“The New Green Deal?”

First, there is nothing new about communism.  It is as old as Marx, though it has been called by many different things.

Second, though it has been tried dozens of times, it has never succeeded.  I’m not saying it usually failed or even most of the time.  It has always failed.

Finally, it is a means to an end.  Vicious people have used it to gain control over people.  Stalin, might have been the first, but he was not the last.  In the name of the ideal society, he killed millions, many of them farmers.  Indeed, he killed more than Hitler.  History is full of people who promised the heaven and presented hell.  In each and every case, it has ended in a dictatorship where even thoughts are controlled.  What I say has been true 100% of the time.

In each case, those who rose to power climbed over the poor and abused.  A person would have to be blind to see that it is the same method they would like to use in the US.  Of course, they say they are different than the dictators.  Yet, they have no scruples.  They use lies, deception and trickery in every direction.  It is not to make things better for us, but rather to acquire power for them.  If they succeed, they will live in luxery while the rest of us suffer.  It is the pattern.  They don’t care about the poor and abused.  They are nothing more than tools.  When they have control, they will be worse off than before.  By the way, so will the rest of us.

An Alert to the Citizens of N.Y. City

Trucks and freight trains run on fossil fuel.  Trucks and freight trains carry food into the city of New York.  If we do away with fossil fuel (Diesel fuel) the people will starve.  Simple fact.

…and people people have a hard time believing my books.  At least I label my books as fiction.  The Dummycrats expect us to accept this fiction as science.

Bottom line… it is about power, not saving the planet.

Cars, Planes and Trains

I have always had a fascination with trains.  I guess most kids do, but most people grow out of it.  If I had it to do over again, I might have chosen to work, in some way, with trains.  I think I would have really liked to be a conductor.

I especially like the old steam trains.  Most think that the old steam locomotives were replaced because they didn’t have the power that the Diesel does.  Actually, that isn’t true.  The old steam engines had plenty of power.  …and by the way, they were fast too.  Casey Jones often pushed his train at one-hundred miles-an-hour.  Besides, his engine was not the newest.  The newest engines were powered by steam turbines.  They were not only powerful, but they were also very efficient.

The downfall of the steam engine was maintenance.  If they could have used good clean water, they would not have had to have nearly so much maintenance, but the old boilers required a lot of regular work.

That aside, the dummycrats would like to see us abandon our cars and planes and use trains.  That won’t work.  A 747 can carry around 350 passengers.  It seems odd and counter-intuitive, but that is about the number of passengers that the average train carries.  That means, while trains are okay for short runs, they are horrible for the long haul.

Besides, there are just some places trains can’t go.  The tourist’s trade of Hawaii might have some real complaints if we did away with planes.  Moreover, train tracks require a lot of maintenance and, oddly, they are nowhere near as safe as commercial airlines.

Finally, it would never happen anyway.  Those congressmen would never let it happen.  It already takes Pelosi five hours to fly between San Francisco and D.C.  I do not think she would want to spend three days riding a train each way.

Oh yes, one more thing.  You try taking those keys away from those California drivers and you will have a fight on your hands.  That is not going to happen.  I would like to see them try that.  It would turn the state from blue to red overnight.

Oxygen Generaters

I have come to the conclusion that oxygen generators are likely the greatest medical invention in recent history, though the name is a little misleading.  They don’t generate oxygen.  Oxygen is an element.  There is no way to create it or destroy it, that is, without resorting to fision or fusion.

Some call them oxygen concentrators.  You see theywork by filtering out the nitrogen in the air.  Once that is done, the vast remainder of what is left is oxygen.  The concentration is enough so that it is considered pure oxygen, though it does still contain some carbon dioxide and other trace gases.

Though the advantages of concentrators are many, some are not quickly noticed. Certainly, the tanks are heavier and don’t last as long. …but more than that, they are safer. Oxygen in its pure state is very dangerous. One small tank of oxygen can cause devistating damage.

Though oxygen does not burn, there are compounds that burn vigorously in the presence of pure oxygen. Steel wool smolders in normal atmosphere. In pure oxygen, it bursts into flames. A few hospitals have had blankets saturated with oxygen burst into fire. (one of many reasons to keep smoking from hospitals)
The concentrator pumps the oxygen only to the nose of the patient. This drastically reduces the volume of oxygen at any one time. Moreover, the concentrator does not increase the oxygen levels in the room. If you put an oxygen concentrator in a room and turn it up all the way, there will not be one bit more oxygen in the room, even after hours of letting it run. I must admit that the tanks generally don’t add much oxygen to a room, but they do add some.

