From what I understand, half a billion dollars was sent in to Texas in an effort to turn the state blue. It didn’t work. It’s not only still red but they also still have one of the best senators of the country. They said it would be close. I don’t know who “they” are but they just wasted half a billion dollars. Also it wasn’t close. Even though I find it horribly unethical, in this case, I sort of like the outcome.
“They” also said they would replace Scott as Senator in Florida. Not close. Last I looked, nearly 3/4 of the vote went to Scott. The dems that backed that endeavor likely didn’t like that outcome. They might want to start investing their political funds somewhere else.
I voted about 3:00 It was in the midst of a rainstorm. I got a little wet but I was the first in line. The rain stopped just before I left and there were dozens of more voters coming in. I guess we can call them fair-weather voters.
The polls closed at 7 PM and I saw the results of the vote of Mississippi about 3 or 4 minutes after 7. Why can’t other states do that. Well, there are a few others. Alabama beat Mississippi by about 10 seconds.
One thing I have found both alarming and confusing. There are dems coming from the north into Desoto and bringing their voting habits with them. I would assume that is where they are coming from. Memphis is about the only city around here where there are an abundance of dems.
The confusing part is, if they like democrat leaders, why not stay in Memphis?
Well, maybe I do have an idea. In Shelby county, they have bad schools. In Shelby county they have to wait sometimes for days to get car tags. Desoto schools are pretty good… far better than Shelby County. Last three times I renewed my car tag, it took about 3 minutes. If I thought it over a while, I am sure I can think of several other things, you know, the stuff dems don’t do well that Republicans do.
One more thing. Harald Ford Jr. was on Fox today and said something I agree with, something I seldom do. What he said was that the dems are not the only ones who can learn a lessen from this election. There were many Republicans that lost too. My only notation, it is the ones Rush Limbaugh called the country club Republicans. They are those that most of us call rinos. They just might want to reconsider their stance on things like, you know, the border.
