Anonymous Source

There are 3 major problems with anonymous sources:

  1. There is the possibility that they are completely fabricated.  If they are real or not, they appear the same, with one exception.  They have a tendency to confirm a convenient point of view.
  2. There is no way to challenge the source.  While the source might believe what they say, it is also possible they are mistaking.
  3. The source might be biased in many different ways.  For instance, if I were angry with someone, I might try to spread vicious rumors about him simply for revenge.

To be sure, there might be a grain of truth to what is said.  It does make it easier to sell the falsehood.

There is one more thing you might note.  The source might be completely truthful as far as it goes.  However, the source just might be withholding, or is unaware of something that might cast a different light on the situation.  let’s face it.  We have all been stuck in situations when all explanations make things sound worse.

It is a common practice among dummycrats and communists to use half-truths.  It is also a common practice among reporters and papers lacking ethics… such as The New York Times.   The truth is, I don’t believe anything from the Times, not until it is well confirmed.  This is especially true when they site anonymous sources.

An Unusual Situation

At least sense Andrew Jackson, the Dummycrats have had a candidate running for president.  Bernie Sanders is independent, not a dummycrat.  Hence the dummycrat party will not have a dummycrat in the race.

Just a thought.  I really don’t think Bernie will be the nominee.  I will say this for the man though.  He is honest as apposed to Pocahontas.  She is on record with at least four whoppers.  When the two of them had a disagreement during the most recent debate, I strongly suspect that Pocahontas was the one telling the whopper.  I believe the poor woman can’t help but lie.  I don’t know why.  Most of the lies gained her very little.  In the end, they cost her far more.  I certainly would not want to stake my life, or my country, on her being truthful.  It kind of scares me that she just might become president.

I’m of Two Minds

Which is best?

1. Dismiss the case against President Trump immediately.  After all, they have not truly charged him with so much as one crime.  After the case is dismissed, the Senate could call witnesses exposing the so-called whistle blower and Joe Biden.

2. Allow a full scale trial to go on with witnesses.  The dummycrats have far more to lose with witnesses.  After all, their presidential front runner just might be exposed of committing the very thing they are accusing the president of, abuse of power and quid-pro-quo.  Indeed Joe Biden could end up in jail.  Now that could be embarrassing.

Either way, I suspect President Trump would be the biggest beneficiary.  He just might end up running all fifty states.  Then again, probably not.  Sadly, California and New York are too far gone.  They would rather vote for a mass murderer than for President Trump.  It just must be something in the water they drink.

I guess my preference is for choice 1, though it is really a tough choice.

Oh.  By the way.  Regardless of the means and methods, they really should serve pizza to the senators during the trial.  I will help keep them awake.

There Is a Difference

Those who have read my past post will be surprised when I say that I hope the House impeaches President Trump.  Understand though, if they don’t, he will be assumed, “not guilty.”  On the other hand, if he is tried in the Senate, he will be proved innocent.  And, to be sure there is a difference.

Besides, it will be nice to see many of his accusers squirm when put under oath, and on the witness stand.  It will also be interesting to see how the mainstream media will paint it.  Without doubt, many of the so-called journalists will be shown for what they are.

Honesty and Intelligence

Considering all of the number of dummycrats in The House, you would think they could find one honest one to lead the impeachment investigation.  Well, then again, maybe that is expecting too much.  It does seem that knowing how to lie is a requirement for them.

At least, they should find someone with a a little intelligence.  I mean, Schiff really made an idiot out of himself when he tried to lie about what President Trump said in the phone call.  I would say he just outright lied, but that is not true.  It wasn’t even a successful lie.  It was proven to be a lie almost before he finished it.

It just goes to show.  You cannot trust the dummycrats to do anything.  They aren’t even good at being dishonest.

By the way, this another proof positive that can’t count on someone with a college degree to be smart or honest.  It is also proof positive that you can’t believe anything a dummycrat says.

PANIC!!!

The dummycrats have done what they do best.  They wasted $30 million on a do-nothing investigation.  Now that it has become obvious, they know it is time to PANIC!!!  Now they are trying all sorts of things to distract the people.

They have no reason to fear though in the long run.  The media will do their part for them.  They will spread their lies as the farmer might spread feed for their animals.

Well, there is one thing some of the dummycrats need concern with.  Now that the investagation is over, the justice department can go after the real criminals.

A Simple Solution for Press Conferences

Just heard the judge’s decision on Acosta’s hard pass.  Immediately, I figured a good solution.  Insist all questions be submitted in writing one hour before the conference.  The selected questions could be read and answered.  Conceivably, the questions could be selected at random.

What Acosta did during his his battle over the microphone was just almost assault.  Had he gone just a little further, she could have sued him and taken a dollar or two home with her.

