After a brief look over the Web, I think most agree with me that Maximo Alvarez had the best speech so far during the Republican convention. He said he saw it all before. He knew the pattern. To be sure, he spoke many of the same words I did, but he spoke from first hand experience. He fought back tears as he saw the history being repeated.

It is proper to make sure that your realize that his parents escaped Spain during the civil war there. Then he escaped Fidel Castro’s Cuba. He said he saw people around him suffer and die before he left the island nation. At the end of his speech he said, “There is nowhere left to go.”

Now, may I add my words?

I have seen people become indignant because we dare to call Biden a communism. Well, when he speaks the words of a communist, in my book, that makes him a communist.

New York tried socialism and it didn’t work. California is trying socialism and it isn’t work. At one time both states had massive successful economies. By the day, their economies are crumbling. The worst part is that they aren’t satisfied with that. They expect to force their communism on us all while expecting us to bail them out.

They cannot manage their forests, so now, the California governor begs us for money to help them fight their fires. Because New York could not manage their medical supplies, the governor begged for money and supplies from the rest of us. Then he blames the president for the problem that came from a communist country. Tell me that makes sense.

If you want to know what the soviet union of the United States would look like, look at what New York looks like now. People are leaving the state in bunches. New York used to be the most populace state. Now, it follows California and Florida. If things continue, they could end up with less people than Mississippi.

Then as Maximo Alvarez said, where do we go when all the states resemble New York. What do we do when the US resembles China or Russia. What do we do when we go to the store and can’t find a loaf of bread? What do we do when there is no gasoline at the stations? What happens when they turn off the electricity as they do in California?

Right now, it only happens in other countries. Right now, it only happens in other states. What do you do you do when it happens here? What do we do? Where do we go?

We all make mistakes, small and great. Most of our mistakes we can recover from. Letting Biden and his friends take over would be a major mistake that we would never recover from–ever.

All Mixed Up

The more we become like others, the less we will be like us. And, at one time we were pretty good.

One of the things I noticed over the years is that people in the Soviet block would do just about anything to get into the United States. In fact, there were some who were desperate to do anything, period.

Many risked their lives to get from Cuba to the US. Indeed, many did die before reaching our shores and given the choice, they might do it again.

There must be a reason. There must be something here that they could not get in Russia.

Now of all things, there are people here who want to change the United States into something resembling the Soviet Union. Try figuring that one out.

As for me, it’s simple. Those folks wanting a socialist republic of the United States are simply mixed up. They haven’t got their heads on straight. I figure about four or five years living in China, as the Chinese do, just might help them understand what freedom is. Indeed, if they were to move to Cuba permanently, they just might start thinking of a way to make a seaworthy raft.

The US is a far cry from perfect. I will be one of the first to admit that. But the reason people want in here is that it is by far the best anyone has come up with.

For decades, the US was the example that the other nations tried to follow. Is it now smart for us to follow their example so that we would regress to what they are?

Sorry, but every time I hear the statement that we are the only country that does not have socialized health care, it makes me sick. What is it that they have that we don’t? Until Pelosi and those dummycrats started muddling with our health care system, we had the best health care in the world. Everyone came here to our doctors and our hospitals. Now, not so much.

Before the dummycrats and the unions we had the world’s most productive country in the world. Today, not so much. Everyone seems to want to go to China to have things made while our labor sets with their hands out wanting food stamps and other government assistants. And, of course, the dummycrats are in favor of strengthening the unions and their crooked leaders.

The more we become like others, the less we will be like us. And, at one time we were pretty good.

The Truth About Hope

One day a man starts out from one of the small airfields on the island of Santa Catalina off the coast of California. He starts flying west and hopes to find an airfield soon. In this case, his best hopes are to end up wet. There are no airfields west of Catalina in the range of a Cessna single engine prop.

A woman in Saint Louis boards a south-bound train in hopes of going to Chicago. Eventually, the only place her hopes will get her is New Orleans. Then again, maybe that was where she hoped to go. Many folks prefer New Orleans to Chicago. In general, the weather is better.

Neither of the above stories is true. However, people get turned around all the time. One afternoon, when I pulled out of a Sonic restaurant, I thought I turned west. I hoped, shortly, I would approach my home.

