Socialism is Older Than the U.S.A.

Though many will not believe me, it is true. When the Mayflower landed, they tried socialism, though it isn’t what it was called. If you believe me not Google “Pilgrim socialism.” As far as I know, the Pilgrims were the first to try socialism and they almost died because of it. They likely would have if they hadn’t changed their ways.

Over the years, many others tried it. There was even anther attempt at it in the US before autos came along. It failed too. There was a lot of hoopla as they started setting things up. Then, as usual, people found out they could get food without working for it. Others found out they were carrying the load while others remained idle. Those who worked left, which left nothing but the freeloaders that socialism encourages. It didn’t last but a few years.

It is something of an advantage of our country. Individual groups, cities and even states can try things. If it fails, the nation remains. If such a bad plan is attempted nationwide, it could mean the fall of the nation.

I guess it is what we can say today about NY, NY and California. They have tried socialism and it is failing horribly. And so it is that people are leaving and going elsewhere as fast as they can pack up and find a U-Haul. Those that remain are ether not able to leave, or they are the freeloaders. The first time since California became a state, it has lost population in the census. That is something, considering they have the best weather in the country, as well as the biggest trees and some right sizable mountains. By the way, the state also has a sizable shoreline too. And, naturally, who would want to leave Disneyland behind.

Actually, it was tried in Russia too. Guess what, they went bankrupt. It was only because of aid from the US that they didn’t just almost starve to death before it all got started. Also, without our help, Germany just might have incorporated them into the German nation. Remember your history, Hitler’s army was withing miles of Moscow.

Hitler didn’t like the communists in case you didn’t know that. Even before he consolidated power within Germany, he had his skirmishes with them. As for why he didn’t like them? My best guess was that they were competition for control of the country… and for the world. I doubt that politics really figured into it, but it made something of a story to sell to his countrymen.

Actually, both communism and Nazism are very similar. They are both a form of socialism. They just had different names and different leaders. None-the-less, Hitler drove the communists from Germany and established his rule. Then, he went about trying to expand it. Actually, it was the same thing that Lenin and Stalin did a few years earlier in Russia.

In both cases, the socialism was not the goal but rather it was for control, the dictatorship. There never was a real socialism and there would have never been one. IF he tried to set a true socialism up, Hitler would have failed before he began.

However, throughout the world, there were the idealists. Many of them were from Russia; many from Germany. Before the Second World War, there were Russian and German sympathizers in the US. Some were trying to get us to help Russia. The others were trying to get us to help Germany. I don’t guess too many realize that right up until Peal Harbor, we were selling things to Germany.

Why in the world would a good country like the US do something like that? Well, as I said, there were those sympathizers. However, mostly it wasn’t so idealistic. The big corporations loved the money. By the way, we were also doing a whole lot of business with Japan too. (Sound familiar. We are doing an awful lot of business with China today, to my dismay.)

When war broke out, many of the German sympathizers were rounded up by the FBI. Others remained but were afraid to do much public sympathizing. However, the communists remained to operate clandestinely.

So, while we fought one socialist dictatorship, we helped another dictatorship. We had Soviet agents within the US waiting for their chance. At the end of the war, they took advantage of that chance. Many today look down on Sen. Joseph McCarthy, but he really did do this nation a lot of good. Sometimes he did go a little to the extreme, but we just might have become another one of those nations that tried communism under the rule of the USSR had he not done what he did.

In truth he did find many agents. He did help to clear our armed forces and defense contractors of foreign agents. To be sure, he awakened us to what was going on. Afterword, the word communism left a bad taste in the mouths of most Americans. This was enhanced with the USSR setting off their first atom bomb. The Soviets became a nation to fear. Then they started their new expansions into China and eastern Europe. Without hesitation, they killed with no reason anywhere they could. It was the vicious side of the “Reds” as they got to be know. Then, to cap it all off, Khrushchev stood in the UN and said, “We will bury you,” speaking of the US. He meant it. The plans were in place before WWII. He said that he would take us over without firing a shot. Folks, he meant every word of it. Today, many don’t remember. Many were not around to see it.

We fought two wars to stop it, Korea and Vietnam. Many of our men died, not so many of theirs. Mostly, it was their sergeants who gave their blood for the cause of the Soviets.

Again, they had no real interest in communism, nor did they have any interest in politics in general. They had but one goal, to spread the Soviet Union to include the entire world. And of course, they would be the leaders of the world. They would have all the power, and likely they would fight among themselves.

World rule is older than socialism. It began back before Egypt and Babylon. Soon Jesus will return for His church. After the rapture, there will not be so much as one Christian left on earth. Just think of what kind of world that will be.

