Most folks will say four. For most of my life, that is what I’d say. However, we are in a new world. In this world, the women might be men and the men might be women. This is especially true for some men. That is to say, some men are women so they can compete with weaker women. Then too, there are the men who are conveniently women so they can shower with the women in the ladies locker room. And by the way, you better not say it’s a lye of convenience. You will have your hand slapped by the political correct police. On the other hand, you could be punished far worse. Indeed, some have been.

So, I figure that some just might start tinkering with our system of weights and measures. Wait a minute. They already are. They want us to buy gas by the liter and food by the kilogram. In a while, we will have speed limits by the kilometer and who knows what the measure will be for a cup of coffee.

They will do it under the name of making everything easier. Already, I find it more complex. I have to keep two sets tools. My car engines were measured by cubic inch and horsepower. Now they are measured by liter and dins. Sorry folks. I still can’t get my mind wrapped around that centigrade thing. The only thing I know for sure is that if it is 0 degrees centigrade, it’s cold. If one hundred, it’s hot.

In the past, I watched weather reports in Japan. Didn’t get much from it other than if it was going to rain or snow. All their temps were in centigrade. Every time they said a temp, I had to try to convert it in my head.

Now let me see. Every degree centigrade is 9/5 s of a degree Fahrenheit. Now, convert 21 to Fahrenheit in your head in less than 30 seconds. Fact is, until the conversion is done, it doesn’t mean much to me. And, by the way, Fahrenheit is almost twice as accurate as centigrade. Did anyone ever tell you that.

So. I figure it is only a matter of time they will start messing with the English measurements. I guess they will start telling us that a gallon is really three quarts or will it be liters? Of course they will. Those selling gasoline or milk will likely get behind it.

Don’t doubt them. They will do it. They did sell the idea that a man was really a woman. Which is easier? Which is more believable? It is a new world you know. Down is up and up is down. Good is evil and evil is good. If you know what’s good for you, you’ll not dispute it.