Needless to say, hope didn’t do me any good. On the other hand, when I stood outside my car and saw that the sun was behind me, I realized my error. Strange thing, though I was going east, I was absolutely convinced I was going west.

For me, the problem was doubled. I was getting low on gas and I didn’t see a hope of a gas station anywhere. At least I saw the error and drove north where I would likely find a gas station, which I did after about five miles.

The thing is, democrats like to talk a lot about hope. The problem is that they do this while all the time leading the country in the wrong direction.

It’s just not safe when you put your hope in people who don’t know what to do or how to do it. The fact is that most democrat politicians have never run company. The never met a payroll. In many cases, they never held down a real job.

Obama was a neighborhood organizer. Biden has always been a politician. Before getting into politics, Kamala Harris was a lawyer and, from what I understand, not a very good one. Some would go so far to say she wasn’t very honest either. Are these the leaders on whom we want to place our hope?

One more thing about hope, which is even more important. There are many who hope they will go to heaven who won’t. Satan has sold them a bill of goods. What he offers is a counterfeit faith. It is logical that if he hopes to fool people, he needs to make the counterfeit look very much like the real thing.

I would suggest, that you make sure you have the real thing, not the counterfeit. Hell is a horrible place and forever is a long time. It is a place without hope, ever.

Surprise!!

I just heard that some democrats are considering removing the phrase “under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance.

Now that surprises me.  My guess is that they would want to remove the pledge altogether.  After all, they do believe in globalism and they do believe in open borders.  With those beliefs, why have any allegiance to anything but the UN.

Life, Liberty, and Property.  They are three things worth fighting for.

Originally I was going to use Land for the third word but it simply wasn’t quite inclusive enough.

When life is considered, it is very important that a person  consider more than his own life.  There are the lives of family, friends and countrymen.  When our forefathers went to war to be free from England, their thoughts certainly were for more than themselves.  Those who gave their lives in the Pacific and on the shores of Normandy had more than their own lives in mind.

Liberty is the one of the three that cannot be measured but it is just as important.  Indeed, it is for liberty that our forefathers died.  Liberty is one of those things that makes life worth living.  To be sure, living without liberty is no more than existing.

In the US Constitution, one of the amendments insures that property cannot be taken from us without good reason.  And, of course, when property is taken, the government must pay proper compensation.  This certainly applies to land but also any property.  It gives individuals something to work for and if the government can just take it from us without reason, it would destroy the desire to work.

In a true communists regime, none of the above is permitted.  All is shared, even with those who won’t work.  As such, all socialists government must establish methods that force people to work… either that or provide some other reward.  Then again, all rewards may be taken back by such a government at any time.

If you truly study the Constitution for a while, you will easily see that before the socialists can take over this country, they must first destroy the Constitution.  The Constitution and socialism cannot co-exist within the same country.

And so it is that communists use the Constitution to subdue the US.  They also use deceit and lies.  On top of that, they use fear in the form of political correctness.  After all, if you say anything against socialism, you are in danger of losing friends or you job.    Failure to see this now may very well lead to losing your life, your liberty, or your property.  Conceivably, you could lose all three.

In addition they drive wedges between segments of the populace.  They make the poor hate the rich and they take advantage of the anger of the minorities.  They love to promise Utopia but they will only give you a modified feudal system.  Only those inside the government will have any privileges.

It is time to put the socialists in their place.  It will take votes.  It is not enough to beat them by a little.  We must beat them soundly.  We must do this in  2020 and in every election afterword.  We must do this nationally, statewide and locally.  It is the problem with those socialists; they are persistent.  They keep coming back.  They have taken our schools.  They have taken our unions.  They have taken over the news media and they are fixing to take our government… if we don’t stop them.

If they should takeover, their is but one reason.  It will be that they caught the voters sleeping on the job.  Then, when they awake, they will realize the nightmares have just begun.

Hand to Hand

In the Marines, I learned the phrase to mean dealing with the enemy at close range, generally with or without weapons.  Let’s face it, though the rifle is the marines best friend, sometimes it runs out of ammo.  Sometimes, the enemy closes to a point that shooting him is not an option.  The one who walks away from such an encounter is likely the one best prepared for it.  Also, of course, it does very much depend on the frame of mind.  A hesitation of a fraction of a second can determine who lives to fight another day.

