Deflection is Admission

Old Joe is in affect admitting Hunter is guilty. When he says, whatever he did I had nothing to do with it he is saying he does not want to be associated with it. It is the classic, “I know nothing,” defense. If what Hunter did was good and legal, Old Joe would not need a deflection defense. On the other hand, every time his press secretary is asked, it is the defense that is deployed. Indeed, it is the defense used now for years, even while he was still vice president.

If his son did nothing wrong, why should Old Joe want to keep him at arm’s distance, and perhaps a bit more. I submit that Hunter did do something wrong, and Old Joe knows it. He is doing all he can to distance himself from his son for as long as he can. He knows in the end, they will both be found out. It just is that it would be better next next week, or next year. Certainly not now. Certainly not before the elections. Too much money at stake. Too much power at stake.

Besides, if he can get away with it until after the election; if he can win the presidency one more time, it won’t matter. He will have secured his position as dictator and no one will accuse him of anything. It will be the time for his minions to solidify their position by eliminating the opposition by any means necessary. In some cases quietly in courtrooms. In some cases, violently in the streets.

Not Quite so Fast, Hunter

Not quite so fast, Hunter. It’s not over yet. I suspect he wasn’t the only one who swallowed hard when they found out what happened. Indeed, there are meetings being held among the dems today, tonight and probably tomorrow. Looks like maybe they need a new strategy.

Remember now. As I said, Hunter likely has the pressure on Old Joe. My best guess is that he told dear old dad that if he was going to jail then so was he. Even so, I suspect Old Joe ain’t sweaten it. I mean, before he starts sweating it, someone is going to have to explain it so he understands it.

Still, those puppeteers are likely sweating a little. Someone just might figure out what they are doing and they know they just might get in trouble for it.

Actually, they have nothing to worry about. Dems can get away with anything. I used to think that was not true until I saw what all the Clintons got away with. I just shook my head and said, they broke the justice system and I don’t know as it will ever get fixed.

On the other hand, you just have to know that Kamala is salivating a little, maybe a lot.

The Odds

I’m not a big fan of math. It just is that when a person plans to go into a career as electronics, it is essential. I mean ohm’s law, the calculations of impedance and such all uses math. It even gets into calculus a little when dealing with vectors and such.

However, math is used in a wide range of other things. Certainly, it is used in physics and chemistry. When packing the aircraft during the Berlin air lift, they even came up with a new math, to make sure all aircraft were loaded to the max both weight and space.

One branch of math that is not talked about too much are the laws of probability. Some of this stuff can make an insane man normal. For instance, you toss a penny 100 times and the laws of probability tells us that it will likely land on tails and heads equally, or at least nearly equally. Of course, the more times you toss the penny, the more apt that the heads and tails will be equal.

Yet, those who specialize in studying odds tell us that, even should we end with tails 80 out of a hundred times, the chances of it coming up heads is still 50%. (either that or there’s something wrong with the penny)

Then there is a special branch of odds within math. These mathematicians try to know the odds are that you will live to a certain age. I’m not sure, but I think most of them work for the insurance company.

Just so you don’t get the wrong idea, I am not an expert in this field. However, I do have a broad idea about it all. For instance, the odds of me living past 72 are pretty small. Some die earlier. Some manage to beat the odds and live past a hundred.

Oddly, so far I have beat those odds. I spent one year in a war zone. I rode a motorcycle for over two years. Believe it or not, for a large part of my life, no one wore seat belts. The first couple of cars I owned didn’t even have them. Then, for quite a while after, we still didn’t wear them.

I don’t know how I made it through those years, but I did. On the other side of the coin, something could happen and I’d be gone tomorrow. When I was in the Marines, I saw a twenty year old marine die as he was walking along. The doc said he was dead before he hit the ground. Now, you talk about being against the odds. That shouldn’t have happened. I really wished it hadn’t

At any rate, things like that have a tendency to tip the mortality tables a little. On the other hand, something else that will tip the mortality tables is playing with guns. I saw that too. The guy was playing quick draw with a .38. For those unaware, it is a worse practice than going without seat belts.

