An Alert to the Citizens of N.Y. City

Trucks and freight trains run on fossil fuel.  Trucks and freight trains carry food into the city of New York.  If we do away with fossil fuel (Diesel fuel) the people will starve.  Simple fact.

…and people people have a hard time believing my books.  At least I label my books as fiction.  The Dummycrats expect us to accept this fiction as science.

Bottom line… it is about power, not saving the planet.

Cars, Planes and Trains

I have always had a fascination with trains.  I guess most kids do, but most people grow out of it.  If I had it to do over again, I might have chosen to work, in some way, with trains.  I think I would have really liked to be a conductor.

I especially like the old steam trains.  Most think that the old steam locomotives were replaced because they didn’t have the power that the Diesel does.  Actually, that isn’t true.  The old steam engines had plenty of power.  …and by the way, they were fast too.  Casey Jones often pushed his train at one-hundred miles-an-hour.  Besides, his engine was not the newest.  The newest engines were powered by steam turbines.  They were not only powerful, but they were also very efficient.

The downfall of the steam engine was maintenance.  If they could have used good clean water, they would not have had to have nearly so much maintenance, but the old boilers required a lot of regular work.

That aside, the dummycrats would like to see us abandon our cars and planes and use trains.  That won’t work.  A 747 can carry around 350 passengers.  It seems odd and counter-intuitive, but that is about the number of passengers that the average train carries.  That means, while trains are okay for short runs, they are horrible for the long haul.

Besides, there are just some places trains can’t go.  The tourist’s trade of Hawaii might have some real complaints if we did away with planes.  Moreover, train tracks require a lot of maintenance and, oddly, they are nowhere near as safe as commercial airlines.

Finally, it would never happen anyway.  Those congressmen would never let it happen.  It already takes Pelosi five hours to fly between San Francisco and D.C.  I do not think she would want to spend three days riding a train each way.

Oh yes, one more thing.  You try taking those keys away from those California drivers and you will have a fight on your hands.  That is not going to happen.  I would like to see them try that.  It would turn the state from blue to red overnight.

“Let the Buyer Beware!”

Those who know me know that I am very much in favor of capitalism.  However, there are some who take advantage of capitalism for dishonest endeavors.  Whenever such things happen, the government ought to take reasonable measures to prevent such things.

By the way, such things are not new.  In the Pirates of Penzance by Gilbert & Sullivan, the pirate king claims that he is relatively honest.  He raises the skull and crossbones, and everyone knows what he and his men intend.  The businessman wears a business suit and robs people blind.  Moreover, those that are most likely to steal are those who are members of the bar association.

Well, today I received a letter from a dishonest business.  You may ask, “How do you know it is a dishonest business?”

To which, I say, it is simple.  On the letterhead, I saw “Medicare.com.”  It is an effort to deceive.  It was not from the government.  The Medicare website is Medicare.gov.  There was a disclaimer at the bottom of the letter.  I am sure they want everyone to read it.  On the other hand, if one out of a hundred doesn’t read it, the deception is successful.

For the most part, I did not read the letter.  I cannot tell you what it says.  However, I will tell you who it is from.  I will let you draw your own conclusion as to their honesty.  I will let you decide if you want to do business with them.  As for me, I will not give them the time of day.

They identify themselves as eHealthinsurance agency in New York and Oklahoma.  I would hope you will practice one capitalist saying, “Let the buyer beware.”

President Trump’s #1 Accomplishment

President Trump has accomplished so much that it is difficult to determine just which is his greatest accomplishment.  While he has not yet completely replaced Obama Care, it is all but gone.  In a year or so,  it will no longer exist; other than in our memories, or more accurately, our nightmares.

Certainly, he has done wonders for our economy.  He has brought back a bunch of jobs, particularly in manufacturing.  Some might not like it, but he has challenged the countries of Russia, China and Iran.  He pulled us out of The Paris Climate Conference, which would have been disastrous for our economy.

I am sure I have left out one or two things, but I have come to the conclusion that we have overlooked the one thing that was most important.  I say ‘we’ because, until this evening, I never considered it.

