Bob Marley?

I’m leaning back, watching the news and sudenly there is a segment that came up on Bob Marley, which brings up the question, just who is this guy that he should rate a 5 minute segment.

Then, after a short time, it became clear to me. It’s not about him. It is about a movie about him. In other words, it was a 5 minute ad pretending to be news.

Don’t much care for trickery like that. When I tune in to see the news, not pretend news. I kind of like to see important things, not important things to the CBS board.

For anyone intrested, I will not watch the movie. I will discourage others from watching it. Of course, CBS has a bigger megaphone, so I doubt I’ll make a measurable difference. As they say, though, it’s the effort that counts.

At least info-mercials are honest in their representation

Measles Outbreak

Before the mid 1960s measles outbreaks were common. 2 or more million died every year world wide. To most, it was a very irritating rash. To others it was devistating.

Moreover, to catch it, one only breathe while in the room with someone who has it. It is one of the most infectious diseases known to mankind.

In the past few decades, it has been on the decline. In the US, the vaccine had the disease virtually eliminated. Now, I note on the news that there is a major outbreak. Oddly, they seem to be having difficulty figuring why or where it has come from.

Let me give you a hint. Millions have been crossing our border. No one has been screenning them. We have no idea how many had measles… mumps, whooping cough, polio or any of those other horrible little monsterous viruses. Do you suppose anyone has a clue as to how many brought the China virus with them from Mexico.

Those little virus things are really good at hitch hiking. It is why immigrants were isolated for a while before they were permitted to actually enter our country in early 1900s. Back then, we actually had some intelligece on such matters. Now, not so much. Now the diseased bring those little hitch hikers with the help of the dems.

So, if your child has come down with measles, or for that matter, mumps, small pox or any of those other horrid diseases, you might want to thank the dems. President Trump did have those coming across the border to a trickle.

The dems and the rinos did not like that. The rinos were already complaining that they were having to pay higher wages. The dems were angry that they would have to give up future voters.

And so it is, for lower wages and future power, your child must endure the suffering of measles and or many other dreaded diseases. (Just so you know… they don’t care.)

If your child suffered, or possibly died from one of those hitch hickers, was the open border worth it. Do you really want the borders left open. Are you really in favor of letting those micro-hitckers into the states so they can spread and cause grief to others.

I know they saynall is fair in polotics, but this is a new low. Nicky Haley knows very well the tactics the dems are using. She is very well aware that all the charges aginst Trump are trumped up and empty. Yet, without shame, she climbs right on the dem bandwagon in an attemt to make Trump look bad.

She should hope her methods don’t work. If those dems turn their figuritive guns on her, most certainly she won’t figuritively survive them for a day.

Now tell me, just what real help does she hope to provide the republicans. The only ones she is helping are the rinos.

HOW MANY?

1 death in KC, MO. Several injured. Bad. Horrible.

Now-w-w, let’s see. 397 homicides in Memphis yr 2023, 100 more than yr 2022. Another record like this year.

I feel very bad for the one killed in KC, MO. However, you will pardon me if I’m neither shocked nor surprised. It seems every time there is a large gathering, someone dies. Moreover, it is getting difficult to feel bad for the deaths when they occur at a rate of over one a day.

Maybe, it is a good time to do someting besides talk about it, and I do mean something besides gun control. Believe it or not, people are killed by other things. Murders took place long before guns.

A good thing to remember, murders usually begin inside the mind of the culprit, freqently hours or days in advance.

To What Purpose?

I get it. I really do. Newspapers, radio and TV all fail without ads. Some magazines have already failed because they could not attract enough advertising.

In the past decade or so, newspapers have started having problems. This even includes the New York Times. Most of us listen to radio, watch TV and or rely on social media.

Due to a lack of choice, I listen to WREC radio in Memphis for news. I am not all that pleased with the way things are going, but it is about all I have. TV news here is horribly biased. Newspapers have no real news and I no longer have cable.

I grit my teeth and put up with that ads on WREC, though I frequently turn the volume down for some of them. They were irritating to begin with but the repitition has become most annoying.

They keep advertising a 67 song and a couple of Jefferson Airplanes songs. Here lately, I have been wondering what they are advertising. Just what is it that they want me to buy. How many times do they think they have to repeat the exact same thing before they will convince me to buy what they are selling.

I know they do need the advertising money. I just wonder, for what purpose if I haven’t a clue what they are advertising.

Don’t think it much matters. Don’t think I’ll be buying much of it anyway. Right now, I am surviving well without it. I don’t think I’ll miss it much, especially if I know not what they are advertising.