I bought the new all electric car. All the mortality charts likely say I won’t live the seven years to pay the car off. If I do, I’ll be eighty and I might not be able to drive it. As a financially responsible, person, I need to make sure the car will be paid for should I die. I’m sort of in that boat now. On the other hand, maybe I ought to go back to work.

Actually, I would enjoy working three days a work. Unfortunately, I might not be able to. I don’t know if anyone will hire an old man to flip hamburgers or mop floors. It would be better if people would help me out by buying my books. (hint, hint)

This side of seventy, I’ve sort of been doing some thinking, as dangerous as that may sound. Those people who study the mortality really have their hands full. When a person is born, they calculate just what his chances are of reaching my age. Not only that, they try to determine the cause of death. Will it be disease, accident, murder, or maybe peanuts. No way of knowing but they still guess. Every year they release figures that tell you what what your chances are of dying of a shark attack. Then, of course we stop eating red meat or drinking things with artificial sweeteners. We stay of the ocean and we make sure to fasten the seat belts. Then of course, people start dying from obesity and lack of protein. We start going blind and losing limbs because of diabetes.

Fact is that we, none of us, can avoid death. We can avoid too much meat, we can avoid artificial sweeteners we can avoid smoking and smokers with extreme care. Moreover, some might wear helmets in their cars, or maybe not ride in cars at all. In order to avoid the cars we will use the safer plane, even if we just need to go ten miles.

Naturally, each form of death can be further broken down. For instance, illness takes in cancer, heart disease, neurological problems, and on and on. Then cancer can be broken down further into I have no idea how many. Two of my four brothers died of brain cancer. Every doctor I ever talked to has said that is very rare. I’ll just have to take their word for it as I don’t know. I did see them just before they died and I saw it was a horrible way to die.

Then, of course there are the overdoses of drugs. I just can’t figure that one out. Unlike cancer, it is totally preventable. I hear a few politicians say a few things here and there. The only one I saw that really did something was President Trump. Then of course, the dems did something about that. Now the problem is worse than before. I wonder what those people that study odds and mortality have to say about that. The government spent untold fortunes curing AIDS. Who is trying to solve the problem of drug abuse?

Then there are the murders. Most murders don’t have anything to do with guns. The dems are trying to get rid of the guns and they are letting the other murderers out on in the streets minutes after the murder. I don’t understand that. I wonder if those that study odds have something to say about it.

I’m still trying to figure out how the dems can cry out against the guns when they themselves are the authors of millions of deaths, in Ukraine, Afghanistan and Iraq. Then too, what about the disaster we call the pandemic. Could have been totally avoided if China was not financed by the dems and specifically Fauci. How many deaths were caused in this country by guns? Look it up. How many have died from the China virus. I suspect that far more were killed by Fauci and his dem friends than all the guns.

No Such Thing

After all the confusion of trying to find a charging station or the proper equipment for conversion, I thought I came up with the perfect solution. No such thing. I was going to suggest a standard 220 volt outlet on all charge stations. That won’t work. I came to that solution after googling standard 220 volt outlet. No such thing, or that is to say there are about a dozen of them at least.

I suppose we could require the charging station to have all of them. However, that doesn’t sound so great. As I said, no such thing.

Sam’s Club EV Charge Station

The one on Goodman road in Southaven reported on the internet, it’s not there. I searched the area. I asked the employees. They knew not of what I was speaking. I tried to contact them on the Web and let them know of the error. Not going to happen. Those CEOs don’t like hearing from us little guys.

So. You might just pass it on. Also, should you know the CEO, you might mention some to him too.

From what I gather, they do intend to have a station at all Sam’s clubs and Walmart stores. None around here…not yet. That going green outfit, maybe needs to talk to the board of Walmart, I guess. I mean, if they are going to do it, they need to do it before someone else beats them to it.

The Bidens Gonna Get Away With It?

It would appear so. All the news outlets are saying how they beat the system.

