I Remember Well

They say don’t speak badly of the dead. Well, let’s see. The Dems speak badly of Jefferson, Washington, Gen. Lee, and a dozen others. They have destroyed statues that were made in their memory. If they can speak badly of those men, why can’t I speak badly of some, why can’t I?

Since Jimmy Carter died, I have heard over and over the good the man did, though even they admit they have to search high and low. Well, it did remind me of all what I remember. First, I was in the Marines when he became president. Most of us Marines had a saying. The marine emblem had been changed to just a globe and anchor. Carter was messing things up so much even the eagle was getting out. And, by the way, a lot of marines decided to get out because of the new Commander in Chief. I spoke to many of them. I can’t say specifically of any one thing but rather the whole atmosphere was changing when we got a Naval Chief of Operations with a name of Admiral Elmo Zumwalt. (and his actions matched his name. a real flower child of the age grown up)

Second, because of Carter’s weakness, Iran was turned over to a terrorist. We are still paying for that one. Remember the current efforts of Iran to build atom bombs. Remember, when we left Iraq, Iran took over and killed millions. (Obama had his part in that one.) Remember, when the new Iran regime took over, they also took over our embassy and took the staff hostage. Remember, after a great deal of planning and practicing, he arranged a hostage rescue attempt that was an embarrassment to him and the armed services of the US. Maybe he should have just arranged for the Israelis to do it and pay them.

Better yet, he could have just threatened to turn Israel loose on them. We would have had the hostages back in about 3 or 4 days.

Remember when he turned over the canal to Panama. Now that was dumb. When he started to do that, I remember thinking about it. That in itself was enough to activate the 26th amendment. It was crazy nuts. We spent a lot of money putting that canal in. We spent a lot of sweat putting that canal in there. We lost a lot of lives putting that canal in. And then President Carter hands it over and says, “Here you go. Here’s you a nice big present and it isn’t even Christmas.” And guess what? Now China controls it. Then to, it shouldn’t surprise anyone. The Dems care little or nothing about it.

Many speak of all he has done since his presidency. Okay. He built a lot of houses. That is nice. On the other hand, he has been very active in keeping abortion legal, frequent and at any time until birth. He claimed to be a Christian. I don’t know. God tells us not to be judgmental. If he was saved, my guess is that his ears will be burning for a while, considering the encouragement of the killing of the unborn. (Yep, if he is saved, he will still go to heaven, but he will have a lot of explaining to do.)

Well, truthfully, I will have some explaining to do too. But, at least it won’t involve the killing of millions of babies. The Dems like to point out all the Jews Hitler killed. And then they care not that the Dems have killed millions of babies.

If we want to put that on a set of scales, put the babies on one side, the houses on the other…. Do the houses really offset the lives of the babies.

However; as bad as he was, the Dems right now are far worse. I guess we can say that much for him, anyway.

My Argument

An unknown man walked up behind Brian Thompson, a CEO of the largest health care company in the US, and shot at him 5 times. Withing seconds, a fine man is dead on the ground.

That is pretty much what we know. Much of the rest is guesswork. We do know one or two other things, but in truth the police can only guess that it is all directly related. The man on the electric bike might not be the killer, though if not, might be a planned decoy. To a degree, he does seem to have too conveniently spotted.

I know, here I go with the conspiracy theories again. However, there is one more fact that cannot be overlooked. The gunman has, at least temporarily escaped. This is in spite of all the cameras in NY, NY.

They are guessing at how the shooter arrived and how he left. The point is, by this time, the man might be in almost any part of the world. No one knows who he is. Know one even has a good description.

On the other hand, he might be just a few miles away, hiding in the sea of humanity. NY, NY is a good place to hide considering there are over 8 million people there, he might could hide there for decades.

I don’t like the idea that a man can and has done this. However, the fact of the matter is, it has happened. We like to think we will find him. However, unfortunately, we may never know. The murder was apparently well planned and followed. They might have his DNA…good. However, they might not have anything to compare it to. Moreover, it is all academic if he is in Timbuktu.

It does remind me of another murder. Apparently the killer was Oswald. Apparently, he didn’t plan his killing nearly as well. They captured him in, what, an hour or two. At the time, they had no cameras as NY, NY does today.

