WHAT’S THE QUESTION??

After the recent Virginia election, I heard an exit poll that reported the number one concern of the voters was economy. In another exit poll, I heard the big concern was how the China virus was handled. I guess if you check with five different polling outfits, you might get two, maybe three different answers.

My question is what was the question? Did they hand the voter a piece of paper with a list and tell the voter to select the most important. On the other hand, did they just ask, what was your most important concern. To me, this is important.

First, if you know a little about me, you know I don’t like surveys and I guess a poll is something of a survey. The problem with all surveys is that those conducting the survey generally have a horse in the race. So, they like to ask the questions in ways in which the replies might be a little skewed. Moreover, they like to include questions to which there are no proper answers. The one that really put a sour taste in my mouth a few years ago was the question, are you or are you not in favor of immigration? To me there is no proper answer. Obviously, the pollster was trying to create a poll that would show that most people are in favor of immigration while the truth is that most likely the majority believe as I do. I believe in legal and only legal immigration.

So my question to the pollsters is, did your question color your response? To me, the best question would be what was your most important concern? Even a list can color a response, especially if the person’s choice is not present. If the pollsters do use a list, at least they need to include a, “None of the above.”

And so it is that we are led to believe that school issues were of little import in the Virginia election. Is that really true, or is it that the pollsters got it wrong again? Did they ask the right questions in the right way?

By the way, for those interested, I do not answer surveys anymore at all. If someone were to ask me a question as I leave a voting place, I will lie through my teeth and give them all wrong answers. The only real vote that counts is the one I put in the voting box.

Comments on Recent Elections

It would appear to me that the dems would learn their lesson concerning CRT, mandatory vacs and mandatory masks. Certainly, intelligent people would see the error of their ways and reconsider their goals. Not the dems. Not an intelligent bone in the bunch of them. Instead, they only push on faster, harder. As near as I can tell, they want utter destruction of the US before the 2022 elections, at which time the conservatives will attempt to turn things around right. The problem is that either Biden or Kamala will still be in The White House. Well, at least we might be able to slow them down. We might even be able to bring them to stop until 2024.

One odd thing I have noticed, the mainstream media must have seen the car crash coming and they didn’t say a thing. Indeed they only offered encouragement. Now they have become a party to the event and they will not be believed again for many decades.

When I was a kid, we had a saying, “Everything you say about me bounces off me and sticks to you.” It was childish but it did serve its purpose at the time. Yet, it would seem that the media is accusing the republicans of everything the dems do. I mean, CRT is racist and is the absolute opposite of Martin Luther King’s teaching. And, weather they admit it or not, the dems teach it or something like it in every school they control.

Moreover, it is the dems that stand in the way of allowing the African-American kids to go the best schools, allowing only the elite FOCs to go to the better schools. I would say it is like the pot calling the kettle black, but it is neither accurate nor appropriate. The old saying assumes that the pot is as bad as the kettle, whereas, in this case, the dems are far worse than the republicans. Not only do they not offer a better education, they stand in the way of permitting the republicans to provide a better education. For obvious reasons, that is worse than racism. It hampers the kids from learning and it incites anger and racism. It is exactly the way communist work. First, they destroy by causing division. They create hate and discontent to the point of destroying a country. Then they build it back the way they want. It is exactly the way they did it in Cuba and Venezuela.

Now look. If things continue to go they way they are, the dems will control a much larger version of Venezuela. You think we have supply problems now. A few decades with the dems in control will teach you just how bad things can be. By the way, most of us will not need to worry about the cost of new cars. There won’t be any, unless you are one of the elite. A car wouldn’t be much good to you, anyway. You won’t be able to buy fuel or electricity for it.

CRT. The New Political Weapon to Use Against FOCs

CRT, regardless of the name you give it, is the the teaching of racism.

Dems are in favor of teaching CRT (Critical Race Theory)

Therefore, dems, which I also call Friends Of Criminals, are in favor of teaching racism.