Those Christians today who the world treats so badly and whom they scoff are helping to keep this world bearable. One day soon, they’ll be gone. Do you really want to see a world like that? Do you really want to see a world where the ungodly are allowed to rule and run free without restraint.

In the meantime, let’s try to restrain those who like socialism, globalism and total control by those who are power hungry, by those who kill without hesitation. If they preach socialism, remember this, what they really want is total power.

A Question for the Local Media

I heard a remark on a local network. What I heard from the anchor woman was that the parents of The Covenant School wanted gun legislation. I have a question. Was there a pole taken, or did they just ask the ones that showed up to demonstrate. I guess I do have another question. Is she the official spokes person for those parents. Does she really know what she said is true or is it an assumption based on the few parents that did complain.

Actually, I guess it is possible that the so-called parents aren’t even parents at the school. Has anyone even asked. Has anyone checked. They could be simply professional demonstrators. Being as the news woman is likely a democrat, she surely knows that this is probable. She very likely saw it before.

I don’t like so-called reporters making reports without actually checking to see if it’s true. It’s exactly how Russia, Russia started. It is the way lies are told and rumors are spread.

I also have a small question for the parents of the school. If you are reading this, could you please leave a short reply in the remarks. It is just possible you don’t like the woman misrepresenting you. Then, by all means, if you do agree with reporter, I’d really like to know that too. Unlike some, I do not like to make assumptions or spread lies.

A Difficult Question

Daily writing prompt
What TV shows did you watch as a kid?

I was born in 1947. It was not that long after the TV started becoming prominent in the homes. Now I am supposed to remember TV when I was 5 and 6? Well, actually, I do remember a few shows. Oddly, Amos and Andy was one of them. The whole family loved it. I even remember a few of the characters, a couple of their names. If you ask me to say something about any specific story plots, forget it.

Once I was half way through my sixth year, I remember a few more. Superman, Bennie and Cecil the seasick sea serpent. Of course I watched Superman. I think about every kid back then wouldn’t miss the show. I was one of those kids running around with a towel hanging off my neck and pretending to fly.

I guess Disneyland was one of my favorites. I remember very well each of the three part series of Davey Crockett. I also remember the theme song remained on the Hit Parade for, well it seemed months. I got the impression that those who had to sing the song each week got tired of coming up with new ways to present it. (if you don’t know of what I speak, Google “Your Hit Parade”)

But Disneyland wasn’t tied down to just one thing. There were the nature shows, the cartoons, Peter Pan and who knows what all. It really wasn’t like just one show. It seemed a little different each week and we all made sure to watch it.

Cartoons were prevalent. About 4 or 5 everyday, there were a bunch of them, Popeye, Felix the Cat. Sorry, just can’t remember them all. None of them were the likes of Spungebob Square Pants. I have no idea what kids today see in that thing.

Saturday morning was the best time for cartoons. There was Mighty Mouse, a variety of cartoons from Warner Brothers. Loved Speedy Gonzalez. Really got upset when they started targeting him because he was seen as racial. Roadrunner was and is one of my favorites. That poor coyote just couldn’t ever win. So many times, he ended up splatting at the bottom of that canyon. Loved those expressions those artist put on that poor guy when he realized he’d been had again. Then there was Tweedy Bird and Sylvester. Who would ever think such a small little bird could always cause such damage to that that big bad kitty cat.

As I aged a little, my interests turned to the westerns. Must have been dozens of them, most by Warner Brothers. The later ones, Gunsmoke, High Chaparral and Bonanza just never had my interest much. I mean they were dramas that were placed in the old west days, but they were not real westerns. I mean most of the plots would have fit right in today, with a few minor changes. By the way, don’t much care for most dramas, modern, ancient, or western. Have to hand it to that composer though; the one who wrote the Bonanza. It’s a great piece of music.

The others in the family liked Bonanza but when it came on, I generally found something else to do.

Finally, there was the private eye era. 77 sunset strip, Hawaiian Eye and so forth. Sorry. Just can’t remember them all. It did seem there were a couple on each of the networks.

I guess the private eye thing continued on to this day but it’s not nearly the same. It seems every time they come up with a good genera they just can’t wait to ruin it. I mean, the purpose of the show is entertainment. It really isn’t so good if it doesn’t entertain, regardless of what Hollywood or the critics think.

Consider, who would have ever considered a movie about a suave British agent doing the impossible with ridiculous gadgets? But it succeeded to the point it was copied, even on TV. Remember Man From Uncle and Get Smart? If you are less than 30, maybe not.

It seems that, these days, the folks producing shows are more interested in furthering the liberal agenda. If they entertain someone, it is totally by accident.