To be sure, there were many who witnessed it. To be sure, there were, who knows how many, law enforcement officers in the area. Yet, when you come right down to it, it is easy to see that Oswald had no escape plan. Clearly, if there was a plan, it was to just run like crazy.

It is the primary reason that I think Oswald was not acting alone. That is, of course, assuming he was the one who shot Kennedy in the first place. There is another reason I have my questions. The evidence has been locked up in a vault and no one is allowed to see it for over half a century. People usually don’t hide stuff when they have nothing to hide.

Going back to, Brian Thompson. I hope they find and convict the killer. However, the longer it takes, the more I am likely to believe, his only justice will be God’s. That justice is more certain than that of man’s.

Are Mergers Good?

I haven’t done a lot of research on it. However, it seems to me that whenever one corporation buys or merges with another, the result seems to be a smaller or less effective a corporation than either of the companies. Consider, Boeing and McDonald Douglas. I might be wrong, but it seems that Boeing is not anything like either original company. The latest version of the 737 has been struggling since it left the drawing boards. Moreover, I don’t think the old Boeing would have put up with the apparent coverups attached recently to the plane and corporation. Don’t know so much about others, but I am beginning to think walking is a so much safer than flying. And most of incidents seem to be with Boeing aircraft.

I am open to suggestions. Am I just looking for something not there or have I stumbled onto something. It seems to me that I have stumbled onto several instances. I mean, American Motors bought out Jeep. Then American Motors started having problems and it was bought out by Chrysler. Then Chrysler was in a hair of going under. Well, that might not be such a good example. At one time, all of the big three were having big problems. There might not be a GM had we tax payers not have bailed them out. I kind of remember that one. In a way, I paid for my 2008 Chevy twice: once as a customer, once through my taxes.

I am sure that at one time, Oldsmobile merged with GM. Now there is no Oldsmobile. After Chysler bought AMC, the only part of American Motors left, near as I can tell, is jeep. The rest kind of disappeared. No more AMC cars at all. My question is, is Chrysler any bigger than it was when it bought American Motors. I don’t know. Can hardly manage a guess. However, it does seem that Ford and GM individually have more and larger dealers. I guess I could look up the sales. However, as I have mentioned before, I am lazy.

Just thought I would toss it out there. Something to think about, if you are as me and like to consider such things.

Incidentally, if you are in a position to consider a merger, you might want to think about twice, or maybe 4 times.

The Guarantee of Weakness

I am not one in favor of war. If I had the power, if I had the say so, I would end all wars. However, the fact of the matter is, until Jesus comes again, wars will continue. The irony of it all, some wars have been fought to end war. The English and Americans fought both world wars in hopes of ending all war. It had become a saying to encourage the effort. It didn’t stop war. Within years there were wars in the Far East and in a while, the US was in the midst of another war, which we tried to avoid.

All recent wars, at least the ones I know of, have started with one thing in common. One nation had hopes of taking control of another. I would name them for you, but you know them all. The reason that they thought they could win the war, the one nation was weaker than the other. The truth, had the US not come to the aid of Korea, it would all be as North Korea is today. Had we not come to the aid of South Vietnam, it would have fallen to the communists much quicker. The tens of thousands that escaped would still be there.

If we go back to Germany, most of the countries it took over, they took without force or little of it. Many countries fell to the Soviet Union with little resistance. The Soviets were in the process of taking over Poland while they they had hopes of shaking the shekels of Germany.

There is a guarantee that if the US were to do away with our army, some other county would immediately begin the takeover. I suspect the attack would come from many directions, possibly even Mexico.

We, as a nation don’t like the idea of going to war. As a nation, we prefer peace. Unfortunately, it is a one sided decision. If one country tries to take us over, then we are at war, like it or not. It is either that or let that county overtake us.

