No Room for the Proud

Please note the following from the King James version of the Bible

Ephesians 2: 8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Almost all preachers concentrate on verse 8 and rightfully so. However we should never overlook verse 9. I cannot say exactly what God meant by what he said, but I know His result. Those who think that they will be received in heaven because of what they did or said, will never be accepted. Those that expect that they will, are going to be very disappointed. For if they think they will contribute to their salvation is pride.

Hence, I think I can safely say that the those who are proud will not find room for them in heaven. Maybe that was His purpose, though I cannot say for sure. Yet it does serve the purpose.

I caution you that if you plan on telling God all your good works, He will not be impressed by them or you. You see, you will have had your chance to rely totally on His Son for your salvation and you decided not to. You decided to rely on yourself at least in part; or to follow the false teachings of some so called church whose teachings lead people astray by the millions…and ultimately to hell.

If you try to stand before God your pride, your home is not in heaven. For those of use who bow humbly at the feet of Jesus Christ and accept His gift of salvation, without trying to add anything to it, heaven is already our home. We have been assured of it. It is not bragging on what we did, but what Jesus did.

Of all the sins of man, pride is the one that God hates the most. I suspect it is because it leads us from him and to our own means. So, it is my deduction that, no matter how large heaven is, God will make sure that there will be no room for the proud.

Something a man told me a long time ago is that it is better to be thankful than to be proud. For sure, I have no reason to be proud of the United States, though I do believe it is the greatest nation in modern history. However, I am thankful that God made it so. God did not have to put in Los Angeles, California when I was born, but He did. For that I am grateful. God did not have to put me in a Christian family with really good brothers and sisters, but I am thankful He did. God did not have to send his Son to die on the cross for my sins, but He did, and I am thankful beyond words He did. Moreover, I will not try to add anything to it. If I try, not only will I mess things up, but it would mean that I think His work is incomplete or insufficient, a lack of faith.

God does not make us go to heaven, though He could. He has given us the choice. It is a gift, not a something to be forced upon us. To be sure He pleads with each of us to accept the gift for which He paid so much. However, should you turn it down, it will be your greatest mistake. The pride you insist on holding onto will lead to an eternity of suffering.

Of all the allusions that Satin presented to man, the one that man can earn, or help earn his salvation is the most devastating. The reason it succeeds more often than not is because of the pride of mankind.

Fear

Many of us learn fear from our youth. For some people the fear is not natural. Some people refuse to leave their homes. Others, like me, fear heights. Fortunately, my fear of heights is more-or-less under control. Still, I refuse to go up in those rides where all they do is lift you to great heights. Some, let you rapidly descend and slow you just before you reach the ground.

I guess my fear of heights does have some basis. To be sure, the height won’t cause any harm. In general most people survive the fall. It’s that sudden stop I fear.

Some have great fear of the dark while most of us know that it isn’t the dark that can cause us harm. Now on the other hand, all those treacherous gremlin that hide in the dark….

Most of us, to some degree, fear the IRS. If you don’t believe me, just tell someone that the IRS is going to audit his last five years of returns. I suppose, to some degree, this is a good fear. It keeps most of us honest. On the other hand, the not so honest have more fear than most of us. Sometimes it nags at such people. It is the ol’ “What if” question that comes to mind, at least once or twice a day.

Often times we try to destroy what we fear. Sometimes, this is without reason. Sometimes we have a reason.

Take for instance the dems, the general news media, and especially those who have lied to the public. In general, they fear the truth and as such they try to destroy it.

This speaks well of President Trump. Those that have lied, cheated and stolen, or those who have aided and abetted those who have, have a good reason to fear the former president. He represents the truth. And, if there is one thing these folks have to fear is the truth, or those who speak the truth. It is no wonder there are so many trying to destroy President Trump and those who support him.

If they don’t fear the truth, then why won’t they let him speak? Why did they take him down from all the social sites?

It looks to me as if they are running scared. Because they fear him, they try to destroy him.

Moreover, it is a pattern. Anywhere you see someone trying to destroy the truth, it is a sign that they have something to hide. Remember Ms. Clinton and her E-mails. She feared the truth getting out more than she feared the penalty of the law. Then again, she does have a D after her name. She did know she had a good chance of getting away with it. So she successfully broke the law and hid the truth. As such, we, the public will never know what she hid.

If I Am Wrong, Please Tell Me

I heard a reason as to why the minimum wage was started. I looked on the Internet and could find nothing denying or confirming it. Yet, right or wrong, it has an element in it that does somewhat ring true. More accurately, if I were to verify it, I’d not be surprised.

I have heard a number of reasons for the minimum wage. Most folks say it was to help level the wages in the depression. That may very well be. Yet it neither leveled the wages nor did it help those at the lower wrung of the ladder. Mostly, it caused those on the lowest wrung to lose their jobs.

That, indeed is the reason given, true or false. It is also the reason it wrung true. Stop and think of it. When the employer must lay off personnel, who does he lay off? If it were me, I would lay off those who are least productive, those least talented and those who turn out the least or lowest quality work.

