Many pro Hamas people assaulted the White House fence in an effort enter the White House itself. Of course, the assault was stopped and they even arrested one of the perpetrators.

Now wait a minute. On January 6, how many did they arrest? In fact they arrested people who never entered the building. They are blaming it all on President Trump and he did all he could to prevent it.

I have two assumptions. 1. The dems wanted the recent assault on the White House. 2. They wanted the crowd to enter Capitol on Jan 6. It served their purposes in both cases. It is why Pelosi turned down the National Guard Trump offered. It why Eps waved people into the building and never spent a day in jail for it.

You don’t like the news. It’s all there in b&w for anyone who really wants to know.

Global Warming?

Not 1 trick-or-treater. That’s a first. Since we moved in in 1977, we have always had a few come by.

It reminded me of the old days. I was 5 the 1st year I remember. We were out till midnight and we collected our share of all kings of goodies. It did make me wonder why we didn’t have Halloween once a week, or at least one time each month. I certainly would not have complained at every other night.

When I moved out to Southern California, it was really neat. It was warm and some folks left their lights on till 2. I’d come home with a pillow case half full of all sorts of stuff.

Well, this year, it got cold, almost freezing. As near as I can tell, that was what stopped the crowds this year. Maybe there have been previous Halloweens that have been colder. I don’t know. However, this one sure stopped everything, cold, if you’ll excuse the pun.

However, it does seem to me that all the experts say we are all getting warmer. Well, just maybe they can explain that to all the trick-or-treaters.

Well, as for me, they would have had to tie me down when I was a kid. If I could walk to school in the snow, and I did, then I could go in search of candy in a near freeze.

Oh, and by the way, this will likely make all those who bought Reese’s peanut butter cups very happy. I mean, as the commercial says, it makes much more for us.

Religious Liberty

When this country was founded, right in the first amendment, we find one of the cornerstones of our freedom, freedom of religion. Some might find this odd, but Christian laws were made and enforced on day one. Many states required a man to be Christian to hold major political office.

Over the years, decades even, this has been changed. Indeed, it is getting more and more difficult for a Christian person to hold any major office. Worse yet, there are those who call themselves Christian who aren’t. In a way, they seek both the religious and non-religious vote at the same time. I have seen men claim that they are Christian while standing for many things that are obviously aren’t.

Then too, one would expect a Christian to be at least reasonably honest. I guess that is why many men who are Christians left the dems. More and more they are expected to lie and toe the line of the democrats.

Old Joe claims to be Catholic. Right now, he is not in good standing with the Catholic Church. More than that, I have never heard the man really proclaim to be Christian. Indeed, it is truly possible to be Catholic and not Christian. At first this might seem like a radical idea, but stop and think of all that the Catholics have done and taught over the millenniums. To be sure, even their leaders killed, tortured, robbed and deceived in the name of Catholicism.

At this point, it would appear, even the Catholics want to disown him, or at least most of them. Of course Old Joe and most of his cohorts, certainly Obama, have all come down strongly for freedom of religion, as long as it isn’t Christian.

Do you suppose this might say something about them? Maybe, just a little. Just maybe they like it when people can practice their religion freely, as long as they don’t practice Christianity.

The Side Effects

Just saw an interesting story on TV. The headline basically was that Tennessee was falling short on tax projected revenues. Why should this be a surprise to anyone? Yet it is. Some people just don’t get it. When the economy is good, tax revenues will be good. When the economy goes into the tank, then so will the revenues, being as most revenues in some way, are based on trade.

During President Trump’s early presidency, the economy and revenues were up, even at the state and local levels. Then along came the virus and the economy was partially shut down. Soon after, the revenues were dramatically reduced.

Surprise, surprise. The only way to truly increase revenue is to improve the economy. True; increases in taxes will temporarily increase revenue. However, in the long term, the economy determines the revenues. When taxes are too high, it chokes the economy and discourages production, enterprise, and, of course, buying.

Certainly other factors contributed: riots, mass looting in stores, intentional increases in energy prices and increases in tax rates contributed to economic downturns.

However, I put the primary cause on Fauci, who provided economic support to the development of the China virus, as well as making one decision after the next that resulted in disaster after disaster. However, the damage that Fauci caused did not stop in our pocketbooks. Many can attest to the horrid damage in human lives as well.

The Deceit is in How You Ask the Question

This evening I happened to land on Scriptts News Channel where they were declaring some things true and some things false. They presented the question and in an objective way they declared whether the the answer was true or false.

One question I found particularly interesting was, and I must quote this loosely as I did not have paper and pen at the time, Is the 3.2% COLA adjustment historically low this year?

I suspect the question should have been and likely was, was the COLA adjustment really reflective of the cost of living. Most of us could care less about past COLA adjustments. What we are concerned with is does the 3.2% really reflect the increase in the cost of living?