In years past, such attacks were simple. When England took over Scotland, they sent their armies, and eventually they overtook them. When William the Conqueror attacked England, it was at a time when England was weak. The Channel didn’t provide the protection and the better part of England was conquered, rather quickly I might add. Even today, many of the words in the English language come from French, ironically, including Parliament from the French word parler (to speak)

However, when Germany took over Austria, they were taken over from within. On the other hand, in a few days, they used the Blitz to take over Poland. Poland didn’t stand a chance when they were still using cavalry. Poland didn’t want war. They had no plans of attacking Germany. However, they got no vote in the matter. When Germany decided to attack it was almost over before it began; and hence, we had the official beginning of The Second World War.

And guess what. The world had no choice in the matter. There was no vote taken. The decision was made by a little man with a mustache. One day, Britain was considering war against Germany. The next they were rescuing their troops with every small craft they could muster.

There is something of an exception to this pattern, sort of. In April of 1861, the South fired on Fort Sumter. Did the South think the North was weak. Hardly. Yet, the South came close to winning the war. Why? Because the North was ill prepared with poor generals. If a few of the battles had turned out differently, and they almost did, the North would have lost.

My own personal opinion, the North had the equipment and machinery. The South had the skill and determination. Just a few more resources, a few skirmishes go the other way, we would have two nations instead of one.

Determination is one of those things that simply cannot be measured. Look at the Revolutionary War. The Colonies knew it was a hopeless cause. Yet they were determined. To King George, it was little more than a bother in that place across the sea.

The truth is, not all wars start because of weakness. However, for sure weakness is a guarantee for war. Indeed, it is just almost an invitation. It is just almost irresistible for those who want to rule the world. And, there is always someone who wants to rule the world.

On the other hand, strength is always a deterrent. Consider the cold war. Was the term not MAD? Mutually Assured Destruction. It is our strength that kept the Soviets from launching their weapons. It is what kept them from attacking with their planes and ships. If we destroyed our weapons, hoping they would do the same, we would all be speaking Russian now.

In one sentence, we don’t really want to issue any invitations, to any kind of war, whether it be with weapons or in the world of Spy vs Spy. We must remain relentless because they are. If we drop our guard, they will take it as an invitation. And then, it will be an end to it all. There will be no Declaration of Independence or Constitution. We can cease to be as quickly as Austria to Hitler, or Hungary to the USSR.

Friend or Foe

You notice the pattern? Whenever the the dems want to specify a person as a foe, they call him a Nazi, a Hitler, or some other German foe. It is the way they find convenient for dehumanizing the enemy. Trump is just the last of a list of people that they have decided make into the enemy. The first one I know of was the first Bush, the one that was a WWII hero. He hardly fits the bill of a Nazi. Since then, as far as I know, all the Republican nominees have been given the tag, which none of them deserved. Certainly Trump does not deserve the term. The fact of the matter is, if you look up the term Nazi, you will find that it is for a type of socialists. You know, where the government owns everything and runs all business.

Sort of sounds like communism, doesn’t it. It should. They are very close of kin. The differences are minute. However, the big difference is that the head of the Nazis was Hitler. Since, then, there have been others who have tried to take control of the Nazis, though no one has ever really managed to gain control as Hitler did.

During the time that Hitler was coming to power, the communists had already established themselves in Russia and they were spreading their tentacles on into Europe and somewhat into the US. You see, as with the Nazis, the communists sought power.

Hitler interrupted their process. He virtually destroyed the communists power in Europe. Being power hungry as socialists are, they started trying to expand their empire, throughout Europe and into England. On the other hand, there are many who believe that the communists had made inroads into the US. Many believed; and even accused President Roosevelt as being communist. I don’t guess we will ever know for sure, but he certainly helped them gain power in this country as well as aided them gain control of Russia.

The facts I’ve presented are undeniable. Argue them as you want, but if you go to the older history books, you will find them true.

So, When the second world war broke out, we had a socialist government in England, Germany and the US, as well as Russia. However, the Russians were called communists, the British they called socialists and and in the US, we called them Democrats. Also, you notice that the US did not get into the war until after Germany attacked Russia.

Deny it as you like, but, during the presidency of Roosevelt, the socialists, indeed the communists made more strides into control of our schools and government than ever before. Moreover, those strides became ingrained and there was no removing them.

