Good Guys Finish Last?

To some degree, the adage “nice guys finish last” has again been proven true.  Because President Trump did not want the federal employees to continue to lose their pay; because Pelosi could care less about those who were suffering, the nice guy – President Trump lost.  The heartless one – Pelosi won.

In the end, however, the good guys may yet win.  If Pelosi goes back on her word, as she has done so many times before, President Trump can still come out victorious.  He can declare the emergency and build the wall anyway.  What’s more, he might build it bigger and longer.  Then Pelosi will be the one with egg on her face.  The real villain will lose and the people will see how effective it is.   Finally, in the end, the people will see how much of a liar Pelosi is.

Of course, it should not be a surprise to anyone.  After all, she is a dummycrat and lying is what dummycrats do.

BUILD THE WALL!!!

Apologies

Seems that there are a bunch of apologies being made by the dummycrats recently, especially by the ones thinking about running for president.  I can’t say for sure, but I suspect they all have one thing in common.  They are all likely empty apologies.  Then again, I might be wrong.  They might actually be real.  After all, they are dummycrats.  They might have just been lying, either before or now.  Your guess is as good as mine as to which.

Pravda v Our Mainstream News Media

Pravda printed propaganda because the Soviet Union made them, more or less at the point of a gun.

The American mainstream media prints propaganda because they want to.

Other than that, I can’t see a whole lot of difference. They both bolster the benefits of socialism and rail the horrors of capitalism.  They both say how wonderful it is for one central government to run everything and the horrors of individual thought.

Remember these things:

1. Deceit does not always require a lie.  Sometimes an element of truth is more deceiving than the lie.

2. For those who like their welfare: Not everyone who gives you things is your friend.  Often, gifts are given with an element of control.  Those who give you bread today, seek to tell your children how to live, and think.  (Our forefathers gave us freedom.  Do you want to give your children bondage and tyranny.)

3. We ought to do that which is right, regardless of the penalty.  We ought not do that which is wrong, regardless of the reward.

To be sure, President Trump is trying to do that which saves lives and protects our freedom.  The dummycrats are doing all they can to stand in his way.  It is because of the open border that people seek to enter illegally, often costing their lives and freedom.  They are in favor of laws that act like magnets, such as welfare for all and college for illegal aliens that encourage their long and dangerous trek.  They make it almost impossible to send them back, which often endangers the lives of those who legally live here.  And, by the way, it also endangers the lives of those who live here illegally.

It is the dummycrats that offer free things, all the while sizing control of the government.  Once they control our government, the welfare will stop and the tyranny will begin.  It is the pattern.  It is the way it was in Russia.  It is the way it was in China.  It was what happened in Cuba and Venezuela.  Now people who live in these countries risk their lives to live here.  Once we become as they are, where do we go to seek freedom?  To what land do we go to to think as we want without the thought police looking over our shoulder.

You say it won’t happen here as it did there.  Have you taken a good look at our college campuses?  The liberals already rule those institutions, there ones that are supposed to encourage free thought.  The government is already telling us who we can do business with.  The thought police are right around the corner.  Soon they will tell us what we can or can’t preach in church.  For that matter, they just might try to do away with the churches altogether.

One world government is what the socialists seek.  It is what Karl Marx taught.  It was his ultimate goal.  It was to do away with war.  But when the government that rules the world is bad, what recourse do freedom lovers have?

Possible Wall Building Materials

I know.  I am not a design engineer.  I barely graduated high school.  So maybe this thought is all wet.  None the less, I just have to suggest it.

First there is the there is possibility of using clear plastic.  It would probably be a good idea to enclose some kind of wire mesh for strength.  It would have three big advantages, maybe four or five.  It could be built very fast.  It could easily be repaired. There is no way for someone to climb a smooth plastic surface.  To be sure, it would be transparent.  I am guessing that plastic is less expensive than steel.  In cars, they keep replacing steel with plastic, I guess, because it is less expensive.  It is certainly lighter and likely easier to mold.

My second consideration is fiberglass.  I am sure that fiberglass would have most of the advantages of plastic but it would not be clear. Still, plastic windows could be built into it.  I don’t know how fiber glass compares in cost with steel, but they sure build a lot of boats from it.  If must be at least competitive with steel.  Moreover, it is far easier to repair than steel or plastic.  In all likelihood, the patch could be made stronger than the the original wall.  The fiberglass would also have one more big advantage.  Sensors could easily be hidden in the wall that could sense noise and changes in light.  Also, speakers could be installed so that warnings and/or sirens can go off the instant someone tries to go over or under the wall.

Maybe someone out there who has some knowledge on the subject can tell if I am going astray with these thoughts.  Certainly, if plastic or fiberglass is better, someone else would have thought of it.

Actually, I just had another thought.  The plastic could have gravel inside it.  I’m not sure, but I think maybe small rocks or gravel might be less expensive plastic.  It just might also have a side benefit, it might have real nice esthetic values.

