Remember the Alamo

Considering that today is September 11, that’s an odd title for a post, especially considering that the tragedy of 9/11 is far more recent. Moreover, the Alamo was not even in the US at the time. Check your history. It belonged to Mexico. Texas did not become a state for several years later.

However, the Alamo should be remembered and so should 9/11. But, the truth is no one really remembers either one. Both times are studied in history as the we remember the date December 7. Oh wait a minute December 7. That does sound familiar but I am having, oh yes. That was the day that will live in infamy. At least that was what that president said way back then. Now what was his name. I got it. I think it was Wilson, right.

My point is this, many high school grads have no idea why we celebrate July 4, 1976. We all should remember but few do. Just what was it that happened on this current day 22 years ago. Ask around. Do your kids know what happened. Ask them how many died on that day and how. How many remember the so-called purpose for the attack.

It is so easy to forget. Today, it is the first thing talked about on the news. It has likely been replayed a hundred or so times already today. And yet, already, even now, it is beginning to fade into obscurity. It will soon become just another date to remember. After another generation or two it will not even be spoken of much in the schools. The memory will be forgotten. Not only will it be forgotten but it will become obscured. It will be twisted to mean what the socialists will want it to mean.

How many remember the fall of Vietnam. How many know we actually won that war. How many will remember the lost lives there. How many will remember that there was a Korean police action. It is already known as “the forgotten war.”

I often get on the case of the English teachers for not teaching to read and write. Yet that is nothing compared to the way that history is taught. Does anyone out there remember when the war of 1813 was fraught or who we were fighting. I mean, I am 73. It happened a long time before I was born. Why should I remember such things.

I’m a marine. I remember Iwo Jima. A person cannot make it through boot camp without knowing about it. Does this mean that the only way we remember our history is to join the Marines.

I could go on and on with this all day, but you see my point, or at least I hope you do. Hopefully, you will have spotted my intentional errors, though many will not. Try looking up the War of 1813 on the internet.

The man said that those who do not remember the past are doomed to relive it. Let me put it a little differently. Those who fail to remember are doomed to failure and destruction.

So, let’s remember the 9/11 event. But let us not forget Pearl Harbor or the Battle of the Bulge. Let’s not forget the battle we had with communists in Korea. Let’s not forget the men who lost their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan. More important, let’s not forget why they fought. Also let’s not forget when Obama and Biden turned tail and ran in both cases. Let’s not forget the way Congress took Nixon’s ability to finish the war in Vietnam. In each case, it costs the lives of millions.

But it is also important to not let the libs redraw history to fit their purpose. It is just as bad as forgetting. Invariably, it will result in reliving the past mistakes, over and over, again and again.

The Unthinkable

No one dare bring up the question. It is unthinkable. However, here I am bringing it up. Most, almost all consider it improper to to bring the subject up and yet here I go. I just might catch a bunch of flack for it but one must admit, it is possible though not likely. I mean, timing can be everything, right.

What if Old Joe again carries the pennant into battle and it becomes Old Joe vs Trump again. Then, let’s say, two weeks before the election, Old Joe has a massive stroke. Maybe he dies from it. Or, maybe he is just incapacitated.

Old Joe’s name is on the ballot, well not quite. It doesn’t really work that way. We here in the state select electors and the electors vote vote for the president. However, in a situation like this, who are the electors going to vote for. If selected by the state, surely the Democrat electors would vote democrat, but for whom? Some might vote for one, others for others. Still others might chose someone else. Nothing but nothing that I know of specifies who the electors will vote for.

You talk about panic. Worse yet, some of the votes of individuals might already be cast for Old Joe during early voting. Just how would that be handled.

On the other hand, maybe it’s not a massive stroke. Maybe it is just a little one and Old Joe won’t release his electors.

Sorry for bringing it up. I don’t know if such an emergency was ever thought of, simply because it would be improper to think of such things. I mean it is possible, though not probable that Old Joe could die the day before election day. The what do the dems do. It is conceivable they could win the vote and lose the election. All it would take would be five or six electors to change things. Some of these elections these days are pretty close.

I wish I could come up with a suggestion to cover such a thing. I don’t think anyone is listening to me anyway. However, if they came and asked me, I would have no idea as to what to tell them.

Regardless, just maybe someone ought to give it a little thought.

Humacite

I am adding the above word ( the name of a cooperation) to my spelling dictionary. It is very likely to be seen a lot. I just happened to see a segment on FOX News Sunday that spoke briefly on it. I thought I might have misunderstood it. They are still doing studies on it in the US. In Ukraine, the doctors are already using it to replace arteries damaged by war. And guess what. It’s working and working well.

