Unseemly?

I saw the interview of Trump by Kristen Welker this morning on CBS. I noticed she liked to answer the question many times before asking it. To me that seems unseemly, or improper, if you will. To keep the post reasonably short, I will give one example, though I could give at least a dozen.

She could have just asked, “Are you going to insist that you really won the 2020 election?” Instead, she said something to the effect, Everyone knows you lost the 2020 election, so are you going to admit that you lost the 2020 election to help unite the country?

Though it was a horribly biased and badly biased question, Trump came up with an excellent reply. The country is divided now and who’s the president now. I think Welker realized Trump got the better of her there, but I must admit, she went right back to her question, though she must have realized that Trump got the better of her on that question. It reminds me of the adage that a lawyer should never ask the witness the question if he knows not the answer.

Nonetheless, she couldn’t leave it alone when she asked, if the dems won the 2020 election by cheating, why didn’t they win the 2024 election by cheating?

Trump casually replied, “Because I won by too much.”

To some degree, I believe that is true. However, let me add 2 more things to the mix. Even with over a billion dollars, Kamala was unable to purchase the election, regardless of the method. Might I also add that the media, like Welker, like TV and radio stations provided more campaigning in kind in favor of Kamala; this without conscience. Trump still won the electoral college and the popular vote.

As a parting note, that must have really irked the dems. No one of them were able to use that saying they have used in the last 3 elections the Republicans won. Back then, you could hardly turn on a TV without hearing that complaint that they should do away with the unfair electoral college. Strange you don’t much hear a word about Trump winning both ways. Do I detect a little embarrassment? Just maybe there was a mass embarrassment there, I mean, as I said, they don’t like to mention it. If they do like to talk about it, why haven’t I heard one liberal member of the media say a thing about it.

I think the instructions have been distributed, “Do not mention the electoral college. Don’t even hint about the popular vote.”

The Solid South

When we moved into Mississippi we moved into the Solid South and we knew it. It was a time that politicians around here did not admit to being Republican. And, by the way, there were very few Republicans, if they admitted it or not.

Virtually, almost literally, all public officials were Democrats. I would like to take credit for the rapid change but I think it was more a matter of timing.

In a matter of just a few years, it seemed the Solid South went from solid Democrat to solid Republican. One thing I found odd about that is that the Democrats that were holding office became the Republicans holding office. The terms changed but the people remained the same.

It caused me concerns but I simply did not know what to make of it. The same people I was opposing became the politicians for which I was voting. I’m not sure how that happened, to this day.

So I am now voting for people who were really Republicans that were in disguise or I am now voting for Democrats who are now in disguise.

I think a lot of that was going on all over the country. It was an enormous upheaval. The end of it all is that we now have a bunch of Democrats who are pretending to be Republicans. They simply did not want to give up the power base they built so they donned the sheepskin and pretended to be what they aren’t.

So it is we have what appears to be a solid Republican south, but in truth, it just ain’t that solid. There are many red states with representatives voting with the blue states. That’s just not working out well at all.

Secure Vote

Prior to the chad fiasco, Desoto County, MS used the punch system & it seemed reasonable to me. Since then, the came up with what looks to me as an ultra-secure. It looks so secure that I wish they would use it throughout the US.

Before I explain it, let me interrupt myself just a little. A perfect system won’t work without A. a good accurate system of registration. B. a good method of ID. C. minimum mail-in votes. Personal note, internet votes are not secure but it could be made more accurate than mail-ins. There are far too many ways of tampering with the mail-ins. D. drop boxes should never, ever be permitted.

Now, let me explain what we now have for voting. When I go in to vote, my picture ID is checked and I am given a piece of paper. If I prefer, I am given an old fashioned paper ballot.

Assuming I choose the new system, as most do, I go to a computer, enter the paper and complete my vote. The computer prints my vote on the paper, which, in essence has become my completedpaper ballot.

Once I verify it’s correct, I take it to a separate machine and slide the ballot into the 2nd computer.

At this time, my vote is recorded in 3 places, once on paper.

I am not sure what the recount procedure would be, but, if nothing else there is a hard-copy on paper that can be physically counted.

If it were up to me me, regardless of the results, I would do a random check of every 1000th ballot and check it against the computer images. There should be no discrepancy. If any show up, I would endeavor to determine why and correct it.

If we make our methods secure, only then will people trust it, only then will the dishonest be completely discouraged.

Smart Idea!

Again, let me say, as a Mississippi resident, I really have no business telling Tennesseans how to run their state. However, as an observer, I must admit they seem to have passed a good law. With a law requiring law enforcement officers to notify ICE of illegal aliens, the illegal aliens just might want to go somewhere else to hide.

That of course decreases the cost of having illegal aliens in the state: education, welfare, imprisonment, and law enforcement. Some would say this is not fair for the illegal aliens. The fact is, they are illegal just simply by bypassing our rules, laws and regulations. It is also unfair for them to be here while others wait their turn and follow the rules, laws and regulations.

