Fish Bowls

The solution for the China Virus:  We can all go around with bubbles resembling fish bowls on our heads and pump filtered air into them.  This would not only stop all spreading of the virus but all other other airborne diseases as well.

Who knows?  After two or three years, we might even eliminate the flu and even the common cold.

Okay.  I am being facetious about something serious.  Well, I guess that is a bit redundant.  After all, that is the meaning of facetious.

Still, we can truly carry things to an extreme.  The question is, just how much of an extreme do we want or need.  More important, how much of an extreme can we live with.  It would appear that we can utterly destroy the disease by locking ourselves in our houses and never seeing the light of day as a bunch of doomsday preppers.  However, after we leave our homes, what do we enter, a wasteland?

It is important for us to be level headed about this.

First, and most important, we need to protect the elderly.  All I have is a high school degree and even I knew this back in January.  Apparently some of our governors didn’t know and that accounts for about a third or more of the deaths in their states.

Second, we need accurate reporting.  This does not include people dying from motorcycle accidents being counted with those who die from the virus.  Really.  Do any of those statisticians have their head on straight?  Do any of these people with these big highfalutin advanced degrees have any common sense?  Frequently, I think not.

Third, those who have been identified as having the virus should receive doses of  hydroxychloroquine.  Some say it is dangerous.  If it is,thousands of others would be dead including yours truely.  The stuff is given regularly to people all over the tropics to prevent malaria.  If it were that dangerous, it would have been noted after almost 5 decades of use.  Some say it doesn’t work.  That is not certain.  One thing is certain.  It won’t work if people don’t take it.  If in fact it doesn’t work, it will be easily proven out in a few months.  The alternative is to let folks die because it might not work.  Again, common sense!

Forth, keep transit system use to a minimum (trains, buses, planes and such)  It has already become obvious that the disease spreads rapidly in such environments.  As near as I can tell from news reports, one man going from the suburbs of New York to New York City infected at least three people in one day.  Moreover, anywhere the transit systems are used, the disease spreads far more rapidly than in areas where people rely on cars.

To be sure, there are many other things we can do but they should be common sense things.  Encouraging riots while disallowing church services does not fall into the common sense category.  That falls in the category of dumb.  All rules, whatever they are, should be universal.  They should not be based on a person’s voter registration.

It would seem logical to me that gathering mobs is a bad tactic on a purely political aspect.  The riots would have a tendency to spread the disease mainly among the rioters: mostly democrats, socialists and communists.

“Crazy Nuts”

“Crazy Nuts” is the title of one of my books.  The title comes from the main character, Kathy.  In the book, she explains that her mother wouldn’t let her call people stupid.  She was told it was impolite and it didn’t sound nice.  So she starts using the word crazy instead.  Then, if something is really stupid, she calls it crazy nuts.

The reason this was brought to mind was a news story I just heard to change the name of Columbus, Ohio to Flavortown.  Now that is not just crazy.  That is crazy nuts and I defy anyone to deny it.

Experience

Without a doubt, we can say that the wise person learns from his experience.  However, as for me, I like to profit from the experience of others.  Mostly, it costs me less.  Then again, maybe I am wrong.  After all, I am hardly one to give advice.  I am basically living off my Social Security at 72.  (Some retirement)

Nonetheless, I have no bills other than insurance, utilities and taxes.  Unless some unforeseen disaster comes along, I’ll do just fine.

Then I look at all these cities governments that want to do away with their police.  OK.  Fine.  I don’t think it is such a good idea but if that’s what they really want, it is their decision to live with.  Even so, I suggest they hold off for a month or two.  When the other cities meet with disaster, then the cities that hold back will be able to learn from the mistakes of the others.

On the other hand, if your city officials launch right out and do away with the police right away, then the other cities will learn your mistake and so will you.  Then, all the police you did have will be gone and reorganizing a new department will take far too long, not to mention the time it will take to replace all the police officers.

By the way, in this case, the cost of the experience might be more than money.  It will very likely cost lives as well: black, brown and white.  It will likely hit the blacks worst of all.  That would make the lesson very expensive for you and even more for your constituents.  Then again, I have been wrong a time or two.  It just might cost you far more than you would ever have ever thought.