This is a big step in medicine. When these things are approved, vessels will no longer need to be harvested in other parts of the body for heart bypasses. If it all works out, that is good and it is good. Not only can they leave the vessels in the leg but the arteries they put in will be effectively new. They will likely hold up better and the blood will flow through them better.

In addition, it will allow the replacement of bad arteries in the legs. I don’t know. Maybe the veins too. Just a guess, but they just might be able to replace bad vessels in the neck going to and from the brain. That might help the thinking process.

They have been working on these things for a while now. Where have I been that I never heard about it before.

There is another aspect of it, though I suspect it is a long way away. Just maybe they can make parts of organs using the same methods. Those to first benefit would likely be diabetics, especially type I. If I’m not missing my guess though, they might already be experimenting on it.

My Motive to Write

Daily writing prompt
What do you enjoy most about writing?

I found this prompt intriguing.  When I was a kid, I hated writing.  Now I have several full sized books.  Some people actually enjoy reading them.  However, it has gotten to the point I would write if no one read any of it.  Needless to say, hardly anyone does.

I originally started writing posts in hopes of bringing some to my author’s page.  Then, of course, the idea was that I would start selling books by the millions.  Unfortunately for me, it didn’t happen that way, although I have had some success in getting a few more to read my books.

My first book, “The Secret of the Ring,” I began in the mid eighties in hopes that I might discourage people from abusing drugs.  The hope that someone might enjoy it was somewhat secondary.

Some people liked the book and encouraged a sequel.  Now I have about 35 and I am working on two more.  Unfortunately, I don’t have the money for a good professional editor.  I have problems with words like there, their, and they’re.  I know which ones to use but if I am not really careful, I’ll use the wrong one.

Then I see this question, “What do you enjoy about writing.”  I’ll tell you.  I don’t know.  I simply did not realize till now I had not thought about it.  I guess, to some degree, it is in hopes of doing some good, but it’s more.  I just sit down at a keyboard and, next thing I know, words start appearing on the screen.

The hitch is that they are not always the right words.  Worse, sometimes I leave words out or I use too many of them.  I have a tendency to use 12 words when 8 are better.  There have been a few times, while proof reading, I can’t figure out what I was trying to say.  I end up having to rewrite a page or two.  No one, not even I will know what my original thought was.

Then there are times it simply does not turn out the way I want it.  I restarted “The Other Mission” many times, throwing away 50 or 60 pages at a time.  One time I have it starting out one country.  The next time, I started out in another country.  I’m still not really happy with it, but, if you like a story twist, you will like this one.  As I wrote, even I didn’t believe it.  Yet it all worked out perfectly.  I wish I could say it was as I intended.

I guess, in a way that is one reason I write.  I rarely use outlines.  As I write, the story unfolds before my eyes somewhat as if I were reading the story.

Also, strange as it may seem, I try to take on the characterization of each character.  It means, at times, I must think as a villain.  It sort of scares me to realize how much I enjoy it.

When I started the posts, I explained from the beginning that I had no intention of writing on any one thing.  Sometimes, it’s politics.  Other times, it’s Christianity.  I have hoped to do some good on both subjects.

Then, of course, there are the advertising and advertisers.  Sometimes they can be really dumb.  I guess one of my latest subjects I’ve been hammering on is the advertising of marijuana products on TV and radio.  Some would consider that progress.  Many of the same people like the idea of letting dangerous criminals out without bail.  It is sort of a pattern with them.  The never want to take a good look at the consequences.

It has likely done little good for me to get on my soapbox and write.  However, it doesn’t stop me from trying.  If somehow, maybe by accident, I do some good, I’ll settle for that.

I know I didn’t really answer the question.  Then again, when I don’t understand it myself, how can I.

Oh, just before posting this, I thought one reason to write.  Legit complaints.  I hope, some of those CEOs will read what I wrote.  Then maybe, just maybe they will stop packaging things so we need a butcher knife to open them.  (That is dangerous you know)