My Two Favorite Nuts

It is an oddity, of sorts. The two nuts I like the very most, aren’t nuts, or so I’m told. The peanut is a legume. Never heard of legumes until a couple of decades ago. I can easily sit down and eat a couple of pounds in one sitting.

Then about two or three years ago, some one spoiled it for me for cashews. All the time I have been eating them and then they spoil it for me. They said cashews aren’t nuts either. I think of all nuts, or should I say of all not-nuts cashews are my favorite. It is a good thing they cost so much. I would make myself sick on them very regularly.

They, along with the real nuts are really very healthy. That means they are good for you. Don’t let the kids find out. Because of the fiber in them, they are very good for digestion. It’s true. The last few months, I have taken to eating them, a lot of them.

Since I was thirty-ish I have had problems with digestion. I have paid many doctors a lot of good money to help me. It didn’t work. There are some things doctors know not. Now, since I have been eating the non-nut nuts, I have been doing much better, thank you. I sure wished one of those doctors told me about nuts a long time ago.

Of course, not everyone can eat peanuts or cashews. I am told as many as 20 percent of people are allergic to them to some degree. That is a true shame because the non-nuts are good and they good for a person, I mean, even besides the fiber thing. They are good about helping with circulation and they keep cholesterol low. Though cashews are an expensive food, they are less expensive than a heart attack or stroke. I wish I knew about them before my heart attack.

I buy at least two bags of peanuts and a couple of cans of cashews now every time I go shopping. I buy the peanuts still in the shell. I’ve gotten pretty good at shelling them. It gives me something to do while watching TV. I try to put the shell in a container, but many end up in my lap or on the floor. That means cleaning up after.

I guess it’s been a couple of decades ago, I drove south to the Gulf. By the time I reached Jackson, I started noticing signs, “Boiled Peanuts.” I had two thoughts, “You can boil peanuts?” and “What in the world do they taste like?” Well, I guess I did have one more thought, “Do I want to find out?”

I thought the thought revolting. I couldn’t imagine people ruining perfectly good peanuts and I certainly couldn’t imagine anyone would actually to pay for them. I mean, who wants to pay good money for a bunch of ruined peanuts?

Well, I guess there are a few folks who like to eat their legumes that way. Otherwise, why would anyone be selling them. I still have one more question. Are they boiled in or out of the shell? After all, anyone can boil nuts. It does, however, seem to be a thing a person should find out before they start heating the water.

Some People Are So Gullible They Believe Anyone

You take for instance the idle worshiper. He actually feels that that rock is going to help him. He goes to it for advice consolation and of course in offering of gifts.

On the other hand, there are those who believe the government (AKA democrats) will take care of all their needs. Oddly, some feel that it is all owed to them. All they have to do is keep those dems in office and all will go well. Hence, they will do lie, cheat and defraud to insure that they have Big brother in there to provide for them their handout. For those that have some reasoning left, that only lasts until they have their dictatorship set up. Then it will be the dems who will be doing all the receiving. Those that voted them in will have absolutely no say, no money, no food, and, of course, no medical.

It does all seem to be sort of the same thing. However, the fact is that the rock might be more helpful. It isn’t trying to control what you do, what you say or what you think, which is the desire of the dems.

Lest anyone get the wrong idea that I am encouraging rock worship, I am just saying, rocks are less dangerous. They have no desire to take over and rule the world, like Lenin, like Mao, and yes, like Hitler.

Some People Like Noise

Don’t know why but it is so true. When I had my BMW motorcycle, I liked the smooth quiet ride. In fact there were times it was just a bit too quiet. I’d pull up to a light and I reached down and touch the head just to make sure it was still running.

On the other hand, you have those that like the sound of a Harley Davidson. Some will actually put non-standard parts on them just so we can hear them as they go by. Well, actually we hear them as they approach and long after they leave.

It is the same as with cars. It sometime put the policeman in something of a quandary. He knows that hot rod is far too noisy to be legal but just how does he prove it. Many times, he lets it go for that reason. I guess all police should carry a device around with them that can measure the noise, but that is difficult.

Then you have the man who likes his Cadillac that just purrs silently along. Then again, it has the horses that are, what’s the word, silently standing by in case they are called upon. I guess we could call the power understated, though I’m not sure that’s the right expression either.

Although I can understand the man that enjoys the throaty sound of the big Harley engine, I’m kind of one of those that would just as soon not have to listen to it. I suppose there is a safety factor to it. If I hear the motor coming, I am more likely to know it’s there. I mean, if you can’t see that Harley in your blind spot, the noise can make a real difference.

One day I saw an article that all electric cars ought to be required to make some noise, for the blind pedestrian. The idea was, the blind person, if he hears the motor is less likely to step out in front of the car.

