Panic Time

Reached for bathroom door and realized it was locked. Looked over and saw my wife was in the bedroom. It was then I was reminded of one of the benefits of two batrooms.

I really need to set up an emergency plan for the future.

Judgement?

Don’t know. I’m not a prophet. Still, California has been getting more than their share of disasters lately. Let’s see. They have had drought, floods, snow storms. As a result, mud slides, possible tornados and perhaps something I left out.

Moreover, it would seem most of bad weather is centered in San Francisco and Los Angeles. Both are centers for sinful practices.

It is easy to sluff it off on coincidence or, maybe climate change. However, maybe we can take a look back in history to a man who was a prophet, Jeremiah. He made predictions of judgements and it was sluffed off as coincidence. Because they did not heed the warnings and turn to God, they were taken captive by Babylon and the Temple was destroyed.

Who am I to say if the one thing has anything to do with the other. However, we do know 2 things for sure. California is very rebeious toward God and they are suffering continuously worse ‘natural’ disasters; the worst I have ever seen there.

Caution: You might start expecting more earth quakes next. More coicidences?

All of Them

Well, those as an adult anyway. It seemed every time, I left good friends. Some might find this odd, but I left some of my best friends at the restaurant where I worked. However, the Marines were calling.

Things were different in the Marines, a lot different. I learned so much while there. And when I say there, there was a few different places. I saw many places and many peoples I would not have seen as a civilian

There were many things I hated to leave in the Marines. No one leaves the Marines after 9 years without leaving part of him behind.

I settled in Mempis after being discharged. I was stationed there twice and was familiar with it. There was much I liked about it. Then, that was before the dems got control. As many did at the time, I moved south of the stateline.

For a while, I continued to work out of Memphis, but took calls in Ark, Mo and even spent time in Detroit, and Dallas repairing computers. I would have prefered to do that the rest of my life, but computers don’t break anymore.

I had taught for 3 years in the Marines. So I decided to give it a try at NAS Memphis. There is nothing better than teaching. If I didn’t need to eat, I would do it for nothing.

How-some-ever, one day I woke up and found out they were tearing down the Berlin Wall. They packed up the training center and moved it to Pensicola. I was suddenly out of the best job I ever had.

At that point, I found a couple of jobs as a computer operator. It was a good for an older man. Then, it was the hardest phase. Retirement.

Don’t much care for retirement. It’s better to have something productive to do.

I Like It

It seems some truckers have decided to put the sqeeze on NY, NY. Can you imagine as many as 1/4 of the truckers refusing to deliver to NY, NY. It’s not that much of a stretch. I’ve talked to several drivers that refuse to make deliveries there anyway. The place is just not designed for 18 wheelers.

Regardless, it would seem that that NY, NY judge made a decision that has set the drivers off. When it was decided that Trump owes 350 million, several drivers chose to reply in a way they will likely be heard loud and clear, coast to coast.

Let’s make an assumption. Let’s say there is a large disruption and all those world class restaurants start having probems getting supplies. All those international clothing stores don’t have anything to sell. Suddenly, they go to the mayor and councilmen. Then, there begins the clamering from that guy in that 5th ave. apartment in the clouds.

They all say, do something fast or find another job. Now, of course, this is the interesting part. The mayor, in theory can’t do much. It’s the crazy nuts judge that brought down his little hammer and said guilty.

As far as I know, he’s the only one in the immediate future that might be able to reverse the decision. Actually, that might not be possible. I suppose it depends on the law. Then again, the judge might simply refuse. I did say that the judge is crazy nuts.

I simply have no idea what happens after that, maybe an emergency pardon. Your guess is likely better than mine.

Well, there is one more outlandish thing, that is if they can get enough driver-less trucks.

Dirty Filthy Politics

I know they saynall is fair in polotics, but this is a new low. Nicky Haley knows very well the tactics the dems are using. She is very well aware that all the charges aginst Trump are trumped up and empty. Yet, without shame, she climbs right on the dem bandwagon in an attemt to make Trump look bad.