Let’s Remember What is Really Important

  1. Man cannot live without air. It’s a fact. The air must be of the proper mixture. Too much or too little of any one gas in the mixture can be deadly within minutes. God knows that so, when He made earth, He provided us with air in abundance. You don’t have to go out and buy it, though it is possible. All we need do is breathe. I think it goes without saying that air is the most important earthly thing for us. As we humans are apt to do, we take it for granted.
  2. Water. Two parts hydrogen and one part oxygen. Chemists have found it an oddity in many ways. For instance, it is one of the few compounds that expands when it goes from a liquid to solid. If you don’t believe me, try putting a soda in the freezer for a couple of days. No, no. Don’t do that. It will make a mess and you’ll blame me. Nonetheless, it is why ice floats. and… if ice did not float, it would cause more problems than I can put in one post. Incidentally, water is important too. It is the second most valuable substance to man. A man can go just about 3 days without water. After that, he will fail to breathe. That is to say, he will no longer be able to take advantage of the most important substance, air.
  3. Food. Unlike air, food must be sought, raised or hunted. In some cases, it does grow on trees, but even then, nowadays, farmers grow it. As a side note, to get food, we must have air and water. I guess that makes the air and water doubly important. The time a person can survive without food varies. However, I think we can safely say most people will not survive without some food for more than a month. Fortunately, God has provided us with food too. It just is that sometimes we have more difficulty getting it. Oddly, most of us enjoy eating. That is, unlike water and air. We drink water and we breathe air. However, we don’t normally so much sit down around a table and talk about the days events as we breathe and drink water.
  4. Salt. Nowadays the docs try to caution us against eating too much salt but it is necessary. God knew that and he provided us with a lot of that too, though sometimes it does need to be found where it is. If nothing else, we could drink seawater, just make sure we don’t overdo it. As the doctors say, we do need to watch our intake. It is especially needed for those who work hard out in the sun.
  5. By the way, while speaking of the sun, we must not overlook that. It provides us with light, heat, energy (even in fossil fuel and wind mills) As somewhat of a minor function, it does tell us what time of the day it is and what part of the year. Also, without the sun, it just might be a little difficult finding water, that is, even ignoring the warmth thing. Every day Mr. Sun evaporates tons of water, which is dropped on various land masses. This provides streams, rivers and lakes. Just think how much water the sun needs to continuously evaporate just to keep the great lakes full. Yeah, the sun’s pretty important too.

I’m sure you know I can go on and on about the important things, sort of like a reminder. It is good to remember them and give thanks for them every now and then.

The point is, have you ever thought about how important gold is. I mean, if gold was really all that important to us, don’t you think God would have made it more abundant. To me, the value of gold is in the minds of man. Really, we could live without uncovering another ounce of gold for the next century or so, wouldn’t you think.

It does have real practical uses, but mostly it just sits around in formed in shiny bars, under peoples mattresses and hanging around the necks of folks like Mr. T. It’s nice to look at, but it is simply not that important. Yet, every day, people are on TV telling me I must go out and buy gold, in case of a financial disaster.

I guess, if it is held within reason, it is okay. However, the way I look at it, it just gives the other guy a reason to shoot me. I don’t need the gold. He doesn’t need the gold. Why should either of us get shot over it?

I really think it would be a good idea for all of us to remember what is really important. I will take that one step farther and suggest we remember WHO is important. You know. Family, friends and the really nice guy that was good enough to give you a job so you can buy those potatoes, tomatoes and the occasional steak.

On the other hand, those dems sure think they know what is important, control and they will do anything, lie, steal and kill to get it. Don’t try to tell me they won’t. They have.

The Wholesale Lie and the Aftermath

This post, in part refers to the previous post of a couple of days ago, “Helping the Devil.”  It also refers to the letter by over 50 former intelligence officials implying that the story about Hunter Biden’s laptop was a Russian hoax.

The letter was a lie.  At the time, they all knew it was a lie.  Now, we should all know it was a lie.  Unfortunately, because of the highly biased media, the word is not yet spread.  Oh, and by the way, those in the media knew it was a lie as well0.  Hence, they have aided in the lie and the cover up of the lie.

I could go on and on, but, surely, you get my point.  At least I hope you do.  I mean, it has now become obvious after the hearings in The House of Representatives committee.  A person of average intelligence should know about the lie by the intelligence community, even if they are in a sealed room and with their heads buried in the sand.

Well, I should know better.  As I said before, some people prefer to believe the lie because they want to.  They are staunch Biden fans and they won’t believe the truth when it hits them in the face.

At any rate, I’m done with that.  If you believe the truth now, good for you.  If you don’t, no power on earth will change your mind anyway.

At this point, I am writing on the premise that the lie is truly exposed and everyone knows it.  Now.  What of the aftermath?

First, to be sure, Satan is thrilled.  He has received the help of, not one, but millions of people.  There are those that told the lie.  There are those that helped to disperse the lie, as if it were rock solid true.  Knowing it was a lie, makes them liars too.  Then, there are the millions who believed the lie, not because of the evidence, but in spite of the evidence.