Hence, FOCs are in favor of racism.

When a conservative republican uses this weapon, he stands a greater chance of winning; he exposes CRT for what it is; and he encourages everyone to back away from the evil teaching of CRT as well other such subjects.

By the way, it will help expose the dems for what they are, heartless power hungry, criminal lovers.

Incidentally, why isn’t Fauci in prison, if nothing else, for the way he treats beagles?

It’s Just Not the Same

Many people like like to point out the migration that took place on Ellis Island and try to equivocate it the avalanche of those coming across the Mexican border. Even as they speak, they know it’s not nearly the same, that is unless they have less of a brain than a nail on the wall.

For those unable to figure out the difference, let me explain it.

First, no one who was sick was permitted into the country. Indeed the hospital where they were kept still stands and, though I might be wrong, it can still be toured. It was where the diseased were kept until well. Those who were not curable went back to where they came from. Had AIDS been a disease back then, no one would have been permitted in with it. However, today it is a political disease and people with AIDS are permitted in regularly, which likely resulted in the loss of many lives. Because there is no desire to do any tracing, there is no way to tell how many. There is no way to make a reasonable guess.

Secondly, it was highly organized. All who tried to enter were interviewed and if they were considered undesirable. they were returned to their country. Certainly, those who had a desire to overthrow the country were not permitted in. Those who had no money or a desired trade were turned away. It was not intended that we should be the welfare state of the world. Finally, those who were criminals were returned to their own country. To be sure, we were not perfect in this regard. Apparently, many criminals did make it through. However, they also turned many away. On the Mexican border, none are turned away.

Third, there were limits, quotas for each country. The obvious attempt was to keep any one nation from overwhelming our civilization. Even though most did separate themselves somewhat into groups, they eventually did assimilate. Until recently, we spoke one language in the schools businesses and our government. Now, when school meetings are held, it is not uncommon for them to be held in three languages. Worse, children are in our schools who don’t know the how to speak English, let alone read and write. They are not the only ones affected. All the learning is hampered.

And, by the way, it makes it more expensive too. Many who of those slowing the learning should not be in the classroom. They are there illegally. If ten illegal children are in a class, that means two-thirds are paying to educate three-thirds. That is not right.

Fourth, many who come over the border are criminals. It causes the crime rates to go up and it increases the cost of enforcing the law. Many communities that were reasonably peaceful now have a meaningful population of criminals who are not Americans.

Fifth, back in the day, cartels did not control our borders. Nowadays, they do control the Mexican borders. The US would be completely right to send in troops and wipe out the cartels. The US is under their attack. However, no one, but not one will do that, though they fire across the river nightly.

If things were now as they were then, I would not mind the immigration. Somehow, I don’t think there are many who will pay me any attention. They are afraid of someone saying something in the social media, which would force them out into the Outer Limits.

So instead, they watch as our nation falls into oblivion.

OH YES! ONE MORE THING. BACK THEN WE DID NOT HAVE THE FLOOD OF DEADLY DRUGS OVER THE BORDERS.

BUILD THE WALL!!

Canyons and Debts

I’m not exactly sure of the year. Might have been 1984, the year the Olympics were in L. A. I have relatives in California and I went out to visit them. It was convenient that it was the year of the Olympics because McDonald’s provided prizes for medals the US won. Because the Soviets were boycotting the Olympics, (Likely just because we boycotted the Olympics the prior time) the US meddled in far more sports. Hence, McDonald’s payed for about a fourth of our food.

Considering that there were four us us, two of which were young teens, that was a big help. Every time we stopped for a meal, we had scratch-offs from our precious meal. That isn’t to say we always ate at McDonald’s, but as I said, they did help a lot.

When we reached Flagstaff, we spent the night. Then, seven in the a.m., we headed north to the Grand Canyon. Considering we were passing nearby, why not? We might not get another chance.

