My Biggest Fear

We can stop some people from coming across the border by stopping welfare.  We can almost put a total stop of illegal immigration by keeping illegals from gaining any form of employment… even the under the table type.

Of course, there are those who cross the border with all kinds of diseases.  The kids attend out schools and expose our children to such things as anti-bionic resistant TB and who knows what else.  Indeed, there might be a few diseases we don’t yet know about.  That in itself sounds like a good reason to build a wall.

Then there are all the drugs that are brought over the border.  It is true that some of it comes in through ports of entry, but the vast majority bypasses the scrutiny the border guards there.  It only stands to reason.  Why sneak the stuff through the border stations when they can just go a few miles to the side and drive the stuff over, virtually unhindered.

However, my greatest fear is that one person or group of people that bring a weapon of mass destruction into the country.  One nuclear weapon in L. A. would be more than disastrous.  There are over ten million in Los Angeles and Orange County area, more than in the city of New York.  There is a huge Navy Base in San Diego, just a few miles north of the border.  Do we really want to leave our guard down as we did at Perl Harbor?

Do you think 9-11 was bad?  If someone sets off a nuclear weapon in San Diego or Los Angeles, even if it is a small one, it will make the attack in New York seem like small potatoes.

Do we always need to learn the lessons by firsthand experience?  Do we always have to wait until after the attack to find out we are vulnerable?  My best guess is that if we wait, it will be too late.  I don’t think we will be able to recover.

The bad part is that we won’t be able to retaliate.  We won’t know who was behind it.  I guess we just just have to retaliate against everyone.  Then, as they say, there won’t be anything left but the cockroaches.

The truth of the matter is that Pelosi and cohorts know the dangers of leaving the border open.  The fact is that it is more than political.  It is about the power.  They want to control the country.  They want to control the world and they want to control everyone in it.

It is as old as civilization.  There have always been those who seem to control others.  There have always been those who want to be king of the world.  The Greeks and Romans used swords.  Hitler used guns.  The dummycrats use promises.  They promise us everything and then they take all our freedom.

In this case, it just might backfire on them.  If someone plants a nuclear bomb in Chicago, they just might want to run for the border and keep running Venezuela.  Then again, they might want to run to Cuba.  My guess is that they would be welcomed there with opened arms.

On the other hand, they would have to give up all the power they accumulated.  They just might have to work for a living.

A Short Question About Tunnels

Dummycrats claim walls don’t work.

If walls don’t work, why do the smugglers go through all the effort to build tunnels under them?

By the way, I have been notified that drones can work… if they are armed with Hellfire missiles.  Helicopters work real good too… if armed with machine guns and rockets.  They would certainly be very effective, but I don’t think it would be such a good idea.

BUILD THE WALL!!!

The Effectiveness of a Wall?

The Dummycrats and major news media say the wall would not be effective.  They lie.  They can’t seem to help it.  It seems to be in their blood, or maybe it was just the way they were brought up.

Consider, ten people walk up to a fifty foot wall.  One tries to climb it.  The other nine walk away.  That makes the wall 90% effective.  If there is no wall, it is 0% effective, no matter how many drones or other devices are there.  Even if there are border agents there, they can’t stop them.  They get one foot on US soil and they get to go to court.

Maybe my numbers are not totally accurate, but I am relatively sure they are.  One thing I am sure of, the lack of a berrier won’t work and never will, regardless of anything else that is used.

Besides, when they hear about the wall, most won’t bother taking the trip north in the first place.

One of the best things about a wall is that it would drive the violent element away from the border, which would make it safer on both sides of the wall.  That, by itself, makes it worth it at twice the cost.  Saving lives is a good thing.  Obviously, saving lives is not a priority for the Dummycrats.

BUILD THE WALL!!

Elizabeth Warren Lied. Then Why Should That Surprise Anyone?

Senator Elizabeth Warren said it used to be that the minimum wage was a livable wage for a woman and her child.  Fact is, it never was.  I suspect that the reason she made the statement is that she never really held down a real job; I did.  My first job paid $1.35 an hour.  I was lucky.  The minimum wage was $1.15.  By the time I managed to start making $1.45 an hour, the minimum wage moved to $1.25.  I’m figured if I wasn’t careful, I would be making minimum wage, even if I never took a pay cut.

The truth is that $1.15 was not enough for one person to survive on, let alone two.  The truth is, if I weren’t still living at home, I wouldn’t have been able to survive on the 1.35.  Over the years, I saw the minimum wage go up over and there is no way that it was ever a livable wage.  It was always intended for someone just entering the labor force.  It gave a kid a chance to get some experience and establish a resume.  Without a college degree, hardly anyone starts out earning much higher.  Sometimes, even people with degrees end up flipping hamburgers for a while, and… they considered themselves lucky to have the job.