Benjamin Netanyahu

The man has one of the most difficult names to spell I have ever seen. Not the first one. I have literally been spelling the first one all my life. It’s the other one I have the difficulty with.

As I started writing this, I tried spelling it from memory. Then I looked it up. I had change the 4th letter to a. Had to swap the y and h. My apologies. I hope to get it right next time. For that matter, I hope I got it right.

I am and have been one of your biggest fans for decades. I really wish we here in this country had a president like him. Every time I turn this way I hear of something he does that I want to cheer him for. From time to time, I would like to send him a message to tell him how much I admire him. Even now he has the courage to stand up to Old Joe when he has decided he wants to run Israel.

So. If anyone out there knows Mr. Netanyahu, or if you are going to meet him in the near future, please tell him there is at least one here in this country is one of your big fans. I would tell him myself if I could. I just don’t have his phone number. Maybe someone out there does.

Gravity: Consistant & Reliable

Drop something, it “falls,” all things. Moreover, the rate at which it falls is totally predictable. It is based on the mass, the air resistance & so on. You notice I put falls in quotes. That implies the direction it “falls” is always the same, down.

Down, of course is aways defined as toward the earth’s center. Never is it this way or that way. Always down. Perhaps for millenia, mankind have thought about that. In recent history, huge papers have been written on the subject since Issac Newton & Leonardo de Vinci. People have been studying it and we still still know little more than we did, maybe less.

Perhaps, the one thing that amazes me the most is the way it reaches out into the millions of light years and helps control the orbits of orbits.

The average person thinks the astronaut in orbit has escaped gravity, but not so. It just is that he has other has another force acting on him, inertia. Take the inertia away, that big space station will fall like a big piece of metal.

By the way, Inertia is an awfully reliable force too. Then again, there are many laws of science we only pretend to understand. Isn’t it amazing how God put it all together? He did it all without our help.

Then, oddly, there are those who say God doesn’t exist. It all just happened by accident. And all those laws of science just fell in place without anyone setting them in place.

Just what requires more faith, the presence of God, or that it all just happened. I’m putting my faith in God. The gravity that is caused by accident can fail at any time, by accident…as well as well the thousands of other laws we must trust daily. We must, like it or not.

At What Point?

It is the question the abortionists refuses to answer. Some would say the question is at what point does the fetus become a child. The reply becomes very simple for the atheist. For them it is a simple a transition from 1 stage to the next.

For those who do believe in God, the answer becomes different. Indeed, the question becomes different. At what point does God give the child life? At that very point abortion becomes redefined as murder.

If your idea is different than his, that makes you a murderer. If you help the abortionists, that makes you a murderer. If you encourage that abortion, then one day, even you will answer for murder…for each death you helped to cause, even if you’re an atheist.

Open Defiance

Can we bring up the last presidential election one more time or is everyone going to openly defy any other possibility than as it turned out?

I’m not a big fan of Glenn Beck, but every now and then he says something that is really, really thought provoking. Let me say what he said in a very different way.

Why is it that when anyone brings up a good question or two that everyone and their cousins quickly clamps a lid on it. Of course I do mean that figuratively, but I certainly can’t exaggerate it even a little.

I mean, think about it. I bring up the subject and immediately if not sooner, my thoughts are belittled, before I even bring forward any facts.

Nothing, but nothing was established in court. The Supreme Court refused to even look at anything, defiantly. At the time, couldn’t understand that. Considering the obvious disobedience of the law I still don’t comprehend it.

It is as if someone, somewhere said put a lid on it and no one nowhere, noway, no how dare say anything differently.

You might take note of what has happened to those that did try to swim upstream. Many are already in prison. Many more are on their way. Is this really the way we should be treated when we question the outcome of an election.

If so, there are at least 3, maybe 4 who should be behind bars.

DON’T like it when the rules only work but one way. I do believe most of the rest of us do, or should feel the same.

V. P. Claims Guns Are Greatest Cause of Deaths

Roughly 40,000 deaths by guns. 90,000, 100,000 and 120,000 for last three years by drug overdose. She knew it when she spoke. It was a prepared speech. She had access to the numbers, more than me.

I might be a few thousand off here or there, Mrs V. P. not close.

Maybe she should fire her fact checker. Then again, maybe she doesn’t mind getting it wrong. Maybe it was intentional. That is sort-of the way dems do things. It’s all about power. If it means a few fibs along the way, so what. It’s what they do. It is their method. It is their pattern.

Then when they are caught, they ignore it, as does the media.
