According to Joe and his defenders, Joe did not cause our current historic inflation. He uses the defense that it is worldwide. Being as he is not president of the world, he cannot have caused it.

It’s only another proof of their blindness, stupidity or power hunger (you choose which). All prices are tied to oil. Joe and those who put him in power have done what they can to push the price oil historically high. They should not be surprised at their results. It was as planned. They drove the price of gas up from $2 a gallon to $4 and were privately proud of it. They should have expected it.

Somehow, I think they did. Certainly they knew that when the price of energy increases, so would all else. It’s sort-of like overeating causes obesity. Try as one might, separation of the 2 is possible only in one’s fantasy desires.

Now they act surprised. Moreover, Joe is trying blame everyone but his son for the problems he intentionally brought on this world.

By the way, why isn’t Fauci in prison. He has had his part in worldwide disasters, financial as well as health, living and deaths.

8.7% COLA

Just received a message that the Social Security Cost Of Living Adjustment will be almost 9%. I don’t know if that’s a record but it’s the biggest in recent history.

Still, it doesn’t truly represent the real increase of living. Consider my grocery cost rarely went more than $125 per visit to the store. Nowadays, it’s over 200. My gas bill has doubled and the only reason my TV watching hasn’t gone through the roof is tha I no longer have cable.

When Biden keeps driving the up costs faster than he drives up Social Security payments, he’s not helping anyone relying on Social Security for a living. Even more, the cost goes up day by day. The COLAs go up once a year. As such, even if the COLAs were accurate, they would always be a year behind.

Then why should he care? I doubt he is concerned about the price of a gallon of milk or a gallon of gas. He likely could care less about how much bread it costs for a loaf of bread. His last concern is how much change it costs us for the changes he’s made.

Of course he does care about our votes, but only just before election days. On the other hand, should he lose any more of his mental facilities, it will all be over for him anyway. The dems can only conceal so much.

Representative Cheney Does Not Represent

I think this becomes casual to the most obvious observer when you consider the margin by which she is being voted out of office. Therefore, I submit that her seat on the current kangaroo hearing on January 6 is illegitimate.

She claims to represent her constitutes while all the time, her representation is of of her colleague dems. Moreover, she makes no effort to deny it.

If there were such thing as recalls of representatives, she would already be gone. Then again, maybe not. With the fear of an immediate loss of her job, she wouldn’t have done the things she’s done. Her idiocy would have been far more apparent to her.

Now, the only question that remains is what she will do come January. She might write books that no one will read. I don’t know, but she might go into practicing law. Certainly, she likely needs a lot of practice. She might join all those others who practice legal bribery; that is those who lobby for wealth. I’m sure there are many dems that will help her to get set up in that endeavor.

Wait a minute. Maybe I need to apologize somewhat. I’ve written over thirty books and hardly anyone has read them. On the other hand, millions of her book will be printed, purchased, distributed to warehouses and just sit there. It is one of the most common ways to bribe dishonest representatives. And it works quite successfully.

A Thought

Most of us, even non-Christians know that the tribulation will soon follow the rapture. Some of the best known scholars have some disagreement on the timing but I do believe I’m in good company by saying that soon after Jesus removes His own, the worst 7 years on this planet will soon follow.

Personally, I suspect that it won’t be instantaneous, though it well may be. Admittedly, I’m speculating a tad.

The following question assumes that the tribulation soon follows the rapture. It is logical. Just what might happen if all of a sudden, there are no more Christians in the world? With no Godly people in the governments just what could be expected. With no Godly teachers in our schools, what would be taught? With no Godly businessmen or lawyers, what can be expected.

Don’t you suppose the criminals would run wild as criminals would be running law enforcement? What can be expected when the demon possessed are in charge? Can we really expect anything less than tribulation.

Then I look at what the dems are doing today and there is but one conclusion I can come to. It would seem we are already in pursuit of that time. The foundations are being set.

If you should be one of those left behind after the rapture, don’t be surprised if things turn very bad vary fast. It is foretold. You have been foretold. There will be no one to blame but yourselves.

Rules of the Road

My wife’s grandfather used to patrol the highways of Arkansas mainly looking for truckers who operated outside the rules of the road.

In general, he didn’t spend much time in Ft. Smith, he did occasionally write a citation there. One day, a few months before retiring, he stopped a woman for driving the wrong way on a one way street.

After very politely explaining the dangers of her actions, she pointed at a nearby by sign. It seems they changed the proper direction without notifying him. After a quick courteous apology, he tipped his hat and wished her a good day.

It all started many years ago. They made a road, painted a line down the middle of it, assigned a speed limit and expected us to follow the rules. The rules and the roads have become more complex but we are still expected to follow the rules. Certainly, we are expected to drive the right direction on a one way road.

Sometimes, in spite of all our best efforts, we make mistakes. If we are fortunate we and all others drive away safely, but not always. Sometimes, people are hurt. Sometimes vehicles and properties are damaged. Worst, sometimes people are killed.