She should hope her methods don’t work. If those dems turn their figuritive guns on her, most certainly she won’t figuritively survive them for a day.

Now tell me, just what real help does she hope to provide the republicans. The only ones she is helping are the rinos.

A Side Effect of Pride

1st, let me speak of the well known. Of all sin, pride is one that angers God most. I can easily reason why. It does frequently stand in the way of a man’s salvation. The man that believes himself good, also believes that he has no need of salvation.

Ludacris as this sounds, it is a common stance by many. How many times have you heard, I am far better than most. Why shouldn’t I be allowed into heaven.

I suppose, this means anyone better than Hitler will have to be permitted in.

Another problem with pride is that it causes us to have a distorted view of things. It causes one race to think of themselves as being superior to another. I am xyz, so WE are better than them. WE always will be and God has said so. Some think that was how Hitler thought, this even though he consiered himself superior to God’s chosen people, this even though he was half Jew. ( That’s crazy nuts) This is what happens when you let Satan use pride to twist your mind.

Then of course, there are the atheist who plant their feeble 2 feet and say to the world, there is no God. It is the ultimate pride. He believes that, poof, the whole Universe just exploded out of thin air.

Oops. That would be impossible, right. there was no air, thin or otherwise.

To get to my point, finally. Jesus, while walking this planet was born a Jew. That is to say, He very probably appeared to be Jewish. His hair was likely dark brown black or even red, unlike painted by the Europeans. His skin might have had an olive overtone or maybe pale. I will be the first to admit, I don’t know. He was a decendant of David, who was pale and red headed.

On the other hand, the possibilities of His skin being black are very remote. I won’t plant my feet and defiantly say his skin was not dark, but I am just going by the hints in the Bible.

I know there are those who prefer to buy manger scenes with black characters. The only thing I add. Be careful that you don’t turn the figureines into idols. The is the first step in idolotry is pride.

Take Me Out to the Ball Game

We used to go to see the Chicks regularly. For those unaware, the Chicks was a semi-abrieviation for Chickasaws, the Memphis AA league ball team.

We loved it. Sometimes, we put 8 in the car, between friends and us. Most of the time, it was just the 4 of us. Admittedly, the park wasn’t that great, especially as compared to the current stadium.

However, it was accessable. After paying for parking at the current park, we have to each give up a hot dog and soda. Worse, it takes far more time to drive to and locate a place to park.

We no longer have children at home. My wife does really enjoy a pro game, but not that much. We’ll likely stay closer to home this year.

There are many beautiful Little League fields nearby and there is no cost. Let’s us buy more “peanuts & Cracker Jacks.” Also, there are high schools around. I suppose we will be more wecomed there than in downtown Memphis.

If they made it more convenient, we might risk the hazzards of going downtown to see a game now and then, but apparently, those in the Redbird management don’t value our business. It’s a shame. As near as I can tell, the players deserve more than that. Those actually working in the stadium deserve more too.

How-some-ever, that Redbirds stadium is so much nicer. It just is they had to plop that thing down in the worst part of Memphis… and about the most difficult place to park.

I can’t say anyting about how unsafe parking is. I have no recent 1st hand experience. However, I do believe it is a place the wise avoid.

Mark This One For for the Businesses

From the post a couple days ago, Business or Lives. It would seem they chose the businesses over the lives. It would appear the dollars won again.

I hope everyone realizes I am intentionally being a little extreme. However, I do have some question as to how many lives it would take to actually get such a law passed. I mean, we are talking 2 very high priority subjects, beer and money.

At any rate, the beer drinkers will be happy to know that they will still be able to stop off for a cold one on the way home from work. They will not have to drink their beer warm.

I Wish I Knew

Actually, maybe it’s good I don’t know. At 76, I do have some suspicions. I have some hopes. However, fact is…in six months I might not be here.

If permitted, one last thought. Maybe the people from Memphis will know how to drive and they will have stopped shooting at each other.
