Not a Fan of Microsoft

For sure, I do have a list of complaints with MS. I am sure they don’t care. I’m not their only customer. Yet, as far as I’m concerned, all their versions of Windows since XP have been downhill. Worse they have forced me off XP making virtually all my software instantly obsolete.

I didn’t much care for that.

More recently, they wanted me to try out another version of Outlook. I did and found it slow clumsy and it provided me nothing in return. The did add a few things, all useless to me.

So, logically I went back to the previous version. All was fine but for one thing. Every time I start the old Outlook, it kept trying to get me to try the new version. I saw no way of removing the annoyance so I removed outlook. I still get my email on my tablet just fine. Moreover, here lately, I’ve been using my tablet far more than my computer anyway.

Don’t much like MS trying to override me on the control of my computer. If they keep it up, I’ll toss the computer and will rely completely on the tablet.

As an aside, I wouldn’t be updating the software once a week- annoying and time consuming. Moreover, I will be able to drop the $50 internet and just use the tablet’s built-in modem.

Who knows? It is conceivable my idea will catch on and MS will be more willing to listen to their customers. Just, not likely in my lifetime.
