Catching It From Both Sides

The dems are upset at Robert Hur for saying Old Joe’s memory isn’t what it used to be.

The Republicans are saying, if he’s bright enough to run a country, he should be able to face a jury.

Either way, it appears Old Joe definitely did what Trump did and likely much worse. It just is we conveniently can’t try Joe because of limited mental capacity.

Now aren’t you happy to know our country is being run by a man with limited mental capacity.

Isn’t The Internet Wonderful?

As mentioned before, I love to tease the cats with a laser and they love it too. The laser is hooked on a keychain to make it easy to find. Now, every time I pick up the keychain, they come running. Once close-by, they start looking and anticipating.

It prompted a question, do big cats like to chase lasers. So I picked up my handy little computer pad and did a search. I won’t tell you what the answer is, look it up for yourself.

Nonetheless, during the search I came across 2 other articles. 1 said the lasers were bad for cats. the article right next to it said they are good for cats.

You get opposite expert opinions. I guess it is as so many other things in life. You can read one, then the other. Then you can go off and believe what you want.

I choose it is good for them. It’s so much fun, I think for everyone.

Guilty Until Proven Innocent

Not exactly the way it’s supposed to work…most of the time. There is an exception. If I am going to use a self-defense ploy, then I am admitting to the crime. Often times, it is admitting to the killing or assault of someone. I don’t think saying, I didn’t kill anyone. However if I did it was to protect myself.” I don’t think that would work.

My freedom after the trial depends on my proving that my life or another is in danger. For instance, “Sure I shot him. He was pointing a shotgun at me.” In this example, it is sort of obvious. In some cases, it can be a knife, a baseball bat or even a fist. That’s right. If a 250 lb man is about to hit a 100 lb woman, she can be completely justified in putting a couple of bullet holes in the man.

In simple words, we call it self-defense. I would guess most states call it justifiable homicide. Whatever it is called, it is a very important part of the laws, I’d guess in all states. Indeed, I suspect it is a worldwide concept, maybe even in China. Otherwise, all of us would be susceptible to violence on a whim. If I cannot protect myself from the man with a club, I am subject to being killed by any man with a sling and a rock.

Incidentally, anything of the proper size and weight can be used as a club. It need not be, per se, a baseball bat. Even a crutch can be a lethal weapon.

I spent a lot of words telling you what you already know.

Now I will write something you may or may not know. The young man, Rittenhouse was going to speak at University of Memphis. I heard about it on the news.

Apparently, the students did not believe he should have the freedom of speech, so they planned ways of keeping him from speaking. Apparently, they were even willing to buy out all available tickets.

Now, that’s weird. I guess the theory is to keep others from hearing him. Don’t know about Rittenhouse, but I wouldn’t mind giving a speech in an empty theater for a stack of cash.

Second, it’s a display of fear. Indeed they are afraid of what might he might tell the world. Finally, the man, in a court, proved before a jury, his justification in defending himself, in spite of those who were determined to hang him regardless of any and all evidence.

Those students who judged him guilty and wanted to take away his platform weren’t angry at him for killing the men but rather that he, as others, refuse to swallow the garbage that they want us to swallow. I am sure he would find far more friends in the ranks of the student body should he decide to drop his beliefs and pick up the banner of the politically correct.

The Lesson From Bataan, the Movie

I can’t remember first time I saw the movie Bataan, but I had to be young. It made a big impression on me. Even more, it was the first time I learned something about military intelligence.

I’m not so niev as to think the movie was a complete accurate accounting of what happened during the battle, no one survived it to tell about it.

Nonetheless, in the movie, one of the characters got really angry at another for blowing taps for the first one to die. The one said he deserved it. The other said he was giving valuable info to the enemy. He had just told the Japanese that we lost one man and that somehow, somewhere, they just had a success.

I asked my older brother about it and he provided additional explanation. Even at my age, it was an eye opener.