After zig-zaging a while and climbing, we found ourselves on a large flat plateau. Every now and then, we saw signs, “Land for sale, $1,000 an acre.” I actually considered buying a couple of few acres. I was hardly rich but I could have afforded a few thousand.

I wondered why they were almost giving the land away. As luck would have it, a short time before we reached the Grand Canyon, there was a McDonald’s. We decided to stop and turn in a few of our scratch-offs there. Then, as we entered, we saw the explanation for the cheap land. The sign said, “Because we have to haul all our water here, we must charge a little more for some of the items on the menu.”

So there it was. The place was right next to the Colorado River. Yet, it is one of the driest places in the US. Go figure. Still, over the years, I have considered, if I were wealthy, I might buy a few acres there. I don’t guess I’d need to concern myself with the neighbors much. I mean, while I was there, the only folks I saw were mostly on the road. They were either on the way to or from the Grand Canyon.

It wasn’t a long way out of the way, but it did take a while to get there. Then, when we arrived, the wife and kids were busy watching the squirrels. Never figured on that. Here we were at one of the biggest canyons in the US and they were fascinated with squirrels.

I mean, we have squirrels at home, a lot of them. Well, I must admit, they were fearlessly running up and down the wall of the canyon. I mean, I didn’t want to get so close to it, and the baby squirrels were right at home on the edge of the cliff.

We moved on to another lookout point where we could oversee a plateau that was about half way to the actual bottom of the canyon. After looking for a while, the person next to me said, “Hey! there are people down there.”

I looked down there, and then at the person who spoke. “Where,” I asked? “I don’t see any.”

In a short time, he pointed them out. If they had not been moving, I’d still not have seen them. It does give a person a little perspective of just how deep that canyon is. I mean, the numbers simply do not do it any justice. Those folks were only half way down and I didn’t see them.

Later, I found out that people are allowed to walk down there. However, before they do, they must register and go through an orientation. In it, they warn the would be hikers, it is sort of like climbing a mountain in reverse. Once you go down into the canyon, it is far more difficult climbing back up. Therefore, be careful about exceeding your abilities.

As I think back over it, I realize it is much like debt. It is easy to climb down into it. Working your way back out… not so much.

Those senators and representatives don’t seem to have figured that out.

Another Reason to Leave New York

Just heard over the news that that they will fine you $50 for riding the subway without a mask.

Sounds like just another reason to stay away from New York.

Sounds like another good reason to leave New York.

Actually, you already have a few very good reasons. So why do you need another?

Just please… if you go to a red state, leave your liberal ideas in New York. We don’t need them. They destroyed the great state of New York and California. If you do live in New York and you insist on bringing your destructive ideas with you, please go to one of those states on the Pacific coast or Illinois. I would guess those in Ohio don’t want such ideas either. They already have more than their share of folks that don’t know how things work.

Percy Shaw

There are not likely too many who know the name but he provided a very important little invention in 1934. Have ever notice those little reflectors on the highway? Well, we can thank Percy for them.

To be sure, over the years they have undergone many changes. Today if we see white reflectors, we can be pretty sure that we are going the right way. If we are going the wrong way, the reflectors are red. Come to think of it, there are likely not many that know that. I didn’t know it until one day I was riding at night and saw the reflectors were red. With no oncoming traffic, it took me about two seconds to realize I was going the wrong way. I simply thought I was in the center lane.

A short time later, I did see some oncoming traffic and I sure was glad I figured things out.

There are orange reflectors too. Normally they indicate the center line. However they are used for other things too. Blue reflectors indicate a fire hydrant. It makes it easier for the firemen to find them. Occasionally, green markings are used too.

The nice thing is that they can easily be seen in the dark, in the rain and generally in the fog. Before their general use I noticed that when it rained, the white lines had a tendency to disappear. The light from my headlights reflected off the lines and continued away from me. With the reflectors, the light is bounced back to me. This is especially nice because the reflectors do not need any electricity or wiring. They use the light from our headlights.