Naturally those representing Scriptts said that the COLA is relatively high compared with the last +- 14 years, which is true. However, they completely sidestepped the answer to the the real question.

And, by the way, I can answer that question. It was low this year and it was low last year. Both years combined is about ten percent, a little more. However, I cannot buy as many groceries with $200 that I use to pay $100 for. I take my car in for a repair that used to cost $600 and it cost $1100 or $1200. I had a battery replaced on my car and it cost $250. It was not that long ago they cost $30. Going out to eat costs more too, but, percentage wise, not as much as the groceries. And, oh yes. Let us not forget gas. If I weren’t retired, I don’t know if I could afford to get back and forth to work. (or I’d have to bicycle)

Every place you turn, the prices have doubled or nearly in the last two yours. And the COLA has gone up but 10%. Just try to tell me that Old Joe has us poor folks at heart. That is a bad joke. A joke because it is not true. Bad because it affects those that can afford it the least.

I can put up with the decrease in my spending power. However, I cannot and will not tolerate them insulting my intelligence. It is but one more reason I call them dems and it is but one more reason I call him Old Joe. And, if this keeps up, I will use all lower case letters when writing of him. If a leader will not respect those he leads, then he does not deserve our respect either, no matter his position.

My afterthought. The inflation caused by the dems and Old Joe has not only driven up the cost of living in the US, but globally. The price spent on oil went up globally, not just here. Hence, it went up in the poorer countries where they hurt even more than in the US. The only ones he helped were Iran and Putin. Well, I am sure he helped his own finances and his family’s.

Let’s Just Say, Not so Smart

I watched Old Joe’s speech tonight and I must admit, he did seem well aware of what was going on. It was delivered at a good cadence and seemed almost believable. His problem is this. I remember what things were like before he started messing things up on day 1 in office. Every one of the problems he spoke on he caused.

Okay, he didn’t give orders Putin to invade Ukraine; however, he did make it possible. When oil went up to $100 a barrel, it put a bunch of cash in Putin’s piggy bank that he would not have had if oil remained around $30 a barrel. Had Putin not had the money, he would not have been so likely to invade.

It is also true that Old Joe did not give the order for Hamas to attack Israel, however, between one thing and the other, he sure did finance it. Even now, he is doing what he can to keep Israel from fighting the war that he permitted. While Israel is trying to put a choke hold on Hamas, Old Joe just can’t wait to provide supplies in the back door.

Then he has the nerve to say we need money to deal with the problem on the border, which he, himself engineered, intentionally, on purpose and with intent.

Just one word for all that, DUMB… that is, unless he caused the problems intentionally. That too is very possible, maybe probable.

Then again, there are those who don’t like me using such direct language. So, let’s just say not so smart. Regardless of the logic or reason, Old Joe has a real mess on his hands now. Well, actually 3 or 4.

The Lessons of Gary Warren Hart

Few remember who Gary Hart is. To jar my memory, I even had to look him up on the internet. However, I do remember the history. Moreover, I am sure the democrats remember the lesson of that day.

First a brief reminder for one and all just who Gary Warren Hart is and was. In 1988 he was the forerunner for the Democrat party for president. It really looked as if it was almost a done deal. The former senator had passed on seeking another term as Colorado senator so that he could make his run at president. He had the right background. He was a graduate of Yale law school and divinity school. He had a history in the senate that drew the proper attention of the right people

His campaign was doing oh so well. Then, suddenly, it took a nose dive. It was reported that he, a married man was having an affair with a woman, Donna Rice. Things were said. Things were done to try to save his run at presidency. Finally, he saw the handwriting on the wall. He withdrew. And so it was that Dukakis lost in a landslide to George Bush senior.

Now that we remember the basic history, let’s look at the lessons learned by the dems. First of all, never again did they face the problems of morality. Right up front, they admit they they have none. They don’t care what kind of moral background their candidate has, they will stand behind him no matter how many affairs he has. In fact, I suspect that they would permit a man to run as a woman or a woman to run as a man. To them and their candidates, nothing matters. Moreover, it doesn’t seem to matter to those that vote for them. They have gotten their constituency lined up in lock-step behind them.

The second lesson that they learned, and by far the more important one, make sure the republican affairs get exposed, even if there are none. They saw how fast the support for Hart faded. They stood back and looked and said, “You know what? That just might work for us.”

And so it is that in every election since, or judge appointment, they have done a complete and total examination to see what they can find in their past. And they always find something, even if there is none. They have plenty of money to invent something.

You want a woman to have an affair with Clarence Thomas? No problem. Within days they find one and they likely didn’t even have to pay her much. The woman did not like Thomas and she made that clear. Did they have any proof? Who needs proof? All they need is an accusation.

