The Effectiveness of a Wall?

The Dummycrats and major news media say the wall would not be effective.  They lie.  They can’t seem to help it.  It seems to be in their blood, or maybe it was just the way they were brought up.

Consider, ten people walk up to a fifty foot wall.  One tries to climb it.  The other nine walk away.  That makes the wall 90% effective.  If there is no wall, it is 0% effective, no matter how many drones or other devices are there.  Even if there are border agents there, they can’t stop them.  They get one foot on US soil and they get to go to court.

Maybe my numbers are not totally accurate, but I am relatively sure they are.  One thing I am sure of, the lack of a berrier won’t work and never will, regardless of anything else that is used.

Besides, when they hear about the wall, most won’t bother taking the trip north in the first place.

One of the best things about a wall is that it would drive the violent element away from the border, which would make it safer on both sides of the wall.  That, by itself, makes it worth it at twice the cost.  Saving lives is a good thing.  Obviously, saving lives is not a priority for the Dummycrats.

BUILD THE WALL!!

Dummycrat Lies

Just got through watching The Five on Fox News.  A stupid dummycrat made a dumb statement that I figured needed some kind response.  (I know.  I am being redundant.) She said something to the effect that it was a historic election when 40 seats in the house went to the dummycrats.  (Actually, she used the real party label, but I can’t bring myself to use that label nowadays.)

On its face, it is a lie and it was stupid of her to think I would believe it… either it was a lie or she is even dumber than I thought to believe such a ridiculous statement.  Nothing about it was historic and it was certainly expected.  It was somewhat normal.  Nothing historic about it.  What was historic was that the Republicans picked up seats in the senate.  What would have been historic is if the republicans had held on to the house.

By the way, the Republicans would have held onto the house if the dummycrats would have been somehow prevented from lying.

BUILD THE WALL!!!

Drones vs Walls

It’s why I call them dummycrats.  They keep saying dumb things.  They say we don’t need walls.  We can use drones and they are much less expensive.

Well, here’s a news alert.  Walls greatly impede illegals from crossing the border; drones don’t.  For my stupid political opponents, the best a drone can do is spot someone as they cross over the border.  I assure you, they will not and cannot stop anyone.  Then, once they are here, they are here and we can’t send them back.  Now tell me, just what is so brilliant about drones.

The truth is, they know better.  It is just their effort to deceive, and a poor one at that.  The truth is that they don’t want the wall because it will work and it will keep all their new voters out.

BUILD THE WALL!!!

Double Hazardous

It is clear that the dummycrats have the strategy to embarrass Pres. Trump by preventing his wall.  One aspect they  may have overlooked is the possibility of  terrorism or epidemic.  It would mean political destruction of the dummycrats should either occur.  To the best of my knowledge, no one has brought up the point.  I would think that the dummycrats thought of it, though they are pretty dumb.

Those immigrants who entered Ellis Island were filtered for disease before they were allowed to enter the country.  If they had a communicable disease, they were kept on the island or sent home.

It might seem heartless, but it likely saved many epidemics, possibly pandemics.  We already know that many of those seeking to cross the border have contagious diseases such as TB.  Some of those who crossed the border already have likely had diseases.  It is only a matter of time until one of them causes the death of possibly millions.  Though there is no way to prove it, I suspect that the new disease that mimics polio likely came from one or more of the illegals.

If a major epidemic, one that costs thousands or millions of lives is traced to an illegal, it could mean major disaster to the dummycrats.  It is why I say they are taking a chance that is double dangerous.  Not only would it be a disaster, but it would mean the end of the career of many dummycrats, and a few rinos as well.

Then again, there is the possibility worst of both, biological terrorists.  It is not beyond possibility.  Indeed, I hesitate to write this.  I would hate to give anyone ideas.  Yet, I don’t think the idea is new.  I doubt that I am the first to think of it.

On the other hand, the terrorists might think twice about using such methods.  If they ever succeed, we would seal up our borders no matter the cost.  The borders would be shut tighter than a vault.  Moreover, those who would terrorize know that their friends, the dummycrats, would have no say in the matter.

The tragedy is, the loss of lives that it would be a horrible cost, for the lesson.

BUILD THE WALL!!!

Unintended Consequences

Whenever you try to fix a problem, you stand in danger of creating others.  When they passed a law to allow people to seek asylem, they fixed a problem.  Now they have a bigger problem.

They need to revisit the law and repair it or our national language will be Spanish. If in doubt, consider that there are some places in this country where Spanish is more common than English.  Guess what?  It is spreading quickly.

BUILD THE WALL!