To the best of my knowledge, no one else has mentioned it, leastwise not directly.  In indirect ways, many have talked around it.  Some have even denied it, though they had no idea of it.

Actually, in a way, President Trump has come close to speaking on it, though I am sure it was not his intention.  His accomplishment will change things forever, regardless of anything else he has done.  It will change this nation for both liberals and conservatives, for Republicans and dummycrats.  The dummycrats would like to deny it, but, when and if confronted, they will have to admit it.

President Trump has exposed the media bias.  No more will people ever trust the news media.  Some will not trust the big newspapers and networks.  Many will not trust the conservative outlets.  To be sure, no one will ever have the total trust of all of us, as did Walter Cronkite.

Dummycrats and Lobbyists

When I first moved to my current home about 40 years ago, the four of us went to a nice place a few miles away.  After we spent the day there, we went to a drive-in restaurant.  My older son put away a foot-long chili dog and a 1/4 pound hamburger, not to mention the fries.  I would guess it would attest to a hard day at play.

Then, of course, we headed home, or at least I thought we did.  The area was sparsely populated and I was not familiar with it.  However, after about fifteen minutes, I started thinking I did something wrong.

I stepped out of the car and realized the sun was behind me.  Up to this point, I was convinced that I was going west.  Wow!  Was that a rude awakening?  The worst part was that I was low on gas and had no idea which way to go to the nearest gas station.  Fortunately, I made the right decision and went north where I found a station in a few miles.  Finally, we actually did head home, west.

I made a mistake, one that I seldom make.  I went the wrong way.  I guess I am not alone.  I heard about a pilot who thought he was going west and flew east to Ireland.  Most suspect that he did it on purpose in order to get around some kind ruling by the government.  There was also a football player who actually ran toward the wrong goal line.  Now that has to be embarrassing.  No one wants to score for the other team, especially in front of thousands of fans.

To be sure, it is sometimes a good thing to stop and take our bearings.  Sometimes, no matter how sure we are, we just might be going the wrong direction.  Certainly, no matter how convinced we are that we are going the wrong direction, we just might be headed toward disaster.  Had I not stopped and checked, I would have run out of gas.  There is no telling how long how long I would have had to wait for help.

If someone takes off from San Francisco in a little Cessna and goes west, he will not ever reach Reno no matter how convinced he is that he is going east.  It might not hurt to look down and see what is below him.  If the weather doesn’t permit, maybe he can use his VOR or maybe his GPS.  If he is convinced all the instruments are wrong, he is going to be in trouble.  That little plane is going to run out of gas before reaching land.

One thing I have personally noticed is that any time dummycrats and lobbyists get together, the Dummycrats will invariably end up going the wrong way.  During their recent little stay in Porto Rico, I understand that there were more than 4 lobbyists for each dummycrat.  Now that is a recipe for disaster.  Nothing good can come from such a thing.  Invariably, the Dummycrats will end up going the wrong direction and the lobbyist will do all they know to convince them they are going the right way.  Moreover, by the time the dummycrats figure it out, there might not be any gas stations around.  They just might be surrounded by open seas.

My Biggest Fear

We can stop some people from coming across the border by stopping welfare.  We can almost put a total stop of illegal immigration by keeping illegals from gaining any form of employment… even the under the table type.

Of course, there are those who cross the border with all kinds of diseases.  The kids attend out schools and expose our children to such things as anti-bionic resistant TB and who knows what else.  Indeed, there might be a few diseases we don’t yet know about.  That in itself sounds like a good reason to build a wall.

Then there are all the drugs that are brought over the border.  It is true that some of it comes in through ports of entry, but the vast majority bypasses the scrutiny the border guards there.  It only stands to reason.  Why sneak the stuff through the border stations when they can just go a few miles to the side and drive the stuff over, virtually unhindered.

However, my greatest fear is that one person or group of people that bring a weapon of mass destruction into the country.  One nuclear weapon in L. A. would be more than disastrous.  There are over ten million in Los Angeles and Orange County area, more than in the city of New York.  There is a huge Navy Base in San Diego, just a few miles north of the border.  Do we really want to leave our guard down as we did at Perl Harbor?

