I Remember Well

They say don’t speak badly of the dead. Well, let’s see. The Dems speak badly of Jefferson, Washington, Gen. Lee, and a dozen others. They have destroyed statues that were made in their memory. If they can speak badly of those men, why can’t I speak badly of some, why can’t I?

Since Jimmy Carter died, I have heard over and over the good the man did, though even they admit they have to search high and low. Well, it did remind me of all what I remember. First, I was in the Marines when he became president. Most of us Marines had a saying. The marine emblem had been changed to just a globe and anchor. Carter was messing things up so much even the eagle was getting out. And, by the way, a lot of marines decided to get out because of the new Commander in Chief. I spoke to many of them. I can’t say specifically of any one thing but rather the whole atmosphere was changing when we got a Naval Chief of Operations with a name of Admiral Elmo Zumwalt. (and his actions matched his name. a real flower child of the age grown up)

Second, because of Carter’s weakness, Iran was turned over to a terrorist. We are still paying for that one. Remember the current efforts of Iran to build atom bombs. Remember, when we left Iraq, Iran took over and killed millions. (Obama had his part in that one.) Remember, when the new Iran regime took over, they also took over our embassy and took the staff hostage. Remember, after a great deal of planning and practicing, he arranged a hostage rescue attempt that was an embarrassment to him and the armed services of the US. Maybe he should have just arranged for the Israelis to do it and pay them.

Better yet, he could have just threatened to turn Israel loose on them. We would have had the hostages back in about 3 or 4 days.

Remember when he turned over the canal to Panama. Now that was dumb. When he started to do that, I remember thinking about it. That in itself was enough to activate the 26th amendment. It was crazy nuts. We spent a lot of money putting that canal in. We spent a lot of sweat putting that canal in there. We lost a lot of lives putting that canal in. And then President Carter hands it over and says, “Here you go. Here’s you a nice big present and it isn’t even Christmas.” And guess what? Now China controls it. Then to, it shouldn’t surprise anyone. The Dems care little or nothing about it.

Many speak of all he has done since his presidency. Okay. He built a lot of houses. That is nice. On the other hand, he has been very active in keeping abortion legal, frequent and at any time until birth. He claimed to be a Christian. I don’t know. God tells us not to be judgmental. If he was saved, my guess is that his ears will be burning for a while, considering the encouragement of the killing of the unborn. (Yep, if he is saved, he will still go to heaven, but he will have a lot of explaining to do.)

Well, truthfully, I will have some explaining to do too. But, at least it won’t involve the killing of millions of babies. The Dems like to point out all the Jews Hitler killed. And then they care not that the Dems have killed millions of babies.

If we want to put that on a set of scales, put the babies on one side, the houses on the other…. Do the houses really offset the lives of the babies.

However; as bad as he was, the Dems right now are far worse. I guess we can say that much for him, anyway.

An Ounce of Prevention

One thing I never understood is why President Bush never thought about prevention. He was a pilot in WWII. He should certainly understood the concept. When Saddam Hussein made threats to Kuwait, Bush should have responded immediately. It should have been enough to simply tell him not to do it. With our national power at the time, it should have been eggnog.

However, if he really wanted to make a threat, make it simple. Tell him if he attacks Kuwait, then his southern oil fields would soon belong to the the USA. He knew it could happen. He knew the oil was a big part of his power. He would not have wanted to lose that oil. He would not have gone into Kuwait.

Even if he had, conquest of the oil fields would take weeks, if that long. There would not have been a need to build up troops. The Marines with the assistance of the Navy could have gone in there, and the Iraqi army would have run.

There would not have been a need to set up a no fly zone. There would have been no need to search out Hussein and there would have been no need to for the second war. They would have been no attack on the trade buildings in NY, NY. Thousands of lives would have been saved and the US would have had all the oil we needed.

Most important, the world would have know better than to threaten the US. We would have had no reason to go into Afghanistan. Oh, and by the way, don’t you know the leaders in Iran would have taken notice. Do you think they would be trying to gain the Nuclear advantage. Do you think they would be providing funding for terrorists organizations. All any president would have to say is, “You remember what happened to Hussein? We can take your oil fields too, you know.”

It is important for our opposition to know what we can and will do. It will save lives, and not just ours. It would have saved lives world wide.

This evening, I have two asides. Bush would have been able to keep his promise, “No new taxes,” and he would have won the election. Low cost fuel would have helped him too. Clinton would have never been elected or impeached.

