Each Solution Breeds New & Worse Problems

New Mexico has implemented a groundbreaking free child care program, as reported by CBS News. During an interview, the state’s governor explained that the initiative will be fully funded through oil revenue, providing significant relief for families across the state.

Wait a minute! I thought the production and use of petroleum products were going to destroy the world. It is what the Democrats have been warning us about for decades now. It was causing decreases in temperatures and then increases in temperatures. It was supposed to flood massive amounts of land, including virtually all of Florida.

Do we really want to rely on and hence encourage the production and use of that horrible cause of climate change, oil? According to that climate expert, Al Gore, if we persist at that, danger lingers just around the bend. Well, maybe not. You see, climate change only occurs when the fuel is used by Republicans. That is the way it works, you see.

Now, back to the primary subject, daycare. First, bear in mind that there are potential problems. For instance, both my wife and I worked nights. Does this mean that they will have to provide daycare at night too? (That is, if you can comprehend the obvious conflict of daycare at night.)

The proposed regulations for day care centers aim to elevate quality standards, which will likely result in increased operational costs. While ensuring high-quality childcare is commendable, these changes may inadvertently drive up expenses. The potential surge in demand could necessitate expanded infrastructure, including more day care facilities and additional teaching staff. This scenario exemplifies the fundamental economic principle of supply and demand: as costs to parents goes away, the desire for such services naturally increases.

Perhaps one thing not thought of is the two-parent family where only one works. I’m sure that rare wife who stays home will appreciate that babysitter, though not actually needed.

It’s the way it is with those short sighted democrats. They come up with all these wonderful ideas and they don’t think them through. Then again, maybe it is as they want. One of the most important goals of the communist for government control of children to start as soon and as much as possible. We just might find something two-year-olds coming home and preaching the wonderful benefits of Marxism.

Don’t be surprised when it comes to past.

It Seems Every Other Year

I don’t know. Maybe my memory is just playing tricks with me. It just seems every other year Huston is being hit by bad weather. If it’s not a hurricane it’s something else. And then, of course, every time they get hit, Uncle Sam Reaches deep in his pocket to help them climb out of another disaster.

The area is subject to bad weather and it appears they do so little to plan for it. I’m no engineer, but I have noted that other places have done things to prevent so much damage. I mean people who live along rivers will generally build levees long enough to go around Houston two or three times. On the other hand, every time Houston gets hit by another storm, I see no evidence of anything they did since the last one to prevent flooding.

Has anyone checked into the possibility of building some kind of barrier even if it is nothing but dirt. My own personal opinion, those people in New Orleans aren’t too bright building part of their city below sea level, but they do make some success in holding back the tides in between floods.

This last storm that hit Houston was just a cat 1. I can’t imagine what might have happened if a cat 3 hit them. To be sure, nature does throw the unexpected storms at us. We, here in Desoto County have had our share and we even had our share of flooding. However, in between storms, we rebuild stronger and better. Each time, we do something so as we can manage the flood waters better.

One year, we were kind of pinned in to our home by a flood. That was a long time ago, maybe 40 years. Since then, the engineers have been busy. That year, the flooding came up to the end of our street. Since then, the water hasn’t gotten close. I would guess the engineers around here know what they are doing. More important, they are busy working on it. I see no evidence of anyone doing anything in Houston. It seems, each time the storms do more damage than the time before.

Can the weather still hit us. Sure. We can get hit by tornadoes. We have had a few close ones. Not much we can do about them. But if we could we would. It would seem, every time Houston gets hit, they just say, oh well. We Texans can handle it, while all the time they have a hand out to Uncle to help pay for the repairs.

Of course, I am sure there are those that ask, what can we do? I ask, what have you tried to do?

I am quick to note, Houston is not the only area always looking for rest of us to pay for their poor choice of a place to live. NY, NY has been hit by a few storms and I have been asking them why they do noting to prepare. Considering the high percentage of dems in the city, I would thing they would be doing something to brace themselves against the rising seas. As near as I can tell, they have done nothing since their last storm. It does make me wonder, how high do the oceans have to rise before there ocean water running down the the streets knee deep and into the subways. Has anyone even asked the question?

Boeing & ESG

Boeing participates in Old Joe’s Environmental, Social, and Governmental ideas. It is not a required program, but those companies that refuse to take part, Joe makes it goes rough on them.

I looked up Boeing’s program. It wasn’t difficult. It took me less than 5 minutes. They seem proud of it.

For those who have not had it explained to them, it means putting environment, social justice and government at high or maybe highest priority. This means, over safety, over making money, over religion (right & wrong) as well as all other things.

For decades, Boeing has had a very strong reputation, top to bottom, bottom to top. I say it this way because it seemed as important for those building the planes as those in the management.

Now it would seem that the feds have gotten into the management, things are getting sloppy. I dare say, it seems true throughout aviation.

We have parts falling off planes. When they checked about the panel falling off, they found other planes with problems from the factory. Then, they fond other problems too.

That problem with the door panels was a real disaster waiting to happen. As it was, it provoked real fear into those on that plane. I’m sure it caused real financial problems with the Airlines too.

It makes me wonder, why the sudden increase in errors. Who, if anyone was punished. Were there any shake-ups in management. I’ll never know.

Worst, we will never know what role ESG played in it. We will never know what role it played in the decisions after the fact. Are there any corrections not made for the sake social justice? Will any lives be lost in the name of the environment? Finally, what role did the government have to say in the matter?

It has led me to wonder if we will ever learn what all this monster from Maryland has brought to us.

I hear stories of people suing, though I am not sure who they will be suing. Normally, I would not be in favor of such suits. It drives the cost of air travel up.

In this case, let them go at it. A real message needs to be sent, safety is far more important than ESG. Actually most everything is more important than ESG. That person in that seat nearest that panel that fell off will likely 2nd my motion.
