I Have Decided to Do My Part

According to those in the Biden WH, we should do our part to save on energy usage. My first thought was “Forget it!”

Then I had second thoughts. I have a fantastic idea on how I can do my part. All I need do is go out and buy a horse and buggy. Being as I am retired, I could use it for 80 to 90% of my travel and my use the car for the rest.

Actually, better yet, I could sell my car and just rent an auto when I need it. It might save me a dollar or two.

Wait a minute. What am I thinking of? I can’t get a horse. I think they have laws against that sort of thing here in the city.

Oh, well. Guess I’ll have to settle on my car, at least until they change the law. And I would really like to get a horse. I like horses . It’s maybe better anyway. I’ve kinda gotten used to air conditioning and I don’t think I can put one on a buggy. The extension cord would be too long.

2 Things About a Bully

There are many things that people say about bullies in general. They are mean, inconsiderate, generally big, and they generally have big egos.

However, there are two things that are true about all bullies. They always bully people they perceive as being weaker than themselves. Moreover, they persist until someone successfully stands up to them.

There is no doubt that Putin qualifies as one. Though week, his ego is fed by his office. Through his office, he also meets many other descriptions of bullies.

However, though some don’t think of him as meeting the description of a bully, Joe does always back away from the strong and causes the weak grief. Moreover, his ego grows bigger by the day. If he were removed from office, his ego would take a dive. Currently, he is surrounded by those building his ego. If he were to lose his job, he would be crushed.

May I remind one and all, right now, the bully who is not backing down is Putin. I guess that means Joe is the weaker bully.

When it Ain’t Broke….

It is an old saying and well worth remembering and repeating…When it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Apparently, Joe didn’t get his copy.

The day he took his oath, nothing was broken but Joe decided to start fixing things. Now he’s not only broke the thins here in the USA he’s grossly messed up things all over the planet…and he did it in a little over a year.

Now people are suffering and dying. Guess he’s really proud of himself. He now has the world on the brink of utter nuclear destruction. Joe just might want his folks check his fallout shelter. That way, he just might survive to realize what he did.

`nough Said

When Biden first took his oath, gas was less than $2.00 a gallon. Now it is $4.15. It’s likely gonna go up another dollar or two. ‘Nough said.

When Joe took over, things were relatively peaceful and secure. Now, not so much. People, children are dying. Joe don’t care. According to him the most dangerous thing is climate change.

But then the climate change thing’s a lie. Getting oil from the former soviets causes far more pollution. Then his problem with drilling here in the US is that gas prices and pollution would go down, disproving Joe’s narrative.

As an aside, there’s a whole bunch of pollution being generated by that war over there. If pollution were really their concern, they would stop that war. One bomb can produce a bunch of smoke, aka pollution. And that doesn’t even take into account all the fire and smoke post explosion.

Dumber Than Dirt, Figuratively

I like Jen Psaki. I do. I have the feeling that we could actually carry on a reasonable conversation face to face. Moreover, I realize that her job is to protect her brainless boss. However, this time she just went over the line.

When asked if starting up the pipeline would help relieve the oil shortage faster than going green, she calmly replied, “No.”

Now, let’s see. The pipeline would relieve the oil shortage in what? 4 or 5 months. Going green? Maybe 30; maybe 40 years. Possibly never.

That either makes her dumber than dirt or a person who tells big fat ones. I prefer to think she’s lying. If not that makes the woman less intelligent than the pet rocks I spoke of in an earlier post.

Then again, she just might prefer to pay for Putin’s war by buying oil that pollutes far far more than Canadian oil. Might it be possible that she, her boss and her friends are far more friendly with the Russians than they accused of President Trump.

Then again, it just might be all of the above.

The Unintended Consequence

Putin had the idea of taking over Ukraine. However, his efforts have made two facts clear. He is a very bad general and the leader of Ukraine is very likely the best leader holding office on this earth these days.

If Putin should succeed at killing Zelenskyy, he might realize it to be his worst mistake. The man might die but his influence will far outlast Putin and any potential legacy he might have ever had.

Zelenskyy will be remembered for his courage and leadership. Putin will be remembered for his cowardice and ruthlessness, as with all bullies.

By the way. One more thing. Zelenskyy just might outlive Putin. I’m sure that would be just fine with most of us.

Credits & Responsibilities

I did watch a few small parts of the state of the union. It was all I could stomach. The current occupier of the Oval Office was taking credit for what President Trump did, and refusing to take responsibility for all the disasters and death he authored.