As a side note, they have no loyalty or feelings of allegiance to the US, to the state or the city in which they decide to take up residence. If they move here for the dollar, the dollar and their own country is where their heart is.

You don’t believe me. I ask you. Do they wave the American flag or their own? Are they proud of America or their own country? Do they stand for the Star Spangled Banner or more likely for some other. Maybe they stand proud when an enemy flag is raised and the tune of their country is played.

Please Excuse Me if I Seem a Bit Dull

Over and over, the one time after the other, I keep hearing these people on TV say things about it being so horrible that illegal aliens are voting.

To be sure, it is a bad thing for anyone to allow an illegal alien to vote, but does that mean we are supposed to let legal aliens vote. Seems to me, the primary requirement to vote is that a person be a citizen, born or naturalized, in order to vote. It seems to me that, at least in national elections, aliens -legal or not- should not be allowed to vote.

Then, of course, why should I have anything to say on the matter.

Laws Without Teeth

When I was much younger, I never thought about it much. As I get older, and hopefully wiser, I started thinking of laws more.

Let’s see. In a little more perfect world, there would be no need to put teeth to lays… not one need to enforce them. Consider a law against robbery without the need of a threat of penalty. All you need is a law against murder and murders would cease. Imagine a world where we could make laws against speeding without the need to enforce them.

It wouldn’t be long before there would be little need for policemen. After all, there job is law enforcement. They and the courts supply the teeth to the law. If everyone just simply obeyed all laws that are passed, think of all the money we would save. The need for lawyers would be drastically reduced if not completely eliminated.

The truth is that a law that is not enforceable has no purpose. Moreover, a law that is not enforced may as well not exist.

Think of all those who have been rioting and calling it demonstrating. Consider the looting and arson. Thousands, maybe tens of thousands are guilty and few were ever arrested. Fewer yet were prosecuted. Over the months, I wonder, just how many ever spent a day in jail. They have all become laws without teeth. The offenders of the law realize it and they are taking full advantage of it. It has rendered the law void, useless. It would seem we have decided to let the lawless get away with anything while those obeying the law suffer.

However, it is far more than that. It is against the law to vote in one state while you live in another. They law would seem to have teeth. There are penalties for such things. Yet they are not enforced. So, when people realize they can do it and not suffer the consequences when caught, the law is voided. It is as if it doesn’t exist. Hence the lawless effectively rewrite our laws.

Moreover, some laws are written completely without teeth. You look at the code and there is no punishment designated. So the Pennsylvania secretary of state intentionally disobeys the voting laws and openly admits it. Law enforcement cannot even slap his hand. They are powerless to do a thing, that is, even if they want.

And of course, the Supreme Court sits in their ivory tower and refuses to do nothing. And now… we have become a nation without voting laws. As the man said, “He who counts the ballots wins the election.” And, as I said before, only those who obey the law suffer.

Some Folks Just Can’t Run an Election

It would appear that the Georgia secretary of state doesn’t know how to run an election. Actually, that fella in Pennsylvania doesn’t understand how either. We here in Mississippi might not know a few of those fancy things those boys in Georgia can do, but our election went off without a hitch. Most of the results were in by midnight. That fella in Georgia counted the votes three times and still got it wrong.

I’m sure if y’ll in Georgia need help, our secretary of state can teach ya. That goes for all y’ll up north like Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wisconsin too.

By the way, Alabama got it right the first time too. I’m not sure when they were done, but my guess is you fellas were only about half done with your first count.

Well, I must admit, y’ll did have problems with that ‘water main.’ Glad to hear no one drowned. Still, that slowed you but a couple of hours. From what I understand, no one needed any boats after the minor flood.

Also, of course, y’ll have such massive populations. All y’ll had a lot more voters than Mississippi. I know how that works. You have twice the voters so it takes four times longer. I think all those fancy mathematicians call that exponential or something like that.

However, if that’s true, how did Florida get done so fast. And by the way, no one doubts their outcome. And, oh yes. Texas got done in a hurry too. No doubts about their results, either.

On the other hand, from what I understand New York is still counting votes. It seems every time they get done, they find another dozen ballots. California really isn’t doing much better, though I do think most of their races are settled. Then, mostly it doesn’t matter in most of those races who wins. With just a few exceptions, no matter who wins it’s a democrat… or might as well be.

I simply don’t understand it. How is it that a man with a college degree can’t run a fair & equitable election that people can trust. The truth be known, I don’t think any of them wanted to. If they did, Trump would have won and they didn’t want that. They wanted to put their fingers on the scale enough to put Biden in. Their plot just might have backfired in their faces. At this point, I doubt anyone with a brain would ever trust them to run a state fair. Come to think of it, it is probably easier to run an election than a state fair.

Doth Protest Too Much

The lady doth protest too much, me thinks.

