Anywhere but Here

Seems an odd thing to say, but it was what a young marine said in answer to the question, “Where are you going?”

Let me explain a little. The place was Camp Pendleton. It was a pleasant evening. The weather was nice. Then, without warning, the ground started shaking, the power poles began swaying and some started running, as did this man.

When finally cought after a long chase, the one with stripes did ask the question and the young private still under training did reply, “Anywhere but here.”

It does bring to mind, more-or-less the same qestion, when you permit the communists to assume control of this country, what will you say when someone asks where will you go. Maybe you’ll reply anywhere but here. However, just as when earth quakes strike, there will be nowhere to go. Worse, death may await anyone who does try to go anywhere.