Do you think 9-11 was bad?  If someone sets off a nuclear weapon in San Diego or Los Angeles, even if it is a small one, it will make the attack in New York seem like small potatoes.

Do we always need to learn the lessons by firsthand experience?  Do we always have to wait until after the attack to find out we are vulnerable?  My best guess is that if we wait, it will be too late.  I don’t think we will be able to recover.

The bad part is that we won’t be able to retaliate.  We won’t know who was behind it.  I guess we just just have to retaliate against everyone.  Then, as they say, there won’t be anything left but the cockroaches.

The truth of the matter is that Pelosi and cohorts know the dangers of leaving the border open.  The fact is that it is more than political.  It is about the power.  They want to control the country.  They want to control the world and they want to control everyone in it.

It is as old as civilization.  There have always been those who seem to control others.  There have always been those who want to be king of the world.  The Greeks and Romans used swords.  Hitler used guns.  The dummycrats use promises.  They promise us everything and then they take all our freedom.

In this case, it just might backfire on them.  If someone plants a nuclear bomb in Chicago, they just might want to run for the border and keep running Venezuela.  Then again, they might want to run to Cuba.  My guess is that they would be welcomed there with opened arms.

On the other hand, they would have to give up all the power they accumulated.  They just might have to work for a living.

A Short Question About Tunnels

Dummycrats claim walls don’t work.

If walls don’t work, why do the smugglers go through all the effort to build tunnels under them?

By the way, I have been notified that drones can work… if they are armed with Hellfire missiles.  Helicopters work real good too… if armed with machine guns and rockets.  They would certainly be very effective, but I don’t think it would be such a good idea.

BUILD THE WALL!!!

Elizabeth Warren Lied. Then Why Should That Surprise Anyone?

Senator Elizabeth Warren said it used to be that the minimum wage was a livable wage for a woman and her child.  Fact is, it never was.  I suspect that the reason she made the statement is that she never really held down a real job; I did.  My first job paid $1.35 an hour.  I was lucky.  The minimum wage was $1.15.  By the time I managed to start making $1.45 an hour, the minimum wage moved to $1.25.  I’m figured if I wasn’t careful, I would be making minimum wage, even if I never took a pay cut.

The truth is that $1.15 was not enough for one person to survive on, let alone two.  The truth is, if I weren’t still living at home, I wouldn’t have been able to survive on the 1.35.  Over the years, I saw the minimum wage go up over and there is no way that it was ever a livable wage.  It was always intended for someone just entering the labor force.  It gave a kid a chance to get some experience and establish a resume.  Without a college degree, hardly anyone starts out earning much higher.  Sometimes, even people with degrees end up flipping hamburgers for a while, and… they considered themselves lucky to have the job.

Increasing minimum wage should be done carefully.  It can end up hurting the people you want to help.  I have seen it happen.  When the minimum wage went from $1.15 to $1.25, we lost an employee.  I still feel bad for the kid.  He was still in high school and was trying to save some money toward college.  Though I saw just the one lose his job, I’m sure it was not an isolated event.  …and, by the way, we lost a good employee.  He was ambitious and worked hard.

Then again, why should it surprise anyone that Senator Warren’s would lie?  She’s a dummycrat.  It’s what they do.  I might suggest that she was just ignorant, but I don’t think so.  She knew what she said wasn’t true, just as she knew she that she wasn’t Native American.

NEVER BELIEVE A DUMMYCRAT!  NEVER!

Drones vs Walls

It’s why I call them dummycrats.  They keep saying dumb things.  They say we don’t need walls.  We can use drones and they are much less expensive.

Well, here’s a news alert.  Walls greatly impede illegals from crossing the border; drones don’t.  For my stupid political opponents, the best a drone can do is spot someone as they cross over the border.  I assure you, they will not and cannot stop anyone.  Then, once they are here, they are here and we can’t send them back.  Now tell me, just what is so brilliant about drones.

The truth is, they know better.  It is just their effort to deceive, and a poor one at that.  The truth is that they don’t want the wall because it will work and it will keep all their new voters out.
