Leadership

When in the Marines, I had to memorize the traits of a good leader. To be sure, they are a good thing to know military or not. However, it is not enough to know them. I did and I was a lousy leader.

I can’t remember all of them anymore, but here are the highlights. I think few will disagree with them. Honesty, integrity, courage, knowledge, humility, example & a few others I can’t think of right now. I am sure you can look them up on the internet. Nonetheless, I knew men who were good leaders who lacked many of the traits. I knew many bad leaders who had most of the traits. There does seem to be the untangable that is difficult to define.

However, I cannot talk on the subject without bringing up one important fact. One man not only had all these characteristics, but in perfection. Jesus Christ the son of the living God. You look up those traits on the internet and you will find He had them all to perfection.

You cannot say this of any other leader.

On the other hand, Old Joe has none of them; certainly not honesty.

Do you Suppose That Boot Old Joe Feels in His Hindside Might be From His Own Party

Suddenly, after 4 years, Old Joe’s son’s laptop has been declared real. Now who declared that and why? Do you suppose they are droping hints to Joe and his puppeteers that it is time for the old man to step aside before the dem leadership start getting serious.

If this be so, just who do they have waiting in the wings? On the other hand, do you suppose that fight has yet to be fought?

Change is not Always Good.

Nikki Haley says she wants change. That scares me. Last time I heard someone talking change was Obama. Look how he changed things. Ever since, whenever I hear the word, my ears go up in fear. Just what does Nikki mean when she says change. Scary when she never said what changes she wants.

EVs & Cold

Took the almost Nissan Ariya out in the cold for the first time. Also, there was 7 in of snow. I must admit, I was impressed. Drove about 5 or 6 miles with no slippage, though I was driving very conservatively.

Because heating is by heatpump, heat was immediate, though not great. The heated seats helped a lot. The cabin is well insulted, so once it’s heated, it doesn’t take a lot to keep it warm.

If I must come up with a suggestion, it would be to improve the defrosting system. Then again, I will likely say that about most any car. If it was up to me, I would add a small electric defrosting element to them all. Then again, I don’t design them. I only drive them… for about the last 60 yrs.

Oh yes. One more note. Until the cabin is warm, the heating will consume about 1/4 to 1/3 of the power. Then again, I suspect that is normal for most EVs. The bigger the cabin, naturally, the more it will require for heating. My car does have a pretty large cabin.

Frank it Down

Just a Little question. Is anyone else ready for the frank it up commercial to go the way of the do-do bird. Actually, I was ready for it to disappear before it appeared.

Personally I don’t like spicy foods. No amount of advertising would ever gain my interest. Some folks just really know how to go about irritating me, and maybe others.

However, regardless of how many times I see the commercial, I can’t see the point of it. I mean, really, what does frank it up mean.

In itself, the sonogram machine are not a threat to the pro-abortionists. However, a law requiring them before abortions would likely cut abortions by 50 percent. Moreover, the women will feel better knowing that they kept their babies.

Most importantly, it would save lives. That scares those who make a living killing children. They might actually have to start practicing real medicine.

Gambling & Sports

It’s a bad mix. By itself gambling is bad enough, but when it gets mixed in with sports…

I have been watching the Philly game, which seems horribly one sided. Of course gambling has nothing to do with it. Still, given how gambling is so wide open these days, it does make me wonder. I imagine others wonder too. After a while that gets to a point, perhaps especially should Philly come back and win.

Talking About Global Warming

  1. While the Mid-south may soon be setting record lows.
  2. While Buffalo and Steelers are having difficulty getting the teams to the stadium, let alone fans.
  3. We can’t get our voters to our caucuses due record cold.
  4. Did I mention we just might have up to 7 inches of snow in Desoto County this evening. Not a record but I think we need to go back to around 1977 or so to find anything close to it.

Did I mention I don’t like cold.
