Fear came over us. We had just arrived home. My wife and I had left the car, and I was about to help her into the house.

Then, she said she couldn’t walk. For the next four minutes, I didn’t have a clue what the problem was and I certainly didn’t know what to do. Finally, the puzzle was solved and resolved. I opened the door which freed her jacket.

You will be happy to know we then proceeded to the house, a short walk away.

We had a laugh. Then, finally, I was able to take the groceries inside. Afterward, I sat down to rest for a while. Then there was a pounding at the front door. To my surprise, two policemen were there. It seems I had left the door open, which was noted by a neighbor.

It was all just part of a day full of surprises, quite a few of them.
