Progress

I’ve been doing some thinking. I know. As my wife says, “That is dangerous.”

However, I have lived quite a while and I’ve seen a lot of changes over those years. You might find this strange, but when I was in grade school, passenger jetliners were something talked about in Popular Mechanics. Few figured we would soon be flying coast to coast non-stop in about 6 or 7 hours. Would you believe now, a person can get on a plane in New York and fly non-stop nowadays. I actually looked up the travel time but forgot. In the days of the prop jobs, a flight between California and Hawaii was just about as far as a plane could go.

Color TV existed but it was very rare and flesh tones were often yellow or green. The grass in the football and baseball games was generally some shad of gray or even black. A color TV, at best, was about 60 or 70 pounds. It was just as well. There were very few color shows in color.

It was a time before movie ratings. All movies had to be decent. Now we have a rating. And of course, very few of them are rated G. Those that are rated PG are always pushing the envelope. On the other hand, some producers seek the R rating in order to draw more to the box office. I guess some call that progress.

Then we came up with cable, which allowed the R and X rated into our homes. I am sure there are those who call that progress.

The schools can no longer teach creationism. Instead, they must teach the religion of atheism. To be sure, the country is full of those who think of this as progress. To me, it is more like progressing in the wrong direction.

The newest, the most talked about progress these days, well, let’s just do away with the Constitution, especially the Bill of Rights. It is just a bunch of old antiquated ideas anyway that were thought of centuries ago. All they do is get in the way of the new ideas. It would seem that all they do is get in the way of progress. They are simply out of phase with the bright new idea of communism.

And of course, we have changed who makes the decision. The mother can chose if the baby lives or dies instead of the baby.

How horrible the progress.

Missing the Point

There is a lot of hoopla about the way that hunter’s plea deal was thrown out. The point is that Hunter Biden was standing ready to admit to committing three major crimes. The fact that it was thrown out had not one thing to do with those three things but rather other things that he has not yet gone to court for.

This tells me two things. One, he is guilty of other things. That is why that was part of the deal. Two, that he is guilty of the three things to which he admitted, though he was not going to get anywhere near the punishment he deserved. One of those laws is a gun control law, for which the dems have been seeking. The law serves no purpose if it is not enforced, for poor and rich; for the small and highly influential. Why is it the Hunter get a break. We keep hearing no body is above the law. I guess I must assume then that Hunter is the no body they reference.

Bottom line, in essence, he is an admitted criminal, with friends in the Justice Department and a Dad in The White House.

New Shot for the Virus

Recently heard about another booster shot for the China virus. If you ask me if I’m going to take it, that would be a no!

Don’t mind taking a shot or two when the effectiveness has not be proven, but this is ridiculous. After, what two or three years, not only can’t they prove it has any effectiveness, it seems obvious that the only effect it has is negative. People have died from that shot, you know. Yet, it seems it will not even slow the effect of the disease. Since I have had the shot, I have had the virus twice. I don’t think the shot works. I’d much rather take the Hydroxycloroquine. It has better proven results than the dumb shots. More important, I know it won’t kill me, as the shot might.

It is another reason I call the old man Joe. He tried to force the men in the armed forces to take an experimental drug. Those who refused to take it, he made them leave the armed forces. That’s not just nuts. That is crazy nuts. It’s one more thing he will not be able to explain to Jesus when he sees Jesus face-to-face. My best guess, from his appearances, form his mannerisms, that does not seem to be much into the future.

Recharging

I didn’t plan on another post tonight, but when I started talking about generators, the thought occurred to me that I might use a generator to recharge my new car. I am sure there are many variables that I am not aware of, but, as near as I can tell, right off the bat, I would need one that puts out 220 volts at 30 amps to charge the car in five hours… or there about. I am sure if I am wrong, someone will tell me.