Most people, however could care less about this aspect of the concentrators. The things are small, lightweight and simple to operate. Best yet, when plugged into a wall socket or cigarette lighter in a car, they will continue to run for months with little or no maintenence.

Although I don’t use them, nor do I know anyone that does, I would definately give this invention five stars, maybe six.

“Let the Buyer Beware!”

Those who know me know that I am very much in favor of capitalism.  However, there are some who take advantage of capitalism for dishonest endeavors.  Whenever such things happen, the government ought to take reasonable measures to prevent such things.

By the way, such things are not new.  In the Pirates of Penzance by Gilbert & Sullivan, the pirate king claims that he is relatively honest.  He raises the skull and crossbones, and everyone knows what he and his men intend.  The businessman wears a business suit and robs people blind.  Moreover, those that are most likely to steal are those who are members of the bar association.

Well, today I received a letter from a dishonest business.  You may ask, “How do you know it is a dishonest business?”

To which, I say, it is simple.  On the letterhead, I saw “Medicare.com.”  It is an effort to deceive.  It was not from the government.  The Medicare website is Medicare.gov.  There was a disclaimer at the bottom of the letter.  I am sure they want everyone to read it.  On the other hand, if one out of a hundred doesn’t read it, the deception is successful.

For the most part, I did not read the letter.  I cannot tell you what it says.  However, I will tell you who it is from.  I will let you draw your own conclusion as to their honesty.  I will let you decide if you want to do business with them.  As for me, I will not give them the time of day.

They identify themselves as eHealthinsurance agency in New York and Oklahoma.  I would hope you will practice one capitalist saying, “Let the buyer beware.”

President Trump’s #1 Accomplishment

President Trump has accomplished so much that it is difficult to determine just which is his greatest accomplishment.  While he has not yet completely replaced Obama Care, it is all but gone.  In a year or so,  it will no longer exist; other than in our memories, or more accurately, our nightmares.

Certainly, he has done wonders for our economy.  He has brought back a bunch of jobs, particularly in manufacturing.  Some might not like it, but he has challenged the countries of Russia, China and Iran.  He pulled us out of The Paris Climate Conference, which would have been disastrous for our economy.

I am sure I have left out one or two things, but I have come to the conclusion that we have overlooked the one thing that was most important.  I say ‘we’ because, until this evening, I never considered it.

To the best of my knowledge, no one else has mentioned it, leastwise not directly.  In indirect ways, many have talked around it.  Some have even denied it, though they had no idea of it.

Actually, in a way, President Trump has come close to speaking on it, though I am sure it was not his intention.  His accomplishment will change things forever, regardless of anything else he has done.  It will change this nation for both liberals and conservatives, for Republicans and dummycrats.  The dummycrats would like to deny it, but, when and if confronted, they will have to admit it.

President Trump has exposed the media bias.  No more will people ever trust the news media.  Some will not trust the big newspapers and networks.  Many will not trust the conservative outlets.  To be sure, no one will ever have the total trust of all of us, as did Walter Cronkite.

Good Guys Finish Last?

To some degree, the adage “nice guys finish last” has again been proven true.  Because President Trump did not want the federal employees to continue to lose their pay; because Pelosi could care less about those who were suffering, the nice guy – President Trump lost.  The heartless one – Pelosi won.

In the end, however, the good guys may yet win.  If Pelosi goes back on her word, as she has done so many times before, President Trump can still come out victorious.  He can declare the emergency and build the wall anyway.  What’s more, he might build it bigger and longer.  Then Pelosi will be the one with egg on her face.  The real villain will lose and the people will see how effective it is.   Finally, in the end, the people will see how much of a liar Pelosi is.

Of course, it should not be a surprise to anyone.  After all, she is a dummycrat and lying is what dummycrats do.

BUILD THE WALL!!!

