Old Joe was careful with his words. He carefully said he had no knowledge of his son’s business doings. He really should have finished the thought, “I am always careful to keep all his illegal activities at arm’s length.”
Absolutely Not!
It is one of the bigger things I learned while in the Marines. I would make a very poor leader. In fact, I did make a bad leader.
It takes a special person to deal with subordinates and I am not one of those people. Try as I might, I failed miserably. Every since I left the Marines, I have made it a point to avoid positions with authority. It doesn’t pay nearly as much but it worked out better for me and those I worked for.
Finishing the Job
I guess it was around the 1970s and 80s. Maybe some during the 90s that the Unions halfway turned Detroit into a ghost town. They drove the price of the cars up so much that people started buying imported cars. Ironically, many of those folks making the Fords, Chevrolets and Plymouths bought VWs, Datsuns and Toyotas.
GM and Chrysler were bailed out by the feds. Ford barely scrapped by. American made auto sales plummeted. The automakers had to lay off many of those building the cars. Lacking any other form of employment, a whole bunch of folks left town. In many cases, just abandoning their houses.
Now, it would appear that the unions decided to finish the job. Five or six more years of strikes and guess what. The only folks left in Detroit will be those working for the government. With no tax-base, we’re looking at just the mayor and aldermen being left behind.
One nice thing about that. They will have their choice of houses, won’t they?
One hint to one and all. Some think the purpose of a corporation is to provide jobs. Actually, their primary purpose is to make money. If they don’t, they will simply go away. In this case, maybe it would be a good idea for the management to just close the doors and go somewhere else. I just might keep from prolonging the agony.
Want to Stop Crime
- Stop drug abuse. Truth be told drugs are involved in close to half of all crimes: murder, robery, auto accidents. I am sure there are some I left out.
- Close the border. We have enough criminals already. We have no need importing any. We have no need of more illegal drugs. We certainly have no need to import any terrorists.
- When criminals are caught, put them in the big house. If they aren’t on the streets, that makes the streets safer.
- Permit prayer back in schools.
- Teach respect. This applies to parents as well as school teachers. This means respect of law, enforcement personnel and other people. I learned to wait in line when I was in school. Obviously, some have not. Many think of themselves as special. They need not wait their turn, they are oblivious to common courtesy and stop signs are for the other guy.
If any of this angers you, it very likely applies to you.
Fear not Hunter
There’s no doubt whatsoever. Pops will not leave office before pardoning you of all federal laws.
Nevertheless, take care. If you are charged on a state law, you’re on your own.
The Benefit of the Doubt
I Don’t know if the saying applies here but hopefully you will get the point. Many are quick to point out that, contrary to what Old Joe said, he was not at ground zero the day after 9/11. Many say he lied.
The thing is as people grow old and the memory starts going bad, they will say things not true and they refuse to admit to things that are true. It may or may not be a lie but it might also be a memory failure.
As I understand it, he was there 10 days later. He might actually think it was the next day.
in some cases while I was still in my 60s, my wife and I would argue and argue a point. The next day I realized she was right.
The question at this point is, is it better that he was lying or his memory failed him. To be sure, when a person in the Oval Office Office has a bunch of memory failures, he…we have real problems…problems that cannot be ignored.
My Scary Thought of the Day
Today, I was all too suddenly made aware of something. Old Joe was born in 1942. Okay no big deal.
Actually it is serious. I was born in 47. Basic math tells me that he is just 5 years older than me. Now that’s scary. Now my whole day is ruined.
Inflation?
The dems are touting that inflation is only 3%.
They can quote their stats all day long. I have my own stat. It Before Old Joe occupied the Oval Office, my groceries were about $100 a month. Now, it’s about $220. I might not be the greatest mathematician, but I think most will agree that is not 3%.
I Have Questions
While the news is all full of stories about the recapture of the murderer, Danelo Cavalcante, I have questions that, I guess no one wants to answer.
My first question is, did he enter the US legally? On my own, I determined he is from Brazil. However, I suppose he might have come legally. Given the way things are at the border, the chances are high his arrival was illegal?
That, naturally brings up the supposition that the woman he killed would still be breathing.
My next question is how many dems are willing to lay this death at the feet of Old Joe? Had it not been for Joe’s changes in policy, the man might still be south of the border waiting for a hearing.
Third question. How much time, effort and money was spent convicting the man? Thousands? Tens of thousands? A lot? By the way, his defense was also likely paid for by the tax payers.
Another question, how many more times is this story repeated to some degree all over the country? How many more times will it take before the dems decide it’s time to seal the border. How many more deaths will it take to open their eyes?
And now the escape and search! How many law enforcement men have been pulled from other important duties? How much money was dispersed in the effort?
And then, by the way, the man was armed. Law enforcement officials might have been wounded or killed. Oh, and by the way, bystanders – children might have been hurt.
My last question…would anyone, anyone at all ask Old Joe if he feels any remorse for opening the floodgates? I doubt anyone will. It’s one of those rhetorical questions. You know, the ones where we already know the answer. Besides, he might be one of the few in this country who wouldn’t understand the question.
I guess I lied. I do have 1 more question, the rhetorical type. Are we ready for Old Joe to pack his things and go back to where he can’t do any more damage?
Profanity Used Freely
I already spoke of it, but back when Trump was still one of the seventeen, it bothered that he used the profanity so much. I still don’t like it, but I’ll put up with it when he did so well at so many things while in office. I’d list them for you, but I bet you already know them.