In some cases, the person just might be guilty. The instant that a person in good standings starts to speak up against anything the dems hold sacred, they search out the person back to kindergarten. And, as I said, they lay it on.

Nowadays, if a person plans on running for any Republican office, they need to start thinking about it in preschool. No telling where they will go, how much they will pay to find something the person did that was, oh so unforgivable.

They have actually accomplished 2 things with this approach. First, anyone that dares run for public office gets exposed for his or her past, even if they have no past. This, of course forces them to withdraw or run crippled.

The second thing it does is that it keeps people from running. They see the damage the dems have done to others and most folks just don’t want to have anything to do with it. Let’s face it, the dems really liked President Trump, until he was president. Then they got busy digging up anything and everything. So far, after almost 8 years, they have presented nothing, no proof that he has done anything wrong. Even the woman that claims she had the affair with him was not able to prove it. And by the way, she disobeyed the law by coming forward.

Actually, any man that can stand up to that much for that long must be a man of real character. Either that, or those the dems have investigating him are real bumblers.

Going back to my main point. Let’s remember that the dems have learned the lessons of Gary Hart. Let’s remember that not all accusations leveled on Republicans are true. Secondly, let’s let that little incident in second grade be forgotten. There just aren’t that many of us that have perfect pasts. We are going to need to ignore some of those 30 and 40 year old skeletons.

By the way, some have actually reformed over the years. You might remember that Reagan started out as a Democrat. Better to look at what a person is than what he was.

He Just Can’t Help it

It’s true. The Jews are handling the situation just fine. They are dealing with the terrorists and they are driving them away. They will kill some and they capture some. Who knows, they just might have rescued some of those who were captured.

Then along comes Old Joe. That’s right. He’s got to put his foot in the middle of things. Or is it his nose? Either way, I guess we can’t blame the old man. He just can’t help it. It is genetic. When things are going along smooth, it is in his nature to mess it all up.

After a week of saying that we have Israel’s back, Old Joe is busy putting a knife in their back. He’s telegraphing the message, “Do not kill civilians or else.” “Don’t drop any bombs on civilian targets.” And on it goes. I don’t know exactly what Joe’s cohorts said, but I am sure that Israel got the message. By the way, so did Hamas. It means all they have to do is hide behind the civilians and no one will hurt them. No one will drop any bombs on them and no one shoot at them.

Old Joe is good at telegraphing the message. Everyone and his cousin is well aware of it. He made it very clear to one and all.

Incidentally, it sort of takes away an element from the IDF’s method. They won’t be able to use any bluffs. If the IDF says we are going to shoot you, the Hamas folks will change out of their uniforms and into their civies and dance around as they say, “Na, na… na, naa. You can’t shoot at me. I am a civilian. Your friend your president will not like it.”

I really wish Old Joe would just go back down into his basement. Because he eliminated the bluff, the IDF will more likely have shoot. It is more likely more civilians will be killed. And, when it is all over, it won’t be. Another five or ten years, we will have to go through it all over again.

It seems Old Joe doesn’t know how to save lives. Or maybe he does and doesn’t want to. It just might be that he doesn’t like Israelis. It is certainly the way he and Obama treated them.

Though I frequently fail, I try to do what is wright and avoid doing that which is wrong. It is almost always that the easier, more desirable is wrong. If I realize I have done something wrong, I try to admit it, first to myself and then to others.

On the other hand, our president seems to have it backward. After doing what he knows is wrong, he refuses to admit, certainly not to himself.

Just so We Get This Straight

I’d like to ask this one question, just to clarify things.

Just how many Israelis attacked Hamas? Oh, that would be zero.

I would like to inquire just how started this war?

May I as how many babies did the Israelis kill prior to the attack? I’m not real sure, but I think that would be zero. The Jews certainly did not cut off the heads of any babies, nor did they intentionally burn any.

Do you suppose someone can tell me, just how many rockets were sent toward Israel before Israel retaliated with just one. My best guess…right around 100, likely a few more.

No one, but no one is responsible for the loss of one life over there in the Middle East other than Hamas. It is as Netanyahu said. “If the Arabs put down their weapons today, there would be no more violence. If the Jews put down their weapons, there would be no more Israel.”

The truth is that it’s not peace that the Hamas want. It’s the Hebrew land…all of it. As the Jews send in troops and weapons into the Gaza strip, it would be wise to remember this.

In very little time there will be those trying to talk Israel into a cease fire. I don’t recall anyone saying any such thing to the Hamas. Does the outrage stop the instant the Jews have killed as many Hamas as the number of Jews killed by Hamas? Is that the way it works?

The death will only stop when Hamas realizes that they will pay a much larger price for their terrorizing than that which they cause on the Jews. I am not sure it will stop then.

Until the world, especially the UN, gets that straight, peace will be nothing more than a five letter word.