Many people say that if they knew it was a lie, they would not have voted for Old Joe.  Don’t know how true that is but let’s assume it is true.  The election would have gone to President Trump.  I really don’t think the devil would have liked that.  When Joe won, then so did Satan.

So, the damage is to the benefit of Satan and his helpers.  The dems, in the short term win.  Satin wins, for a while.  Trump and his supporters suffer.  Some have been illegally tried and convicted.  Some are still being held without being tried yet.  Businesses, which refuse to go woke, suffer.  In some cases, they have gone into bankruptcy.

The price of oil has skyrocketed, which has problems of its own.  Bribery, crime and fraud have grown rapidly.  Crime, and yes, gun crime is headed toward all time highs.  And, of course, Old Joe wants to let the criminals go and do away with the guns.

Here’s the important part, folks.  Open your eyes, because everyone needs to understand this.  It is almost all irreversible.  Some of it can be by the righted by the right president and congress.  How-some-ever, most of it is permanent.

Men, good men have been tossed out of the military because they refused to take a shot, which we now know is ineffective, possibly dangerous.  Even if they were re-instated today, those years of their lives are gone…forever.  They lost chances for promotions, maybe awards.

If a president were to pardon all the people improperly charged and imprisoned for January 6, those people have lost a big part of their lives.  Some have lost their health as a result of how they were treated in prison, intentionally.

If we drove the price of oil back down to twenty dollars a barrel, Putin would have to toss in the towel.  He’d no longer have the money to wage war on Ukraine.  That would be the good news.  The bad news is that the men who lost their limbs and their lives and their personal property; that cannot be fixed.  Hopefully, Putin would be looking for another job.

That disaster in Afghanistan, sorry.  The only one who can do a thing about that is God.  I am sure Satan loves that.  It makes it very difficult for the Gospel to be spread there now.  People will not know the plan of salvation and they will spend eternity in hell.  And, oh yes, those of you that like to champion women’s rights.  Forget it.  Many of the young women we were putting through school, if they didn’t escape, they were likely tortured and or killed.  I’m sure Satan loved that.  As for Old Joe.  I’m not ever sure he knows about it.  Oddly, I hope he lives out his term.  I can’t imagine what might happen with a president Harris.

When all is said and done, Satan has tightened his control on this country, on this world and, to some degree on all of us.

That wholesale lie helped Satan more than any of us will ever know.  Did they do it to help the devil?  I doubt it.  It really makes no difference.  It’s still the aftermath.  The damage was done.  Most of it can’t be undone.  And, by the way, in this post, I only touched the surface.  It is far worse than I can say or know.  Some people don’t know.  Some don’t care.  Some would not care if they did know.  A few…just a few, have gained power and fortunes.  It was their motive.  It was their desire.  Now that they have it, they certainly will hold onto it with all their might.

This brings me to my final point.  Just why did they tell the lie?  What was their purpose?  Those men knew what they were doing was wrong.  They knew something about what the outcome would be.  Why in the world did they come up with the idea of writing the letter and signing it?

I don’t know.  I have spent some time considering it.  I can guess there was likely some form of bribe.  On the other hand, were there threats?  Maybe someone told them they would lose their pensions.  Maybe there were threats made against their lives or the lives of relatives.  Did they really believe in Old Joe was the right man for the job?  That one really scares me.  Would they really, really be that dumb?

This side of infinity, none of us will really know, will we?  On the other hand, we will have to live with consequences; those of us that lived through it.

If Only There Were Fines

I don’t need to quote the first amendment to you. You might even know it better than I do. Basically, hopefully, it protects our freedom of speech and religion, among other things. It seems that the FBI and other officials of the federal government were doing all they could to decrease, even eliminate, those rights by telling the social media to stop people from being able to use the social media to say certain things.

It’s all out in the open now. Even Old Joe’s press secretary has implicitly admitted it in a press conference. Moreover, she said they would do it again if they felt they needed to. Now isn’t that nice. They don’t stop us from saying what we want. They just make sure others do. Same thing. No difference. That gag that was put on conservatives was by the government, by remote control. Moreover, they seem to be proud of themselves for doing it.

My question now is, how are things going to be set right. People have lost their jobs because of what they did. Doctors have lost their practices. Lawyers have been shunned. Some have even gone to jail. Let us not forget the two and three-olds that were tossed out of planes because they refused to wear masks. Certainly, we don’t want to overlook the schools that were shut down by a few power-hungry animals.

Now, let’s see. What do I think should happen now. The people who met with those social outfits should be tried. If found guilty, they should be required to pay fines.