Well, maybe they beat the system but no one gets past the judgment of God. They will pay for the dishonesty, for the suffering that they caused, and, of course for the death. The system might overlook it, but God won’t.

Personally, I would rather face the judgment of the system. At its worst, it’s temporary. God’s judgment is forever.

Dumb Advertising

Yesterday, I received an advertisement from Humana. Now just why should I start out like that. What is so significant? Just why is it dumb advertising?

Well, let me start by explaining just what I did with the ad. Once I saw it was from Humana, it went straight into the trash. It did not pass go. It did not collect $200. It went directly into the trash. In other words, what Humana paid on the ad and the mailing was a total waste. It did them no good. I suppose it did help Uncle Sam’s Postal Department a little, but it was a useless thing for Humana. In a sense, it was an insult.

On a day, not too many years ago, another dumb man did something really dumb. He came up with a medical system called The Affordable Care Act. There was nothing affordable about it. I could have almost paid for my new car with what I paid for it, over 30 thousand dollars. It took a big bite out of my IRA.

My wife was not yet 65 so I was obligated to pay for insurance for her, about a thousand a month, nearly twelve thousand a year for five years. I don’t need the dems doing me any more favors like that for me.

However, getting to the point. For one of those years, my payment went to Humana. That was pure profit for Humana. My wife never went to the doctor for the entire year. You would think Humana would have liked to keep us on for a few more years like that. They didn’t. At the end of the year, they dropped us and we had to go to another company, a more expensive one.

Now, it would seem, for some reason they want us back as customers. Now just what do you think the chances of that are, especially since she is now on Medicare.

If there is one thing dumber than Humana sending ads to us, it would be us thinking of doing business with Humana. Nope! Not going to happen. I’m not that dumb. They got their 12 grand from me. They’ll just have to settle for that. We don’t want their help. We don’t need their help. Just one thing worse than their help, Obama’s help.

One more little note, Obama Care would not have passed without the support of AARP. Don’t have any use for that liberal outfit either. Never will. The best thing they can do is to disappear. The only thing they are good at is taking bribes.

The Simple Paradox

We do use the word paradox from time to time. It does have a few meanings but let me zero in on a simple paradox, the meaning of which is: a statement or situation that may be true but seems impossible or difficult to understand because it contains two opposite facts or characteristics.

Let me say it this way. It seems impossible but is true. It seems the opposite but is not.

God likes to use paradoxes. The one I find most paradoxical is that when we are washed in the blood, God sees us as white as snow.

Now think about that. When a person is covered in blood, as say a surgeon, he commonly gets covered in blood. The surgeon must be cleaned continually, especially as he goes from one patient to another. The instruments must be cleaned. Gauze, what they call sponges must be regularly discarded. Moreover, after an operation, the room must be cleaned, corner to corner, top to bottom. Sometimes, the rooms must be cleaned from blood during the surgery. Let’s face it. Usually, blood is filthy and it spreads disease. Most of us get squeamish looking at it, or even just picturing it. One of worst jobs a person can have in an hospital is to clean an OR after an operation.

And yet, when we are covered with the blood of Christ Jesus, God looks at us as if we are cleaned white as snow. Indeed, none of us will ever get into heaven without our sins being covered by the blood of Jesus. Indeed, it is said that he has shed his blood for us that we might be saved.

Our blood will not save anyone, not even ourselves. Yet, the Bible says that sin cannot be forgiven without the shedding of blood.

I’m not going to try to explain it. It is a paradox presented to us by God. It is a fact, the blood of Jesus makes us clean. Without it, we are filthy. Confusing as it is to me, it’s a fact. Not one person that has ever lived, is living or will live, will ever go to heaven unless he has been washed in the blood of Jesus. It is the only way to become white as snow. It is the only situation I know of where something crimson red will make us white. If I knew how to explain it, I would.

Myth Busters

Used to be one of my favorite shows. Ever since I was a kid, I was interested in science and Myth Busters was a show, mostly, about science.

However, over the years, they exposed things on the show that really deserve greater research. Off hand, I only remember two. There was the one about dimples in golf balls and the one about the blindfolded person walking in a curve, possibly, eventually in a circle.