I cannot imagine what their cost is, though it can’t be much. Somewhere, some factory must be turning them out by the thousands, if not millions. Whatever the cost, it is likely well worth it. I am convinced they save lives every day.

The little reflectors are used all over the world. I would suspect that they are even used in China and Russia, though they both likely claim they invented them. I really don’t believe they were invented in any communist country. The invention was made for profit. In communism, there is no profit. Percy was likely a capitalists. Though he knew his invention would be good, his primary goal was to make a pound or two from them. (He was English) It is called capitalism and without it, the little reflectors would have not been invented for years, maybe never.

Remembering

You Forgot to Remember

Some of you might not yet know that I have an interest in old songs.  Something happened that reminded me of an old song.  I had almost forgotten it, oddly, because the main line in the song is:

You promised to forget me not, but you forgot to remember.

The song was very popular and I have no idea who first recorded it.  Both Frank Sinatra and Dinah Shore had recordings and likely half a dozen more had successful recordings.

Its words do suggest a twist, so to speak.  Nonetheless, it has happened to me a few times.  I have promised to do something, only to forget to remember.  Then too, how about all the friends I used to know who have become faint memories.

Sometimes, I think about looking them up, but I can’t remember their last names.  I only called them by their first names.  Besides, at 72, I don’t remember so well and I had a bad memory for names in the first place.

I thought over the song and figured we have many reasons why we forget things.

First, memories fade.  To some degree, this is a good thing.  Many bad things happen to us and the memory fading does help us cope with them in the end.  Though, it does not always work that way.  My mother died when I was five and I remember every detail as if it were yesterday.  Oddly, it does cause me more grief today than then.  I won’t try to figure it out, other than it is something of a comfort to me too.

Second, memories that are handed down from one generation to the next are rarely incompletely passed along.  In the case of Israel, one generation would learn to obey the God.  Then the next generation would forget him and practice the exact things God told them not to.

Today, nations build statues and memorials.  Whenever I see a statue of someone, it reminds me of what the person did and just why I should remember him.  We also have memorials for WWII and Vietnam War.  Some of us remember.  Some don’t.  Some would prefer to forget the Vietnam War.  They consider it a dark part of our history.

Then again, I got to thinking of the Trade Towers.  It has been but 20 years and already people are forgetting.  They forget the way people jumped, knowing it was a choice of dying by fire or by the fall.  Most preferred the fall.  Each time a person hit the ground it made a distinct thud.

It is as I said, the memories do fade.  Then too it has been a generation.  The history teachers likely spend no more than a day or two about it.  The younger people don’t realize the full scale of what happened and the whys and wherefores.

Even for those who see the memorial, it does not set in the mind the way the actual experience does.  For those who don’t see the memorial, it is even easier to forget.

On the day of the event and for many days after, many promised to forget it not.  The problem is that they forgot to remember.

A few days ago we pulled out of Afghanistan.  Very few even know why we went in there.  Regardless, it was long ago.  Why should we be bothered with it today?

Let me tell you a little story and it just might suggest why we should remember.

In 1968 I graduated boot camp at MCRD San Diego.  Eventually, I was given orders to go to NAS Memphis.  On arrival at LAX, I checked my baggage and went straight back to the gate.  No one asked me for a ticket.  No one cared.  If I had wanted I could have gone to the gate without any need to travel.

You can’t do that today.  You have to show your boarding pass and ID to get to the gate, and by the way, you must also submit to a complete search.

Some say we have stopped terrorism, but we haven’t.  They have succeeded at their goal.  They have disrupted our way of living.  They have all but destroyed our way of life.

So now, my family cannot see me off or meet me at the gate and I can’t take my fingernail clippers along with me.

We need to remember.  We must not forget to remember.  If nothing else, maybe that extra line at the airport will help remind us each time we take a plane.