I only wish it were possible. However, I don’t think it is. Odd as it is, even if found guilty, I don’t think that any fines can be levied. I don’t think they can be forced to spend one day in prison. I don’t know. I’m not a lawyer.

Perhaps I can get a lawyer and prove the Director of the FBI caused me harm by impeding my speech. However, no matter how successful I am with my suit, I don’t think I could collect a dime. Though the Constitution does say that the government cannot pass any laws against my freedom of speech, as far as I know, there are no statutes prescribing any penalties or fines for government officials limiting my speech, directly or indirectly.

So, unless I am wrong, and I really hope I am, those that have been wronged have but one recourse…shrug their shoulders and strive on. Perhaps one thing we need to do, if we can ever wrestle the government away from those power hungry dems, we need to put some teeth to the first amendment, and maybe a few of the others too. When a government official crosses the line, let’s make sure he pays, if not with his freedom, then at least with his wallet.

The Object of Their Love

The following numbers I took off the internet. I simply queried the wealths and wrote them down. However, I would suspect that the numbers are at least close to accurate.

The Clintons have about 120 million. I suspect that of being a little low. To the best of my knowledge, they had very little employment outside of working for Uncle Sam. To be sure, she made some money in law. He made some as a speaker. They both made a ton or two off their so-called charity. It has become obvious that they both used the charity as a slush fund.

Obama and his wife have about 70 million. Not bad for being a community organizer. Me thinks he found another source somewhere. Regardless, he hasn’t done too bad for himself. I suspect he doesn’t do so much community organizing these days, but he sure messed up our medical system. He said he would save us money. Quite the opposite. Of course, all his doctor bills are paid for, he’s very much welcome.

Biden as VP was worth about 8 million. He was sort of slumming it compared to his compadres. However, it’s not bad considering he did it on senator’s pay. Don’t really know what he has now. Some reports say 9 million. Others say 158 million. If you’re curious, you are welcome to try and get something more accurate. Considering what he owns in real estate alone, I’d guess he has to have 30 or 40 million. It takes a lot to keep those homes in good shape, not to mention the cost utilities and gardening.

Then, of course there’s Hunter. While he is not a government employee, his father is. I would suspect his millions and his father’s millions are likely a little entangled. It just might be difficult to determine what belongs to the one and what belongs to the other. It does make his worth at 230 million a little suspicious.

Now. Is the above accurate? I don’t know. As they say, you can’t always believe what you see on the internet. However, I do believe one thing. They all seem to have a lot of love of money.

Now, let’s see. What is it that the Bible has to say about the love of money?

1 Tim. 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil. (king James)

As an aside, I’d like to repeat a quote from a post I made 3 or 4 years ago. I can’t quote it exactly, but you’ll get the point. No matter how good a government is, it won’t work if evil men are running it. Dr. J. Vernon McGee said that. And may I add, those running this government are just about as evil as you can get. They are right on the brink of destroying the government, the Constitution and the nation… I think intentionally and for their benefit. They do seem to have a real love of money… and they hunger for power.

Shelby County Schools

Understand Shelby County schools is looking for a superintendent. Been looking for one for about a year now. One thing is certain, the new one won’t be very good. It’s kind of the history of it all. They haven’t had a good super for the last 30 years that I have lived here.

Used to be the Memphis City schools. The city realized they couldn’t run a school system, so they dissolved city schools, which resulted in the same folks how ran the city schools are now running the county schools. Naturally, they run the county schools just as badly as the ran the city schools.

It’s no wonder that most cities in Shelby County that could, formed their own school systems. By the way, the little cities seem to be doing very well while the county is FAILING miserably. It seems that they can’t even teach their students to read and write.

It’s not just my opinion. It’s history. It is borne out in test score after test score. It is also borne out in in the exodus of people from Shelby County schools. They seem to be confirming my opinion with their feet; or in this case, I guess their citizenship. Many come here south of the state line. Many have moved north, which invariably means a longer commute to work. Some go to Arkansas, which means crossing one of two bridges each morning on the way to work. It is, perhaps a reason we need a third bridge. I’d guess not so many move east of the county. I suspect it is better to move to one of the cities in eastern Shelby County.

Sure hope I’m wrong this time. Somehow, I just don’t think it will happen. They’ve been practicing the wrong methods so long they just don’t know any other way.

Incidentally, I do have an idea or two, but I don’t think they want to pay any attention to me. Certainly, right at the top, put the priority in requiring teachers to teach… the important things. They really don’t need to get involved in all the garbage being passed down from DC. Also, if their students are don’t learn, fire them. Obviously, they aren’t doing their job. Why should they be paid for doing nothing?