Regardless, it might be a good idea to coat the wall on both side with some good slick grease.  First, it will make it more difficult to climb.  Second, no one wants to get grease all over themselves.  Third, if someone does manage to scale the wall, it will be easy to tell.  He will will have grease on him.

The Error of Reagan

Way back when, I am not sure of the date, President Reagan made an error.  It was one of his few.  He agreed that they would grant citizenship to millions of illegal aliens under the agreement that the border would be secured.

Guess what.  President Reagan came through with his part of the agreement.  The dummycrats didn’t.  The border was not seured and it has not been secured to this day.

Not only was it an error but it has become a pattern.  It is similar to Charlie Brown, Lucy, and the football.  For anyone unaware, Lucy promises to hold the football while for Charlie while he kicks it.  Without fail, she moves the football right before he kicks it.  Poor Charlie never learns.  Every time, he misses the ball and ends up flat on his back.

I would hope that we don’t repeat the error of Reagan again.  If we do, maybe the Republicans are more foolish than Charlie.  Then again, maybe it is willing, or more accurately, designed foolishness.  Maybe they don’t really want THE WALL and they just want to hide behind the dummycrats.  Still, I wonder.  Do they really prefer to look so dumb?

I am beginning to think the only way that President Trump will build any kind of barrier is to declare an emergency.  If he does, he may as well do it right and build it coast to coast.  I mean, if he is going to be in for a penny, he may as well be in for a dollar.  More important, the dummycrats just might learn an important lesson, or maybe two.  For that matter, the rinos might learn a thing or two.

Then again, I doubt it.  I think that is just a little too much to hope for.  The dummycrats don’t want the wall so that they can gain power.  The rinos don’t want it because they want cheap labor.  Neither one cares a thing about the loss of life on both sides of the border and I don’t think they ever will.

The Dummycrats’ Greatest Fear

Many think that President Trump is the dummycrats greatest feat.  This, of course, is not it at all.  President Trump will come and go.  He will be replaced by another, conceivably even a dummycrat.

The truth is that the one thing the dummycrats really fear is the possibility that President Trump will succeed.  They know that if he does, the country will be far greater than it was during the time that Obama ruled with his “phone and pen.”  Americans will realize that things work better when we spend our own money instead of letting the government have it.

They will also realize it is better when we make our own decisions as to what to say and do instead of allowing the government to tell us what we should do or who we should do it with.  To be sure, they do not want us to realize the way that crime goes down when we can own and carry guns.  They know how much successful businesses are when the government intervenes as little as possible.

However, the fear of all fear for the dummycrats is the idea that the word just might get around.  When they see how freedom and liberty succeeds, other countries just might decide to start copying us.

There was a time other nations did respect us and tried to model their nations after us.  However, the truth is that no other nation has had our success.  Russia had freedom for about ten years: before they were taken over by communists.  Mexico went through three or four governments before they arrived at what they have, socialism.  Venezuela was doing really great: until they allowed a Marxist to take over.  Now they can’t feed their people.  For that matter, I don’t think the government wants to.

Can you imagine a world where all nations practiced freedom and liberty?  I really don’t think the dummycrats would like that.  After all, their design is to reign, to rule.  They want to tell us what to do and what to think.  They want to have control of our money and they want to manage our healthcare.

It is as Liam, William Barr’s grandson, wrote in part.  “The Russian people are fine.  The problem is the government.”  What wonderful words of wisdom.  You look at most of the countries of the world and it is easily seen that their biggest problem is their government.  Certainly, it is the problem in North Korea, Venezuela, Cuba, China, Russia, Syria….  You know there are many more.

The truth is that if you want to destroy a country, just put dishonest and power hungry people in charge of it.  One place the US has succeeded is that, starting with George Washing, we kept power hungry people out of it.  If we allow power hungry people to run it today, there will be no US tomorrow; certainly not as we know it.

Dummycrats and Lobbyists

When I first moved to my current home about 40 years ago, the four of us went to a nice place a few miles away.  After we spent the day there, we went to a drive-in restaurant.  My older son put away a foot-long chili dog and a 1/4 pound hamburger, not to mention the fries.  I would guess it would attest to a hard day at play.

Then, of course, we headed home, or at least I thought we did.  The area was sparsely populated and I was not familiar with it.  However, after about fifteen minutes, I started thinking I did something wrong.

I stepped out of the car and realized the sun was behind me.  Up to this point, I was convinced that I was going west.  Wow!  Was that a rude awakening?  The worst part was that I was low on gas and had no idea which way to go to the nearest gas station.  Fortunately, I made the right decision and went north where I found a station in a few miles.  Finally, we actually did head home, west.

I made a mistake, one that I seldom make.  I went the wrong way.  I guess I am not alone.  I heard about a pilot who thought he was going west and flew east to Ireland.  Most suspect that he did it on purpose in order to get around some kind ruling by the government.  There was also a football player who actually ran toward the wrong goal line.  Now that has to be embarrassing.  No one wants to score for the other team, especially in front of thousands of fans.