I could go on and on. I do have the information and I can provide the proof. However, it has become something of a friend or foe thing. Whenever a socialists is in the Whitehouse, then he is considered a friend. Whenever a Republican is in the Whitehouse, he is considered a foe by the dems and the news media. Moreover, the first time a republican digs in and refused to give the communists their way, then the names come out instantly, Nazi, Hitler and so forth. “Why can’t those Republican compromise a little?” It has become a habit. Nazis are socialists. Trump is a capitalist, not a Nazi, not a socialists.

The way they figure it, anyone that isn’t a socialists is Nazi, which just isn’t so. Trump is neither a Nazi nor a foe. He is a friend who will make things better, that is if the socialists would stop trying to put him in prison.

Oh, and by the way, I noticed, they never do call Trump a communists or a socialists. That would be associating him with their friends, their heroes like Lenin and Stalin. No matter what else, you will never hear a dem degrade the their two heroes.

They Used to Make Movies There

That’s right. They made dozens of them each every year. Nowadays, not so much. They go to Atlanta; they go to Canada. They used to make good movies in Hollywood. They made many good movies there. I know. I used to go to them and watch them. However, the price seemed to keep going up as the quality kept going down.

I don’t even remember the last time time I saw any movie made for the theater. I have seen a few on TV. Since I had cable taken out, I can’t even remember seeing any of them. They no longer make any good movies in Hollywood. Nowadays, during Oscar night, they have problems finding five nominees worth an Oscar.

It doesn’t surprise me any. It has gotten too expensive. Consider, all the movie stars demanding their millions. Consider, the unions, demanding their cuts. I mean the pies are only so big.

Consider, the old plots can only be dragged through the ringer so many times. I mean, Superman is no longer so super. How many spidermen can we have before the NY, NY has too many webs hanging around.

Then too. There are too many folks afraid of offending too many folks. They tried the one remake of Red Dawn using China as the foe. That got changed quickly when China objected. I can’t remember what that one movie was that, who was it, I think Sony sued the studio. I’m not sure if we could do a remake of the gangsters without making some of their descendants upset. I mean, we would never want to upset the grand, grand child of Al Capone.

The thing is, why make the movies in Hollywood at all anymore. The Good, the Bad and the Ugly was made, I think, in Italy. We don’t need film anymore and the cameras are far less expensive… as well as the projectors. Who knows, a group of kids with an inspiration, a little talent and a little help could make something that would put Hollywood to shame, and they just might do it in Gallup, NM., or Flagstaff, Arizona.

And, per chance, they just might do it without one union member.

It Is Why the Founding Fathers Required the President to be a Born Citizen

We have, among our Congress, people who are not loyal citizens. If asked, I would guess they would admit it. Their loyalty belongs with Mid-eastern Arab and Persian nations. Some were not born here. Some were. However, the flag they chose to wave is not ours.

The more I think it over, the more I think the founding fathers did not go far enough. They maybe should have required that a person be born and raised in the US, not as Obama. He was born in Hawaii, but spent much of his younger years and education in the Middle-east. I would go one step farther and say that they should have parents born in the US. There are no guarantees of a loyal president, but if it were that way, we would not have had one who was not loyal, namely Obama who has stomped all over the Constitution and the Bill of Rights.

Also, I would have insisted on one more thing; natural born citizens for House and Senate members. I am sure there are those that would argue with me, but I know of a few that would not be causing us difficulty right now.

Finally, all those who prove to be disloyal after becoming citizens, should have their citizenship revoked for not not honoring their oath of citizenship.

Finally, one more thing. The English language should have been the official language, which means that people would not be able to do business in the US without knowing English or having an interpreter, who would in essence be acting in an official capacity. No paper should be legal unless it is in English.

I am sure that there are many who disagree with me. However, if it had all been set up that way in the beginning, this country would be in a lot better shape. We would not have so many who seek out destruction

from within.

There are those who say that the US is made of immigrants. To which I reply, legal immigrants – not illegal aliens. I say immigrants who took their oath seriously and became true US patriots. The illegal aliens are still loyal to their own country and would go back in a second, provided they could make the living there. That kind of “migrant” we don’t need. Not so much as one, and certainly not by the millions. Even more, we don’t need them in Congress considering that they have soiled the oath they took to become citizens and to become members of the House or Senate.