It is why we are given warnings and tickets for running red lights. Sometimes, we get tickets. We don’t like it but we can’t imagine the alternative. Without enforced rules of the road, driving wouldn’t be safe for any person unless they are driving a tank.

It is easy to see for driving. However, it is even more so for for ordinances, laws and regulations. However, if they aren’t enforced, it is the same as highways without enforcement. There are many who would simply ignore them.

If we don’t incarnate those who steal, we encourage theft. If we don’t imprison those who hurt and kill, then we will have assaults and murders. The one thing just follows the other. It would be nice to be able to live in a world without prisons but such an effort will most certainly result in a would of fears and nightmares. It is why our founding fathers built prisons.

They figured it out a long time ago. Life is far better with the criminals behind big walls. It may or may not help the criminals but it certainly improves society.

Moreover, like the police car to the speeder, the enforced law decreases the tendency to steal or kill.

It does make a person with a brain wonder wny the FOCs, aka democrats, openly allow, even encourage the breaking of laws. Perhaps, maybe, just possibly, it is by design. If they destroy our society, they believe they can rebuild it the way they want it, which is not the way we want it.

The way we want it is the elected are the servants and we the electors rule. The way they want it is they are the royalty and we are the servants. If you listen to their speakers closely, they will actually say so.

If they have things their way, the rules, all the rules will benefit them. You notice, already, many of the rules that we live under, Congress doesn’t. They are special. They are the royalty.

Lemonade Sales & Other Money Making Ideas

By this time we’ve all heard the stories of kids being put out of business for selling lemonade or Cool Aid in their front yards. Believe me, it is not limited to kids and lemonade.

When someone came up with private citizens driving others around, the taxi industry about had had the proverbial, not so literal, heart attack. They were paying bundles to operate their businesses and a bunch of non-professionals came in and started talking their customers.

Actually, it was also the city governments that didn’t like it as well. They make a handsome sum from each and every cabbie and not one cent from the Uber drivers.

Nonetheless, Uber succeeded despite the objections of many city halls. I can’t say why, but it is one of very few. Even then, California challenged and succeeded at altering their operating model.

I know a few that had no success at all.

  1. In New England, there were dozens of older women knitting caps. They sold the caps to distributors who sold them to small stores. Most everyone benefited, that is, besides the unions. The unions sued in federal court and won. It seems that it is illegal to be paid by the piece. The only ones to benefit from that court decision were the unions and the lawyers.
  2. While teaching at MCAS El Toro Marine Station, two of my students visited Palm Springs. While visiting a motorcycle shop, they couldn’t help but notice the high prices. When they asked about them, they were told about the exorbitant fee to transport them there. The 2 did the calculations and determined thy could transport them in a pickup for half the price and still make a good profit. They made three trips, making quite a bundle before they were approached and threatened for commercially transportation of goods without a license or permit. When the men told me about, they said it was good while it lasted. At any rate, now you know why motorcycles are so much more expensive in Palm Springs than in Los Angeles.
  3. My oldest brother was generally pretty industrious. One day he bougt and restored an old tractor to do some personal work. Very soon, many people were asking for help. It wasn’t long before the tractor was making him a bundle. He even paid a guy to operate it and still made money. After 6 months, that came to an abrupt halt when he was told what he was doing was illegal. I never totally understood that one. Still my brother made a bunch. Besides the work he was paid for, he sold the tractor for 3 times what he invested in it.

My guess from the above is that lawyers don’t like people making money unless they get their cut.

I do know there are true logical reasons for such laws and rules but those lawmakers do like to carry things to an extreme. Hence, 7 to 11 year-olds cannot make lemonade for profit.

By the way, if you come up with a really good money making idea, I suggest you check with a good lawyer…just to make sure it’s legal.

The Epitome of Stupidity

I just heard a report on CBS that was so unbelievable that I just had to verify it before writing on it. Sure enough, it’s accurate according to NPR (Becky Sullivan)

Henceforth, VISA, Mastercard and American Express will (or have) created a code for gun sales. This is in hopes of decreasing gun violence.

Sorry, that will have little or no affect. The reason can be determined by a smart 6th grader (One who does not attend public school). Those who plan to use guns illegally are not likely to use a credit card to buy a gun. Hidden near the end of the article is a stat that pretty much confirms this. About 7% of those using guns during crimes buy them legally. There is no record of the purchase of over 90% of guns used in crime.

If I decide to buy a gun without my M.C., all I need do is go to the ATM and withdraw 6 or 7 hundred dollars and go find someone interested in selling their 9 mm.

I have no such plans nor do I currently have any guns, although if the FOCs continue to run things as they do, I just might go out and buy a few automatic pitching machines with which to defend my home. I’m not sure, but I’d think it would be a good legal way of defense. Any smart burglars burglaring my home would be wise to bring their baseball glove.

As I have said before, the way to stop gun violence, or any kind of of violence is three-fold. Teach respect of human life in the home, in the schools and from the government. Pray and encourage prayer before the violence. It doesn’t help much after. Make sure everyone knows basic gun safety.

One more thing thing that would help is to lock up those who commit crimes, especially the violent kind. Many violent crimes are committed by known criminals, most which don’t use guns.

