Rare Agreement

I rarely agree with any said by Old Joe. However, in this case I must. In the state of the union address, Old Joe said, “Freedom and Democracy are under assault.” I agree. It is casual to the most obvious observer that freedom and democracy are in substantial danger. Moreover, so are the Constitution and Bill of Rights. This is especially true for freedom of speech, freedom of religion and right to bear arms.

The dems are doing their best to destroy every bit of it.

Catching It From Both Sides

The dems are upset at Robert Hur for saying Old Joe’s memory isn’t what it used to be.

The Republicans are saying, if he’s bright enough to run a country, he should be able to face a jury.

Either way, it appears Old Joe definitely did what Trump did and likely much worse. It just is we conveniently can’t try Joe because of limited mental capacity.

Now aren’t you happy to know our country is being run by a man with limited mental capacity.

The Lesson From Bataan, the Movie

I can’t remember first time I saw the movie Bataan, but I had to be young. It made a big impression on me. Even more, it was the first time I learned something about military intelligence.

I’m not so niev as to think the movie was a complete accurate accounting of what happened during the battle, no one survived it to tell about it.

Nonetheless, in the movie, one of the characters got really angry at another for blowing taps for the first one to die. The one said he deserved it. The other said he was giving valuable info to the enemy. He had just told the Japanese that we lost one man and that somehow, somewhere, they just had a success.

I asked my older brother about it and he provided additional explanation. Even at my age, it was an eye opener.

Later, during my years in the Marines, I added my understanding all the more. Military intelligence is far more complex than Mad Magazine’s Spy vs Spy. Indeed, it only confirmed the realistic nature of the cartoon.

Yet, during Vietnam, we provided the world with a day-by-day report of the killed, the missing and the captured. Worse, we reported to the Chi-coms confirmed kill, wounded and captured. To which I am sure they thought, Thank you very much.

And now, stupidly we report Israelis losses to the world while we assume that HAMAS reports of those killed by IDF as rock solid truth.

Just how stupid can we be? Just how simple can those in charge be? The secret is you keep things secret. You don’t give the advisories that information which will be helpful to them, even in the least.

5 months, 4 days

I just looked it up. That is how long HAMAS has held out, continuing to fight.

It raises the question. They are going without food and water but, apparently they continue to have ammo. How do you suppose that is? Why do you suppose that is? Just where are their priorities?

Just how much ammo did they have stored away? On the other hand, maybe someone is resuppling them.

I don’t know. I can’t even guess. I only know that they have to have gone through tons of war supplies. They must have tons more. If they are not running out, how are they being supplied? Who is supplying them?

Finally, I hope I’m not the only one asking these questions.

Boeing & ESG

Boeing participates in Old Joe’s Environmental, Social, and Governmental ideas. It is not a required program, but those companies that refuse to take part, Joe makes it goes rough on them.

I looked up Boeing’s program. It wasn’t difficult. It took me less than 5 minutes. They seem proud of it.

For those who have not had it explained to them, it means putting environment, social justice and government at high or maybe highest priority. This means, over safety, over making money, over religion (right & wrong) as well as all other things.

For decades, Boeing has had a very strong reputation, top to bottom, bottom to top. I say it this way because it seemed as important for those building the planes as those in the management.

Now it would seem that the feds have gotten into the management, things are getting sloppy. I dare say, it seems true throughout aviation.

We have parts falling off planes. When they checked about the panel falling off, they found other planes with problems from the factory. Then, they fond other problems too.

That problem with the door panels was a real disaster waiting to happen. As it was, it provoked real fear into those on that plane. I’m sure it caused real financial problems with the Airlines too.

It makes me wonder, why the sudden increase in errors. Who, if anyone was punished. Were there any shake-ups in management. I’ll never know.

Worst, we will never know what role ESG played in it. We will never know what role it played in the decisions after the fact. Are there any corrections not made for the sake social justice? Will any lives be lost in the name of the environment? Finally, what role did the government have to say in the matter?

It has led me to wonder if we will ever learn what all this monster from Maryland has brought to us.

I hear stories of people suing, though I am not sure who they will be suing. Normally, I would not be in favor of such suits. It drives the cost of air travel up.

In this case, let them go at it. A real message needs to be sent, safety is far more important than ESG. Actually most everything is more important than ESG. That person in that seat nearest that panel that fell off will likely 2nd my motion.

They Finally Admit It

Since years before 2016 the dems and the news media have refused to admit that there is a border crisis. Now finally they admit it but often try blame Trump. I find that interesting. Trump did not take office until well after the crisis began.

Moreover, it was not until near the end of Trump’s term that the traffic was reduced to a trickle. Then, of course, obviously, Old Joe undid what Trump did; and the crisis resumed worse than before Trump.

Now, finally I see CBS has the headline across the screen, that’s right, BORDER CRISIS. Don’t know, but I suspect the other networks also have similar declarations. Maybe it is an admission they were wrong. Certainly, we’ll never see an outright acceptance of guilt from them.

However, it is something of a step in the right direction. Don’t expect them to start affixing the blame where it belongs… Obama, the dems and the rinos. Already, it is clear they want to place it on Trump and us followers.

Either way, much of the damage is done. We likely have 18 million illegal aliens in the country, many of them criminals, some potential terrorists and who knows how many foreign agents. To be sure, we have already suffered the onslaught of murders and robberies. The education and medical facilities have been stretched to their limits.

PTA meetings are now a joke in many schools because of the number of languages they are held in. Even now, when I had cable, I noticed there were dozens of foreign language channels. The hope of ever establishing English as the standard language is now hopeless. Worse, the American flag no longer seems to even be the the standard standard.