Can We Survive the McClellan Effect

Others may have used the term, but as far as I know, I am the first to coin the term McClellan effect. Just what is the effect and why is it? When the south took up arms and attacked the north in their effort to begin their own nation, General George B. McClellan managed to somewhat fight back the attack. However, he did not take advantage of situation. Eventually, Abe Lincoln fired him. That is history. Most fifth or sixth graders in a good school system knows this.

For this reason, I feel he is best suited to name the effect after. McClellan was considered a good leader by many, until he had to lead. Some folks claim that the civil war would not have lasted as long and the loss of life would not have been so great if Lincoln dismissed him earlier. It turned out, McClellan was more politician than soldier. He preferred his recognition to doing his job. He totally enjoyed moving in the political people in Washington but he knew not how to fight a war.

He was a good peacetime general, but when the cannon fire started, his lack of skill could be easily seen by, well by a sixth grader.

I have no idea why it is, but during peace time, we turn the military over to the McClellans. It is why I call it the McClellan effect. Even during the short WW I, the leadership changed drastically. Eisenhower started WW II as a colonel. He climbed the rung pretty fast, to the point of heading all allied forces in Europe. How many generals of the McClellan type did he pass on the way up. Most likely as he passed them, they asked what that was that passed so fast.

Not all of the good generals made it to the top. They made a movie about him. If you get the chance, you need to see it, “The Court Martial of Billy Mitchell.” They tossed him out of the Army for having the nerve to suggest that planes can destroy even the biggest battleship. That angered a bunch of Navy admirals, even though everything he said was totally right. I don’t know how many of those admirals were honored but the B-25 was named in honor of Gen. Mitchell, the plane used by Doolittle in the raid over Tokyo.

Billy Mitchell was one of those generals who could not survive the politics of peacetime while the admirals did. I wonder just how many men died because of that.

Now, we are in a quasi peace time. It is an environment in which only the political generals survive. it makes me wonder just how many Billy Mitchells we have lost. If I were appointed sec. of Defense, the first thing I would do would be to fire all four and three star generals. From where I sit, none of them are any better leaders than I was. They do know how to say, “Yes sir,” to Old Joe though. And now our armed forces are degrading to far worse than when Reagan became president. Then again, I guess they can’t be totally guilty when you consider what they have for a commander in general.

The problem is, should we ever suffer another Pearl Harbor, would we be able to overcome the McClellan effect long enough to get the good generals in a place where they will do us any good. We might not have months. We might not have days. We might not even have hours.

The Democracy vs the Republic

It is a shame but the vast populace of the US get the two terms confused. You don’t need to take my word for it, but they are not the same. You can look it up. Moreover, though the Democrats would like us to believe we live in a democracy we don’t and never did.

The fact is that we live in a representative republic. No sane person who knows and understands what a democracy is would want to live in a true democracy. Let’s consider a home owner’s association run totally by democracy. Let’s also assume that there are 100 members in the association.

At this point, 51 people would control all 100. If 51 people decided that the other 49 needed to pay 55% of the cost of the operating costs, guess what? 51 people would pay 55% of the operating costs. 49 people would pay only 45 % of the operating costs.

“Unfair!” you say. And it is. It is the weakness of the democracy. The minority would always be at the mercy of the majority. It is why, when they wrote the Constitution, they decided on a representative republic. The same problem, to some degree still exits, however, there are some advantages in the republic in that there are protections in the system for the minority. The majority has some limitations over minority.

We do not vote on the laws. We vote for people who write and vote on the laws. As such, the majority has it’s limits. There were many things in the constitution that keep the majority from rough-riding over a small group, or even an individual. Certainly, The Ten Amendments are a big part of it. By them, individuals and groups are protected from the government, which represents the majority.

Theoretically, before a man can be imprisoned, he must be convicted of a crime. Moreover, there is great care to make sure that many rights must be observed. Laws and procedures must be followed. Moreover, there are higher courts to make sure of this.

The democrats don’t like these procedures. President Trump was convicted outside a proper trial system. It will very likely at some point be overturned. Nonetheless, it shows what happens when the mass takes control, a true democracy. Virtually all of Trumps rights have been sidestepped by a biased system. The whole court system, even the jury was strongly biased. They needed no proof. The prosecutor could have stood before them and said he’s guilty and they would have returned a guilty verdict on the spot.