This post, however, mostly has nothing to do with the subject.

You see, one of the methods the dummycrats use to gain power is the giveaway method.  While they give with one hand, they take with the other.  They convince many to look to the government for provision.  To date, we have at least a dozen or so giveaway programs…money for nothing.

In some regards, this can be good.  People who have genuine disabilities have needs and we are a generous people.  In many other countries, the blind must resort to begging.  (In this country, perfectly healthy people beg.)  However, when people without handicaps make it a point to rely on handouts to live, it causes problems.

Most important, it makes it more difficult for those with real needs.  When people approach me for a dollar for gas to get home, I tell them to get a job.  Okay.  Maybe they really need the dollar.  Maybe they really have a temporary problem.  The thing is, for every one that has a real problem, likely 20 beggars are using deceit.  They are professional beggars and the ruin it for those who really have hit a bump in the road.

Nowadays, we have another form of begging, the government dole.

Wouldn’t it be nice if the only folks who asked for handouts were people who really need them.  My guess is that at least 2 out of 3 people could make it on their own without being a drag to society.  (not based on any facts)  They see the opportunity and they grab it.  Some feel a little guilty at first.  Then they look around and realize that they are far from being alone.  Indeed, many are even more guilty.

Their is however, a more menacing problem.  The government owns those who are on the dole.  It means, if you want to continue to receive your payments, you must jump through the right hoops.  Worse yet, you must vote for the right people.  I mean, what happens if and when someone gets into office that expects able-bodied people to go out and get a job?

The check you receive from your Uncle just might also be your leash.  Just maybe, before you cast your next vote, you might reverse your thoughts.  You might start asking the question, which candidate might cause you the most harm.  For as soon as the sun rises each morning, the dummycrats’ ultimate goal is to control you.  With the one hand they give.   All the time, they are getting ready to take your money and your freedom from you with the other hand.

The thing is, it is not just your freedom you are selling, but everyone’s.  I guess, in a way, it really is hand to hand combat.  Only it is not our lives at stake, but our liberty.  Only, from this fight no one will walk away but those who have control.  Once the dummycrats have their control, they will take away the free-everything and make you work.  The thing is, they will also pay less.

You doubt my word, study your history.  It is how they took over Russia, China, Cuba and Venezuela.  Read “Communist Manifesto” by Karl Marx.  He lays out the whole roadmap and the socialists follow it to the letter.  They have told us how they will take us over and they succeed even though we know their plans.

And, by the way, it really isn’t about socialism.  It isn’t even about communism.  Truth be told, those who are trying to take over could care less about either of them.  They are just convenient tools they use.

Their real goal is control.  To gain that control, they give with one hand while they take with the other.  Of course, they don’t this with their money, but with ours.  Still, people blindly follow.  It is the oldest scam in the world.  They dupe by promising something for nothing.  It has worked since the beginning of civilization.  It is a proven method and they have honed it to a grand and treacherous scheme which is based on the false doctrine of communism.

(side note: it is in the Marx’s writings that you find “From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.”  Some try to attribute it to the Bible, but it is not there.  It sounds good, but it is folly.  Every place it has been tried it failed, including China.  Without stealing ideas from other countries, they would still be using abacuses for banking.)

In the end, it is simply another power grab, a new dictatorship.  However, this time, it just might go worldwide.  This would mean that the freedom our fathers fought for will cease.  It will be no more.  It won’t even exist in history.  Those in control will make sure of that.

You can preview most Kindle books on your Kindle, computer and, or many other platforms.  You can do this simply by clicking on the book you want to preview.  On the other hand, you can simply download the preview.  Neither will cost you a dime.  If you should decide you want to order any of my books, most of them are on paperback as well as Kindle,  You will save by using the Kindle format, which, again, can be read on computers as well.  By the way, you can also download them to most of your phones.  I know.  I tried it and it works well.  Oddly, I found it very easy to read.  I even considered using the phone instead of my Kindle.  It would save carrying around two devices.  I abandoned it though.  Reading on my phone really caused a drain on my battery.  Also, the Kindle has a few features that the phone doesn’t.

