Diplomacy

It would seem that Biden thinks he can bring back all of the American citizens in Afghanistan Let’s hope he succeeds before the Taliban starts using them for bargaining chips. The bad thing is, Joe has no bargaining chips.

Let me explain. If I should meet a man in a dark alley that is a foot taller than me who outweighs me by 50 pounds and knows Kung Fu, I might try diplomacy. I might try my powers of persuasion on the man. However, if I have a nine millimeter in the holster in the small of my back, my methods of diplomacy just might be simpler and more fruitful. More important, I just might be able to walk away from the incident.

The problem with Biden is that he does not seem to understand this method of diplomacy. He seems to think that if he says please, the will graciously concede. Maybe he figures if he gets down on his knees and pleads, they will turn all of them over.

To be sure, Biden does have many deadly weapons that he can use. The hitch is, now they do not believe he will use them until he uses them.

It is as I said in a previous post, the more the opponent fears you, the less likely it is that you will have to fight…the less likely it is that the enemy will suffer loss… the less likely Biden would lose one American life.

It is too late to try to bluff. Any bluff that Biden would try would likely be called, which means lives will likely be lost on both sides. It is why it was called a deterrent.

Let’s face it, it would do me little good for me to pull out the nine-milometer gun on my attacker if I won’t use it and my foe comes at me with flying hands and feet. To be sure, if President Eisenhower decided he would not respond to a nuclear attack, then all the missiles in all the world likely would not have stopped the Soviets from launching an attack and we would all be speaking Russian now, those of us that were left.
