The Problem with Paradise

I was 7 when we moved to a city in Orange County, Calif.  At the time, it was just about as close as a person could get to paradise on earth.  The temperature was mild just almost year-round.  The area was relatively crime-free and there was always something to do.

Sometimes we went to the beach.  At other times, we went to the park.  There were many to choose from.  By the way, we could also go to the playgrounds of nearby schools.  The lawyers had not yet ruined things for us.  Nowadays, playing on school playgrounds is forbidden.  The schools are afraid of being sued.

So now they build fences around the schools in an attempt to keep the kids from using the playground equipment, which by the way works only marginally.  Most kids know how to climb fences.  However, putting up fences does decrease the liabilities of the schools.

The problem was that people kept visiting the area.  Then, when they realized how nice the area was, they decided to move there.  During the time from the early 50s, people started moving to California, and especially the Orange County area.

By the way, as if that wasn’t enough, people also started moving in from Mexico… illegally.

Now the area is marginally overpopulated.  It is no longer a paradise.  If I may paraphrase Yogi, no one goes there anymore.  It is too crowded.  It is why I moved out of the state.  Don’t get me wrong.  I do miss the weather.  I certainly miss the beaches.  In this part of the country, it is hard to find a place to swim unless you own your own pool.

It just is that there are too many people in Orange County.  Worse yet, most of those who moved in are dummycrats.  The whole state is being run by people who aren’t qualified to run a birthday party, let alone a state or city.

It is the problem with paradise.  Given enough time, too many of the wrong people will move in and destroy it.  It is true at the city level, the county level, the state level and certainly the country level.

Those seeking the paradise are the vary ones who seek its destruction.  They seek to destroy our constitution, our history and our culture.  Once they are gone, then paradise is gone.

Still, to most of those in this world, the United States is paradise.  However, some want to make sure that won’t last long.  They have opened the borders and invited one and all to enter.  Soon we will wake up and realize that we all would be better off going somewhere else.

The problem with that is that… there will be nowhere else.  The moon is not an option, not yet anyway.