The trunk of the car is big enough, though lifting it in and out might be a problem. Besides, I don’t think that is quite what Old Joe had in mind when he suggested electric cars. Still, if I am close to right, as near as I can tell, it would mean driving the car for three hours and charging the car for five.

I know I can’t possibly have the math right. I didn’t spend but a few minutes on it. Even though I know it is not practical, I do find the idea a little amusing, or is the proper word intriguing. The real point of carrying around my own recharge port is for emergencies. First. What happens if I get to the place on the map where there is suppose to be a charger and I find a sign, “out of order?”

I mean, you know, when an airplane takes off from an aircraft carrier, he is committed. He must be able to find and land on that carrier after completing his mission. There are no alternatives. Same with the car. You commit to the road trip and you are committed to finding a place that can and will recharge your car. Indeed, it just might be almost as difficult as landing that big jet on a carrier on a calm sea during daylight.

It is fine for me. I stay around the area. I know places where I can charge the car. I don’t need to recharge it for another week or so after that. I write this to let others know who are considering the idea of going electric. As near as I can tell, the infrastructure is just not quite ready.

My original idea was that gas stations would start having charging stations installed. That is a problem. At best the car will take 40 minutes to charge. While that is occurring, the car is occupying that real estate. That is an expensive proposition.

The more likely approach, and the one that seems to be taking place is that the chargers are being installed at restaurants and hotels. Some restaurants welcome the traffic. They sell more hamburgers. The car is going to take up the real estate anyway while the driver and family is eating. Sometimes this works out well but not always.

The hotel is more likely to work well. The driver can pull in for the night. While the car is charging, the driver is getting some needed shuteye. In the morning, the driver gets in his fully charged car and off he goes.

The thing is, what happens when you get to the hotel or restaurant and find out the charger is broke, being used by someone else, or, maybe the map your using got it wrong. Now you’re looking for another charger. If you bring along your own generator. No problem. You get out the generator, start it and hook it up to the car.

Five hours later, you can come back, pack up the generator and take off.

Well, there is one more possible complication. You know that friend of Old Joe. The thief that the judge refused to put in jail. Well, he’s on the loose and he just found your generator and ran off with it. It seems he thinks he can put it to use better than you.

It’s sort of the problem with generators. If you don’t nail them down, they have a tendency to wonder off, sort of, kind of, all by themselves. Then of course, no one sees it. No one knows which way it went. Now you just lost your generator. Worse, the thief didn’t even let the charge complete. You now have three hundred miles to go on twenty mile charge. That will not work.

Sounds like time to call a tow truck, or Old Joe. Which one do you think will be more reliable?

Why Old Joe

From time to time, I think I need to re-explain the title. I have before but that was a long time ago. Some have forgotten why, some never knew. Not everyone goes back through all my posts to see what I said years ago. Okay. I admit it. No one does, though they really should.

The way I think of it, some people just don’t deserve to be called president. Old Joe is one of them. When he gave the command to leave Afghanistan as he did, people died. Girls who had been going to school, with out encouragement, suffered and some died. Translators, who we made deals with, were left in the lurch. Many of them died.

It is quite conceivable that in the turmoil, many of the enemy boarded our aircraft and ended up on our shores. Biden abandoned an airbase just a few miles away from the Chinese border. That was a double whammy. We abandoned supplies that those friendly to the US could have used. Instead, the enemy had them, as well as the Chinese. The only way I could figure that one was that it was intentional. After all, his son, who Joe did not know what Hunter was doing made many deals with the Chi-coms. Can we say, maybe, possibly, he just might have known what he was doing, though, over and over he tried to convince us otherwise.

Then, afterward…after it was done, Old Joe stood in front of the whole world and lied. he said that he would not abandon any US citizens left behind. Yeah. Now we all know that wasn’t just a lie but a blatant lie. How quickly it is all forgotten by most. Not by me. It is why he has no respect from me, not even for his office, which, by the way, he acquired illegally. He occupies the Oval Office, but he is by no means my president. If I were still in the corps, at the risk of being disciplined, I would not have saluted him. I suspect there are many who agree with me on that.

