- Vice President, Kamala Harris. When Old Joe looked for a running mate, you recal, he chose the one person in this country less qualified than than he is. His 2 requirements said in public: female and Black.
- Again, when Old Joe went in seach of a justice, he chose one of the few people in this country, correction, world that cannot define a woman. Justice Katanja Brown Jackson met the only two requirement for Old Joe. You notice he didn’t list so much as one more requirement. However, truth be told, she very likely is in favor of ESG policies. She was likely told she was just before Joe selected her.

The Problem With ESG
When you decide to go ESG, that’s how you get the public schools we have. That’s how our military is getting desimated as it is.
Oh, by the way, airlines are starting to go ESG. That meams that they might chose the Black woman pilot instead of the more highly qualified white male pilot.
Don’t get me wrong. I am not saying that all White pilots are better. What I am saying is that if I have my own G5 jet, I am going to put the best pilot I can find in charge of that plane. I could care less if he or she is purple. If I am forced to do any less, I’ll take the bus and sell the plane.
Then I’ll that ESG pilot fly someone else’s G5.
Here’s a Crazy Farming Idea
All measurements are outright guesses. Others smarter than me will be able to guess better than me.
The idea is to dig trenches, maybe a foot wide and 10 feet deep. The ditches would be about 15, maybe 20 feet apart. I guess they would need some kind of grid cover for safety.
However, first, rocks, and or pebbles would be used to fill the trench. Pumps would be installed at the end of each trench. During flooding, the flood water could go into the trenches. During dry spells, the water could be pumped out of the trenches and over the crops.
If the flooding cannot be handled by trenches, the water could be pumped into tanks and used later.
I mean, why let the flood water ruin the crop? Why not save the flood water for later when it’s needed. Perhaps, instead of a tank, a pond could be used.
As I said, just a crazy idea. Just saying, if it just works once or twice; if if saves one or two crops…. Then what do I know. Twice I tried to grow tomatoes. As I say, I tried.

The Logic Underwhelms Me
Nicky Haley asks how Trump will win the general election while he keeps losing 40% of the vote in the primaries. This promps the question, how does she expect win while losing 60% of the vote of the primary.
Sorry. That kind of logic seems illogical. It is the sort of thing that underwhelms me. Maybe there is someone in this world that can explain that in a way that won’t confuse me all the more.
One more thing, as the detective with the old raincoat might say, just one more thing. I have no proof, but I believe, and so do many others that many of those voting for Nicky are dems. My guess, as many as 1/4 of them.
Preverbial Rock & Hard Place
Almost from the instant Old Joe took over, Putin has put us in the place where we can’t do the one thing and we can’t do the other. It is an odd switch of roles, with Republicans wanting to stay out of Ukraine and the Democrats are ready to roll up the sleaves and dive in. They are using, under a different name, the old domino theory advanced during the cold war.
The simple solution, it seems, everyone wants to ignore. If we drive the price of oil down to $20 a barrel, it quickly solves the problem of Russia and Ukraine. In weeks, Putin would be out of money. More important, it would go a long way toward helping our economy, Iran and maybe even China. At this point, however, Trump and I seem to be the only two on this earth aware of it.
Maybe that isn’t quite true. Most certainly, Putin is well aware of it too.
Nonetheless, here we are. What can we do that we are willing to do? If we continue to provide arms to Ukraine, we will most certainlly draw down on our readyness. On the other hand, they are holding Russia at bey and costing Putin blood, approval and treasure.
So… do we pull out and let the dominos fall or do we try to let the Ukranians deal with our worst enemy since WWII?
Well, I have spent a lot of time thinking about it. I guess I must to some degree, go against my Republicans. We are losing a great deal of money on ammunition. However, it is putin who is losing blood & treasure.
It is now a little less than a year until President Trump is again President Trump. My guess is that within a couple of months, the price of oil will plumit to $20 and Putin just might be looking for another job.
And if Trump does not return to the White House…? Well at least at my age, I won’t see much more. At 76, I can’t imagine being around much longer.
Hint for Shelby County
My guess is that the current clerk will soon be fired or should be.
Whether soon or later, when selecting the next county clerk, make sure he or she can do basic math, you know add, subtract, multiply and divide. Maybe basic bookkeeping skills might come in handy too.
What in the world is going on with that woman who is the current clerk? Anyone have a clue yet?
The Charge of the Light Brigade
I have done a great deal of reading on it and the Crimean War. It would be senseless for me to write all that much about it. A great deal has been written about it already and it’s easy to find. To be sure, it is a wise man that will study it. More accurately, the person that does read it will come away far wiser.
However, perhaps the best way I heard it summed up, “it was mistake from beginning to end.” And it was. The Charge of the Light Brigade was brave but exeedingly dumb. The stupidity even amazed the Russian leaders.
There were however a few good things to come out of it. One of them was the training of British officers. Until then officers bought their commissions and many had little idea about how to lead an army.
Of course, some folks didn’t learn. They would rather promote those who know not how to lead, because they are the right gender, race or they are homosexual. Guess what. Many private companies are doing it to.
Old Joe tossed thousands of good officers from the services. Why? Because they refused to take an experimental shot. That cost our armed forces readiness.
Tis madness. Do you suppose we should require the poem, “The Charge of the Light Brigade,” to be read by all presidents, and American officers. It woke the eyes of the Brits. It might wake them too, but I have little hope.
Maybe if is reqired reading for American 8th graders, it might help. I’m sure it would acomplish more good before the major part of the damage is done by American public systems.
Arn’t Free Things Wonderful?
You look at the ad. They say breakfast is free with the room. In truth, you & know things don’t really work that way. In order to provide the breakfast, the increase the cost of the room.
The more accurate statement is, breakfast included with the room. It would seem many have confused the meaning of the two words.
I was out of town one day working on a computer, about a hundred miles from home. It was a tad past the noon hour, so we broke for linch. As we neared the front of the line, I pulled my wallet out and opened it. It was then I rememebered, I gave my last 10 to my wife before leaving for work.
I folded my wallet and put it back in my pocket, apologized and told the girl behind the counter I would be going without lunch. She smiled and asked what I wanted. In spite of my objections, I did get a good hamburger, fries and Coke. Now, in that case it was free… to me. At least it was for me, someone paid for it. Only distance and time have kept me from paying them back. At any rate, I made sure the young knew I was greatful. before leaving.
What most of us don’t realize is the debt we owe to God. What many don’t realize is that Jesus has taken mercy on us, just as that girl had mercy on me. Jesus has paid our debts every one of them. It was indesbably costly for him. For us it’s free. All He expects in return is total is that believe in Him and what He did for us. For those unwilling to accept His gift, for those who try to add to what Jesus did, they will receive what they deserve, every bit of it.
In this case for sure, we should all thankfully receive the gift he offers to one and all. You don’t want to be one of those, too, says, “If only I knew.”
Heaven is not someting included with something you earn. It must be totally accepted as a gift. Any thing else is an insult.
