want to make money. Fourth, we will pay for it in taxes. Income taxes are not the only taxes, you know.

Finally, we will pay for it in interest rates. The rich will not pay 3.5 trillion in taxes. They might pay two trillion. However, you can bet that even now the rich have lawyers figuring ways around paying the taxes. Hence, it will leave a big debt which the middle class will pay for… again.

Oh, by the way, you can also be sure that the rich have their bribers (AKA lobbyists) at work telling the congress what loopholes they want in the law. I assure you, the rich will not pay for it. The middle class will… in one way or the other.

The truth is that they want the bill for two reasons. It will provide income for their special constituents and it will provide power for them. Also, rule number one about finance, any time someone buys something, someone has to pay. If you get something free, someone has paid for it.

Keep Your Eye on the Ball!

When I first started playing baseball, I was told, to keep my eye on the ball. It is sound guidance for the beginner, the novice and the pro. Generally, when the fielder misses the ball, it is because he took his eye off the ball, anticipating what he will do next. My coach always told me, “First, catch the ball. Then throw it.

The same is true at batting. The batter should actually see the ball hit the bat. It greatly increases the chance of hitting it. If he is looking at that left field fence, he will likely never make contact with the ball… or he will foul it off.

Same thing in football. Don’t look at the defender as you catch the ball. Granted, it is difficult to remember when he is about to hit you just as hard as he can. The fact is, he is going to hit you weather or not if you catch the ball. So you may as well concentrate on catching it.

Even the kickers must learn to keep their eye on the ball, this in spite of knowing exactly where it is. I never played regular golf, but I am told it it important to keep your eye on the ball there too. However, I did find it to be a good idea even in miniature golf when all I did was putt the ball. It is a little bit trickier when you must time the swing with those windmill blades in the way.

What’s my point? Did you ever notice those FOCs like to distract us. When we see people flowing over the border, they start talking about something else. When we see what a disaster Biden had in Afghanistan, have you noticed, neither he nor the media has said a thing about it in weeks. They don’t want you to think about those who are still stranded and likely to remain so.

The problem is that in politics, it is difficult to keep your eye on the ball, especially with Biden. He has been juggling so many of them.

Terminology

The FOC folks don’t like us referring to illegal aliens as illegal aliens. Sorry FOC types. That is what they are. It is the way they are defined by law.

Before they step across the border, they are aliens. The instant they cross the border they are illegal aliens. Moreover, they have broken the law. By law they are subject to incarceration. In truth, they should be. In truth, they should then be returned to their own country immediately. That is the way the law says it. As usual, the FOCs only enforce the laws they want to enforce. That is what makes them Friends Of Criminals. In the truest since, the FOCs are criminals too. After all, they are aiding and abetting criminals, and not just illegal aliens. Sometimes they aid and abet legal aliens in breaking the law by encouraging to vote. Then again, they also aid citizens breaking the law as in looting, arson and assault. It is sort of what they do in their effort for power.

By the way, why isn’t Fauci in prison. He has millions of murders to his credit.

DISGRACE!

Those that have read some of my other posts realize I was in the Marines. Before my honorable discharge, I attained the rank of staff sergeant, also known as E6. I was in the corps for about nine years. I assure you that if someone approached me and told me they wanted to interview me concerning a book or magazine, I would have told them no. Then I would have told my officer in charge.

You see, I knew better than to do something like that. If I had, it would have brought disgrace to me, to my uniform and to the Marines. Such things are permitted, but only under special conditions and only with the approval of the Marine Corps.

Now, I wonder just why it was that a 4 star general wasn’t able to figure that out. Surely, during his enlistment somewhere, someone told him it was wrong. Then again, maybe 4 star generals can get away with it. I know of one that did.