CNN’s Jim Acosta

I wonder if Jim Acosta even realized what he did.  I saw the thing thing live and I am convinced that he did touch the intern slightly.  That should have never happen.  I am sure he never hurt her but it did likely cause her some fear.  The woman was trying to do her job and he put her in a bad position.  Moreover, he obviously had no respect for the woman.

At the time, he thought of no one but himself.  He wasn’t even thinking of CNN as he caused them a great deal of embarrassment.  He certainly wasn’t thinking of the public as he didn’t even ask a question, but rather made an accusation.  By the way, it was a very poor one.  People who force their way into a country are evaders by definition.  By the way, if they start throwing rocks, they become armed invaders and are guilty of assault.  For this, it would be proper to lock them up and charge them with assault.

I do believe the proper thing for President Trump to do would have been to tell the man apologize or leave.  If he refused, he should have been escorted out.  Then he should have reminded the others that the same thing could happen to them if they insist to speak out of turn.  Even a third grader knows better.

Somehow, Acosta will likely regret his actions.  He won’t be attending any presidential press conferences for a while.  Maybe never.  He might remain at CNN, but he will have to find another job.

I Like Spinach

When I was a child, I did not like spinach, not one bit.  They used to have to force it down me.  As I grew a little older, I tried to dress it up some by adding things to it.  No good.  The stuff just had a horrible taste.  Whenever I tried to force it down, it made me gag, literally.

Then, one day, I was eating a salad.  I had it half eaten when I asked the waitress what the green leaves were.  She said, “It’s Spinach.”

Can you imagine my surprise.  I ate half the spinach in the salad and guess what?  I liked it.  It actually had a nice flavor to it.  It was then that I came to realize that they ruin it when they can it.  I ate the salad, spinach and all, leaving nothing but a little of the dressing.

I should have suspected as much.  I don’t like carrots, cabbage or Brussels sprouts when they are cooked.  On the other hand, I really like raw carrots and raw cabbage a lot.  I don’t now about raw Brussels sprouts.  Haven’t tried them yet.  However, I also prefer my celery raw too, though I can also eat it cooked as well.

There is one odd thing about cabbage.  I really like egg-rolls.  I can easily eat four or five of them at once.  Guess what, their major ingredient is cabbage.  Go figure.

At any rate, this might be a good clue to parents who can’t get their kids to eat their veggies cooked.  Try feeding them to your kids raw.  Who knows it might work.  …and by the way, they are more healthy that way.  …and by the way, it takes less time and effort to prepare them.  …and by the way, they make good in between snacks.

There is one more side benefit.  Your kids will like you more.

Unfortunately, now that I like spinach, I can’t eat it.  The doctor told me to avoid it.  Now isn’t that a kicker?

What’s Real? What’s not?

Two of the biggest complaints I receive about my books is the grammar and realism.  I apologize about the grammar, really I do.  I just can’t afford a professional editor and I do have my problems.  However, I do believe that my plots are good enough that many will enjoy them, in spite of the errors.  Unrealistic as they may be, they do provoke thoughts on real things.

As for for them being unbelievable, I used to agree with my critiques, some of which are in my own family.  However, these days, in light of what has happened in Washington, D.C., maybe those who call my stories implausible owe me an apology.

Well, maybe my books do go beyond reality.  After all, a golf ball being thrown through walls?  People defying gravity.  I must admit that sort of thing just doesn’t happen.  On the other hand, with all the new technology, who would lose a big commercial airplane?  No doubt in my mind, had I written a story of a disappearing jumbo jet a couple of decades ago, it too, would be called ridiculous.

I don’t write this to make light of any such a disappearance, but I spent nine years in the Marines working on navigation equipment.  I know a little bit about it.  I understand how it works.  What I don’t understand is how anyone can let a couple hundred people walk onto a big commercial airliner and disappear, apparently forever.

By the way, if you are looking for an unbelievable book, one without any cursing or adult passages, you just might want to check my author’s page:

Note: there is an underscore between story and teller, though some might not notice it.

Also, you can log onto Amazon.com and look for Rhodes under author.  I would prefer you use my author’s page.  There are not as many distractions there.

My best seller is “The Prepper.”  The Mitch Series is good too.  “Mitch” and “The Prepper” are both almost realistic books.  The Floater Group and the Ring Series contain the books that are well outside the realistic. I do have one book that is totally Christian, though Catholics might not like it.  If you are an atheist, you still have my permission read it; I won’t mind.  I promise, the book is not meant to convince anyone of anything.  I wrote but for two purposes: to entertain and to provoke a little thought.  Oh, by the way, there are a few Christians that have read it and found it and thought it thought provoking as well.
