Wouldn’t it be Nice

Lately, with all that is going on, I started thinking about how nice it would be if things were a little different. Such as:

  1. Wouldn’t be nice if we could live in a place where there were no thieves, no murderers?
  2. Wouldn’t it be nice if we were in a place without bullies?
  3. The farmer may think, “Wouldn’t it be nice if I could just grow my crops and the politicians would just leave me alone. For that matter, it would be a little nice if the rain at the right time, and not to much.
  4. The woman may wish for a place where she could go from point A to point B without being in fear of being assaulted on the way.
  5. The soldier might think, “Wouldn’t it be nice if we could live in a world without war?”
  6. Wouldn’t it be nice to live in a world without the need for lawyers and judges?
  7. Wouldn’t it be nice to live in world without cruel and inhumane leaders, like Putin and Xi? Wouldn’t it be nice to be in a world without dictators, such as Mussolini, Hitler, Stalin, etc?
  8. Wouldn’t it be nice if we lived in a world without growing old, or sick, or feeble of mind?
  9. Wouldn’t it be nice to live in a world without cancer, A.L.S. or any other such thing?
  10. Wouldn’t it be nice to live in a world without starvation or lack of water?
  11. To be sure, it would be nice to live in a world without death, ours or our loved ones.
  12. Then, of course, wouldn’t it be nice to live in a world without fear, from man, beast, weather or earthquake.

For sure, such a place does not exist. Well, to some degree, it does exist in the minds of communists partially. They have no cure for disease, but they want to turn the world into the perfect place on earth and they are willing to lie, deceive and kill anyone and everyone in their way.

In fact, they justify lying, cheating, killing – even to the point of mass murder to reach their goals. Then, they will have their perfect world, as long as they get to run it the way they want to. (I think that is called a dictatorship)

At any rate, it is nice to know there is such a place. To be sure, God makes sure of it. He will not allow such people in, which does create a dilemma. If no such people (1st. Corr. 6:9 & 10) will have access to the place he created, what good will it do any of us. I know I can’t go. I have told a lie or two. I have even stolen a few things. Sometimes I have gotten nearly angry enough to kill, which would disallow me. Then again, I have an inside track. I know Jesus. He is my savior.

Actually, none of us can goes to heaven based on what we have done and not done. Sorry. We can’t make it. It is impossible. God will not let people into heaven who is a sinner.

First let me digress. If such a place exists and it does, then it would no longer be perfect if God were to allow one person who told one lye into the place. Certainly, it would not exist, if God would allow a killer or thief in.

There in lies the paradox. God creates heaven, and then, if he lets anyone in, it is no longer heaven.

Therefore, He came up with a solution, one that only He can. When we accept Jesus as our savior, He changes us. He immediately changes us so that we through Jesus can enter His Kingdom. He continues to change us, making us better day by day, week by week. Finally, when we die, He changes us so that we become as Jesus, no sin nor the desire to sin.

When we enter his kingdom, there is no more war, no more stealing, no more killing, no more death, and no more pain.

Note: the way to heaven is through Jesus, not communism. And that will be nice…forever, but only if you accept Jesus as your savior and Lord. If you haven’t done that maybe you should now…before you find yourself, in the other place, forever, without God and in constant pain. And, also, wishing you did accept Jesus. The memory just might have gone to heaven just might be nearly as pad as the pain.

What’s the Difference?

I’m standing in line with my buggy full of groceries. A man walks up behind me with one thing in each hand. I told the man to go ahead. He’s not going to slow me down. By the time I get my things on the conveyor belt, he will be checked out.

Before I realized it, he left a hundred dollars in cash toward my groceries. Honest. I tried to stop him but he was gone. So, my grocery bill ended up being 7 dollars and change.

To this day, I cannot imagine a reason behind what he did. Certainly, the savings in time was not that much to him. I must simply mark this one up as me encountering an incredible generous man. I truly hope that God took note of that and provided him with a reward.

On the other hand, you have people such as Hitler, Mao, Stalin and Putin. Just what’s the difference? What causes one man to be so kind and generous and another ruthless and selfish? One man is kind and easy to get along with, while another will kill at the drop of the hat.

It is a question that has puzzled me over the years, almost 3/4 of a century. I am not going to pretend I know. There are some that are so foolish as to pretend they have the answer. They call some of them psychologists and some of them psychiatrist.