In the days they started minimum wage, those who were most productive were those who were white. It was not because they were any better, just better educated. More than that, I hate to say it, but the prejudices were worse back then. Also, those who were pushing minimum wage were democrats, those who were more prejudice.

If the purpose was there or not, it had the same result. Tragically, those who had black skin were more likely to lose their jobs.

Wouldn’t it be a horrible thing if it served the same purpose today? If it is the purpose or not, it still has the same result. Surely those who want the increase in minimum wage know that. It would be a horrible deception. Under the guise of helping the Africa-Americans, they are destroying their means of making a living.

Lie Detectors

In my youth, I often considered how nice it would be to be able to place a device on a person’s forehead that would light up every time the person lies.

Lately, I reconsidered it. Such a thing on the forehead of a democrat would be redundant. There is simply no need for it.

Only Words

It would appear that Biden got himself in trouble by not answering the question about packing the court. Of course it did not take long before the dummycrats came to his rescue. In a matter of hours, they completely changed the meaning of “packing the court.”

I guess in the future, the republicans will need to make things simpler. Instead of using the old well established phrase, we need to use the phrase, “increasing the number justices.” Or maybe we can figure out a way to paint a picture.

I would hope they would never be able to change the meaning of that, but then who knows.

Regardless, it is what they do. Sometimes they lie. Sometimes they deceive. And, of course, sometimes, they change the meaning of words. Who knows? One of these days they just might try honesty. They do say it is the best policy.

Energy (Oil)

For a nation to be strong, it all starts with oil, coal and natural gas. We need steel, we need aluminum and we need food, but it all starts with energy. We need the energy to make steel. We need energy by the megawatt to make aluminum. We need energy to extract it all from the earth and we need energy to make the raw products, which we turn into cars, tractors, trucks and a list far too long for me to mention.

You remove the energy from us and our country will go back into the stone ages so fast it would make your head spin.

By the way, we need the oil in three ways for farming. We need it for the fertilizer, for the pesticides and for the operation of farm equipment. If the tractors remain silent, we won’t eat. Those of us who are able, might grow a little in our backyards but not nearly enough. Besides, the plants need water. Actually, so do we. Without fuel, the water pumps won’t work. We might haul it up from the lakes and rivers, but we would have to do that by real horse power the type that eats hay.

But that’s not the half of it. There will be no way to remove the trash and garbage, especially from heavily populated urban areas. Disease would run rampant in weeks, if not sooner.

and, guess what. The dummycrats want us to wean ourselves off oil in a couple of decades. They want us to rid ourselves of it all. It is dumb. Guess what? Our farms not only feed our people here in the US but we feed people all over the world. If the democrats have their way, the folks in other countries will starve too. They will wonder why the largest producers of food in the world aren’t sending them any food. We will have to tell them. Sorry. The dummycrats don’t want us to produce carbon dioxide.

Maybe those dummycrats would like to explain to the children of our nation why we have no more potatoes. Those Black lives who matter. They will die without food.

But they don’t care. They don’t care about any lives, least of all Black lives. Their whole purpose is control. They want to win those elections and they will tell us anything to that goal. The truth is, Obama killed thousands by withdrawing the troops from Iraq early. Ask him if he lost one night of sleep over it. The governor of New York directly caused the death of 11,000 people as a result of the virus. Ask him if he cares.

I don’t know. I lack the research ability, but I would guess at least 1100 of those people who died in those nursing homes were Black, African-Americans. It bothers me more than I can tell and I had nothing to do with it. Had I known and were able, I would have done all I could to prevent it. I don’t think it bothers him one little bit. I sense not one little bit of remorse.

By the way, the government of New York will not let people use fracking to produce oil inside New York. You can easily tell where their interest lie.

As I said, it all starts with energy. Without it, the US becomes another third world country. It is exactly what the dummycrats want. Then they can rule and they can fly around in their planes and drive around in their limos while the rest of us make do.

Unless this is what you want, vote republican and tell your friends to do the same. If you don’t, then after the election, it will be too late. No one will be able to do anything then. and then you will experience first hand what I am saying.

What type of energy will people use then. They will have to burn wood just to stay warm. Do you have any idea how much CO2 and smog wood causes? At least we won’t need to concern ourselves with forest fires. There will be no forests. People will burn the wood to stay warm, those who can. The rest will simply freeze.

Smog in the Los Angeles valley didn’t start with cars but the burning of wood long before white man arrived on the scene.

The Three C’s

Just Heard about Gov. Huckabee’s new book: “The Three C’s That Made America Great: Christianity, Capitalism, and The Constitution.”

Love the name. The only thing that angers me is that I didn’t think of it first. I have not yet read the book. It is not yet in my budget. However, the truth of the matter is… the title speaks volumes.

Way to go Mr. Huckabee. I hope it is a big success. I hope it really makes the liberals angry. Well, it would be nice if it converts a few too.

Control 2

In “Control 1” I wrote about the number 1 way that tyrants can control a people, denying education even to the point of keeping people illiterate.

