A Careless Remark

Sen. Mitch McConnell made what seemed to be a thoughtful remark, but I think he should have thought it through more completely. Basically, he said that Former President Trump did some bad things but that they should be settled in conventional court(s), not by impeachment.

First, it is a horrible thing to attribute such things to anyone without proper proof. At this point, I do not believe that he can substantiate his remark. I am sure that any proof he might have would stand up in any legitimate court.

All evidence presented in the trial was either hearsay or secondhand hearsay. The one witness statement they slipped in at the last minute was was hearsay at best and not one bit of any of it would have been allowed in a real court of law.

Moreover, in the event that there was a suit or prosecution, the defense would be permitted discovery and cross-examination under oath. I really don’t think the dems would like that. In fact, I suspect it is the reason they backed out of having witnesses in the trial. Would the hearsay witness have repeated the story under oath, knowing that rebuttal witnesses might be called to expose her lie. For that matter, would she have even held up under the discovery phase?

There might even be a chance or two for the defense to produce proof of fraud during the election. That just might prove embarrassing for some of the dems. (I say ‘some’ because there are dems who are beyond being embarrassed.)

I really think that McConnell owes Pres. Trump an apology. However, I don’t expect it and I really don’t think the former president expects it. I don’t think McConnell ever liked it when Mr. Trump became President Trump and I think he disliked him. McConnell never did hide his feelings on the matter to well, especially from the beginning.

The fact is that President Trump has been one of our best presidents and he has accomplished more than any one of them. In effect, he made the rinos look bad and it might have bruised some egos. Exposing the truth has a habit of doing that. It is just possible that McConnell has a few bruises. More than that, it might have caused problems with his lobbyists.

Acquitted… again

Let’s see.

First it was Russia, Russia, Russia. Not only acquitted but proved innocent!

Then there was the first impeachment, along with a few other smaller things along the way. Acquitted!

Then a second impeachment, this without an ounce of real evidence. Effectively tried in a kangaroo court with the dems setting all the rules. Even with the deck stacked against him, Acquitted…again!!

Will they ever get the hint? Can they ever figure it out. They have been trying to railroad him since he started running for president. Someone needs to tell the dems that it is much easier to convict a guilty person, that is, unless they have a D after his name. Democrats have no concerns, like Mr and Mrs Clinton and their Clinton Foundation, the one that made the Clintons millionaires. (The Clintons say they were poor when the left the White House. Where did all those comes come from?) Of course, Biden and his bunch have just followed suit while he puts thousands out of work and destroys the energy industry.

I could provide a list of others, but I believe I have established my pattern.

It is Different Now

I guess a few years ago I wrote a post about people lining up on the border and just walking north. If they had guns, it would be considered an act of war.

It’s different now. Guess what? They now have guns!!! and they are using them.

BUILD THE WALL!!

Impartial Judge

Now let me see. From what I understand, Patrick Leahy will be the unbiased judge during the impeachment trial. Now how is that going to work, being as he has already announced to the entire world that he is convinced that the former president is guilty, long before all the fact are known?

Then, of course, once the trial is over, he is supposed to leave the bench and assume the role of unbiased juror. Speak about twisted justice… At best, if the man is going to sit on the bench, he ought not sit in the juror seat… or visa-versa. It is just not right for one man to sit as both judge and juror. It is not the way the system is supposed to work. I suspect if it came down to it, he would also serve as prosecutor. That position, however is already full.

Then again, they are dummycrats. They can make anything work, legal or not, right or not. It’s all a staged show anyway. They are go through the motions as in a kangaroo trial. It would all be a funny joke if it weren’t so serious. This will have lasting effects on our system.

However, the fact is, it tells for more about the dems than about President Trump. Who else would stand the whole system on its head to make things work the way they want it to.

By the way, for those unable to figure it out on your own, Leahy will neither be an impartial judge or juror. It makes a mockery of the system and, in truth, by itself, nullifies the verdict.

I Don’t Understand It

All those “go green” folks insisted on closing the pipeline. And so it is. Biden did it with the stroke of the pen.

However, take note, the oil is still shipped. It is shipped by truck, by train and by ship. Nothing is different. They never stopped one drop from going anywhere. Worse, some of those trucks will be in accidents. Occasionally, even the trains have derailments. (boy do they have derailments and people suffer for miles around.) Moreover, by shipping the old way, far more energy is consumed in moving it. The pipeline would have been far safer.

I have to assume it was never about green. Obviously something else is involved.

I suppose it might have been about Trump. Biden might have shut the pipeline down just to spite Trump. Now that would be a really good reason to put thousands of people out of work in the middle of a downturn in employment.

At least he could have thought it through. Just maybe he could have found jobs for the men working on the pipeline before he shut the thing down. Then again, that would make sense. Can’t expect him to think about things like that. Bottom line, I think he has made a few enemies and I don’t think they will forget it either. When people go from a 100-200 thousand dollar incomes to going on food stamps, they have a tendency to remember such things.

It’s for the Kids?

I have heard the plea a thousand times. Okay. I exaggerate a tad. Just nine hundred. “It’s for the kids.” By the way, when you hear that, it’s time to grab hold your wallet. They are after your money, the end of which has little if anything to do with the kids.

In this case however, it is a little different. It really is for the sake of the kids. It is time for them to go back to school. Unfortunately, what they are saying this time is, ” Ignore the kids; it’s for the teachers. So the teachers and the kids stay home and, by the way, they are still paying the teachers. I can’t figure what side of it Biden is on, the side of the teacher unions. I don’t think that that press secretary of his can figure it out either.

Tell me how that benefits the kids.

Maybe we should close the education unions and open the schools.

A Title Wave

As Biden started opening up the border, I tried so hard to think of a good analogy. Well, maybe I have one. I do find it interesting that he shut out all the folks on flight from outside the US without a test and quarantine while he permits all the illegals to flow in without concern.

It did remind me of a man who just shut off the facet valve while ignoring the tidal wave on the way. I mean it is a good thing to shut off the valve. He cuts down on water usage and it does decrease the water flow into the area somewhat. However, he just might wished he had built a big sea wall before that tidal wave hit.

Now, you see he turned off the spigot at the airports, cutting off the trickle. On the other hand, he has ignored the border allowing the onslaught of the wave of sick sick aliens. When all is said and done, there just might be a few folks asking him why he did that…especially when the covid19 spreads throughout the country from the border you left insecure — intentionally. I mean isn’t he the one who was going to solve the virus problem?

Fear the Lord

It is good advice but I was not the one who originated it. Proverbs 1:7 “The Fear of the lord is the beginning of wisdom, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

So we listen to the dummycrats who try to tell us they know all things, yet they despise wisdom, instruction and, I might add, the Lord. It just might tell us where their wisdom comes from but I’ll let you form your own conclusion.

By the way, it might also help explain this mess this country is in. So many say that this is a God fearing country. I look around and I don’t see many God fearing people. I would suspect you don’t know see many either, that is, unless you are a preacher. Even then, most preachers readily admit that many who say they are God fearing, aren’t
