It’s Still Bribery

God, through his prophets speaks, or should I say cautions, against bribery quite a bit. I will leave it up to you to look it up. He not only cautions the judge from taking bribes but against the person using his fortune to bend the outcome of a judgment.

Not only that. Guess what! It just makes sense to speak against bribery. Any time money, things or favors are offered to change an official decision, is wrong and possibly illegal. It results in bad judgments. It can result in unfair judgments. The guilty go free and the innocent gets locked up.

In modern times, it can warp the judgments of those we elect to represent us. in some cases, to gain money and power, they vote opposite of what they know is right. If you doubt me, start checking what some of these senators are worth. Look at the value of some of their homes. Look at the lobbyists who are lined up, cash in hand, willing and ready to propose their bribe.

They, the briber and the bribee, will one day face the Lord for what the have done and failed to do. I have virtually given up on most of who practice their dirty deeds in the government buildings, those most of us would like to hold sacred. Not only is their practice obvious but they no longer try to deny it. They almost all go into office as paupers and come out multi-millionaires. I mean with proof like that….

However, bribery has become common in almost every walk of of life. one of those sideways methods of bribery is advertising. It would seem, though I can’t prove it, that advertising has gained significant control over radio and TV programming.

I would guess the worst of this is the advertising of gambling on virtually all media. 30 years ago, not only would it not be done, it was illegal in most areas.

Unfortunately, both the bribers and the bribees have been hard at work. Of course we always hear those little disclaimers at the end of the ads, which you and I know are as effective as paper walls.

Now sports betting has become quite the thing. It brings together one thing I love and one thing I detest. And why? Who benefits? Of course. Those that pay the bribe, those that are bribed. The rest of us, not so much. The sports and the athletes stand in danger of destruction.

A Brief Look Back at German History

I say this with great caution. It will make it so I can easily be misquoted. And to be sure, we do live in a society that loves to misquote intentionally for personal gain.

There is one part of German history that the dems would love for the world to forget forevermore. During the time that Hitler was making his move, the communists were already well on their way to establishing themselves in the leadership of Germany and many other European countries, as well as the US.

Many would like us to forget that the communists were well on their way to dominance in Europe when Hitler put a stop to it. Had he not done that, it might have been the Soviets we fought in WWII.

Don’t get me wrong. I am no fan of Hitler. I certainly have no desire to build a statue for his memory. However, I am no cheerleader of the communists either, as are the dems.

What Every Republican Should Have Learned

President Reagan made the mistake of making the agreement that, if the dems would make laws to stop the inflow of illegal aliens then he would permit up to 20 million amnesty.

He did, they didn’t. It was, as far as I know, the one big mistake he admitted to. Every Republican should have learned the lesson, but sadly few have. We need to broadcast to one and all, “We have learned the lesson.”

It is the simple concept, payment must be made in advance. We need to repeat the phrase until all are tired of hearing it.

Right now, the dems have demonstrated they want an open border. There is no since seeking any agreement until they first close the border. We must insist on the payment in advance or learn the same lesson Reagan did. Those insisting on dealing with the likes of Biden must also insist in him closing the the border before we hold ANY discussions.

We can never win if we keep letting them win every compromise.

They Finally Admit It

Since years before 2016 the dems and the news media have refused to admit that there is a border crisis. Now finally they admit it but often try blame Trump. I find that interesting. Trump did not take office until well after the crisis began.

Moreover, it was not until near the end of Trump’s term that the traffic was reduced to a trickle. Then, of course, obviously, Old Joe undid what Trump did; and the crisis resumed worse than before Trump.

Now, finally I see CBS has the headline across the screen, that’s right, BORDER CRISIS. Don’t know, but I suspect the other networks also have similar declarations. Maybe it is an admission they were wrong. Certainly, we’ll never see an outright acceptance of guilt from them.

However, it is something of a step in the right direction. Don’t expect them to start affixing the blame where it belongs… Obama, the dems and the rinos. Already, it is clear they want to place it on Trump and us followers.

Either way, much of the damage is done. We likely have 18 million illegal aliens in the country, many of them criminals, some potential terrorists and who knows how many foreign agents. To be sure, we have already suffered the onslaught of murders and robberies. The education and medical facilities have been stretched to their limits.

PTA meetings are now a joke in many schools because of the number of languages they are held in. Even now, when I had cable, I noticed there were dozens of foreign language channels. The hope of ever establishing English as the standard language is now hopeless. Worse, the American flag no longer seems to even be the the standard standard.

The only hope we have is to put an end to this run on our country by the dems, the rinos and their communists comrades.

Arn’t Free Things Wonderful?

You look at the ad. They say breakfast is free with the room. In truth, you & know things don’t really work that way. In order to provide the breakfast, the increase the cost of the room.

The more accurate statement is, breakfast included with the room. It would seem many have confused the meaning of the two words.

