About 30 years ago, I broke my ankle. My wife called 911. Both ambulance attendants were women, not much more than a 100 pounds, each. Had it not been for several neighbors that came over to help, they would not have been able to put me on a stretcher, let alone in the ambulance.
It does bring up the question. Would you rather two small women come out to help you if your life depended on it, or 2 big strong men?
The fact is that sometimes , it’s not a matter of what you like or want, But rather what you need.
Sometimes, sending a couple of 110 pound women to put a 260 pound man a stretcher is ludicrous.
As it was, things turned out somewhat OK. As it was, the time element was not that critical. It only meant additional pain and swelling. Fortunately, if was not life or death. Thankfully, they did have some men to help.
The fact is, as far as I’m concerned, there are just some jobs women should not apply for… Least wise, the110 pound variety.
And here’s my question of the day. Why in the world should I, or anyone need to ever argue this point. It really should be casual to the most obvious observer. Don’t you think?