A president who does not respect his armed forces certainly does not deserve the respect the men in the armed forces. And of course, he drummed good men out of the armed forces for not taking a shot that was not proven, even suspect. For that reason alone the man ought to spend the rest of his days in the hoosegow. I assure you, if I could speak to him, face to face, I would tell him all this. Moreover, I know I am not alone in this.

The dems are just as guilty as he. They watched all this and still give him their support. Just what are they thinking?

I Know Nothing Defense

Old Joe has decided to use the old “I know nothing.” defense for years now. Of course the words were made famous by John Banner in the character of Sgt Schultz on the relatively popular Hogan’s Heroes. Of course it was not always the same. Sometimes it was, “I hear nothing.” or “I see nothing.”

For quite a while now, it appeared that the method was going to work for Old Joe but here lately, it would appear that the defense is starting to fall apart. That is to say, it is developing cracks. Like, “If you knew nothing, why did you keep getting money from Hunter’s business deals.” “Why does Hunter complain that Pops keeps taking half of it.” “If you know nothing, why are you so quick to deny anything to do with what Hunter does or says.”

Actually, the defense is far older than Hogan’s Heroes. I don’t know who first used the defense but it started with the words, “Plausible deniability.” It is at least as old as Al Capone and I am sure he learned of it from some of his friends. The idea is simple. You let the thugs do all the bad stuff and you never soil your fingers with it. If your thugs get caught, they are punished and you go free. You provide a good lawyer for the thugs. If they get convicted, no big deal. They get a big payoff when they leave the big-house.

This one just might have a few twists though. I don’t think Hunter likes the idea of going to prison. Before he is locked up, we just might find out how well he sings.

There is one other aspect that is different. Old Joe just might not outlive the deal. After all he is getting old. He is losing his mind. Even if Hunter does turn state’s evidence, Old Joe just might be found incapable of assisting in his defense. You can’t convict a man like that. At best, you can confine him to a place where… hum m. Just where do you confine folks who are guilty but you can’t prove it. The old man just might get away with it yet. He just might have a big laugh from that old folks home, the one with the view and the eight-man staff just for him. That is of course, beside the secret service agents.

Success

I have had no formal training as an evangelist. If I were fortunate enough to address an audience of a hundred and 3 of them made decisions to accept Jesus as their savior, I would consider it a success. If it were 5, I would be ecstatic.

I guess most preachers would hope for something greater than that; maybe 10 or 12. I mean, when the plan of salvation is presented, it is usually rejected. I really don’t have the foggiest idea why. It is really a good thing to accept Jesus as your savior. Yet, many reject him. I suspect, mostly the things of this world are more important to them than their eternal souls.

Well, some have better success than others. Billy Graham certainly had his success. He had a mostly simple straightforward way to present the plan of salvation and certainly God did his part. Paul, the one who wrote much of the New Testament presented the gospel to his thousands, and in a way, he is still helping to persuade people to accept the Lord today through the printed word.

A person might ask, who could possibly be more successful than that? Yet there is one, percentage-wise, who has us all beat. Moreover, he had a very simple sermon. “Forty more days and Nineveh will be overthrown.” Simple and straightforward as it was, it apparently had 100% effectiveness. Everyone who heard the words repented and worshiped God.

Wow! I wish I could have that kind of success. However, there were two more things that made the conversion different. First, Jonah did just about all he could to keep it all from happening. He hated the people of Nineveh and he did not want to see them saved. In other words, perhaps the most successful preacher in history wanted to be an outright failure. Secondly, when the people repented God relented and did not destroy the city. Now that angered Jonah and he pitched a fit. (my interpretation)

In essence, it appeared God used Jonah’s rebellion for success. After all, it was very likely that the people of that great city knew of Jonah and what all he went through to keep from going to the city. When they saw Jonah arrive, when they all saw the sad expression on Jonah’s face, the people likely decided that God did really did mean it and that if they didn’t repent something bad was going to happen.