It is a familiar line from Shakespeare’s play, Hamlet, third act, second scene.  Lest you get the wrong idea that I am some kind of Shakespeare expert, I am no fan of his.  In fact, I hated it when we had to read Julius Caesar in high school.

Nonetheless, I must admit that the man could turn a phrase or two.  I would have simply said, “She protests too much,” and leave it like that.  I must admit he maybe said it a tad better.  Also, his sayings are used throughout our English language all these years later.  They are used with such regularity that most people are unaware of it.

Now to the point.  Let me see.  The media said there is no voter fraud.  Let’s just move on.  The politicians echo the saying.  They say that President Trump ought to admit defeat for the good of the country.  (Nixon did that with Kennedy and look where that got him.)

Even well know republicans have joined the mantra.  They say that it hinders the transfer of authority.  Not just one, but it is a very large chorus and the words are repeated to the point that everyone ought to accept it as solid fact.

It seems few remember the 2000 election and Florida and the hanging chads.  I don’t recall anyone saying how important it was to make a smooth transition.  Maybe it wasn’t so important, being as the man going into The White House had an R after his name.

It does seem to be the ‘Rule.’  After all, few complained when Clinton refused to admit defeat.  “I got more votes,” or something like that.  The fact is that the dems are refusing to admit that defeat to this day.  They get to complain without cause and the republicans don’t get to follow completely legal methods.

By the way, has anyone forgotten the words of Clinton prior to the election, “Don’t concede, no matter what.”  I think POTUS has at least as much right to hang on as Biden does.  Let’s say, the president won by 10 percent, both popular and Electoral College.  Was Biden still supposed to refuse to concede?

Now, let’s get back to the protesting too much.  I look around.  I see all the protest against the legal processes by President Trump.  Do you suppose that the protest is to keep ‘we the people’ from finding fraud and cheating?

Just maybe, had Nixon chose to look into all the dead people voting in Chicago, the democrats would have discovered cheating doesn’t pay.  Then they would have ceased the efforts.  If people would have gone to prison back then, we wouldn’t be dealing with the fraud today.

Now, we are supposed to ignore the fraud today and teach the dems that they can cheat any time and in any way.  Sure.  They will be able to do it right out in the open as the Soviets did.

In such a case, it would make the vote moot and we might as well all stay home and watch the TV.  By then, the dems would also control the programming so that we would be spoon fed a bowl full of propaganda.  Then, of course, there would be no rule of law.

Even if no fraud is proved, it will at least alert those who have thoughts of fraud.  They might be less likely to try anything.  More important, if we do find fraud, just maybe those who are behind it can find themselves to be guest of the Federal prison system.  And, in spite of the fraud and cheating, the right man would remain it The White House.

The saying is frequently used and is just as true today as when it was first used…. There is none so blind as he who will not see.  It would appear that about half this country is now blind, willfully.

Progression

  1. There was absolutely no voter fraud.
  2. Well, maybe there was a little fraud.
  3. There was not enough fraud to make any difference.
  4. Maybe there was enough fraud to overturn one state, but not the election.
  5. Well, possibility, there was enough to overturn the election, but Trump doesn’t deserve another term.
  6. Okay, they really muffed it, but it was all just a bunch of mistakes. No one did it on purpose.

There is an old saying around computers. I don’t know who first said it, but I suspect anyone who has been around computers any length of time knows it, “To err is human. To really mess things up it takes a computer.”

Certainly this election has proved the case. It would seem that there are more votes in some precincts than there are people, let alone qualified voters.

Fraud certainly is not new. Long before computers men were finding ways of cheating. After the Civil War, Black people were paid to vote 8 or 10 times. The Black man shouldn’t be blamed. He didn’t know any better.

You would think, after 200 years we’d start figuring out ways of keeping elections honest. The problem is that the democrats don’t want it to be honest. If they couldn’t cheat, how could they win?

Nonetheless, the voting machine has added a whole new dimension to cheating. The advantage of the computer is that it is fast. Hence, it allows the democrats to cheat much faster. Moreover, the computer leaves no paper trail. No matter how many times you do a recount, it always comes up the same. …another computer adage. GIGO (Garbage in, garbage out)

Apparently, that was not enough, because this time, they came up with the mail in ballot. This is where, if I find a ballot in the mail, even if it is not addressed to me, I can fill it out and send it in.

Apparently, there were many folks who did this. People, when they arrived physically at the pole, they said, you can’t vote. You already sent your ballot in. Now, how did that happen?

…and the story continues. Indeed, it might be the downfall of The United States. Abe Lincoln warned us of it. He said that if this nation will fall, it will be from within. It just might be that the warning turned to prophecy.

Oh, yes. One more thing. THE REPORTERS WERE IN CAHOOTS WITH THE DEMOCRATS RIGHT UP TO THEIR ELBOWS, OR MAYBE SHOULDER. It is ever conceivable that they were partially be hind it.