In the one with the dimples in golf balls, they proved that a dimple in the surface of a car will make the car more aerodynamic. Now that’s a kicker. Where is the research on that. Don’t you think by now, we would all be driving around in cars with dimples? I don’t know. Maybe someone(s) in some college did do some research on it. I have heard nothing of it.

I’m thinking that the big eighteen wheelers ought to have dimples on the enclosed trailers. A five percent decrease in fuel usage is just what this nation needs. Has anyone tried it with airplanes. At a speed close to the speed of sound, maybe they could save 10 or 15 percent of the fuel.

Where are the engineers checking this out. It’s easy to do. There are wind tunnels for that stuff, you know. Has so much as one engineer tested one dimpled surface in one wind tunnel. I would check it out, but I have neither the degree nor the money. Without the degree, no one will listen to what I found out. Without the money, I’d not be able to research it.

I wonder. Does it work on water too. Can you imagine what would happen if we put dimples on an aircraft carrier. Maybe we could make it faster as well as more efficient. (maybe quieter)

I don’t understand. These going green folks should be all over this. With one simple change in our engineering, we might save 5 to 10 percent on fuel and decrease the CO2 oven more. After all, it would make the electric car more practical.

Then there is the old walking in circles thing they proved. You put a blindfold on a person; tell them to walk in a straight; and they don’t. They follow a slight curve. I don’t know why. Perhaps a few experiments will reveal something.

Is it always the same? Perhaps the curve changes based on how close they are to the equator. On the other hand, is the same or nearly the same with everyone. Is there any variance based on altitude. Has anyone considered the experiment under water?

I don’t know the answers to any of these. I don’t know if anyone does. I don’t even know if anyone has experimented with it. What did they find out if they did. Isn’t anyone besides me curious?

I do know this. They have known of the problem for a long time. It is why they used to trail ropes on ships and from wagons while going across the prairie. It is difficult to go straight with no mountains as a reference.

Just a thought. If we know how much we curve naturally, maybe we can figure a way to counter it and go straight.

Eyes Wide Open

I can’t say I didn’t know; cause I did. Electric cars need charging stations. I could totally solve my personal problem easily. I have four 220 volt outlets in my house. Not one of them is in use. I am sure I could keep my car charged just with that alone, but for one thing. None of the outlets are close enough to the car.

I actually thought about an extension cord. However, given the amount of current involved, I’m pretty hesitant. No since starting a fire trying to charge my car. I suspect I’ll get an electrician to do the job. Given the small amount of driving I do, a couple of few hours a night would be more than ample to keep the car charged.

Actually, I got a little off the subject I intended to address. Truthfully, there are plenty of charging stations around here. Just about all of them are different. I must admit my ignorance. I don’t know which ones I can use and which ones I can’t. Needless to say, I really don’t want to ruin the batteries of a new car because I don’t know which ones I can or can’t use.

However, that is the half of it. Naturally, those that own the charging stations would like to make a little money off the things. I understand that. However, I checked out several charging stations over the last few days. Nothing, or nearly nothing is posted. They have nothing that says which cars they are compatible with. Worse, there is nothing there that explains who can use it or how. All they have at two of them is a phone number. Both of them are the same. I tried to call them. Effectively, no answer.

There is something of a fault with the car manufacturer and a part of the fault lies with those running the charging stations. They should both be plainly marked which charges can be used with which cars.

I don’t much care about the government getting their nose into things, but this just might be a good place. They can shoot to get three or four standard chargers and they can make sure both car and chargers are well marked.

It gives me another reason for me to be glad I bought the Ariya. Up until now, I had no idea it was this much of a problem. Seems to me, if Old Joe really wants electric cars, he’ll address this little problem before it becomes a big one. Moreover, the little problem just might get in the way of folks buying the “GREEN” cars.

Finally, let’s make sure we know how to operate the chargers and how to pay for the electricity.

I like my car. I like driving it. It is quickly spoiling me. But it simply will do me no good sitting in my drive collecting dirt.