I was out of town one day working on a computer, about a hundred miles from home. It was a tad past the noon hour, so we broke for linch. As we neared the front of the line, I pulled my wallet out and opened it. It was then I rememebered, I gave my last 10 to my wife before leaving for work.

I folded my wallet and put it back in my pocket, apologized and told the girl behind the counter I would be going without lunch. She smiled and asked what I wanted. In spite of my objections, I did get a good hamburger, fries and Coke. Now, in that case it was free… to me. At least it was for me, someone paid for it. Only distance and time have kept me from paying them back. At any rate, I made sure the young knew I was greatful. before leaving.

What most of us don’t realize is the debt we owe to God. What many don’t realize is that Jesus has taken mercy on us, just as that girl had mercy on me. Jesus has paid our debts every one of them. It was indesbably costly for him. For us it’s free. All He expects in return is total is that believe in Him and what He did for us. For those unwilling to accept His gift, for those who try to add to what Jesus did, they will receive what they deserve, every bit of it.

In this case for sure, we should all thankfully receive the gift he offers to one and all. You don’t want to be one of those, too, says, “If only I knew.”

Heaven is not someting included with something you earn. It must be totally accepted as a gift. Any thing else is an insult.

Judgement?

Don’t know. I’m not a prophet. Still, California has been getting more than their share of disasters lately. Let’s see. They have had drought, floods, snow storms. As a result, mud slides, possible tornados and perhaps something I left out.

Moreover, it would seem most of bad weather is centered in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Both are centers for sinful practices.

It is easy to sluff it off on coincidence or, maybe climate change. However, maybe we can take a look back in history to a man who was a prophet, Jeremiah. He made predictions of judgements and it was sluffed off as coincidence. Because they did not heed the warnings and turn to God, they were taken captive by Babylon and the Temple was destroyed.

Who am I to say if the one thing has anything to do with the other. However, we do know 2 things for sure. California is very rebeious toward God and they are suffering continuously worse ‘natural’ disasters; the worst I have ever seen there.

Caution: You might start expecting more earth quakes next. More coicidences?

A Side Effect of Pride

1st, let me speak of the well known. Of all sin, pride is one that angers God most. I can easily reason why. It does frequently stand in the way of a man’s salvation. The man that believes himself good, also believes that he has no need of salvation.

Ludacris as this sounds, it is a common stance by many. How many times have you heard, I am far better than most. Why shouldn’t I be allowed into heaven.

I suppose, this means anyone better than Hitler will have to be permitted in.

Another problem with pride is that it causes us to have a distorted view of things. It causes one race to think of themselves as being superior to another. I am xyz, so WE are better than them. WE always will be and God has said so. Some think that was how Hitler thought, this even though he consiered himself superior to God’s chosen people, this even though he was half Jew. ( That’s crazy nuts) This is what happens when you let Satan use pride to twist your mind.

Then of course, there are the atheist who plant their feeble 2 feet and say to the world, there is no God. It is the ultimate pride. He believes that, poof, the whole Universe just exploded out of thin air.

Oops. That would be impossible, right. there was no air, thin or otherwise.

To get to my point, finally. Jesus, while walking this planet was born a Jew. That is to say, He very probably appeared to be Jewish. His hair was likely dark brown black or even red, unlike painted by the Europeans. His skin might have had an olive overtone or maybe pale. I will be the first to admit, I don’t know. He was a decendant of David, who was pale and red headed.

On the other hand, the possibilities of His skin being black are very remote. I won’t plant my feet and defiantly say his skin was not dark, but I am just going by the hints in the Bible.

I know there are those who prefer to buy manger scenes with black characters. The only thing I add. Be careful that you don’t turn the figureines into idols. The is the first step in idolotry is pride.

HOW MANY?

1 death in KC, MO. Several injured. Bad. Horrible.

Now-w-w, let’s see. 397 homicides in Memphis yr 2023, 100 more than yr 2022. Another record like this year.

I feel very bad for the one killed in KC, MO. However, you will pardon me if I’m neither shocked nor surprised. It seems every time there is a large gathering, someone dies. Moreover, it is getting difficult to feel bad for the deaths when they occur at a rate of over one a day.

Maybe, it is a good time to do someting besides talk about it, and I do mean something besides gun control. Believe it or not, people are killed by other things. Murders took place long before guns.

A good thing to remember, murders usually begin inside the mind of the culprit, freqently hours or days in advance.

Just Noticed

I might be wrong, but it seems they never have famous people speaking for AARP. Do you suppose that word has gotten out that AARP is now joined at the hip with the dems.

Well, just a thought. As I said, I might be horribly wrong. maybe some famous people would like the association and AARC are the ones who are rejecting the famous people.

To be sure, I don’t like AARP and never will. After all, why would any conservative want to do business with anyone tied at the hip with the dems. For that matter in any which way. I have not 1 reason for it and about 30 thousand reasons to have nothing to do with them and pass the word along.