Some will say it is their environment, the way they are taught from their youth. Others say it is inherited. Of course they are both right; they are both wrong and both are also completely astray.

Some partial answers come from the Bible. But then the Bible also produces more questions, ones for which I haven’t an answer, not a clue. Let’s take for instance Cain and Able, the sons of Adam and Eve. They were both born of the same parents and they were both brought up under the best possible environment. Yet, one pleased God and the other became a murderer. On top of that, he had the stupidity of trying to hide it from God.

I assure you, no psychologist will ever explain that to my satisfaction. Then some time later, twins are born of Izaak. One goes on to please God, the other not. Again same parents, same environment. To be sure, one was preferred by the mother, the other by the father. Still, later, it is recorded that God hated Esau. It is not an explanation, just an observation.

In one place in the Bible, it says that we must each answer for our own sins. Then, in another, God says that He will visit the sins of the fathers, I think, to the 7th generation. In Revelation, it is written that we will all be judged individually, yet, we are also told that sin is inherited. That is to say, we sin because it is inherited from our parents and originally from Adam.

So, in parts of the Bible, it would seem we are judged from inheritance, in others, because of our training. There is but one thing I can positively bring away from it all. We are all individuals with free wills. We are all judged as a result of our decisions, not the decisions of our ancestors.

Based on this, things do not look so good for Putin. One day he will face God as we all will. The same is true for Hitler, Stalin, Mao, etc. I guess at that judgement day, it will make the difference. Still, I really wished I could understand it. Did Putin have a bad environment or was it inherited. Did Hitler murder 6 million Jews because of the way one treated him one day. Maybe it was just faulty reasoning. This side of eternity, we will never know.

However, there is one thing we do know. Such horrible people have existed from the beginning and they will remain until Jesus returns. All we can hope to do is identify them and try to keep them from ruling the world, or just part of it.

Red Herring

I decided to look up the word to make sure I have been using it right. One meaning has to do with smoked fish. The other somewhat has to do with deception. The following words are are considered to mean the same or nearly the same thing as the second meaning.

Ruse, blind, feint, deception, subterfuge, hoax, smokescreen, trick, ploy, sham, pretense, and distraction.

Whenever anyone representing Joe says that there are 9,000 leases already approved, we can honestly, say that every one of the above words applies, especially ruse, deception, hoax and smokescreen. Their purpose is to hide the truth and deceive. It is all part of a big hoax. Bottom line, it is dishonest.

Then again why should anyone expect anything else from any FOC, especially ol’ Joe.

Many of those leases have no oil. Anyone who would do the research would know it is sort dumb to drill where there is no oil. Moreover, the FOCs have been blocking the oil people every place they are able using super red tape.

In essence, the FOCs have declared war on oil long before Joe took office. They prefer to buy the oil from enemies and terrorist than to pump it out from under our own feet. There is but one reason I can think of for that. They are also friends of the enemy as well as the criminals.

Can anyone give me another reason?

Speaking of criminals, anyone see hide nor hair of that criminal #1, Fauci. He seems to be hiding these days. Maybe he is getting ready to take off for China, where I am sure they will richly reward him.

I Have Decided to Do My Part

According to those in the Biden WH, we should do our part to save on energy usage. My first thought was “Forget it!”

Then I had second thoughts. I have a fantastic idea on how I can do my part. All I need do is go out and buy a horse and buggy. Being as I am retired, I could use it for 80 to 90% of my travel and my use the car for the rest.

Actually, better yet, I could sell my car and just rent an auto when I need it. It might save me a dollar or two.

Wait a minute. What am I thinking of? I can’t get a horse. I think they have laws against that sort of thing here in the city.

Oh, well. Guess I’ll have to settle on my car, at least until they change the law. And I would really like to get a horse. I like horses . It’s maybe better anyway. I’ve kinda gotten used to air conditioning and I don’t think I can put one on a buggy. The extension cord would be too long.

2 Things About a Bully

There are many things that people say about bullies in general. They are mean, inconsiderate, generally big, and they generally have big egos.

However, there are two things that are true about all bullies. They always bully people they perceive as being weaker than themselves. Moreover, they persist until someone successfully stands up to them.

There is no doubt that Putin qualifies as one. Though week, his ego is fed by his office. Through his office, he also meets many other descriptions of bullies.