Increasing minimum wage should be done carefully.  It can end up hurting the people you want to help.  I have seen it happen.  When the minimum wage went from $1.15 to $1.25, we lost an employee.  I still feel bad for the kid.  He was still in high school and was trying to save some money toward college.  Though I saw just the one lose his job, I’m sure it was not an isolated event.  …and, by the way, we lost a good employee.  He was ambitious and worked hard.

Then again, why should it surprise anyone that Senator Warren’s would lie?  She’s a dummycrat.  It’s what they do.  I might suggest that she was just ignorant, but I don’t think so.  She knew what she said wasn’t true, just as she knew she that she wasn’t Native American.

NEVER BELIEVE A DUMMYCRAT!  NEVER!

Dummycrat Lies

Just got through watching The Five on Fox News.  A stupid dummycrat made a dumb statement that I figured needed some kind response.  (I know.  I am being redundant.) She said something to the effect that it was a historic election when 40 seats in the house went to the dummycrats.  (Actually, she used the real party label, but I can’t bring myself to use that label nowadays.)

On its face, it is a lie and it was stupid of her to think I would believe it… either it was a lie or she is even dumber than I thought to believe such a ridiculous statement.  Nothing about it was historic and it was certainly expected.  It was somewhat normal.  Nothing historic about it.  What was historic was that the Republicans picked up seats in the senate.  What would have been historic is if the republicans had held on to the house.

By the way, the Republicans would have held onto the house if the dummycrats would have been somehow prevented from lying.

BUILD THE WALL!!!

Drones vs Walls

It’s why I call them dummycrats.  They keep saying dumb things.  They say we don’t need walls.  We can use drones and they are much less expensive.

Well, here’s a news alert.  Walls greatly impede illegals from crossing the border; drones don’t.  For my stupid political opponents, the best a drone can do is spot someone as they cross over the border.  I assure you, they will not and cannot stop anyone.  Then, once they are here, they are here and we can’t send them back.  Now tell me, just what is so brilliant about drones.

The truth is, they know better.  It is just their effort to deceive, and a poor one at that.  The truth is that they don’t want the wall because it will work and it will keep all their new voters out.

BUILD THE WALL!!!

Kiosks and McDonald’s

Eons ago, I am sure that a man used a rock to pound on something. Maybe he was building an arrowhead or he might have been using it to build himself some kind of house. I don’t know. I wasn’t there. Then, one day, someone came on the brilliant idea to affix a rock on some kind of handle. Hence, the hammer was invented. Over the years, the hammer has gone through countless improvements. Moreover, there are at least a dozen variations to the modern hammer.

As with most inventions, it can be used for good or it can be used for damage or harm. Indeed, some hammers were actually designed as weapons, though today, most of them are found in museums. Still, a little two-pound sledgehammer can be quite lethal, though it is not designed as one. Please stay with me as I spring forward to a more modern invention, the computer.

By itself, it is neither good or bad. However, it can be used for either one. Being as I was born well before the modern electronic digital computer, being as I have been around them most of my life in one way or the other, I have seen plenty of both. Ideally, when the computer first came onto the scene, their primary is to save time. They save time because they can perform repetitive tasks very fast.

They save time because they perform complex calculations in a timely manner. (for instance space travel) Now that financial institutions use them, errors are as rare as hen’s teeth, which saves time and frustration. Since they first arrived on the scene, they have one more real advantage. (that is, besides games) They provide enormous amounts of storage. In the time before computers, papers had to be saved for years, taking up rooms of storage.

Now, years of data can be stored on something not much larger than a stamp. It even makes Microfiche old-fashioned. Along the way, the computer has changed the worlds of photography, music, teaching and, of course, literature. My wife hardly goes anywhere without her Kindle. The books she has on the little electronic tablet would fill a couple of good sized chests. About all of us carry phones around, which are full of music and photos. I listen to mine wile walking.

One can hardly imagine such a wonder being used for bad, but it started almost from the start. The first place I noticed it was when they were used for tracking employees. Some employers used computers to track the number of keystrokes by the employee as well as how many errors they made. It is a way to keep an employee under thumb. I actually worked under those conditions for a while. Worse, if I did one thing, I was wrong. If I did the other, I got scolded. Instead of using the computer to streamline things, they used the computer to become Big Brother.

Speaking of Big Brother, the government is using computers to track our ways more and more and they are not the only ones. Though they do not yet use the info for such purposes regularly, they certainly can. It would not take much to make it happen. Indeed, it is quite possible that the foundations are in place.

One of the uses that management has found for computers is in fast food. Most of the major chains have computers tracking how long it takes to process an order. While I am not completely in agreement with the use, it does help to make sure the that the guests receive their order in a reasonable time. It does have a problem. Most frequently, the employees simply delay in taking the order. This allows the staff to apparently provide fast service, though the computer is collecting false data. Recently, McDonald’s has started using kiosks to take orders.

