You will get in trouble if you go to any store but A you will be called into the Store Control Board and you will be soundly scolded. If you complain that store A is the worst of the stores, you will be reminded, it is for the good of the stores, you see. We don’t want any of the stores to go broke, you see.

Ridiculous. Yes. Of course, it is. Yet, when it comes to schools, your choice is gone. Your child will go to school A, even if it is the worst school in the city, the worst in the state, or even the worst in the universe. Can anyone explain that to me, please?