However, though some don’t think of him as meeting the description of a bully, Joe does always back away from the strong and causes the weak grief. Moreover, his ego grows bigger by the day. If he were removed from office, his ego would take a dive. Currently, he is surrounded by those building his ego. If he were to lose his job, he would be crushed.

May I remind one and all, right now, the bully who is not backing down is Putin. I guess that means Joe is the weaker bully.

When it Ain’t Broke….

It is an old saying and well worth remembering and repeating…When it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Apparently, Joe didn’t get his copy.

The day he took his oath, nothing was broken but Joe decided to start fixing things. Now he’s not only broke the thins here in the USA he’s grossly messed up things all over the planet…and he did it in a little over a year.

Now people are suffering and dying. Guess he’s really proud of himself. He now has the world on the brink of utter nuclear destruction. Joe just might want his folks check his fallout shelter. That way, he just might survive to realize what he did.

`nough Said

When Biden first took his oath, gas was less than $2.00 a gallon. Now it is $4.15. It’s likely gonna go up another dollar or two. ‘Nough said.

When Joe took over, things were relatively peaceful and secure. Now, not so much. People, children are dying. Joe don’t care. According to him the most dangerous thing is climate change.

But then the climate change thing’s a lie. Getting oil from the former soviets causes far more pollution. Then his problem with drilling here in the US is that gas prices and pollution would go down, disproving Joe’s narrative.

As an aside, there’s a whole bunch of pollution being generated by that war over there. If pollution were really their concern, they would stop that war. One bomb can produce a bunch of smoke, aka pollution. And that doesn’t even take into account all the fire and smoke post explosion.

Dumber Than Dirt, Figuratively

I like Jen Psaki. I do. I have the feeling that we could actually carry on a reasonable conversation face to face. Moreover, I realize that her job is to protect her brainless boss. However, this time she just went over the line.

When asked if starting up the pipeline would help relieve the oil shortage faster than going green, she calmly replied, “No.”

Now, let’s see. The pipeline would relieve the oil shortage in what? 4 or 5 months. Going green? Maybe 30; maybe 40 years. Possibly never.

That either makes her dumber than dirt or a person who tells big fat ones. I prefer to think she’s lying. If not that makes the woman less intelligent than the pet rocks I spoke of in an earlier post.

Then again, she just might prefer to pay for Putin’s war by buying oil that pollutes far far more than Canadian oil. Might it be possible that she, her boss and her friends are far more friendly with the Russians than they accused of President Trump.

Then again, it just might be all of the above.

The Unintended Consequence

Putin had the idea of taking over Ukraine. However, his efforts have made two facts clear. He is a very bad general and the leader of Ukraine is very likely the best leader holding office on this earth these days.

If Putin should succeed at killing Zelenskyy, he might realize it to be his worst mistake. The man might die but his influence will far outlast Putin and any potential legacy he might have ever had.

Zelenskyy will be remembered for his courage and leadership. Putin will be remembered for his cowardice and ruthlessness, as with all bullies.

By the way. One more thing. Zelenskyy just might outlive Putin. I’m sure that would be just fine with most of us.

Credits & Responsibilities

I did watch a few small parts of the state of the union. It was all I could stomach. The current occupier of the Oval Office was taking credit for what President Trump did, and refusing to take responsibility for all the disasters and death he authored.

This is a quick reminder of some of what he is responsible for.

  1. Loss of jobs, especially those lost in the oil industry the day he took his oath. And by the way, also the day he began ignoring that oath.
  2. The loss of 90,000 lives to due to drugs imported over his open border.
  3. No one, even Joe can honestly deny the disasters in Afghanistan at his hand. By the way, you will note, he did not mention any part of it during his speech, which will likely be little remembered. I suspect Afghanistan is one event he trying his best to forget.
  4. He took total credit for all that President Trump did to fight the China virus while trying implicate his predecessor in its rapid spread. Then he immediately began making it worse.

I’m sure many are well able to add a few points I left out. Let’s face it, if Joe gets his way, the future state of the union is very questionable. It seems a good reason to keep him from having his way. At the least, let’s give him a strongly republican congress so he will be on a short leash. Also, by the way, they just might undo some of the disasters Joe caused. Unfortunately, no one but the Lord can do anything about the lives his decisions cost.