Good News

For those interested. I just found out that one of the thorns in Trump’s side has just been shot down. Come January, Liz from Wyoming will be looking for a new job. Invariable, she will find one in among the news establishment. She will be well rewarded for becoming a never Trumper. She might want to remember, though, all liars do get their just wages in the end.

Tis a shame we cannot arrange an immediate result. Unfortunately, we do need to wait for November to make it final. Then we have to wait till January to make it legal.

Either way, she got the message, though she is not likely to take the hint from her constituents.

Almost Paradise

As I considered the title to this post, I realized I came up with something of a good book title. At least, it seemed that way to me. Now, I need is a good book to go with it. Come to think of it, maybe someone did already. It would be a shame if someone else beat me to it.

The point is that the place I moved to in 1977 was really nice and had been for decades. It was almost paradise, though there were a few problems.

Some of the roads were spread with pot holes. My poor little car had a real problem with the little trailer bouncing around behind us. There were but a small smattering of places to eat and we could find but 1 doctor office, 1 dentist and one pharmacy. The closest hospital was 15 or 16 miles away.

However, the schools were nice and there weren’t many police. Wasn’t much need for them. It truly was almost paradise.

In this world there are problems with paradises. Southern California, before 1950 was an almost paradise. Now, look at it. I won’t go through the list of problems there now. Everyone knows. The desire to live in paradise has destroyed it. Now the U-hauls are leaving and the people are going to other paradises; as Texas, Florida, etc.

in all likelihood, those paradises will be spoiled too. It almost always happens. Unfortunately, paradises draw the unsavory element as well as the exemplary.

It’s happened and is happening where I live. If I possible, I’d leave as soon as i could. If there were an army of police, it would not be enough. The undesirable element is drifting south from Memphis. It does say something about Memphis. No one wants to leave a good place for a worse one.

We now have doctors hospitals dentists, the whole works. Even the streets are smooth. However, it seems that every fourth car I see nowadays has Shelby County plates.

Don’t actually have too much of an objection if they want to spend Tennessee dollars in Mississippi, but they bring their driving habits too. Not only that but they bring their crime, mostly drugs, and robbery too. A couple of years ago, I posted a story about a break in in my house. Dumb thief! One look at my little 900 square foot house and he’d have known I don’t have anything.

The area right across the state line had two big thriving malls and the area around it had a multitude of stores, restaurants and businesses. The malls are now all but closed and the parking lots are all baren.

Needless to say, the value of my little house has skyrocketed. Every time Memphis comes up with a bad idea my property value goes up.

The problem is that as they leave what used to be a near paradise, they bring their stupid ideas with them, and ruin our neighborhoods.

It is not just a local problem. It won’t be long that the illegal aliens will bring their ways to our nation and destroy our national paradise.

This reminds me of a passage in the Bible in which it says that murderers, thieves, liars, adulterers, etc, etc, and so forth will never go to heaven (paradise).

At the time I first read it, I did not see the full significance as I do now. You see, any place where such people are allowed would not be paradise. It would not be long before even the steets of heaven would be ruined. When the corrupt are denied access, about anywhere would be great. Then, with Jesus there too, it will be perfect.

If you would like to go there, you need a reservation. The only way to get the reservation is to accept Jesus as your savior. Then, he will cleanse you. Those not born again are not cleansed. They will not enter paradise. They will only see eternal punishment.

if you think about it, it makes sense. Who wants a paradise full of corruption and the corrupt. Certainly, God doesn’t.

Now if I could just get all these liberals to go back to Memphis where they belong!!

The Biggest Problem With the Marines

After 9 years in the Marines, it saddens me as I watch what happens to it. I’m sure that I’m not alone though I have yet to check around.

To be sure, it has gotten soft. If I went a day without getting hit during boot camp, it was a real oddity. OK. I admit it. It caused a little pain. In the end, I knew my drill instructor had my interest in mind. The pain only increased my chances of my survival, which also increased the chances for the marines around me. Being in the air wing, I never saw any real combat, but i was plenty close enough for me. I also met many who did see the combar. I drew the conclusion that, no matter the pain, better to learn in training.

Certainly, the advent of politically correct experiments haven’t helped. Well, they helped the politicians. When staying alive is the object, politics matter less than nothing. And one of the best ways to stay alive is by killing the enemy, as horrible as that may sound. When you keep him on the run, his abilities to kill you are greatly reduced.

Then, I ask, do we really need women in foxholes? Does it really improve our abilities to rain terror on the enemy? I know for sure 2 things about that. I would never willingly share a foxhole with a woman and no woman would ever want to share a foxhole with me.

I could certainly carry on just about forever on the subject, but the question is the biggest problem with the Marines. That’s simple. That’s obvious. The biggest problem with the entire Department of Defense is the commander in chief. No one person has done more damage to our military than Joe has.

My only question, is it stupidity on intentional. Likely, it is both. The problems with the likes of Joe giving the orders is that learning war tactics by experience is horribly expensive and there are no backspace keys. Mistakes are very permanent.
