If You Could Read my Mind

It is the Gordon Lightfoot hit of 1970. Since then, others have recorded it. I liked it the first time I heard it. In fact, I regret that I don’t have a copy of it. In fact, I just went to Nam when it came out, another reason to remember it. However, at least I can hear it on over the internet. According to Wikipedia, Gordon Lightfoot attributes his divorce as inspiration for the lyrics of the song. I have no reason to doubt that. It would seem there is pain in every word, both as written and sung.

Nonetheless, the song, especially the title, is a little interesting, isn’t it? I’m not sure I would like it if you could read my mind, that is unless I could control it. I am afraid you just might find out more about me than I would like.

I suspect it is similar with most of us. To be sure, the vast number of us would like to be able to keep our thoughts private. On the other hand, we would really like to read the minds of others, you know, like our boss. Women might like to know what that good looking man is thinking… or maybe not.

Certainly, the vast number of politicians would not like us to be able to read their minds. You think maybe Kamala would prefer we not know her thoughts. On the other hand, I’m not sure. I almost get the feeling that Trump would prefer we could read his mind. I think he has is telling us what he thinks. If we could read his mind, I don’t think we would have many surprises. I do believe his interest is in making things better for us all.

With Kamala, I don’t need to read her mind to know where her interest lie with her and her party. Her goal is control, in any way she can acquire it. It is what she wants. What I can’t understand, why would anyone want her to have that control, in light of what she has done in the past.

It Is Just Two Sides of the Same Coin

Communism, Fascism. They are both socialism. They both seek the same thing. They both result in death. Indeed Communism has has arguably resulted in more death than than Fascism. We normally attribute the death of 6 million Jews to Hitler, though it was likely far more. You add to that the deaths of allied soldiers taking back Europe from Nazi control, we might be looking at over another 6 million. Yeah. Pretty close to what Lennon and Stalin killed, in Russia. About one tenth what Mao killed, in China. No telling how many were killed in Indonesia.

The fact is that they use the same methods, the same procedures. Look at Hitler. Look at Stalin. They both lied and called it the truth. They both controlled the media. They both controlled the education system and youth.

Yet, the dems demonize Hitler and Idolize the Soviets. And, of course, they love democracy, as long as the Republicans have no say in running government(s), local or federal. When I look at the dems, I see the same methods as Bolsheviks. They are less violent, but it is not for lack of trying.

If There Is No God

Why are atheist so afraid of the Ten Commandments. Would they be so afraid if I just made them up. If there is no God, someone did make them up. Yet, it would seem every non-Christian is afraid if they are put in out schools, our courts, our public buildings, you would think we released a big brood of snakes.

Calvary Baptist Church in Horn Lake, MS, put up a sign, “Jesus only saves.” It is on church property and the atheists cannot have it removed, but they would if they could. Indeed, they would be willing to pay a fortune to have it removed. But what harm does it cause anyone?

I suspect that if I put a cross out front of my house, about 2 or 3 feet high, I figure it would take about 10 minutes before I started getting complaints. The cross would likely last about 30 minutes before someone knocked it down.

People don’t like Christian symbols. Actually, many are ready to go to into major battles over them and the people who put them up.

It is relatively recent. When I was a boy, we had a Christian based musical at our schools. No one complained. Now they do. But it’s only the atheist. It is because it is an irritant to Satan and his minions. There is no other reason. There is no other cause for their anger.

Considering they don’t believe in Jesus, they certainly spend a lot of time and effort into destroying Him. If there is no Christ, they waste time and effort fighting nothing.

Flight?

Thousands of years ago, birds learned how to take flight. It took us many eons after. As the flies and bees were hovering around, man was still proud that he could go about 50 mph on wheels. And here’s something for you, we still don’t have a clue how a fly lands on the ceiling up-side-down. I’m not sure we will ever figure that one out and I am not sure that they even have brains. That is something of a blow to man’s ego.

Inadvertently, they discovered that the one most scary part of a pilot’s mission is the return to the carrier and putting his plane back down on the deck. This, of course, after years of practice. Can you imagine if we had to land upside down, you know, like the fly.

There is no telling how long man tried to copy the birds. Of course there are some images back from the middle ages. However, there were no photographs of anyone soaring through the sky. I suspect there were many instances of failure.

Some have suggested that before the original sin, man was able to fly. I don’t know. Don’t ask me to confirm that one way or the other. I wasn’t there. I don’t know anyone to ask. However, the Bible does say that Adam was given dominion over all the animals. The question arises, if Adam was to have dominion over the birds, how was that without him being able to fly?

You have no idea how many times that I have dreamed I could fly. You know the bad thing about that. I always wake up. I often wonder if flying would be anything like what it felt like in my dreams.

Wouldn’t it be slick to be able to go up to 5 or 10 thousand feet and look down on the world as the birds do? Now here’s a question. If I could fly, would I be able to land on a ceiling stay there up-side-down? Lacking the proper feet for the task, I think I might land and then immediately fall.

If we were able to fly, can you imagine if God had allowed us to continue to fly after Adam ate the fruit? It didn’t take a generation for the first killing. If we could fly, I’m not sure we would have lasted until the flood. The mid-air flights and murders would be very common.