I have had the opportunity to use them a few times and I now have an opinion about them. On the positive side, the staff no longer is able to corrupt the data. The computer times the order from when the customer completes the order until it is completed. Also, the employee brings the order to the customer’s table. For me, that is not a big thing, but I do realize it is for some.

On the negative side, the kiosks are difficult. For me to say that it is something. I was a computer operator for about twenty-five years. It takes me twice as long to enter the order on the kiosk than to provide the order the old way. Moreover, I am not sure of what to do next after each step. The other day, the employee entered the order on the kiosk, and even she entered the order slowly.

I am afraid this was one step backward. The fault, as usual, is not the computer but rather those who programmed it. My personal opinion is that the project will likely go through a number of revisions in the next few years, that is, if they hope to have success with the kiosks. Otherwise, they will simply frustrate their customers. Those like me will simply go to the counter and order the good old fashioned way.

Then again, those like my wife will likely stay away altogether. She does not like computers at all and she lets me know it every chance she gets. To be sure, this is in spite of the fact that they helped me put food on the table through most of our marriage.

Double Hazardous

It is clear that the dummycrats have the strategy to embarrass Pres. Trump by preventing his wall.  One aspect they  may have overlooked is the possibility of  terrorism or epidemic.  It would mean political destruction of the dummycrats should either occur.  To the best of my knowledge, no one has brought up the point.  I would think that the dummycrats thought of it, though they are pretty dumb.

Those immigrants who entered Ellis Island were filtered for disease before they were allowed to enter the country.  If they had a communicable disease, they were kept on the island or sent home.

It might seem heartless, but it likely saved many epidemics, possibly pandemics.  We already know that many of those seeking to cross the border have contagious diseases such as TB.  Some of those who crossed the border already have likely had diseases.  It is only a matter of time until one of them causes the death of possibly millions.  Though there is no way to prove it, I suspect that the new disease that mimics polio likely came from one or more of the illegals.

If a major epidemic, one that costs thousands or millions of lives is traced to an illegal, it could mean major disaster to the dummycrats.  It is why I say they are taking a chance that is double dangerous.  Not only would it be a disaster, but it would mean the end of the career of many dummycrats, and a few rinos as well.

Then again, there is the possibility worst of both, biological terrorists.  It is not beyond possibility.  Indeed, I hesitate to write this.  I would hate to give anyone ideas.  Yet, I don’t think the idea is new.  I doubt that I am the first to think of it.

On the other hand, the terrorists might think twice about using such methods.  If they ever succeed, we would seal up our borders no matter the cost.  The borders would be shut tighter than a vault.  Moreover, those who would terrorize know that their friends, the dummycrats, would have no say in the matter.

The tragedy is, the loss of lives that it would be a horrible cost, for the lesson.

BUILD THE WALL!!!

Why I Call Them Dummycrats

Just heard Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) make a dumb statement.  He basically said that we should be mandated to pay health insurance because we are mandated to pay car insurance.

The man likely has a college degree and conceivably a law degree.  Most representatives do have at least a four year degree.  However, I would like to see if he ever held a real job or ran a real company where he had to meet a parole.  On the other hand, I barely have a high school diploma and I spotted a hole in his logic that a person could drive one of those big mining trucks through.

  1. His statement is false on its face.  Not all people are required to carry car insurance.  Most people in New York, New York don’t have car insurance.  They never did and never will.  It is because they don’t drive cars.  His idea of a health insurance mandate would include every breathing human within the country, with the likely exception of congressmen.  (Then again, I’m not sure they are all human, anyway.)
  2. Those of us who do drive are only required to carry liability insurance.  We are not required to carry theft, collision or comprehensive.  The only reasons the state requires us to carry liability is to protect the other guy, not the one carrying the insurance.  Moreover, it is not because they know we will have an accident.  Some people, believe it or not, never have them.
  3. There is an exception in most states to the requirement.  Those who can may post a bond to cover the liability.
  4. We have several companies to chose from, some from out of state.  Being as I am from Mississippi, I have one selection, which is as if I have none.  Effectively, this has left my wife uninsured.
  5. Finally, the minimum coverage does not protect the driver who liable.  If I have a fifty thousand policy, the damaged party may still sue for and receive a judgment for a million or more.  The health insurance that Mr. Ryan wants us to pay has no limit and requires us to pay for coverage we absolutely don’t need—that’s both dumb and stupid.

Mr. Ryan, your statement almost sounds like a joke, but I’m not laughing.  Because of Obama Care, my wife is effectively without insurance, though I pay a premium of a thousand dollars a month.

The one thing that disturbs me the most is that you – and Obama – were voted into office, likely by a bunch of dummycrats.  It is something of an argument against democracy.