No one, but not one person should be glad at what happened. It is the 51% ruling over 49% regardless of the evidence. AND it can happen to all of us. If it can happen to a multi-billionaire, it most certainly can happen to a penniless man in the slums, no matter what color his skin is.

One of the most important and overlooked amendments is the tenth, in which all authority which is not explicitly given to the federal government is supposed to be reserved to the states and the people. Nowadays, it is mostly ignore. Some laugh at the few important words. If it were properly observed, there would be no department of education. There would be no FEMA. It was a good thing that the north won the Civil War. However, the the 10th Amendment was one of the casualties of the war. Since the war ended, not many pay attention to it. And we truly suffer because of it.

I have a question concerning this. Do we really want to put the national government in charge of deciding what we teach and and how we teach our kids. It is how Hitler took over in Germany, through the schools, and quickly. Better that schools be controlled as local as possible.

When The Constitution was first ratified, senators were selected by the state assemblies. The idea was, the people selected the representatives and the states select the senators. A constitutional amendment ended that, as well as all representation of the states. It was a horrible blow to the concept of a republic.

Now, another aspect of the republic is apparently sitting on the chopping block. If it falls, it will be devastating. The majority will have their rule. The president will be selected by the majority and the communists will take over. Maybe not immediately, but soon.

Believe it or not, their is a purpose to the Electoral College. I suppose if we do away with it, we’ll find out about it. Maybe a little late.

As Evil as Hitler?

Repeatedly, I hear people say this man or that man is as bad as Hitler.

Well, let’s see. Just what measure do we use to see who is it that really is like Hitler.

Actually, Hitler was but one of the really bad evil men of the day. Hitler took his lead from Italian dictator, Mussolini. I mean Hitler was well on his way, but he raised his head, looked around, and decided he liked what was going on in Italy.

Then there was Hedeki Tojo. He was the Japanese general who had designs on controlling the entire South Pacific, including Australia. Oh, and by the way, he was already pushing into Eastern Russia and Alaska.

I ask, why is it that people don’t say, “so&so is as bad as Tojo?” It’s always Hitler is the benchmark.

To be sure, there are people in the world today who are evil, maybe even more evil than Hitler, more evil than Musolini, and yes, more evil than Tojo.

I’m not going to call names but rather explain the evil. It’s not new, you know. Let’s see. Who was the character with the fiddle, the one that played it while Rome burned?

Actually, I think he wasn’t the only evil Roman ruler. It just is he is the only one I can think of off the top of my noggin. Please, let’s not forget the Spanish inquisition, which likely killed a bunch of folks because they refused to be Catholic. Oh, I am sure there are many that would like us to forget that one.

You see, evil has, does and will continue to exist until Jesus Christ, Himself puts a stop to it at his second coming.

It exist, firstly because man is evil. No need teach a child to lie, steal or hurt others. It comes naturally. Indeed, a child must be taught not to do these things. If not taught and trained, and disciplined, he very likely will become a monster, conceivably like Hitler, only without all the power. To be sure, even those who are brought up properly can become horrible.

Many of them grow up to be just as bad as Tojo, Musolini, and yes, Hitler. They just don’t have the power, the following, or maybe they don’t have the charisma.

President Trump had the power. He had the following. It’s sort of how you can tell what kind of man he is. He used his position of authority to improve this country, and the world.

The evil people increase taxes. He decreased them. Evil people start wars to gain power. He quickly brought wars to ends and started none. Evil people seek to gain power. Trump was always trying to return power to the people and the states.

Certainly, we should not forget, there is an evil power in this world seeking to give it to evil people. He used to be a very attractive angel. Today he is a demon. He destroys every life he can. He does it through evil people, like Nero, like Hitler, and yes, given the chance, like the Catholic church.

Don’t tell me Trump is evil as Hitler. He had the chance to do evil but he only did good. For this, Satan and his hords of evil doing people have done everything that they can do to destroy him. Now, trying to destroy a man who did only good, that is evil. It is what the likes of the Soviets did. They were not natzi, but they were as bad if not worse.