Listen?  I can’t believe myself.  A couple of decades ago, someone would have considered me crazy for suggesting that you read a book on a phone.  Strange thing these new phones. You can read books, play games, send e-mails and oddly, some people even use them for talking.  There was actually one case where I saw two people talking to each other on the phone…while they sat across a table from each other.

The Reason for Lies

One day while watching TV, I heard someone ask, “Why do the Democrats lie?”

If I may, please allow me to paraphrase, let me count the reasons.

1. Now, let see, because they can.  This is likely the number one reason.  A republican makes one slip of the tongue and it is all over the news.  Democrats lie and it never makes the news.  Then again, that does make sense.  Why should a democrat lying make the front page when it is so common.

2. Certainly, the democrats do want power and they see the lie as the means.  It certainly worked for Paul Joseph Goebbels and his boss.  Vladimir Stalin and Joseph Lenin found it effective.  Goebbels’ power was brief and fleeting but Stalin has his followers to this day.  In some ways, that which he started remains and will likely remain through history.  I could go on and name a few more but I’m sure I’ve made my point.  Lying is sort of what socialists do.  It would seem that they can’t help themselves.

3. Also, they lie to escape prison.  By the way, Clinton had to admit lying and barely avoided the big house.  Fortunately for him, he had lots of friends.  Even then, he was convicted and lost his license to practice law for a while.

4. On the other hand, you have Adam Schiff.  He is the imminent example of liars.  The man is both dumb and a liar.  Even when he gets caught red-handed, so to speak, he still doesn’t have the sense to know it.  He just goes on lying, telling one after the other.  He likely will until he dies.

Remember Obama and his famous lies?  You can keep your doctors.  You can keep your plan.  and, oh yes, the shovel ready projects.  We never did find out where all that money went to.  It certainly didn’t go to the projects.  I would suspect we might find it in the pockets of a few Obama supporters, that is, if we were ever permitted to look.

Let us not forget those who told the fatal lies, the World Health Organization.  Because of their lies, thousands of people have died.  Millions have lost their jobs.  Even after President Trump confronted them with the truth, they continue to lie.  Worse yet, the dummycrats continue to try to say how we must continue to bow down to them.

It is why I call them dummycrats.

What’s Next?

Many people speak about the monuments and statues.  The question I ask is, “What’s next?”

In every country where tyrants took over, it was always preceded by one thing, the destruction of books.  Hitler and his minions burned them by the millions.  Lenin had bond fires fueled by the pages of the past.  However, for him it was not so difficult.  He was only taking over from another tyrant, the Tzar.  Many had the desire to forget his rule.

The current communists have the desire to take over this country, but they are starting with the monuments and statues, which is a real part of our history: good or bad.  Indeed, they ignore that good which they did while magnifying their small faults.  To be sure, they preach about the spec in Jefferson’s eye while they ignore the beam in their own eyes.

My question has an answer, the books.  They will begin destroying the books.  Mark my words.  Very likely, within the decade they will start removing books from our shelves and they will persecute those who write anything contrary to their gods.

They will not need laws or rules.  Political correct will be all they will need.  No one has the will or the power to stand against the tirade of those who love evil and hate good.

Eventually, of coarse, they will go after the one book they hate most and the one person Whom is the main target of their hate.  They have already removed God from our schools.  It is a matter of time before they will eliminate Him completely, or so it would seem.  To be sure, they will prevent the publishing of the Bible and any of its teachings.

Without doubt, it will lead to the downfall of the biggest and best experiment ever tried.  It is their design.  It is their goal.  If and when this happens, it will be one of the world’s greatest disasters.  When they take God out of our lives, hate and those who love hate will prevail.  It began with compromises.  As the compromises continue, it will end in our downfall.  The compromises never move toward the good, only toward the communists and their goals.

When they win, we will lose.

 

Unplanned Results

Just because you don’t intend to help the communists, that doesn’t mean you aren’t.  The communists, the Russians and the Chinese love the riots.  The rioters do all the damage that the communists would do if they could, but can’t.  So they just stand by and watch.

Actually that’s not true.  The commies cheer and, whenever they get a chance, they provide a little help.  Why not.  The rioters are helping them.  They would be stupid if they didn’t take advantage of the situation.  By the way, they are not stupid.