A Little Thought

I wished I could say I thought of it but I didn’t.  It was on CBS’s Seal Team.  Loosely quoted, it is corruption and indifference are powerful allies.  Although I certainly agree, I would add two words.  Corruption and indifference are powerful and dangerous allies.

Let’s all remember to vote.  If we don’t, we will most certainly face corruption and likely lose the precious right to vote.  Even the smallest vote is important, even for the proverbial dog catcher.  In some ways, the small contest is even more important.  The smaller the number of voters, the more that your vote counts.

However, even in the big elections, you vote counts.  Think of it.  according to Clinton, President Trump lost based on popular vote.  A few more votes for Trump and they would not have that argument.  Moreover, every vote sends a signal, a mandate.  Had president Trump won by ten million, we just might have our wall now and maybe, just maybe, I wouldn’t have to pay 1000 dollars a month for my wife’s health insurance.  Because he lacked the large margin, he lacked the political capital.  He even had to face republicans, of all things.

To be sure, there were three major reasons that President Trump won the election: taxes, the wall (as well as immigration), Iran and the globalists.  Under the heading of globalists, we can include, the Paris accord the TPP.  May I remind one and all, any time we enter a treaty, that treaty exceeds our constitution.  For that reason alone, all treaties should be entered with great care.  In these treaties, the US would be giving up a much of our sovereignty and we would gain nothing.  It would have been a big step toward one world government.  That might be good, but for one thing.  That government would likely be run by very corrupt people, as the UN is today.

Remember, a vote for a dem is a vote for globalism, more regulation and less freedom.  It is not just important to beat them at the ballot box, but we must send them a message that we don’t like a government that takes our money, gives it to the like of Iran and then tells us what to think.

Real Treasure

I heard an interview of Trace Adkins on TV a few years back.  For those that know me, this will sound strange.  I am not a country/western music fan, though there are a few songs I do like by country singers.  At any rate, the question was put to him, “Do you buy gold?”  The obvious reason for the question was asked in relation to any prepping that he might do in the event of disaster.

Casually, Mr. Adkins replied, “No.  I can’t eat gold.  I buy land, seed and lead.”

Now there is a man with some real common sense.  If things get bad, the man that has gold will easily part with it for a loaf or two of bread.

Repeatedly, I hear these guys on TV trying to hawk their silver and gold on TV.  If the gold is worth so much, why do they wan to sell it?  Personally, I see three problems with this.  Invariably, I will always have to pay more for the gold than what it is worth.  In the event that I sell it, I no longer have any treasure.  Moreover, no one will ever pay me what the gold is worth.  Finally, gold, in a true disaster won’t have any value at all.  You can’t eat it.

On the other hand, if I am the only one around with grain, I can pretty much set my price.

The books are full of stories of men seeking treasures.  The truth is frequently we already have the real treasures.  Here in this country we have a real treasure that is generally overlooked and taken for granted.  Our founding fathers paid for it, many with their lives, many with their limbs.  Many have fought and died to hold onto the treasure.  By now, I am sure most of you know the treasure of which I speak, freedom… also known as liberty.  Since the Revolutionary War, this country has not know tyranny.  There are few countries in this world that can truly say that today.  …Certainly not Russia.  …Certainly not China.  …and most certainly not Iran.

Of all the treasures on this earth, it is likely the one treasure most worth fighting for.  Yet so few are willing to fight for it.  Worse yet, there are those who stand in the way of those who are willing to fight for it.  To be sure, remember, it is far easier to maintain the freedom we have than to fight for the freedom we lose.

I write this because there are those who want to take our treasure from us.  They don’t want us to have it.  They want to run our lives and tell us what to do and what not to do.  They want to tell us how to raise our children and they want to teach our children the way tyranny.

I ask you, what good is gold if you can’t buy anything with it.  What good is security if you are being told what to think.

I refer you back to the above quote.  The land and seed is good for survival.  The problem is that there are always people trying to take your treasure.  So.  To hold onto the land and seed, a person must also have lead… and the willingness to use it.

For sure, the more I think of Trace Adkins’ words, the more true they ring.  There would not be survival without all thee: land to raise crops, seed for the crops, and lead to protect the other two.

If we are not willing to protect our treasure, there are people that will take it from us.  Maybe you don’t care.  Fine.  You lack the courage and conviction.  Then stand aside and don’t hinder the rest of us.

A Whole Lot of Colluding Going On!

I turned the news on this morning and it seemed like every everywhere I looked, I kept hearing… what’s the word now?  Oh yes, impeach.  By evening I was downright tired of it.  Mostly, it was news broadcasters, but there were a few representatives too.  It sort of makes me wonder if the news media is running the country.