Also, the Arab countries would have never been able to use the price of oil over us. It is conceivable that the price of gas would have gone back down to close to a dollar and remained there.

To be sure, there would still be wars and rumors of wars. Jesus told us this but maybe a little less so if Saddam had never gone into Kuwait. It would have been a good ounce of prevention. It is but one reason I am so impressed with Trump. It is how he works. He doesn’t believe so much in war, but in prevention. Prevention is more betterer every time.

Aiding and Abetting

The dummycrats are guilty of aiding and abetting of the enemy, the Russians, Chinese, Iran and North Korea.  Every time they encourage the enemy, they aid them.  Every time they try to undercut the efforts of President Trump, they abet the enemy.  They are saying, “All you have to do is wait until the dummycrats get in office, things will turn to the way they were.”

Every time the dummycrats and fake news impede the building of the wall, Every time they refuse to alter the law to decrease illegal aliens, every time they aid those who are here illegally, they are aiding and abetting the cartel; they are encouraging gang members who illegally cross the borders and remain here.

Every time that someone dies from an overdose, they have contributed to their death.  Every time a woman is raped by an illegal alien, they are guilty of helping them.  And, by the way, they have helped some who have not yet arrived.  Some of the rapists are guilty before they reach the border.

Do the dummycrats or reporters feel any remorse.  No!  Most likely, the dummycrats are not capable of such a thing.  I mean, feeling guilt?  It seems to be a foreign concept to them.  As far as they are concerned, they would have to admit they are doing something wrong.  The truth is that anything that furthers their goals is a good thing, no matter who gets hurt.

All the above hardly surprises me.  After all, it is all in their guidebook, the  Communist Manifesto.  The part that really bothers me is that there are Republicans in cahoots with them too.  Nearly half of those who call themselves republicans are just as guilty and it doesn’t seem to bother them either.  Indeed, they seem to be proud of it.

Go figure?

Just remember, it’s not really about communism or socialism.  It is about power.  They want one world government and they want to be in control of it.  Nothing else matters.  World dominance was the dream of virtually every dictator since the beginning of history.

They love to belittle the memory of George Washington.  It would do them much good to remember that when George was offered the throne, he quickly turned it down.  Very few in his position would have.  It was likely the first step into the best and greatest government this world has ever seen.  Invariably, those who successfully lead a revolution become the leader of the new government.  Washington only accepted the office presidency after the forming of the government.  Even then, he insisted on stepping down after two terms.  It’s likely something Roosevelt should have learned from.

BUILD THE WALL!!!

The Bully

The leaders of Iran are nothing more than two-bit bullies.  They are throwing their weight around, such as it is.  There are two ways to deal with bullies.  Ideally, you ignore them.  Sometimes that is not an option.  When they kill people, especially when they threaten to kill people in mass, then it is time to use the second method, or at least make the threat.

Iran has threatened to eliminate Israel.  Soon, if permitted, they will gain the ability to do that.  It means preventing that, no matter what it takes.  Moreover, we need to make sure they realize our intentions.  That means, in the long run, we need to make sure they don’t get a nuclear bomb or the means to deliver it.

In the short term, we need to watch them carefully.  The instant they start flexing what little muscle they have, we need to retaliate and quickly.  We need to make them pay for their stupidity.

That does not mean that we send in troops.  Most likely, there would be no need.  Simply a few well placed conventional bombs would be all that would be needed.  Depending on what they do or threaten to do, ten to thirty bombs would be all that would be needed to send them a message.

It wouldn’t be the purpose to win a war.  It is simply important that we remind them that we have the means and the determination to deal with them.  That doesn’t mean that they suddenly behave themselves.  It is just important that they know each time they strike,  we will counterstrike significantly harder.

Sometimes, it is the only way a bully will learn.  You see, most bullies have are hard of hearing.  Sometimes, it takes three or four lessons, but, eventually, they will learn.  It is better than sending in troops.  It will let them know that we can strike by pressing a few buttons.  Oddly, it is better for them too.  If we have to send troops in, their losses will be far more.

This has another benefit.  In the unlikely event that we would have to send in troops, our army would probably would not encounter much resistance.  Also, if we need to send in troops, they should have one objective, the oil fields.  Without their oil, what little threat they have would be suddenly removed.

The most important part, we need to “bluff” them and then stand ready to fully back the bluff.  There would be another advantage of this method.  Bullies, worldwide, will know that we mean what we say.  It will drastically decrease the need to send our troops anywhere again.
