If They Would Just….

Most of us just want to do our work each day and hope the rest of the world would just leave us alone.

When I say the rest of the world, what do I mean? Well, there are the thieves. Their attitude is that whatever they can take will be theirs. I mean, they steal from the stores. They steal from the banks and they steal our cars. Through what some call it white collar crime, they steal our identity and they steal our property. Moreover, on the large scale, they steal our country. This is generally little by little and bit by bit. Even the slow train gets there eventually as the slow thief eventually takes what is ours, even to and including our freedom.

The problem is that they just won’t leave us alone. We bar our doors. We arm ourselves and we put bars on our windows. Yet, the stealing persist. The bars and windows only work for a while but the thieves persist. We have police and court systems but they can only do so much. From what I understand there are people that steal homes, somewhat with the blessing of our systems.

There are, of course the killers. Some use guns. Some use dope. Some even use automobiles. The truth is that a knife can kill someone just as dead as a gun and it is not nearly as easy to trace. For that matter, a rock will work and has been used many times in the commission of a murder.

That’s right. Those thieves and killers are after us and they just won’t leave us alone. But it is more than that. The casinos are after our money and many politicians seek our freedom. My question is what do they offer in return. The casinos say they are fun. They are for enjoyment. Seems strange to me. I never did like giving away my hard earned money. The politicians offer equality and safety. They tell us that we can’t take care of ourselves so they will.

That is an old ploy. It is what the surf policy of the dark ages promised. You pay homage to the royalty and the royalty will keep the nearby city state from taking over. If they take over, then you will owe homage to the other royalty. In a way, it seems odd. Does it really matter if we have to pay our taxes to the present king or the one that takes over.

At any rate, that went on for a while. Then the city states started grouping together. It was still the surf system but larger. London became Britain. Paris became France. Other little city states were swallowed up. Some kingdoms became history, but not much. Today, most folks don’t know most of the kingdoms that were gobbled up. There was a little war here. There was a little war there. Before you know it, there is no longer a country of Wales. Normandy is suddenly just an area of France and Alsace Loraine becomes a little piece of land for two countries to fight over.

Meanwhile, the citizens of the world keep calling out, “If they would just leave me alone!”

Why is all this you ask? To be sure there are three reasons. It started after the flood with a man called Nimrod. He was a man who set himself against God by his disobedience. His desire was to keep the world population together while God told them to spread out. In essence, Nimrod was the first one who wanted world control.

God stopped the effort by giving them different languages, which accomplished his command for them to spread out. Ever since, there have been those who wanted to rule the world and some had some success. The Pharaoh, the king of Babylon, of Persia, of Greece, and so on and so on, etc, etc.

My guess is that I don’t know all those who had set their goal to control the ancient world. I mean, there were men in Asia, Africa, and northern Europe as well as those we study in and around central Asia. It was and is a goal of Satan. If one man controls the world, then he can control the world by controlling the one man.

Certainly there are those who just like to control things. You put ten men in a room and one of them will want to control the other nine. Most of the rest will be followers. I don’t know why this is but it is. Hence, the knights, the kings, the emperors all sought ultimate control. Rarely, occasionally, they had good reasons. After all, one man united Europe just it time to keep them from being overrun by the Moors, who came up through Spain with the intention of ruling Europe.

Then, you have those who want to rule the world by religion. I don’t mean Christianity, I mean religion. In essence the largest of all empires was that of the Roman Catholic Church. Though it passed itself off as a religion, it was nothing more than another method of world domination. Those who spoke contrary to it were in danger of losing their life. That is not Christianity. That is another form of controlling, no better than any other at the time.

So, when a person seeks to be left alone by those who would like to control him, most likely he will include the Catholic Church as well as those who fought wars to further their empires. (Wait a minute. The Catholics did fight wars to further their influence. The pope, himself took up his armor and sword in his battles. I really don’t think Peter would have done that.)