It would seem they all just can’t wait until the dems take over the house and get a chance to impeach President Trump.  It doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me.  Even if they did impeach him, it would take a 2/3 super-majority in the Senate to convict and remove him from office.  (Guess what.  I learned that when I was still in grade school.  It would seem there are a few news commentators that still don’t know it, or just found out after making an idiot of themselves, coast-to-coast.)  Regardless, that’s not going to happen.  Even if it does, I actually think that they will be jumping right out of the frying pan into the fire.  VP Pence is much more conservative than President Trump.  Planned Parenthood might as well close down all their offices because they won’t be getting any more federal funds if Mr. Pence has anything to say about it.

Anyway, I started figuring things out.

First, they know they can’t remove anyone from office.  Even they can figure it out, as long as they have a little help.  They just don’t want President Trump fixing (as in repair) anything else.  They don’t want him settling things with North Korea, China, Russia or Iran.  That would make them, look very bad.  They don’t want him to build his wall.  Need I explain it.  Making him look bad is their only hope of beating him in 2020.  I have seen people like that all my life: make the other guy look bad in hopes it will make them look good.  If he does half of what he wants to do, the dems will have nothing but egg on their faces and they won’t like that.  Everything that they said he couldn’t do he would do, even with them standing in the way.

Second, I noticed that they not only use the same word, they like to use the same phrase.  It is as if unknown villain is writing the script each morning from behind the scenes.  Speaking of scripts, I wonder who is doing their writing.  I can only assume that the dems and the liberal press alike have been doing some serious colluding and I would like to know who is leading the orchestra.

I probably won’t be able to do a thing about it, but it would be nice to know anyway.

If you would like to visit my author’s page and look through the 35+ books I have there, I won’t mind.  Also, should you want to tell your friends about the books, I won’t mind that either.  Even more, I won’t even mind if you tell your enemies.  Please note that there is an underscore between story and teller which you might have trouble seeing.

Misplaced Empathy

From what I’ve been told, humans are about the only species that feel empathy, a close relative of compassion. When someone hurts, especially someone close to us, we hurt too. Oddly, most of us feel empathy for animals too. Contrary to what all the scientist tell us, I don’t think I am related to apes and such. Yet, when my cat got his paw hung in the chain link fence, I still went over and cut the fence to get it out of his paw. …and by the way, he appreciated it so much that he sunk his teeth over half way through my finger.
I didn’t blame him for it. He thought I was trying to hurt him. Actually, I am sure I was. The wire had gone right through his foot and there was no way I could help him without causing him some pain.

At any rate, afterward, he went to the vet and I went to the doctor. Both of us were in pretty good shape in spite of it all. I got an antibiotic shot and the cat did have some minor problems the rest of his life with one of his claws.

Sometimes, people try to help us, knowing that they will likely hurt us. Many of these people are called doctor. I know I had a hard time remembering this the time I had a dislocated finger and the doctor had to straighten it. (After, the poor woman jumped back. She was convinced that I was going to hit her.)

Sometimes we humans direct our empathy in the wrong way. There are those who would encourage illegal immigration. By putting the welcome mat out, they aid and abet the drug cartels. As a result, people die on the way. The women are raped and the boys are conscripted into gangs.

If they make it into the US, many girls are forced into brothels. Both men and women can end up working in sweat shops for little or nothing. Then, if they are caught, they frequently get sent back to their own country.

If they do manage a safe arrival into the US, they live in constant fear of being found. If they are abused, they are afraid to say anything. If they become sick or injured, they are afraid to go to a doctor or hospital. If they labor in the fields, they are frequently paid a small salary. Then, if the owner of the ranch decides to, he refuses to pay them at all.
Invariably, they use false documents so to allow them to work. Then, if the cartel decides, they use them for whatever purpose serves them.

I would say that it is a mistake the Dems make. The truth is…they likely know all this and they don’t care. They likely have no compassion for the illegal immigrant. When they die, they don’t shed any tears. When the girls are raped, they likely have little interest in it. When a man is stiffed for a day’s wages, I doubt they have any concern.

The fact is, the illegal immigrant serves but two purposes. They provide a mallet with which to hit President Trump and they provide a possible way to increase the number of democrat voters. It is the way the Dems work. They can’t come up with any good policies so they stuff the ballot boxes… or import more voters.  It’s apparently something they learned from the communists.  I can’t remember who it was, but one of the commies said, “He who counts the ballots rules the country.”  …or something to that affect.

Finally, walls stop trucks.  Right now, there are places where a vehicle can just drive over the border.  I don’t know about you, but it sounds to me like a convenient way to smuggle drugs, or about anything else… maybe even an atomic bomb or two.  The wall is a good idea even if we didn’t have people flooding over our borders.