The only hope we have is to put an end to this run on our country by the dems, the rinos and their communists comrades.

Confidence Tests

When I worked in electronics and computers, we had what were called confidence tests. Even though we knew the equipment worked, the confidence test provided the operator confidence that everything is working, at least mostly.

A good example of such a make-shift test is on a calculator. 123456789 + 987654321 on a calculator should produce a sequence of 1s followed by a 0. I’ve tried it many times and it always worked.

The little exercise provided me with some confidence that the calculator was able to properly add two numbers.

So. So what. what good is this little bit of knowledge.

Well, as you likely know we generally go to a doctor at least once a year for, sort of, a confidence test. We go to doc knowing we feel ok. We leave, having a much higher confidence in our health.

The reason I bring this up is obvious. Old Joe had his confidence test. We have been assured that we can have the upmost confidence in the man’s health, that is, other than his mental facalties. They kind of left that part out. It sort of means we have no confidence in his ability to make even simple decisions.

Some of us had no need for such test. Really makes me think Joe’s puppeteers are afraid of such a test. I have some confidence they have no confidence in his ability of passing the test.

A lot of folks out there like gambling. I wonder how many would be willing to risk a bundle on Joe being able to pass that test. Do you really think he can make it halfway.

Let’s Build Things Right

Just for grins, I thought about spelling right, write, which would be wrong. Because I have a horible time with spelling, especially homophones (used to be homonym in my youth). Ironically, rite, wright, right and write are especially easy to get wrong as they are a group of 4. Most are groups of 2 or 3. Naturally they all have similar spelling. The English language would suddenly become easier if they were all spelled the same. Much better if true for all homophones.

However, instead, someone way back when decided to complicate my spelling life and came up with 4 spellings, each with its own meaning(s).

Now why am I speaking of spelling when my intention is to speak on fridges and washers. Well, I guess there is oddly a similarity. I promise.

In 1972, a long time ago, before the age of personnal computers, I purchased a 14 cubic foot coldspot fridge that, as far as I know still works. About 2005, I made a mistake. I wanted a bigger, better fridge…with an ice dispenser. It barely outlasted its 1 yr warrentee. I had it repaired. It broke again.

I bought another. It lasted 2 years and broke. Anyone notice a pattern here? Is there something wrong that they they can’t build them right?

When our washer broke, we bought another. Now that was a bad idea. I should have had the other one repaired. It was just a belt. I don’t have any memory of the old one dancing around the kitchen during the spin cycle. Thought about figuring a way to nail the new thing to floor.

The problem was, it works just the way it is supposed to. I can’t expect them to fix it on warrantee. It is simply a design defect. They didn’t design it right.

Guess I’ll be forced to buy a front loader. All the top loaders seem to like to dance. It is the result of an effort to decrease water usage. Well, I guess I could go back to the old wash tubs. It is just the two of us. It isn’t that hard. Fortunately, I still have a good gas dryer. If it breaks, I will get it fixed. I really might not like a new one.

Now. As for the new fridges. They have 3 things wrong. The old ones used a grate on the back of the unit as a condenser. No moving parts and easy to get at. The old ones used simple mechanical timers, which were simple, realiable, inexpensive and easy to replace. Modern ones use computers, complex, expesive, difficult and nearly impossibie to get to. You’d think such parts would have an easy access panel.

Then there is the coup de grace. Instead of using a heating element for defrosting, they use lights, which must be replaced on a regular basis. With us, it was about yearly.

Now, here’s the connection I promised you between the spelling and engineering. In general, people do expect me, an amateur, to get it right, though, I must admit I am prone to mess up now and then. These characters, engineers go to college four years and they are paid a bunch to get it right. They don’t and they still get paid.

As a short word in the defense of the engineers. They are under a lot of pressure to go green. (you know, Environmental, Social, Governmental, ESG)

You see, just as they decided to make English more difficilt, they have also decided to make appliances more difficult.

Okay. It is a stretch, a big one. Stll you get my point.

Incidentally, I wonder if it ever comes up in board rooms that they can make more profit off units that they can advertise as computer controlled instead of the old mechanical ones.

Sometimes, I Hate Being Right

The doctor asked me what’s wrong? I have heard of folks who like to dianose their own illness. I know better than that, but still I said, “If I had to self-dianose, I’d say I have a blood clot in my upper leg.

After the test, after the doctor pronounced the results, I told the doctor, “You know, sometomes I hate being right.” He had a small laugh. Then effectively announced I will be paying about $300 a month. That is when I really didn’t like being right.

Then the doctor told me, if I have any symtoms of the clot going to my lungs, immediately call an ambulance.

I am convinced that I can thank J&J for this clot. It has been a couple of years since I took the stab of the needle to prevent the China virus. Still I am convinced it was them…. and the media for not lettin me take meds they knew work and they cared not.

ESG carried to Extremes

  1. Shelby County Clerk, Wanda Halbert… among other things, can’t keep track of revenues. It’s been one panic after the other since she was sworn in.
  2. Vice President, Kamala Harris. When Old Joe looked for a running mate, you recal, he chose the one person in this country less qualified than than he is. His 2 requirements said in public: female and Black.
  3. Again, when Old Joe went in seach of a justice, he chose one of the few people in this country, correction, world that cannot define a woman. Justice Katanja Brown Jackson met the only two requirement for Old Joe. You notice he didn’t list so much as one more requirement. However, truth be told, she very likely is in favor of ESG policies. She was likely told she was just before Joe selected her.