Today, I would want to go into the second way of controlling the masses, propaganda. In Germany, Russia and China, the communists used propaganda heavily.

If I am going to write about it, maybe I should make sure you know what it is. Technically, propaganda is information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote or publicize a particular political cause or point of view.

I might emphasize at this point that propaganda is not necessarily lies. Indeed, the best propaganda contains elements of truth. In fact it might not even contain any lies at all. It makes it more believable. The way it works is by leaving out key information.

If we say that John Doe is a horrible man because he cuts people open, it sounds like a reasonable statement. What we are not told is that the man is a highly skilled heart surgeon.

We believe the deceit that he is a horrible man because of the little bit of truth we are told. If we do not give him an opportunity to defend himself, we might actually be in favor of putting him on death row, especially if he admitted to cutting people open.

For decades Pravda was the paper of record in the USSR. Nothing was printed in it without the approval of the government. People who wrote for the paper were specialists in propaganda. They worded their stories so as to make the USSR sound like a grand and glorious nation. Ironically, it did contain some useful information if you could figure out how to parse through the propaganda and find the little bits of truth embedded in it.

However, as I said in an earlier post, the main difference between Pravda and The New York Times is that Pravda was controlled by the government. The New York Times is controlled by the democrats. In many cases the democrats are communists, so it amounts to about the same thing.

Most papers these days are a mere shadow of past journalism. Many journalists risked life and limb to print the truth. Nowadays the so-called journalists risk life and limb to keep the truth out of the papers. What little truth they do print is to convince us of the propaganda.

Let’s take that Atlantic rag that said the president said horrible things about the marines who fought in Bellow Woods. They took a well known fact, that he canceled the memorial trip and then they weaved a few lies into it. They cite autonomous sources (for all we know they are all fictitious. we have no way of knowing.) and then they expect us to believe it.

To some degree it works. Some people want to believe it. It doesn’t matter. The story is referenced by dozens of papers radio and TV personalities. Suddenly it is true, whether or not it is.

The fact is that it really isn’t even a good example of propaganda. It isn’t believable. Any rank amateur could tear apart the story in seconds. Moreover, President Trump was able to produce dozens of sources, real people with real names that called it out for what it was, a blatant lie. Regardless, it did do some damage. It will have to be dealt with by the president’s campaign.

In my own personal opinion, the newspaper did more damage to themselves than to the president. Anyone with a brain in their head will forever doubt anything printed by the paper. Unless it is artificially propped up, it will likely fade away.

Nonetheless, it does demonstrate propaganda and its uses. It also demonstrates why people citing anonymous sources should never be believed. Once I see or hear the word, anonymous, I stop reading or listening. In my mind it would be dumb to continue.

Then again, the democrats are dumb. They continue to read the articles and they quote them as great truths. It is why I call them dummycrats. It is why they are being successfully controlled by the controllers.

The Truth About Hope

One day a man starts out from one of the small airfields on the island of Santa Catalina off the coast of California. He starts flying west and hopes to find an airfield soon. In this case, his best hopes are to end up wet. There are no airfields west of Catalina in the range of a Cessna single engine prop.

A woman in Saint Louis boards a south-bound train in hopes of going to Chicago. Eventually, the only place her hopes will get her is New Orleans. Then again, maybe that was where she hoped to go. Many folks prefer New Orleans to Chicago. In general, the weather is better.

Neither of the above stories is true. However, people get turned around all the time. One afternoon, when I pulled out of a Sonic restaurant, I thought I turned west. I hoped, shortly, I would approach my home.

Needless to say, hope didn’t do me any good. On the other hand, when I stood outside my car and saw that the sun was behind me, I realized my error. Strange thing, though I was going east, I was absolutely convinced I was going west.

For me, the problem was doubled. I was getting low on gas and I didn’t see a hope of a gas station anywhere. At least I saw the error and drove north where I would likely find a gas station, which I did after about five miles.

The thing is, democrats like to talk a lot about hope. The problem is that they do this while all the time leading the country in the wrong direction.

It’s just not safe when you put your hope in people who don’t know what to do or how to do it. The fact is that most democrat politicians have never run company. The never met a payroll. In many cases, they never held down a real job.

Obama was a neighborhood organizer. Biden has always been a politician. Before getting into politics, Kamala Harris was a lawyer and, from what I understand, not a very good one. Some would go so far to say she wasn’t very honest either. Are these the leaders on whom we want to place our hope?

One more thing about hope, which is even more important. There are many who hope they will go to heaven who won’t. Satan has sold them a bill of goods. What he offers is a counterfeit faith. It is logical that if he hopes to fool people, he needs to make the counterfeit look very much like the real thing.

I would suggest, that you make sure you have the real thing, not the counterfeit. Hell is a horrible place and forever is a long time. It is a place without hope, ever.

Surprise!!

I just heard that some democrats are considering removing the phrase “under God” from the Pledge of Allegiance.

Now that surprises me.  My guess is that they would want to remove the pledge altogether.  After all, they do believe in globalism and they do believe in open borders.  With those beliefs, why have any allegiance to anything but the UN.