Nothing would make them happier than for the rioters to bring down our government.  Then, to take over, all they need to do is step in and take the reins.

I would really like to tell the rioters that but for two things.  First, they wouldn’t understand.  Second, they wouldn’t care.  Third, they would likely become angry.

Then one day when they wake up under a government like that in China, they will wonder what happened.  They will care then but it will be far too late.  Oh! …and by the way, communists regimes don’t permit riots.  Actually, they don’t even permit demonstrations.  Their definition of free speech is when you say what they want.  Anything else and you will get more than a hand slap.  Likely, you will get more than a day or two in jail. Then it won’t much matter what the people want.  It is a feudal state by another name, but worse.

Color Me Disappointed

My oldest brother was in the Army Signal Corps.  My second oldest brother repaired TV’s and then became an engineer for a big radio station.  My third oldest brother had a degree in electronics and a master’s in math.  He designed computers.  It only made sense that I would become involved in electronics.

Unfortunately, I was somewhat dyslexic, though I was never diagnosed with it.  By definition, dyslexia is not caused by trauma.  Because I had two traumatic events in my early childhood, I might not be dyslexic, even if I meet the criterion otherwise.

That eliminated college.  I am prone to mistakes when I write and I can’t type.  I simply cannot complete a term paper.  Also, I would have never been able to complete college English.  I have this problem with homonyms.  I know the difference between there and their, but, for some unexplained reason, I occasionally use the wrong one.  Worse yet, I have a problem with spelling.

Nowadays, we have word processors that help somewhat.  Still, even after checking and rechecking my work, mistakes get by me.

Still, I did get into electronics.  I went into the Marines and completed a 16 week electronics course in thirteen weeks.  I graduated second in the class.  (I think the other guy cheated)

The last week of the course was on computers.  In 1969, computers were still somewhat new.  Many banks just began using them.  Most TVs used vacuum tubes and transistor radios had just come into their own.

So, at that time, there was little time spent on computers in the school.  However, and this is the whole point of my post, the instructor said something about computers that I still remember, “The only reason for computers is to save time.”

Though one of my brothers designed computers, the thought really surprised me.  Over the years, I thought about the statement many times.  To some degree, the statement is still true.  However, today we have at least three more reasons for computers, graphics, entertainment and saving space.

I don’t think I need to explain the first two, but saving space might not be so obvious.  We used to use fiche.  Now we use disks.  A few optical disks can replace thousands fiche.  Besides, going back to the first reason for the computer, the disk is much faster.

Unfortunately, some have found another reason for computers, keeping track of employees… or citizens.  Today, computers are being used for the BIG BROTHER effect.  Instead of the computers being used to help the employees work more efficiently, they are being used to keep a thumb on the employees to make sure they don’t make too many keystrokes on their keyboards (for example).

For a person who studied computers from my youth, it is a great disappointment.  Instead of being an aid, it allows the boss to spy over the employees shoulder.  It allows the governments to track its citizenry.

Today I am disappointed in the way computers are used.  They are used for games.  All right.  I admit it.  I do play more solitaire than I should.  Still, we have simply overdone it.  Pseudo football games are played on which people gamble, by the millions.  Some are addicted to the games to the point they ignore everything else.

Then, of course, there are those who use the computers to steal.  Some folks have lost their homes to those who know how to use the computer for this purpose.  Then, when the deed is done, almost nothing can be done to make it right.

I have seen the good that computers have done and I have seen the bad that they have done.  Like any other tool, they can be used for good and they can be used for bad.  Seeing the bad I find it very disappointing.  No one seems to care, not even a little.

If I am a computer salesman, I don’t sell to the employee.  He doesn’t control the purse strings of the company.  So, if I hope to sell the computer, I need to show the CEO how the computer the benefits management.

Now, which will have the most successful outcome?  If I explain how I can help the employee or if how easy it makes it to spy on the employees.  And so it is that the computer is abused and will continue to be abused.  I see no way to stop it.

 

So, just color me disappointed.  Instead of the computer helping to free men, they have been used to enslave them.

Now, as near as I can tell, the communists seem to have discovered computers can be used in taking over a country.  It can be used for finding the individualist.

By the way.  How can I forget one of the most obnoxious abuses of computers… Robocalls!
