During the design of my Nissan, they neglected to include a temperature gauge for the cabin. I know. I don’t need one. It’s redundant. I can tell if I am comfortable just by the feel. It’s kind of basic.
Nonetheless, I would like a thermometer to look at so as I can confirm things. I know. Dumb. Moreover, I seem to be a rare bird. I have searched uselessly to find a little simple gauge to put on my dash. Apparently, I am the only one in the world who wants one.
I have looked in auto stores, department stores and many other places. Finally, today, I searched Amazon. VIOLA!! (French for there it is) They actually have car cabin thermometers, sort of. Most are dual purpose, which I settled on. They do have some dial single purpose, but they are primarily Centigrade. The Fahrenheit is always on the inside with the smaller print.
I get it. They are trying to convert me. They want the whole world to convert to Centigrade but this is one dinosaur who is not going willingly. I have no use for a centigrade thermometer in my modern electric automobile. It means little to me to see one reading 15. My body sensing means more to me than that. I know that means it’s a little cool. (I think)
I don’t care about the outside temperature. I don’t care about the centigrade temperature. They mean little or nothing to me.
Oddly, in this modern world, it is getting increasingly difficult to determine.
How-some-ever, these 2 things I know. Boiling water is 212 degrees, but only if I am at sea level, more or less. And when water freezes, it is at or below 32. Don’t need any kind of instrument to figure that out.