Now, that was success. Oddly, it was his determination to fail that made it succeed. It does make me wonder. What would have happened if Jonah would have done as he was told immediately. Maybe his success would have been 80% or 70%. I don’t know. It’s a guess and likely not a good one. Maybe, had Jonah done as he was told, no one would have listened and the city would have been destroyed, which was the very thing Jonah wanted.

At any rate, the people of that great city backslid and went back to their previous ways. Then, God did as he said he would. The city was destroyed so badly that some doubted the story of Jonah. No one could find the city. Then, one day they did. They not only found proof of its existence but also of its destruction. I have no idea if Jonah lived to see it or not. At any rate, those people did have their second chance and they ignored it.

I just wonder, how much is God going take from the US before he destroys this great country? At this point, I’m not sure we are not that much better than Nineveh. How long will God allow us to ignore his messengers and destroy the US?

Just as He destroyed that great city, He can also destroy this great nation. He needs no one’s permission and He need not send any warnings. We have the examples of the Bible. If we ignore them, then we will likely ignore any other warnings.

Certainly, one of those things that He will not overlook is the killing of babies. Children are very special to Him. Calling it family planning does not make it look one iota better to Him

Reference, My post “What’s in a Name” this date

In my previous post, I said I could not find the quote. Well I did. It was on CNN by Dana Bash. Others might have said it too, but, according to Fox News and the Internet, she did make the statement though I did not get it exact.

What she said was “Taking politics aside, if you change the name from Hunter Biden to Joe Smith, you would say, ‘You know what, that’s not fair.'”

Truth is if his name was Joe Smith, all those from other countries would not have given him 20 million. Fact is, it was because his name was Hunter Biden that he got all the money. It was because he relied on the name while he made the deals. If his name had been Joe Smith, he would not have been able to make two cents.

That is why it is a bribe. That is why it is and should be illegal. That is why both he and his father ought to take up residency in a federal pen. However, it is because of reporters like Dana Bash that they likely won’t. That’s okay. They won’t get away with it. Whatever they don’t pay for in this life, they will suffer for in the next. By the way, that goes for the Dana Bashes (reporters) of the country. They will pay for their part too. They know that they are all part of the aiding and abetting squad. They all know that they have all taken their part in false witnessing.

What’s in a Name?

Just heard a quote from the White House, sorry I don’t know who. I tried to look it up but couldn’t find it. Maybe those who run the internet decided it was a good idea to remove it. At any rate the woman said that if you change Hunter’s last name to Smith, no one would pay any attention to anything he did.

The micro-second question to the statement is simple. How many Smiths are there in this world that have made 20 million dollars doing nothing. I submit, Indeed, Hunter used his last name to make the money… by doing nothing.

Moreover, if someone by the name of Smith did make his fortune the way Hunter Biden did, he’d have been behind the big walls years ago. In fact, I doubt there are many Smiths that would try such a thing. Hunter does it because he knows he is protected by Pops. However, if things keep collapsing, even Pops might not be able to protect him. Pops just might not be able to protect himself. I am actually somewhat surprised that one of his puppeteers has asked him to step aside already. Then again, all they need is a puppet to accomplish their goal. However, they do need one that does not keep falling down and asleep.

It’s a Joke, Right?

Weiss a special investigator! Really!?? This is me laughing. The man should be one of the targets of a special investigation. The man is part of Old Joe’s mob. By law he is not permitted to head a special investigation. More than that, he should be one of those defending himself.

Well, I guess we can say one thing about the mess. They now have their backs against the wall. Appointing the special council is a defensive move. They are starting to feel the recourse of the people and the heat of the law. They have been resistant to the action. Now, they feel they need to in order to slow the exposing the truth.