To be sure, it is sometimes a good thing to stop and take our bearings.  Sometimes, no matter how sure we are, we just might be going the wrong direction.  Certainly, no matter how convinced we are that we are going the wrong direction, we just might be headed toward disaster.  Had I not stopped and checked, I would have run out of gas.  There is no telling how long how long I would have had to wait for help.

If someone takes off from San Francisco in a little Cessna and goes west, he will not ever reach Reno no matter how convinced he is that he is going east.  It might not hurt to look down and see what is below him.  If the weather doesn’t permit, maybe he can use his VOR or maybe his GPS.  If he is convinced all the instruments are wrong, he is going to be in trouble.  That little plane is going to run out of gas before reaching land.

One thing I have personally noticed is that any time dummycrats and lobbyists get together, the Dummycrats will invariably end up going the wrong way.  During their recent little stay in Porto Rico, I understand that there were more than 4 lobbyists for each dummycrat.  Now that is a recipe for disaster.  Nothing good can come from such a thing.  Invariably, the Dummycrats will end up going the wrong direction and the lobbyist will do all they know to convince them they are going the right way.  Moreover, by the time the dummycrats figure it out, there might not be any gas stations around.  They just might be surrounded by open seas.

A Little Misdirection

As an writer, I occasionally use the internet for research.  Currently, I am working on a book where I wanted to do some checking on camp-stoves, specifically the type that use Sterno fuel.

Now I have a slew of e-mails suggesting the purchase of camp-stoves.  My apologies to the merchants.  It was not my intention to misdirect you, but I am not interested in camp-stoves.  My days of camping are long behind me.  Besides, from what I learned of Sterno Stoves, they are not well suited for camping.  They have a hard time boiling water.  In my book, my character decided on the old gasoline type.  The flame burns hot and the fuel is readily available.

Don’t get me wrong, the Sterno Stoves do serve a good purpose, but not for survival.  The flame is not hot enough to boil more than a quart or two of water.  Propane or (or if available) is much better for most purposes.  There is a one burner version that is not much larger than the LP bottle and it can generate a good uniform flame for quite a while.  It would very likely be a good stove for power outages, unless like me, you have a gas stove.

The one real laugh I have about it all, those monitoring my internet queries often have a false impression of me and there is not one thing I can do about it.  None of there e-mails permit return messages.

My Biggest Fear

We can stop some people from coming across the border by stopping welfare.  We can almost put a total stop of illegal immigration by keeping illegals from gaining any form of employment… even the under the table type.

Of course, there are those who cross the border with all kinds of diseases.  The kids attend out schools and expose our children to such things as anti-bionic resistant TB and who knows what else.  Indeed, there might be a few diseases we don’t yet know about.  That in itself sounds like a good reason to build a wall.

Then there are all the drugs that are brought over the border.  It is true that some of it comes in through ports of entry, but the vast majority bypasses the scrutiny the border guards there.  It only stands to reason.  Why sneak the stuff through the border stations when they can just go a few miles to the side and drive the stuff over, virtually unhindered.

However, my greatest fear is that one person or group of people that bring a weapon of mass destruction into the country.  One nuclear weapon in L. A. would be more than disastrous.  There are over ten million in Los Angeles and Orange County area, more than in the city of New York.  There is a huge Navy Base in San Diego, just a few miles north of the border.  Do we really want to leave our guard down as we did at Perl Harbor?

Do you think 9-11 was bad?  If someone sets off a nuclear weapon in San Diego or Los Angeles, even if it is a small one, it will make the attack in New York seem like small potatoes.

Do we always need to learn the lessons by firsthand experience?  Do we always have to wait until after the attack to find out we are vulnerable?  My best guess is that if we wait, it will be too late.  I don’t think we will be able to recover.

The bad part is that we won’t be able to retaliate.  We won’t know who was behind it.  I guess we just just have to retaliate against everyone.  Then, as they say, there won’t be anything left but the cockroaches.

The truth of the matter is that Pelosi and cohorts know the dangers of leaving the border open.  The fact is that it is more than political.  It is about the power.  They want to control the country.  They want to control the world and they want to control everyone in it.

It is as old as civilization.  There have always been those who seem to control others.  There have always been those who want to be king of the world.  The Greeks and Romans used swords.  Hitler used guns.  The dummycrats use promises.  They promise us everything and then they take all our freedom.

In this case, it just might backfire on them.  If someone plants a nuclear bomb in Chicago, they just might want to run for the border and keep running Venezuela.  Then again, they might want to run to Cuba.  My guess is that they would be welcomed there with opened arms.

On the other hand, they would have to give up all the power they accumulated.  They just might have to work for a living.

A Short Question About Tunnels

Dummycrats claim walls don’t work.

If walls don’t work, why do the smugglers go through all the effort to build tunnels under them?

By the way, I have been notified that drones can work… if they are armed with Hellfire missiles.  Helicopters work real good too… if armed with machine guns and rockets.  They would certainly be very effective, but I don’t think it would be such a good idea.

BUILD THE WALL!!!