During the test drive of my electric, my timing was off. I was trying to get on the Interstate just as four cars were approaching in the right lane. Well, I hit the brake and decided to wait for the cars to go by. That courteous driver slowed, opening up a spot in front of him. That was nice of him but I was only doing about 30.

I guess that gave me a reason to step on it and see what it would do. Frankly, it was one of the reasons I bought the car. It took off like a shot, almost scared me. However, it made not one noise. I was expecting something. You know, even the Cadillacs make some noise when you step on them. I don’t know about Rolls Royces. Never did see one when the driver stepped on it. Certainly, even it would at least whisper.

With that Nissan, not a sound but the wind going by and the tires on the road. Not much of that. It was kind of like with the old BMW motorcycle. Other than the fact that it pinned my wife to the back seat, you’d not know there were any horses there.

By the way, there was no hesitation. Most cars would take a short time to drop down into passing gear when you gun them. I stomped on he accelerator and it accelerated, instantly.

I would suspect that, even if all else were equal, there are those who would not want an electric car. I mean, some folks just have to have the noise. In the future, somewhere along the line, maybe loud noise could be added to electric cars as an option, for those that just have to have the noise.

Let’s Get it Straight, Please

I was watching a show tonight about Germany and Hitler during WWII. The narrator, who was likely just reading what was in front of him, stated that Hitler killed more than anyone else. Not only is this not true, but it really does make a knowledgeable person doubt the integrity of anything else in the show.

Even before I got to my trusty little computer, I knew that it was radically wrong. I mean, it is not even close.

According to the internet which is always right, one way or the other Lenin killed about 8 million. Moreover, he contributed to many more deaths by chasing Jews into Germany and Poland. Stalin killed his 9 million. Let me add, it is likely far more killed because, well, back in 1917 and 1918 they didn’t really keep an accurate records in Russia. Truth be told, the two so-called communists likely killed about 25% more. Had the US not intervened, the death toll would have been far more from starvation. Word is they threw the farmers off their farms or killed them. Then, with no farmers, they about all died of starvation.

During WWII, the Imperial Japanese Army maimed, raped and pillaged through China and Burma. I would suspect there is no telling how many died during that time. However, the historians say that they killed 3 to 10 million. My guess, closer to 10.

Pol Pot of Cambodia killed an estimated 2 to 2.5 million…in far less time than what it took Hitler. My guess is a few months. Sorry, just going by memory and the news of the day.

After South Vietnam fell, approximately 0.5 to 1.5 million died in just a couple of weeks. I would like to write that it was totally because of Ho Chi Minh, but I can’t. The peace demonstrators in this country had a big part in his aid… I suspect intentionally. I am sure they are proud of themselves for that.

I have saved the worst for last, the one the historians call “The greatest murderer in all history.” Actually, no one else comes close. Mao is attributed somewhere around 40 million people, and, by the way, he did it in far less time than it took Hitler. Moreover, his efforts contributed to the loss of life in Vietnam, Cambodia and Korea.

Now, let me see, just how does the 40 million compare to the 6 million of Hitler. It is easy to see, the media does have a bias. They really don’t like bringing up the atrocities of those calling themselves communists, especially when it is just another way to deceive and form another dictatorship. Russia nor China never did, never will have a communist country. Russia was and is dictatorship and China is to this day some folks on the top dictating to the others what to do, say and think.

I would hope, now that this has been pointed out, you will watch for this thing and give the speaker proper doubt. He is demonstrating just how little he knows and how much he likes a so-called communist dictatorship.

Humacite

I am adding the above word ( the name of a cooperation) to my spelling dictionary. It is very likely to be seen a lot. I just happened to see a segment on FOX News Sunday that spoke briefly on it. I thought I might have misunderstood it. They are still doing studies on it in the US. In Ukraine, the doctors are already using it to replace arteries damaged by war. And guess what. It’s working and working well.

This is a big step in medicine. When these things are approved, vessels will no longer need to be harvested in other parts of the body for heart bypasses. If it all works out, that is good and it is good. Not only can they leave the vessels in the leg but the arteries they put in will be effectively new. They will likely hold up better and the blood will flow through them better.

In addition, it will allow the replacement of bad arteries in the legs. I don’t know. Maybe the veins too. Just a guess, but they just might be able to replace bad vessels in the neck going to and from the brain. That might help the thinking process.

They have been working on these things for a while now. Where have I been that I never heard about it before.

There is another aspect of it, though I suspect it is a long way away. Just maybe they can make parts of organs using the same methods. Those to first benefit would likely be diabetics, especially type I. If I’m not missing my guess though, they might already be experimenting on it.