This is a quick reminder of some of what he is responsible for.

  1. Loss of jobs, especially those lost in the oil industry the day he took his oath. And by the way, also the day he began ignoring that oath.
  2. The loss of 90,000 lives to due to drugs imported over his open border.
  3. No one, even Joe can honestly deny the disasters in Afghanistan at his hand. By the way, you will note, he did not mention any part of it during his speech, which will likely be little remembered. I suspect Afghanistan is one event he trying his best to forget.
  4. He took total credit for all that President Trump did to fight the China virus while trying implicate his predecessor in its rapid spread. Then he immediately began making it worse.

I’m sure many are well able to add a few points I left out. Let’s face it, if Joe gets his way, the future state of the union is very questionable. It seems a good reason to keep him from having his way. At the least, let’s give him a strongly republican congress so he will be on a short leash. Also, by the way, they just might undo some of the disasters Joe caused. Unfortunately, no one but the Lord can do anything about the lives his decisions cost.

Give Me Freedom or Give Me Death

It was a long time ago when those words of inspiration were spoken. Then too, Franklin, I think, said something to the effect of, He who prefers security over liberty deserves neither.

The problem with Biden is that he provides no security while he steals our freedom. He does not want us to have freedom of speech or religion. He wants to take our guns and he wants to federalize our voting laws.

At the same time he has done all he can to give our advisories every advantage he can.

As the aside, he opened the border and gave illegal immigrants more privileges than American citizens.

Personally, I must somewhat disagree with old Ben. I believe in both freedom and security. In the US, The two should not be mutually exclusive. As for Patrick Henry’s words, I totally agree. The question is, in this country, why should we have to choose?

To be sure, many have had to choose between a useless inoculation or a loss of employment. But then why should we have anything to say about our own personal health?

It would appear that Joe is trying to make our founding fathers roll over in their graves. The real tragedy is that good brave men fought and, in some cases, died to provide our liberty and folks like Joe keep coming along and try to take them, as if they have been given a special privilege. Among men, no should have any such privilege.

Doing Business With the Enemy

Trading with the enemy is not new. Until Japan dropped bombs on our Navy, we were selling oil to them. Their ships were built from steel we sold them, even though they were performing atrocious activities against other Asian countries at the time.

During the bombings of London, we were doing business with Germany. I suppose we were selling things to Hitler even while he was killing Jews.

I suspect most historians will say it’s likely a big reason there were so many against declaring war. It was just so outright profitable to sell things to our enemies rather than fighting them.

To be sure, they were not yet our declared enemies. However, everyone knows that they considered us their enemy. They already had plans to conquer us.

Now, here we go again. We do business with an enemy, a known mass killer. We buy crude from him while he goes about his business of subduing the world nation by nation.

This is made all the worse being as we have more oil and natural gas gas under our feet than we need. And…by the way, our oil produces less pollution – while drilling for it, during refining it, and while putting it to use.

However, the real tragedy is that we are doing more than doing business with the enemy. We are financing him. We are helping him to conquer an ally.

Does this mean, in the future, we continue to buy oil from Russia and finance him as he conquers the Baltics, one by one; or maybe Poland.

Let’s face it. It’s far less expensive to watch than to fight. In this case, fighting is not necessary. All we need do is drill and stop doing business with the enemy.

As an aside, it just might be that Putin isn’t Joe’s enemy. Joe and Putin just might be best of buddies. It does sort-of look that way.

Two Experts

I have been told a time or two that an expert is someone who knows a great deal about very little.

My first thought was that Biden and Fauci are excellent examples of such experts. Then again, what is their field of expertise. Biden said he has expertise in foreign relations and we are told that Fauci’s field is in viruses.

I might be wrong. I have been a time or two. However, Biden has not been doing too well in diplomacy and I’m not sure Fauci knows much about viruses. Maybe what they are really expert at is really messing things up. They are doing so much of it that I have a tendency to think it is intentional. If so, that would mean that is their field of great knowledge.

It is a shame. Things were going along so well before they figuratively got their hands on things. Now we will spend decades getting things right again, if ever. As for going green, forget it. If we have to go back to the stone age, we will have to burn wood to stay warm and ride horses to get around. Wood will pollute our air and deplete our forests. The horses will pollute our streets and they will need megatons of hay.

Just saying, it is where we will go if those two experts have their way. Just think of where Fauci will take medicine. Instead of curing diseases, he will invent new ones.

(Anyone know where I can get a deal on a wood burning stove?)