If God took away our ability to fly, I don’t think that was all. To be sure, the Bible does say Adam had dominion. There is no telling what other abilities He originally provided.

My guess is, when we go to heaven, we again have these abilities again. Who knows? Maybe we will again fly like the birds, but without wings. Perhaps I will be able to even land on the ceiling.

Kamala is Qualified

Unfortunately, Kamala has all the qualifications for president. She was born in the US and she is over 35. Those are the only two qualifications written in the Constitution.

However, it is also true that she could be impeached almost the minute after taking the oath. You and I both know that she does not intend to follow it. Unfortunately, you and I also know that would not be effective. It would take 2/3 of the Senate to convict her. You and I both know that won’t happen, no matter what she was guilty of. The dems stick together like super glue. Besides, Kamala knows better than to do anything but what she is told to do.

Friend or Foe

You notice the pattern? Whenever the the dems want to specify a person as a foe, they call him a Nazi, a Hitler, or some other German foe. It is the way they find convenient for dehumanizing the enemy. Trump is just the last of a list of people that they have decided make into the enemy. The first one I know of was the first Bush, the one that was a WWII hero. He hardly fits the bill of a Nazi. Since then, as far as I know, all the Republican nominees have been given the tag, which none of them deserved. Certainly Trump does not deserve the term. The fact of the matter is, if you look up the term Nazi, you will find that it is for a type of socialists. You know, where the government owns everything and runs all business.

Sort of sounds like communism, doesn’t it. It should. They are very close of kin. The differences are minute. However, the big difference is that the head of the Nazis was Hitler. Since, then, there have been others who have tried to take control of the Nazis, though no one has ever really managed to gain control as Hitler did.

During the time that Hitler was coming to power, the communists had already established themselves in Russia and they were spreading their tentacles on into Europe and somewhat into the US. You see, as with the Nazis, the communists sought power.

Hitler interrupted their process. He virtually destroyed the communists power in Europe. Being power hungry as socialists are, they started trying to expand their empire, throughout Europe and into England. On the other hand, there are many who believe that the communists had made inroads into the US. Many believed; and even accused President Roosevelt as being communist. I don’t guess we will ever know for sure, but he certainly helped them gain power in this country as well as aided them gain control of Russia.

The facts I’ve presented are undeniable. Argue them as you want, but if you go to the older history books, you will find them true.

So, When the second world war broke out, we had a socialist government in England, Germany and the US, as well as Russia. However, the Russians were called communists, the British they called socialists and and in the US, we called them Democrats. Also, you notice that the US did not get into the war until after Germany attacked Russia.

Deny it as you like, but, during the presidency of Roosevelt, the socialists, indeed the communists made more strides into control of our schools and government than ever before. Moreover, those strides became ingrained and there was no removing them.

I could go on and on. I do have the information and I can provide the proof. However, it has become something of a friend or foe thing. Whenever a socialists is in the Whitehouse, then he is considered a friend. Whenever a Republican is in the Whitehouse, he is considered a foe by the dems and the news media. Moreover, the first time a republican digs in and refused to give the communists their way, then the names come out instantly, Nazi, Hitler and so forth. “Why can’t those Republican compromise a little?” It has become a habit. Nazis are socialists. Trump is a capitalist, not a Nazi, not a socialists.

The way they figure it, anyone that isn’t a socialists is Nazi, which just isn’t so. Trump is neither a Nazi nor a foe. He is a friend who will make things better, that is if the socialists would stop trying to put him in prison.

Oh, and by the way, I noticed, they never do call Trump a communists or a socialists. That would be associating him with their friends, their heroes like Lenin and Stalin. No matter what else, you will never hear a dem degrade the their two heroes.

Let’s Talk Priorities

Here we are. Tens of thousands of illegal aliens streaming over our borders, many of which are criminals, many of which are terrorists. We are facing serious problems in inflation, economics if you will. We have really strange people trying to turn our boys into girls and girls into boys. Our education is among the worst in the world.

And of course, the biggest argument by Kamala and the dems is, they must protect the “rights” of the women to kill their own children. Their biggest fear is that the orange man will not allow any woman to go to a doctor and have their baby cut into pieces.

I would ask, does anyone understand this madness. However, it would appear that I am in the minority. I do not understand this obsession the dems have with the death and specifically the death of the defenseless.

Most Dangerous?

I have been told by many that the Cuban missile crises was the most dangerous since WWII. I never agreed with that. Moreover, it was JFK’s cowardice in Bay of Pigs that led to the crisis.

That aside, not one missile was fired. Not one person lost his or her life. Not one building was destroyed.

On the other hand, so many missiles have been fired in the Middle East that I have lost count. It is true that none of them were nuclear, however, many have died and many are dying. To be sure, many more will lose their lives. Finally, I have been told for years that Iran is two weeks from having nuclear weapons.

Eventually, at some point, for sure, they will have one and they will use it without hesitation. Then, a lot of people will die.

Do we still want to say that the Cuba crisis was the worst? At what point do we call the Iran leaders worse than Hitler? When is it that that we want to put the whole thing at the top of the priorities? I have a hint. If Kamala gets in there, it will never happen. Though she claims that human life is important to her, the only lives important to her are those who vote for her.