Then, we all will be able to file this under dumb ideas.  The tragedy is that still won’t learn.  It is the nature of dummycrats.  They keep trying the same old things and expecting something different.  The fact is, there are some folks who are bad and need to be locked up, for their good as well as society.  To do this, we need police, district attorneys and courts.  Without them, even some honest people break the law.

Poor Bernie

This post references my post of “An Unusual Situation,” Jan 21

For a long time, I puzzled over why the dummycrats allowed Bernie Sanders to run under their flag, so to speak.  I finally figured it out.  If I figured, all these college grads should have figured it out long ago.  Apparently, they didn’t.  It is either that or they decided to let the reason remain unsaid, though I can’t imagine that it is a secret.

The simple reason is that the dummycrats don’t want to split the liberal vote.  That is to say, if they don’t let him run as a dummycrat, he just might run as an independent.  This would definitely assure a win for President  Trump.

On the other hand, they can’t let him win the nomination.  They don’t want him carrying the flag.  To be sure, he is too liberal for most dummycrats.  As such, if he wins the nomination, President Trump is sure to win.

Can you spell conundrum?  They have to let him hope, but they have to make sure he doesn’t win.  Hence, they had to cheat him last time and they will have to cheat him again.  However, they must not make it obvious.  They have to keep it a secret or the Bernie supporters will become angry and sit out the election.  Worse yet, they just might vote the Republican ticket.

If you are one of those dummycrats, you just might want to keep this under your hat.  You will want it to remain a secret.  On the other hand, if you are a Bernie supporter, you might want to make sure the word gets around.

If you’re a Republican, like me, well, we can just sit back and watch the whole thing.  You might find it amusing as do I.  I don’t think you want to spoil the secret.  It is so much fun to see the dummycrats in such disarray.

Something to Look Forward to

What three things do San Francisco, Chicago and New York have in common?  That’s right.  Their governments are led by dummycrat liberals and all three are in desperate financial straits.  Indeed, almost, if not all major cities in this country now have dummycrats in charge.  Moreover, the longer they have been in charge, the worse off they are.  By the way, their situation is only getting worse day by day.

Also, if an honest person was to analyze the state leaderships, they would likely find the same pattern.  Look at New York and California.  I lived in California pretty much until I was twenty.  Ronald Reagan was the last true Republican governor there.

When Ronald Reagan took charge, he set the state on financial solid ground and poverty was almost non-existent.  Since he left office there, it has done nothing but go downhill.

I had some hope when Arnold Schwarzenegger went into office.  I must admit he disappointed me.  Well, I guess I can’t complain.  I had long left the state behind.  I found it too crowded among other things.

I must say that I’m not sorry I left.  Per capita, it now has the largest number living in poverty.  Most of the major cities have folks living on the streets, which causes the risk of all kinds of disease.  Though I miss the weather, the beaches and mountains, I hate to see what the dummycrats have done to my home state.  Apparently, I’m not the only one.  People, those that are able, are leaving the state.  By the way, they are also leaving Illinois, New York (especially the city), New Jersey, etc.

Now it would appear the dummycrats want to do the same thing to the country as they did to California and New York.  They aren’t happy messing up their own states.  They want to ruin the rest of the country too.  I suspect they will have some success with it, much to my dismay.  However, hopefully, they will discover the error of their ways before too long.  Otherwise, we will all have to put up with the same type of life as those in New York, or even California.

If it were just for a while, it might not be so bad.  However, one of the first things those dummycrats want to do is destroy our national defenses.  They also want to open our borders.  After a few years of that, there would be no reversing things.  The US as we know it will cease to exist.  Instead of living like those in California, we will be living like those in Russia or maybe China.  Eventually, we just might have to put up with lives like those in Venezuela.  Instead of the paradise the dummycrats are promising us we will live in the equivilant of a prison or even a dungeon.  At that point, they will want to build walls.  Only, instead of keeping others out, they will be needed to keep us in.

Now I ask you… is that something to look forward to?