Windows, Doors and Walls

Walls are wonderful things.  I have no idea when the first one was made, but it was likely well before recorded history.  Nonetheless, they do serve a number of really neat purposes.

They do provide protection, in many ways.  They protect us from the weather, ravenous wild animals, from humans that mean us harm and, of course, to some degree unwelcome relatives.

They also provide us with some degree of privacy.  They allow us to live four feet from our neighbor and still keep him or her from seeing or hearing us.  Then again, maybe you live in a condo or apartment.  The walls still provide some privacy, just not as much.

Walls have been built to keep invaders away.  The most famous of such walls, of course, is The Great Wall of China.  Some walls are better for this purpose than others.  The Berlin Wall, while not completely effective, did keep most East Berliners on the east side of the wall.  I guess it kept most West Berliners west of the wall, but that was not its primary purpose.  It is not as if the West Berliners were apt to attack those on the east.

To be sure, there are other walls built to keep people inside.  Prisons are the primary ones.  On the other hand, Israel built a wall that is very effective at keeping people out.

I guess I am going astray of my main subject, doors and windows.  I guess after they invented walls, it wasn’t long before men came up with doors and windows.  Naturally, they have undergone a few changes over the years.  Let’s face it, in all his glory, Solomon had windows, but they didn’t have glass.  I guess I could be wrong about that.  I wasn’t around to see them, but I don’t think glass really arrived on the scene until much later.  It meant, if he wanted to keep the cold out, he had to close the windows, likely made from wood.  On the other hand, the best he could do when it got to hot was to have a couple of slaves wave palm branches at him.  (It was the latest in air conditioning in the day.)

By the way, the pharaohs were not any better off and they considered themselves to be gods.  Yet with all their power, they could not cause the temperature to go down one degree.  The pharaohs, of course, had their walls and they were a little odd.  We can still see some of them near the Nile.  In spite of all their efforts to keep the grave robbers out, they still got into those pyramids.  I don’t think it really matters to them.  They don’t know it, so let’s not tell them.  It won’t hurt anyone to let them believe it worked.

By the way, getting back to doors and windows, the pyramids didn’t have any.  They were the ultimate in designed security, at least for the day.

The miraculous thing about modern day windows is that they allow us to see through walls.  Incredible as that might sound, it is true.  If you are inside a wall, you can see outside.  If you are outside, you can see in, provided the drapes aren’t closed.

Now doors, they are even more incredible.  They actually give us humans the ability to walk through walls.  Incredible as it might seem, they even allow us to carry objects with us as we go through.  Moreover, if we close and lock them, we are almost as secure as we would be if it were just a wall.  That’s right; they keep wild animals out.  Most of the time, they keep robbers out.

In a way, they accomplish the same thing a gate does with the big walls.  As I am sure you know, during the middle ages, they built large walls and gates to keep marauders out.  To some degree, they were effective, but no gate or wall can truly be said to be impenetrable.  Yet they still put a lot of effort into building the walls and gates.  They figured that there was no sense making it easy for the marauders.

Now it would seem, the experts tell us that a wall on the south border will not do any good.  They call me prejudice for even suggesting a wall.  Guess what.  The idea of a wall is not new.  They do work.  It has been proven for thousands of years.  Now suddenly, they stop working?  Maybe they have catapults or cannons and their friends shoot them over the wall.

Personally, I don’t think their knowledge is built on experience or common sense.  Instead, it has been influenced by bribes, AKA known as money and favors from lobbyists.  Take the bribes and our representatives just might be able to start thinking straight.

By the way, if we do want anyone to come north of the border, the wall would have a gate.  If they have the proper ID, if they are not carrying illegal drugs, if they are not criminals, then we can let them in.  On the other hand, if they disobey our laws, we can send them south with the warning that we don’t want them back.

Some would like to make it all sound complicated.  It isn’t.  If we want the bad guys to stay south of the border, we need to make sure that we don’t make it easy for them to enter.  Moreover, we need to do everything possible to discourage them from coming in the first place.  A wall goes a long ways in that direction.  It is sort of the reason our homes have walls.  They are not perfect, but they do provide some level of security.

Maybe Congress doesn’t want a wall, but we do.  It is time for them to ignore the bribes and start listening to us.  On the other hand, maybe it is time to send them all home and send some people in there that will actually pay attention to the constituency.  Just maybe they will not lose their memory before they take the oath of office.  Then too, we need to make sure that they are never allowed to use the word comprehensive.  The word must be removed from their vocabulary.