If I Were a Racist

If I were a racist there are a number of things I would do or not do.

For instance, I would do all I could to make sure that 3 out of 4 black babies were killed before they are born.

Oh!. Let’s see. The dems do that. It is called Planned Parenthood and 86% of their locations are in Black neighborhoods. Moreover three out of four of their abortions are performed on Black women. Moreover, no one dare try to talk any woman, black or white out of and abortion or they will have the law you before you can spell Oliver Wendel Holmes. Just FYI: Planned Parenthood was started by a racist, Margaret Sanger, who had hopes of eliminating the Black race in the US as well as a few other countries. Apparently, her dreams fit right in with the FOC.

For instance, if I were a racist, I would see to it that the Black children did not learn how to read and write.

There is nothing better at controlling a people than keeping them illiterate. The dems love to keep Black kids illiterate. The thought of letting them into private schools causes their blood to boil. If you don’t believe me, just mention school choice around someone in the National Education Association. They will blister your ears with reasons to keep kids out of private schools…especially the ones they have their children in.

For instance, if I were racist, I would want to keep Black people in the downtown area, the slums, the projects.

Now let’s see. President Trump did more to help the Black wager earner than any of the dem presidents. For this he was called racist by the dems. Moreover, he did more to help their education and decrease the crime… everywhere. Guess who that helps… the black neighborhoods, the slums and the projects.

For instance If I were a racist, I would encourage riots in urban areas, where many Black people live. This would help my effort in two ways. First, it would drive businesses out of the areas, many of which are owned by Black people. Second, it would make it far more difficult for those unable to leave the area. It also makes it difficult for the kids remaining to get good jobs.

Now let’s see. Do I really need to expand on this. Have we not all seen what has happened in the FOC run cities? Have we not seen the riots and fires? Does anyone realize what this does to real estate values. Think about it, really. The urban values go down and the suburban values go up. Let’s face it, everyone likes to have their home in a safe area. So the businesses shut down and those who can afford it move out of town to places the FOCs don’t control.

For instance, if I were a racist, I would want my schools to teach racism in schools, as the FOCs do.

So if you really think about it, while the FOCs are so quick to yell racist, they really ought to look in the mirror. It is also a pretty good indicator. If someone calls me a racist, it means they have nothing bad to say about me. They are simply using the attack of last resort. Anyone can call anyone a racist… this without an ounce of proof.

For you I have presented proof. The FOCs are the real racist. Truth be told, we all know it. Just is most are afraid to say it.

Incompetence? Motive? Both?

As I think over Biden’s recent decisions, certain facts have come to mind. While he does appear to be incompetent, I am beginning to wonder if there might be a motive involved, that is, beyond the standard democrat ones.

Let us face it. Virtually all his decisions benefit the Chinese. Could it be that the Chinese are the great puppet masters? To be sure, they paid untold millions to Biden’s son, and hence to Biden. Not only that, apparently, they took part in the rigging of the election. To be sure, they were the ones who communicated with the voting machines.

It is obvious that Biden owes the Chi-coms big time. That would mean that Biden is a traitor: perhaps by intention, perhaps by blackmail. So, is Biden incompetent or a turncoat. It is difficult for me to determine for certain. Then again, he might be hiding his lack of loyalty behind his incompetence. Or maybe the Chinese are concealing their control behind his incompetence.

Regardless, it is a question that should never need to be asked. It is a matter which only comes to mind because of his cozy dealings with the Chinese and the utter disastrous decisions he is making.

Either way, he boldly feels he is safe in whatever he does. He always has the media to protect him. Hence, the media must take responsibility for his huge foul-ups. They helped put him in office and they provide cover for him every day that he holds office. This prompts the question, is the media in league with the Chi-coms?

The founders gave freedom to the press to protect us from the government. Now who protects us from the media. The founders never contemplated such all out sedition by the media.