Later, during my years in the Marines, I added my understanding all the more. Military intelligence is far more complex than Mad Magazine’s Spy vs Spy. Indeed, it only confirmed the realistic nature of the cartoon.

Yet, during Vietnam, we provided the world with a day-by-day report of the killed, the missing and the captured. Worse, we reported to the Chi-coms confirmed kill, wounded and captured. To which I am sure they thought, Thank you very much.

And now, stupidly we report Israelis losses to the world while we assume that HAMAS reports of those killed by IDF as rock solid truth.

Just how stupid can we be? Just how simple can those in charge be? The secret is you keep things secret. You don’t give the advisories that information which will be helpful to them, even in the least.

Notice to All Advertisers

This just might save you a penny or two, maybe a nickel. It seems there are those that like to look at what I look at. For instance if I look do a search on Peterbuilt diesel rigs, the next day, I receive ads on Peterbuilts as well as a few other rigs.

Here is a hint to put in your DB. I live off Social Security. I can’t afford a Peterbuilt. Hopefully, you can extrapolate that info. I can’t afford diamond rings or necklaces. It is useless to direct your ads at me.

Moreover, there is no sense directing any ads to my mail either, though I haven’t a clue how you get my address, your mail does show up from time to time.

Incidentally, no since trying to sell gold to me over TV. I have no need for that which provides no nutrition, shelter or other practical use. (haven’t a clue what good adding that would do, but it can’t hurt. Somehow they got the idea I can or want to buy useless pieces of metal when I have other real things I must purchase.)

5 months, 4 days

I just looked it up. That is how long HAMAS has held out, continuing to fight.

It raises the question. They are going without food and water but, apparently they continue to have ammo. How do you suppose that is? Why do you suppose that is? Just where are their priorities?

Just how much ammo did they have stored away? On the other hand, maybe someone is resuppling them.

I don’t know. I can’t even guess. I only know that they have to have gone through tons of war supplies. They must have tons more. If they are not running out, how are they being supplied? Who is supplying them?

Finally, I hope I’m not the only one asking these questions.

Pete Imagines Himself Telepathic

I saw our not so wonderful Secretary of Transportation Sunday say that President Trump did not want the so-called bipartisan bill passed so that he could use it against Old Joe (my term for the current occupier of The OvalOffice).

Now I wonder just how it is that Pete knows that. Did a little birdie tell him? Of course not. Most birds don’t talk. My suggestion is that he is able to read minds, that is to say, he is able to perceive the thoughts of others simply by his incredible intelligence.

With that great genius, I don’t suppose it might have occurred to him that Trump thought it to be a horrible bill. And by the way, it was. It would have only made the problem worse. Maybe Trump decided to fight the bill because he knew the real purpose behind the it, as did Pete. I am sure Pete knew it was a bad bill too.

However, I will not play the mind reader. I will not pretend to be clairvoyant. I won’t even to pretend to be a genius. I don’t need to stretch the truth as Pete did. I can easily think of 3 reasons why Pete might have said such a thing but I’ll just stick with my best guess.

It was what he was told to say. If you consider it all, I am sure you can think of a few more reasons. I mean the man did try to run for president.

As my aside, we all know his qualifications. He was the mayor of a not so large city. From what I’ve heard he didn’t do that well. And may I say to, one and all, his credentials for second guessing the man that actually did control the border are badly lacking.

Disappointed in Wicker

Those who have been following me know most of my thoughts on politics, especially the Mexican border.

In at least one case Wicker voted to weaken border security. In at least 3 other instances he voted wrong in my eyes on very important issues.

I’m not telling you how to vote, but I am saying I will vote for Ghannon Burton. it is half a vote against Wicker and half for Burton. I am but one but I already know that vote will count. Already Wicker is flooding the air waves, including the expensive Memphis media. Looks to me as a desperate measure. He is doing far more advertising than any such encumbant should need to. It indicates I am far from alone.
