I guess safety trumps going green. Still I do wish someone would make up my mind. First I’m told, “Save the planet. Buy an electric car.”
Then during the big midsouth freeze, I’m told, please don’t charge your car. It might cause the electric grid to go down. Please, how is it that I am supposed to get around? I have no horse.
Now, I see news segmemts on TV saying I’m supposed to give up the electric car because it is too heavy. It seems they go through bearriers intedended for regular cars. Worse yet, the electric cars have an unfair advantage in an accident. It seems if my car and another car collide, I have a better chance of survival.
I have no idea what kind of organization is complaining, but I sort of like the idea. I need to have the car well labeled for all those Memphis drivers. That way, they are less to try to hit me. Mind you, the method may not be fullproof. Some of those characters just might try it to find out.
I’m sure you think I jest. You try driving around here and you will realize I speak too kindly of them.
At any rate, it’s too late. I’m going to keep the car…unless someone wants to by me the 300 mile model. I suspect I’ll have no takers. It has more battery power and likely more weight. Then, for sure, no one will want to hit me. I like that idea.
Now, I wonder, will those going green folks ever make up my mind?