Apologies

Seems that there are a bunch of apologies being made by the dummycrats recently, especially by the ones thinking about running for president.  I can’t say for sure, but I suspect they all have one thing in common.  They are all likely empty apologies.  Then again, I might be wrong.  They might actually be real.  After all, they are dummycrats.  They might have just been lying, either before or now.  Your guess is as good as mine as to which.

Pravda v Our Mainstream News Media

Pravda printed propaganda because the Soviet Union made them, more or less at the point of a gun.

The American mainstream media prints propaganda because they want to.

Other than that, I can’t see a whole lot of difference. They both bolster the benefits of socialism and rail the horrors of capitalism.  They both say how wonderful it is for one central government to run everything and the horrors of individual thought.

Remember these things:

1. Deceit does not always require a lie.  Sometimes an element of truth is more deceiving than the lie.

2. For those who like their welfare: Not everyone who gives you things is your friend.  Often, gifts are given with an element of control.  Those who give you bread today, seek to tell your children how to live, and think.  (Our forefathers gave us freedom.  Do you want to give your children bondage and tyranny.)

3. We ought to do that which is right, regardless of the penalty.  We ought not do that which is wrong, regardless of the reward.

To be sure, President Trump is trying to do that which saves lives and protects our freedom.  The dummycrats are doing all they can to stand in his way.  It is because of the open border that people seek to enter illegally, often costing their lives and freedom.  They are in favor of laws that act like magnets, such as welfare for all and college for illegal aliens that encourage their long and dangerous trek.  They make it almost impossible to send them back, which often endangers the lives of those who legally live here.  And, by the way, it also endangers the lives of those who live here illegally.

It is the dummycrats that offer free things, all the while sizing control of the government.  Once they control our government, the welfare will stop and the tyranny will begin.  It is the pattern.  It is the way it was in Russia.  It is the way it was in China.  It was what happened in Cuba and Venezuela.  Now people who live in these countries risk their lives to live here.  Once we become as they are, where do we go to seek freedom?  To what land do we go to to think as we want without the thought police looking over our shoulder.

You say it won’t happen here as it did there.  Have you taken a good look at our college campuses?  The liberals already rule those institutions, there ones that are supposed to encourage free thought.  The government is already telling us who we can do business with.  The thought police are right around the corner.  Soon they will tell us what we can or can’t preach in church.  For that matter, they just might try to do away with the churches altogether.

One world government is what the socialists seek.  It is what Karl Marx taught.  It was his ultimate goal.  It was to do away with war.  But when the government that rules the world is bad, what recourse do freedom lovers have?

Possible Wall Building Materials

I know.  I am not a design engineer.  I barely graduated high school.  So maybe this thought is all wet.  None the less, I just have to suggest it.

First there is the there is possibility of using clear plastic.  It would probably be a good idea to enclose some kind of wire mesh for strength.  It would have three big advantages, maybe four or five.  It could be built very fast.  It could easily be repaired. There is no way for someone to climb a smooth plastic surface.  To be sure, it would be transparent.  I am guessing that plastic is less expensive than steel.  In cars, they keep replacing steel with plastic, I guess, because it is less expensive.  It is certainly lighter and likely easier to mold.

My second consideration is fiberglass.  I am sure that fiberglass would have most of the advantages of plastic but it would not be clear. Still, plastic windows could be built into it.  I don’t know how fiber glass compares in cost with steel, but they sure build a lot of boats from it.  If must be at least competitive with steel.  Moreover, it is far easier to repair than steel or plastic.  In all likelihood, the patch could be made stronger than the the original wall.  The fiberglass would also have one more big advantage.  Sensors could easily be hidden in the wall that could sense noise and changes in light.  Also, speakers could be installed so that warnings and/or sirens can go off the instant someone tries to go over or under the wall.

Maybe someone out there who has some knowledge on the subject can tell if I am going astray with these thoughts.  Certainly, if plastic or fiberglass is better, someone else would have thought of it.

Actually, I just had another thought.  The plastic could have gravel inside it.  I’m not sure, but I think maybe small rocks or gravel might be less expensive plastic.  It just might also have a side benefit, it might have real nice esthetic values.

Regardless, it might be a good idea to coat the wall on both side with some good slick grease.  First, it will make it more difficult to climb.  Second, no one wants to get grease all over themselves.  Third, if someone does manage to scale the wall, it will be easy to tell.  He will will have grease on him.
